Hotch knew at this point they needed as much help as they could get meaning he would have to get Lorelai out to help at the foster home so Morgan and Rossi could come help at the crime scene. He called her. He knew that she had been sent to the hotel a few hours ago by Reid to get some rest.

Lorelai woke up slowly as her phone rang. She turned over and answered it. "Davies" she said. Its how she always answered her phone now.

"Its Hotch. Jessica was murdered I need you at the foster home to sit with the kids." He told her.

"Wait, What?! She was murdered?"

"Yes. Get going." He told her.

Lorelai jumped out of bed. "I will be there shortly." She told him. She changed back into more appropriate attire for work and headed out. She quickly grabbed some food from the little convenience store in the hotel before grabbing a cab and heading to the foster home.

Morgan saw Lorelai pull up. He had been told she was on her way, so he went out to meet her. "Hey. Are you okay?" He asked her.

Lorelai nodded. "Yeah. I'm fine." She said.

Morgan looked at her. "Hotch wanted me to ask you in person. Do you have any idea what happened to her?"

Lorelai shook her head. "No. I really don't." She told him honestly.

Morgan nodded. "Do not tell the kids. They don't know yet and Hotch wants it that way."

Lorelai nodded "I can do that." She told Morgan. She went inside and got tackled with hugs from the kids who remembered her. Lorelai hugged them all and said she was there to sit with them while the other agents went to do some other work.

Morgan and Rossi went off to the crime scene to meet with Hotch.

Lorelai set up the TV to play a movie which excited the kids since they were pretty much never allowed to watch any TV. Lorelai decided that they deserved a distraction while the others were busy at work. Lorelai sat in the kitchen at the home watching the kids through a half-wall between the two rooms. She was trying to keep up to date with what was going on with the case.. Rebecca came to join her after about half-way through the movie.

"Hey, I'm sorry if I got you in trouble." Rebecca told her.

Lorelai shook her head. "You didn't. I'm glad you called me. To be honest I was waiting for an opportunity for this to become an FBI case. My team all knew some of what was going on here and my boss has been looking for a way in too. The FBI is very beneficial but unless a crime crosses state lines or someone requests their help from the local law enforcement the FBI cant do anything. And I knew the police here would never do that. Its why you needed to run across state lines. A runaway is technically illegal so I knew it would bring my team in." She told her. "If anyone got me in trouble its me. I could have told my boss from the beginning why I really needed the time off. He would have jumped up and helped immediately." She added.

"Why didn't you than?" Asked Rebecca.

"Honestly. I don't know. I think I am still to use to not being able to depend on 'adults' I mean yes I am technically an adult but still doesn't feel like it sometimes." She told her.

Rebecca nodded. "I can get that… So, what's the real reason you are here instead of the two other agents?" She asked.

Lorelai looked at her. "What do you mean?"

"I saw the one. Agent Rossi I think is his name. He got a call his face showed something was wrong. The others didn't see it, but I did." Rebecca told her.

"Our boss just needed more help, and I am not allowed to be part of the real investigation, so they figured it was best for me to be here to keep an eye on things." She told her.

Rebecca shook her head. "Fine. Don't tell me."

"There is nothing to tell you." Lorelai insisted.

"I know. The truth." She told her quietly.

Lorelai tilted her head and raises an eyebrow. "The truth?"

"About why the were called out of here." Rebecca added.

"Oh? And what is that?" She asked her younger friend.

"Doesn't matter." She said.

"Yes. It does Rebecca." Lorelai told her firmly.

"Why? I thought you said there was nothing." Rebecca said getting defensive.

Lorelai took a breathe. 'Your right. There is nothing." She didn't want to cause a fight. "What have you decided to do after highschool?" She asked her, trying to change the subject as quickly as possible

Rebecca calmed down a bit. "I'm not sure yet. I might not be able to graduate when I should. I've been struggling." She admitted. "Your lucky that school came so easy to you."

Lorelai nodded. "Yes. I am grateful. Its because of it that I have been able to be successful. Maybe now you can get some extra help wherever you end up." She told her.

"Yeah, like I'm ever getting out of here. Only two of us told the truth everyone else is still so scared. They will just get someone else to take it over." Rebecca told her

"If its true that they wont be closing this place down, why wouldn't Jessica continue with running it?" Lorelai had a sinking feeling that Rebecca knew what happened to her, so she was trying to catch her off guard.

"Well, I mean... I uh. I dunno." Rebecca said getting nervous. Truth was she knew exactly what happened. She was there when it happened. She didn't actually murder her, but she was there.

Lorelai let out a breathe. She really wanted to ask her straight up but didn't want to bring it up and chance someone else over hearing. She was told not to say anything, and she didn't need to add to the trouble she was in. "Okay. Well, why don't we go finish the movie." She got up and went to the living room.

She texted Hotch 'I think I know someone who knows something of what happened to Jessica.' She knew that Rebecca would be treated fair. If she was just protecting herself. She also knew she had a job to do. And a team that was depending on her and right now she owed them the truth.

Hotch read the text 'Who? What makes you think that?" he replied

'Rebecca Lewis. She's my friend who called me. She was questioning why the other two left and why I was here. I told her they were just needed for other things, and she was saying things that makes me think she knows. I didn't want to push it and cause an argument or for the others to know what had happened, so I dropped it. but I think she knows something.' She replied

Hotch read it, 'thanks for the information'

'I know it was the right thing to do but it wasn't easy for me to tell you this.' She added before putting her phone away and finishing the movie

Hotch read the last text. He was happy she had told him the truth and he knew she felt very loyal to those girls so he knew it couldn't have been easy for her to do. It showed him that she was also becoming loyal to this team, and he knew he needed to do his best to make it so she could continue to be loyal to both groups of her people.

During the movie JJ & Prentiss came and went with each of the girls four at a time to get them checked out. Eventually everyone had gone and returned from the hospital. It took all night but for the most part everyone was going to be fine physically. Some needed medication and all would need therapy but at this point the entire team minus Lorelai was back at the police station. Prentiss and JJ had taken Rebecca to the station when the left and Lorelai could see the look of betrayal in her eyes which broke her heart, but she took a deep breathe and got to work making sure all the kids were fed and clean and in fresh clothing.

After all that was done, she made them all take naps or just chill in their rooms since it had been a long day, and most hadn't slept at all. Lorelai flopped on the couch after cleaning the kitchen. She had left and still upon return she was designated to take care of the kids and the house. Obviously, it was different this time she didn't fear being abused for not doing it but still felt a lot a triggering things in the last few hours.

She texted Reid. 'Do I get to know anything? Or am I being kept in the dark?'

Reid read the text and took a breath. 'All I can tell you is Rebecca isn't saying anything other than she wants a lawyer. We are getting her one and a child advocate also.'

Lorelai texted Hotch. 'She might talk to me.'

Hotch read it. 'No.' truth be told Rebecca was really angry at Lorelai and if he let them in a room together. He was worried someone would end up injured.

Lorelai was annoyed. 'Come on Hotch. The sooner she talks the sooner we can solve this.'

Hotch read the text and shook his head. 'I will not say it again. The answer is no. Prentiss and Reid will be coming to talk to the kids soon. We are getting them new social workers and they will need your help too.'

Lorelai slammed her phone shut and put it in her pocket. She took a deep breathe and went to the kitchen. She was frustrated why couldn't she be beneficial at the station.

She texted Reid, 'who is interrogating her?'

Reid read the text and shook his head. She was really pushing her luck. Hotch had warned him not to tell her anymore about Rebecca. He knew she was coming to him because she thought he would be easiest to break but Hotch's instructions had been clear. So, he put the phone away without responding.

Lorelai as getting more pissed. She knew he read his texts pretty quickly, so she knew he just wasn't responding. She figured Hotch got to him too. She put the phone back in her pocket and started to pace again. The kids slowly started to come out of their rooms two hours later. She told them they had to be in there for at least that long. Once everyone had come out and settled.

"A couple of my friends. The other agents who were hear earlier will be coming back to talk to you all. They are working on getting you all new social workers and I'm sure they will find you all good homes to be in." She told them

One of the girls raised their hand. Lorelai smiled. "Ask your questions I will do my best to answer."

"What is going to happen to Miss Jessica?" one asked.

Lorelai nodded, "When the other agents gets here, they can answer that."

"Are we all going to be together?" Another asked

Lorelai shook her head. "No. This many children in one home is not allowed. Some of you may end up together but not all of you." She was honest.

They all took it in. Soon after the other two showed up with seven social workers from out of the town and some from out of state.

Prentiss looked at all the kids. "We have a few things to tell you than these social workers, who I promise are nice, will be taking you girls to other foster homes."

The girls all looked at Emily very intently. "To start with none of you are in trouble. We know what has been happening to you. Some of you remember Lorelai and she has told us everything. We understand you were all scared, but you don't have to be anymore. Miss Jessica, can not hurt you anymore." She told them.

"Miss Jessica was found by the police found her and she had been killed." Reid told them

The kids all looked at each other.

"We know who did it." Reid continued, "But if any of you know something you can talk to us, and we can make sure it is made known."

Lorelai was surprised. She didn't know they knew. Had Rebecca opened up or was there evidence?

"Does anyone have any questions?" Emily asked the kids.

They all shook their head and the social workers started calling out kids, names who were going with each of them.

Lorelai went to Reid. "Did she confess? Was there evidence? Was it her?" She started asking questions.

Reid took her by the elbow and led her a bit further away from the group. "Do you know your pushing your luck?" He asked her with a raised eyebrow

Lorelai bit her lip. "Come on Spence. I have to know."

"No. I have been told to tell you nothing. Hotch will tell you what you need to know." He told her. "You are in enough trouble as it is. Drop it." He continued.

Lorelai scowled but stopped asking.

"Once the kids are all taken by their social workers, we need to shut this place down and head back to the station. Hotch wants you back at the hotel." He told her.

"Oh, come on!" She said

"Just relaying information. Not my orders." He told the frustrated agent

"Why am I being treated like this? I get it I cant be involved in most of it but really? The hotel? Not being told anything?" She said

Reid let out a breath. "Lorelai. You lied to Hotch. You didn't tell me -anything. You technically took a runaway across state line. You did this without asking for our help and only when you ended up arrested and back in your hometown police station did you call Hotch to dig you out of trouble. You could have asked Hotch for help. You could have asked me or anyone on this team. You didn't. You could have done this in a completely different way and Hotch wouldn't be so angry and would maybe let you be more involved. You screwed up. You need to deal with the consequences." He told her quietly so others wouldn't hear.

Lorelai shut up she knew he was right. Didn't make things easier but she knew he was right. She nodded.

Prentiss came and found them. "Everyone is gone."

Lorelai smiled a bit. "You sure they are all going to be safe?"

Prentiss nodded. "Hotch and I both made sure they were good social workers. They know what happened here they will make sure they get the help them need and end up in the right homes. I promise."

Lorelai nodded. "Thank you." She handed her the key to the place. "I guess I need to be back at the hotel." She said as she started to walk out.

"We can drive you." Reid told her as they headed out as well locking up the house and putting police tape to keep people out before taking Lorelai back to the hotel and heading back to the station.
