The Opportunity wasn't the same after Handsome Jack died. The entrance made it clear enough with its two WELCOME TO OPPORTUNITY banner torn apart. Blood splatters can be seen everywhere, along with amputated robot parts scattering the area. Broken glass windows in glass buildings can be seen from below, and machinery noises from construction can no longer be heard. It seemed like a civil war broke in here and no more bots are guarding around the area. It is basically similar to a bandit town now, but with fancy buildings still standing tall.

Despite the deserted presence of this left-to-rot city, Zero still came in warily with a corrosive SMG in his hands. He stealthily sprinted from one corner to another, hiding and peering interchangeably just to be certain. He ran across the same things he'd seen from the entrance, dead bodies and broken loaders.

Except in the Living Legend Plaza, Zero saw a couple of engineers still lurking around with guns in their hands as if they're still working for a tyrannical boss. There were a few number of loader bots as well.

He positioned himself behind a bush and brought out his sniper rifle, peeking through the scope. The Opportunity wasn't entirely abandoned at all, but it is definitely easier to take down enemies this time without another hundred of bots and engineers ganging up to take down a vault hunter. Zero locked the crosshair between the first Hyperion in line between his face, and immediately pulls the trigger. With one abrupt shot, blood sprayed against the wall behind them as the dead man fell on the ground.

The other engineers frantically moved into positions with their guns drawn, searching for the culprit through rigid movements. Zero fired another accurate headshot, taking down another Hyperion. The four other men began to scramble in other areas, turning their heads from side to side and upwards. The assassin was ready to snipe once again when he heard a loader bot advancing behind him. Zero quickly moved out of spot and entered stealth mode. While his decoy distracts the bot, he sneaked up behind it and shoot from behind with his corrosive shotgun. In a span of seconds, the loader bot shattered and fell dead.

Zero's focus went back to the remaining engineers who are now doubled up in numbers. The assassin smiled behind his mask and pulled out his sword, bracing himself for another fight.

"Let me ask again. Where is your scientist, Red? I'm certain she's here." Zero asked menacingly, pressing his right shoe deeper against the retching engineer beneath him.

Zero just finished off the other engineers he encountered in the plaza and left out one to interrogate himself. The Hyperion desperately punches through air as he suck in deep breath, while also attempting to tug Zero's lower leg that's one minute away from crushing his chest. Every time the man remains quiet, the vault hunter pinned his sole deeper, tormenting the man into giving out information.

"Sh-She's at the Residential Quarter! R-Red is s-staying there the whole time since s-she's arrived! Gah!" The engineer choked out, still desperately punching his way out of Zero's weight.

"See? It wasn't that hard, was it?" Zero stated as he stepped his foot out of the Hyperion man's chest before turning to walk on his way to the Residential Quarter.

The engineer rolled over to his side, coughing up blood while rubbing his chest as he watched the vault hunter go. He took in deep breaths like he's undergoing some asthma, tugging on his uniform with tears swelling in the corner of his eyes. Despite the slow torture that he went through, he still had the guts to take out and pull a pin from a Singularity Grenade.

"You're going to die with me, vault hunter!" The engineer yelled before he threw the explosive right in the middle of distance between them. The rapid gravity effect pulled the two of them together before a detonation occurred within a matter of seconds. The Hyperion's body exploded into pieces, painting the walls and bushes with crimson tint. Small mechanical devices and remaining body parts dispersed all together, adding another mess in the Opportunity vicinity.

Meanwhile, Zero reappeared in the corner after watching the man miserably die with the false thought that he successfully took down a vault hunter. He already went into Decepti0n mode right after the engineer spoke up, but he stayed behind just to witness what this dying man would do before he passes away. The assassin cannot help but wonder why do they always make pointless attempts in the verge of their death. He helped in taking down Jack and the Warrior for god's sake, what makes them think that they have the prowess to kill him.

Foolish men, Zero thought to himself before arising from his crouched pose and turning away to hunt Red, for real this time.

Zero encountered a couple more engineers and bots on his way to the Residential Quarter, in which he managed to get past through by killing them all. It seemed like the event that happened in Opportunity took out more than half of its workers. Aside from that, there weren't moonshot blitzes anymore and the digistruct poles are no longer functional. The city might not be fully deserted by its workers and some remaining loader bots, but the Hyperion evidently neglected the project already.

When Zero arrived at his destination, he double checked the area to assure that it is cleared of enemies. After he was certain of his observation, he scrutinized the doorway and entries inside the building facility. He was pretty certain that engineers have some kind of devices they use in order to open the doors, but the broken glasses of windows would definitely save him some trouble of going through corpses one by one.

Few moments later, a light source coming through empty gaps between shards of glasses that remained intact caught his eye. Zero immediately turned his eye from the origin of gleam, noticing that it's coming from a building few meters away from where he's currently standing. He climbed up the nearest post of an L-shaped structure until he made it to the ledge which is just wide enough to walk through. He treaded with careful steps, navigating his way to face the building block with an open window. The assassin didn't even notice the dusk emerging to fall until he observed the shadows getting long and prominent. Another obstacle on his way were blots of blood and metallic pieces that appears like small parts of shattered surveyors. With the chaos he caused to the remaining workers living in here, she probably had the slightest idea of his presence already.

Zero immediately halted when he found the perfect spot, gripping his rifle tighter. He peeked through his scope , trying to see if he could get anything out of it but he couldn't see any solid object which indicates that he needed to get higher. He had the hunch that the person inside, is probably Red herself.

Zero took wary steps, avoiding a couple of solid portions littered around the ledge until he arrived at in another rim he could climb up to. He mounted himself up in it and checked if this is a good section. Fortunately enough he didn't need to get higher. The broken window aperture was wide enough for him to witness the whole room without having the need to use his rifle, but still adequately far to get a clear view of the details.

The assassin brought up the scope in his eye. The first thing that caught his attention is an experiment table with chemical equipment resting above it. He guessed that this might be the lab that Moxxi was talking about. In a far corner he saw a bed, a dresser and a lamp beside it. There's even a sofa and common house furniture inside.

A few seconds later, he saw an interior door open from the inside. He kept his focus intact and saw an arriving woman wearing lab coat. Raven hair, cold eyes, familiar face... That's when he confirmed that it is indeed Red and in her hands is a purple box.

Red walked towards a table with her back turned at her stalker, completely blocking the assassin's view of the possible supply box. But he could see her hands moving around, was she unwrapping it? He couldn't tell for sure. This might not be a good spot in the first place after all, but he's here now and he couldn't lose sight of his target.

The next thing that she did was take off her lab coat and put it down on the table. Still, the box was out of his sight as if she was intentionally doing it. At the same time, she seemed unaware of her surroundings. Maybe she has something else in her mind, but for now Zero has to keep an eye on her movements. It'll be more dangerous to lose sight of her. He also made sure to clear the area for possible aggression of any person, bot or weapon. He even double checked the security cameras they destroyed the last time they visited Opportunity, still smashed into fragments. Besides, his senses are primal that the slightest sound in a far distance could reach his ears.

Red might have thought that this is the safest place for a Hyperion to stay in this planet, since there's no other creatures nor bandits around here. Maybe the ones left alive in here were the loyal Hyperions and the ones who are dead were the men who thought that resistance would work now that Jack is dead.

A few seconds later, the Hyperion scientist began tugging on her dress shirt. Zero kept an eyeful of her actions, until he realized what she's doing. She moved the box a little to her left side, but only the half of it is visible like she was teasing him to focus. Only this time, it was unbound. He tried to get a full view of its content but something else caught his attention.

Is she... removing her clothes? Her hands went down to her waistline, and proceeded to pull her shirt off from her upper body until it dropped on the floor. Zero got a full view of her spotless, curvy figure that isn't too skinny nor too fat. Haven't she noticed yet that a vault hunter is out here, ready to charge at her anytime that he wanted to? Haven't she heard the commotion from the outside, when engineers were screaming and loader bots shredding into pieces? She must be that ignorant of her surroundings, getting naked inside a building with window holes around it. Not to mention the fact that she got a sniper peeping her every move.

Zero is a man of his senses. The mere sight of a woman getting undressed isn't enough to topple him down of focus... Or so he thought. Red began to unhook her bra, slowly pulling it over her shoulders and letting it pool along with her dress shirt. A voice in his conscience kept convincing him that the purple box is there, and that is the priority of his mission.

Red rested both of her hands on either side of the table, top-naked. The only left clothing in Red's body is her ass-tight miniskirt and her heeled red shoes. Her head jerked to her right side as she pulled out some kind of black stick from her pocket. She put it between her middle and index finger, bringing it to her lips and took a deep inhale from it. A smoke formed on the other side of it, swirling into thin air. At this point, Zero was almost convinced that she has no idea of what's happening around her.

However, the next thing that she did have made Zero's breath hitched a little. She turned around and leaned against the table behind her, still huffing on her electronic cigarette with her bare, ample breast displaying visibly through the assassin's rifle scope. His heart almost stopped from the free show he was just given, internally conflicting if this is the right time to get off this ledge now and start doing something while she's still slackened. Her free hand roamed around her breast, squeezing it lightly from either side. What is she doing? He thought to himself, baffled by her state but at the same time he couldn't look away.

"Zero, are you there? It's almost nighttime, what happened?" Moxxi's voice suddenly came through the echo device, surprising the distracted assassin as he snapped back to reality.

"I saw the purple box... And Red." He responded, managing to keep his composure in his voice.

He's still watching her and tried to divert back his focus on the box, but then again Red had stole his attention once again. She lifted herself up above the table and sat on it, swiping everything else resting on the surface. Red kicked her other shoes off, hoisting her right leg on the table as she parted her thighs apart and causing her skirt to uplift to her hipline. Zero's eyes widened behind his helmet when her black, lace undies showed strikingly in his vision.

"Good, please keep an eye on it. I'm just checking on you real quick, I've got ten minutes breaktime. What's your current status?"

There was a long pause from Zero's line. What is he going to tell Moxxi, that he's perving to a woman through his scope? That wouldn't sound right and she might get the wrong idea. Additionally, he's even more preoccupied right now with this even more daring sight that he shouldn't be seeing in the first place. He didn't even notice the purple box falling aside from the table when she sat on it. Her right hand began to travel down her chest, stomach and to her private area. She began rubbing it slightly with her eyes closed and her mouth forming into a shape like she's moaning.

Zero's heart raced in his chest and his mouth had gone dry. He was starting to feel weird in his stomach. With small pants, his arms slightly trembles which causes his rifle to slightly lose balance. The sight from his scope is now shaking a little, the crosshair wobbling lightly from the sight.

"Hello?" Moxxi came through once again. "Zero, are you still with me?" He was awaken once again for the second time.

Curses! Zero thought to himself, cussing himself out for letting his carnal momentarily take over his mind. He pulled himself away from the scope and shook his head, closing his eyes for a moment to take a long, deep breath. Two more seconds, and he's back on his track once again.

"Yes. Apologies. The box is..." He was cut off when he peered through his scope once again, noticing that the box is now laying on the floor in its side. Only this time, it was ripped open and he could see clearly that it's empty.

"...Empty." Zero finished.

"What?" Moxxi exclaimed in a panicking tone of voice.

"It's strange. I don't see any test tube in my line of sight." He added. But why would she carry an empty box around? There's no way that she put it elsewhere he couldn't see right in that room. He's watching her right from the moment that Red had walked inside. Maybe there's a secret drawer below the table, or a small vault attached to the wall behind her.

Zero was about to move out of his position and take action because he's beginning to sense that something's not right. But before he could even get through his feet, he noticed that Red pulled out some kind of black remote behind her and began ticking on it without moving from her position. Her eyes immediately darted to his way, looking back straight through his scope like a hawk in the night. A smile crept up on her crimson lips before pushing one final button. Just as she did so, the dead silent night was disturbed by a rumble of explosion behind Zero.

All this time she knew that he was watching, and he couldn't believe that he fell for such lousy trap.

Zero swiftly jumped off the ledge he was kneeling on and landed on the ground. The detonation came from the other side of the building and next to the exact location that he was in before. He swung the sniper rifle on his back and sprinted on his feet away from the L-shaped facility.

"I'll get back on you later. Something's happening." Zero said through his echo.

Moxxi said something else from the other line but he couldn't understand a word anymore as some of the infrastructures were blasting one after another. He leaped through platforms and raced up and down stairs leading to different routes just to avoid being hit by huge fragments plunging down through the walkways. Zero immediately headed for the building where he saw Red. Even if she planted a bomb as well in that area, the short amount of time that Zero spent in running away from the explosions wouldn't be enough for her to escape.

The bombings have stopped and the assassin took that opportunity to circle around Red's building. There were a couple of broken glass windows in there as well that would be big enough for Zero to fit in to. He climbed up a nearby platform and was about to hoist himself up a ledge until something else caught his attention.

He heard footsteps approaching from the turning aisle. He quickly jumped back down and hid behind a bush concrete pot, just big enough to cover someone. He crouched down and watched sharply from its corner.

Up close, he saw his target. It was Red, fully dressed now and alarmingly rushing on her foot with a bag in her hand. She kept checking over her shoulder like she's running away from something. Surely enough she's making sure that Zero's dead from the explosions. Unfortunately for her, it wasn't enough to kill the assassin. She stopped in front of a metal sliding door, momentarily gasping for air and wiping the sweat off her forehead with the sleeve of her shirt. Maybe Red thought that she could get away from this, little did she know that the vault hunter is just a few meters away from charging at her.

After she regained her air, she pulled out a card from her pocket and tapped it beside the sliding door. The scanner did its work for a few seconds before it opened. Zero lifted up his head little to get a better view of the inside. And there he saw a chemical lab. Glass tubes placed right in the middle table caught his eye. It contains substance that glows brightly through the dimly lit room. It's pink in color and rather sparkly just like how Moxxi described it. That must be it, he thought to himself. That would also explain why the box was empty the whole time. At least for now, he's certain this is what he's looking for.

Red walked inside, unzipped the bag that she was carrying and seemingly looking for something inside. Zero took this as the perfect opportunity to launch a surprise attack. He went stealth mode and dashed on his foot to the stairs leading towards the door while invisible. Once he was inside, he grabbed and yanked Red by the collar from behind, pinning her against the wall. The scientist yelped in shock and groaned in pain as her back hit against the concrete wall. The assassin's original body came back visibly. He grabbed Red tightly by her right arm, restraining her from moving while the edge of his sword was placed just beneath her throat.

"You can't hide from me. My gaze is always on you. Your soft spots are mine." Zero whispered in an ominous voice.

This is just his way to incite fear on her, he wasn't really planning to kill Red here right now since Moxxi asked him not to. Fear began to show on her gray eyes, her mouth half open and quivering in terror. She wasn't the same when Zero was watching her through the building. He smirked behind his visor, loving the dread he's caused to the Hyperion scientist. But something that he wouldn't admit to himself, is that this overweening attitude he's currently displaying is an act of repression from his nearing loss earlier.

"Not so tough now, huh?" The assassin cockily stated, inching his sword closer on her throat.

"I-I'm not what you're looking for." Red stammered through her trembling voice.

The assassin tilted his head, a question mark exhibiting from his faceplate screen.

"Ugh, damn it Reena. That was too early for you to say that." A sultry voice came from the outside.

Zero turned his head on the doorway and saw a figure in front of the entrance. A curvy woman wearing Hyperion uniform stood with her left hand resting on her hip and the other one holding the same remote control that he saw earlier.

It was Red. Again.

"What...?" Zero muttered, confused of the situation.

"Too bad, now both of you needs to take a nap." Red smirked, pressing another button from the control.

Zero attempted to dash forward but the door slid shut faster than it normally does. A thick, reeking smoke began to come out and spread from each corner of the room. The lab was small enough for the fume to cover the whole place, instantly taking an effect both on Zero and the fake Red. Reena fell down on her back, coughing and trying to cover her nose with her sleeve.

The assassin on the other hand, attempted to slice through the concrete door but the smoke was quick to infect. His arms swayed clumsily on the other side and he could feel his body beginning to lose strength. He lost his grip from his melee weapon and it fell on the floor with a clanging sound. Soon enough his faint body followed as his eyes slowly drifted into oblivion.
