Love Hurts
Dimaria Yesta was sitting at a table in a local café that her fiancée, Brandish Myu, took her to just for funsies, as she said. However, Brandish's appetite took over, as Dimaria had been waiting five minutes for Brandish to fill out their orders. While Dimaria was skimming through the menu, someone knocked on the table, causing her to put the menu down, and look up with a raised eyebrow. When Dimaria saw who was knocking, she rolled her eyes as it was just some guy with long blonde hair tied into a man-bun, skinny jeans, a backward baseball cap, and sunglasses hanging from his shirt collar.
"Hey babe, did it hurt when you fell down from heaven?" the man pathetically flirted, causing Dimaria to almost break out laughing, However, before Dimaria could utter a chuckle, Brandish slapped the top of the table, and looked at the boy who tried to flirt with her fiancée. Brandish didn't have a glare on her face, but Dimaria could feel some tension coming from the dark purple aura coming from Brandish's body.
"No it didn't, because I was right there to catch her," Brandish said through grit teeth as the man, noticing that he may have touched a nerve, tried to back away. However, Brandish walked closer to him, with a glare now much more evident on her face. "But do you know what is going to hurt?"
"What?" the man said after taking a deep gulp of air and saliva, not liking where this was going.
"When I kick you right in the balls so hard that the point of my stilettos stabs you right through your sack if you don't get the fuck out of here now," Brandish threatened, taking the guy's sunglasses, throwing them on the ground, and stomping on them with her stilettos, breaking them into pieces. The interloper ran off in fear as the rest of the patrons of the café pretended that they didn't see anything, not wanting to piss off the master of the Command T magic.
"Randi, was that really necessary? He was just some douchebag. I don't think he was really worth the threat," Dimaria said as Brandish turned around, and sat down in the chair next to Dimaria.
"Maybe, but this is the third time this week that we've gone out somewhere, and some guy tries to get with you," Brandish said, blushing lightly as she directed her eyes at the sidewalk beneath her feet.
"You know that I'm not into guys at all, so you have nothing to worry about. But how did you even know that guy was flirting with me? You were in the café."
"Well, I just had this feeling that some douche was trying to come after my fiancé, and I knew I had to come over here before he did something he was going to regret," Brandish explained, casting glares at a couple of the men who were looking over at them from another table. This caused these men to nearly jump out of their chairs, not wanting to get on Brandish's bad side after the threat they heard Brandish give to the douchebag from earlier.
"Well, I appreciate that Randi, but I can take care of myself. Plus, I wouldn't even be interested regardless of whether I was with you or not," Dimaria responded, massaging Brandish's hand as the waiter came with the food that Brandish had ordered.
"I know, but…it just makes me so mad when I see some gross guy coming up to you and flirting with you like that," Brandish responded, looking down as the waiter placed the spaghetti she ordered in front of her. Once the waiter left to help another table, Dimaria chuckled at Brandish, leaned over the table, and kissed her on the cheek before giving that cheek a light pinch.
"I appreciate that Randi. It's nice to know that you care about me so much. And for the record, if it makes you feel better, if any guy tried to put the moves on you, I'd make sure they wouldn't do it again," Dimaria said with a smile, pulling out a sword and twirling it with her fingers. Brandish struggled to stifle a chuckle as she got up from her seat, walked over to Dimaria, and gave her a peck on the lips as Brandish grabbed her chair, and moved it closer to Dimaria.
"I love you, Mari," Brandish mumbled, as she and Dimaria laughed at each other, as they tried to feed each other and talk about their individual days.
