On the Jet Hotch filled them in on what he knew had happened. Everyone seemed concerned and annoyed with the young agent, but Hotch could tell Reid was more upset than anything. He didn't know details, but he knew the two young agents had gotten close and he clearly hadn't been told anything either.
Hotch was annoyed with his agent as well. He knew she was lying when she asked for the time off, but he didn't think it had anything to do with her hometown. She knew that he would help her with this. The whole team would so why she went behind his back. Why did she lie. It didn't make sense.
When they landed, they all went to the police station and knowing what he knew already about her past he went straight to the chief saying that he wanted to see his agent and that they needed to see every child from the foster home. That he knew what was happening, what the police were doing about it and that it was coming to an end now. He told Morgan Rossi Prentiss and JJ to go with the officer to the foster home. He told Reid to come with him to talk to Lorelai.
The four went to the foster home with an officer and the chief took the other two agents to the back where Lorelai was.
The two agents when in to see the young agent sitting on the floor of the room head in her hands.
Reid wanted nothing to more than to go over to her and hug her but the look on Hotch's face told him it was best not to.
"Agent Davies. Are you hurt?" He asked her
Lorelai shook her head. "Not physically. The chief was rougher than needed but I'm fine" she said softly.
"What the hell were you thinking?" He asked in a stern but calm voice. Lorelai didn't look up she was not ready to see the look of disappointment that was on his face.
"I-I don't have a good explanation Sir." She told him tears steaming down her face. In the six months with the team. With all the cases she had seen, everything that was coming back from her past, she had never let a tear fall in front of anyone. But now being back in this police station with not even knowing where her friend is now. "Other than my friend needed help…and I didn't know what else to do." She said.
"Why? Didn't you tell me what was happening. Why didn't you let me protect you from this happening? From ending up in a back office of the police station that you told me you wanted nothing to do with." He said his voice getting lower and angrier.
Lorelai shrugged. "I don't know Sir."
"Reid, you know what we need to know from her. Take her out of here to the conference room where we are getting set up. I will talk with her later." He told him before he left the room.
As soon as the door was closed and Hotch was gone Reid went and wrapped her in a hug lifting her from the ground. "Its going to be okay." He told her softly.
Lorelai wrapped her arms around him and sobbed into his shoulder. Her entire world was coming down around her. The people who she were closest to, she had lied to, gone behind their back. She didn't know what was coming but she knew it wasn't good.
"We need to talk. I need to know everything. I know its hard for you to talk about, but I need to know it all." He told her. He lifted her chin and gently wiped away the tears "I'm not happy about the way you did this. However other things are more important right now. Like saving those other kids." He said. "You ready to go talk?"
Lorelai nodded taking a breathe as he led her out of the room they were in. She was led to the conference room where they could sit more comfortably. It was just the two of them as everyone else was out. Lorelai told him everything. About all the abuse. The neglect the fact that some kids disappeared after running and after reporting what happened. About the fact that they all suspected they had been murdered. Everything she could remember, and Reid just listened. He took notes to share with the rest of the team so she wouldn't have to repeat everything.
"You were pregnant when you left. Was that from consensual sex? Or what that from a rape?" He asked her.
Lorelai shook her head. "No. It was consensual. A local guy same age as me. I have never been raped." She told him.
Eventually the story finished. Lorelai was beat, she was having a hard time keeping her eyes opened. Reid took a breathe. "I think its time for you to head to the hotel. You need sleep." He handed her a key. "Its for your room. Its in the next town over. Take a cab. Hotch would have me tell you sleep, eat. Do not leave that hotel unless one of us tells you to. Got it?" He relayed the information and than waited for an answer.
Lorelai nodded and went and took a cab to the hotel. She took a shower and than crashed on the bed. She tossed back and forth for hours before pure exhaustion took over and she feel asleep.
Meanwhile at the foster home, Prentiss, Morgan, JJ & Rossi were interviewing the girls. Most of them were too scared to tell them anything. There was only two girls who would admit what was happening and the foster mother Jessica couldn't be found anywhere. When the police had attempted to bring Rebecca back to her, she wasn't home and hadn't been home since. The local police were out looking for her which is all Hotch wanted them doing. He didn't want them anywhere near this foster home intimidating the girls from telling the truth and wanted as few at the station as possible to not interfere with Lorelai or try to steer the investigation away from the truth.
After doing what he needed to at the station Hotch went and joined the police in searching for the Jessica.
Once all the kids had been talked too. Morgan thought it would be a good idea to get them all fully checkout at the hospital, so they arranged for that to happen. Prentis and JJ would go with the girls to the hospital the next town over, a few at a time and Rossi and Morgan would stay back with the other girls at the foster home and make sure they packed up their stuff so that they could figure out where they could go. It was going to be a process to get all these girls into new foster placements. Lorelai didn't exaggerate the amount of kids that this house was housing.
Prentiss and JJ left with four of the girls and headed towards the hospital.
Meanwhile Hotch and the officers found Jessica and she was no longer going to be able to hurt any more children. She had been murdered.
