The next couple weeks went by without any hitches. No big cases came to their team. But the lawyer had gotten them a court case for her adoption finalization and the Aaron had gotten the house as well, so they spent a lot of their free time moving.

The whole team helped of course. While they were moving Rachel decided to be a typically little sister and peaked into Lorelai's sketchbook. She was looking through it when Lorelai walked into the room.

"Hey!" Lorelai said loudly causing Rachel to drop the book. "What are you doing?" Lorelai asked angrily. "You know that's private!" She said

Morgan had heard the voices everyone else was outside, so he went to the room. "Something wrong?" He asked

Lorelai looked angry "She was looking through my sketchbook. That's not something I share. With anybody." She said trying to stay calm.

Morgan looked at Rachel. "Go. Help they outside. I will be telling Aaron about this." He informed the younger girl. Rachel went quickly before he picked up the book and handing it to Lorelai.

"I know your angry. And you have every right to be so why don't you take a minute to calm down." He offered her.

Lorelai shook her head. "No. I am choosing to stay annoyed."

Morgan shook his head and smirked. "Is that going to help the situation?" He asked

Lorelai let out a breathe. "No." She admitted. "That is just so unbelievable uncalled for. Biggest invasion of my privacy." She said

Morgan nodded. "It was. And it was wrong. Your dad will handle it, I'm sure."

Lorelai nodded. "I'm calmer now. Its okay."

Morgan smiled and left her alone to go help the others. Lorelai came out a few minute later with the last box and her backpack on her back. "This is the last box." She said

Hotch smiled. "Good. You girls ready for your next step?"

Lorelai nodded. "Yes."

Rachel nodded too looking a bit scared. Aaron noticed and took her aside.

"Something wrong Rachel?" He asked

Rachel nodded. "I screwed up."

Aaron tiled his head. "How?"

"I- "She started

Lorelai saw the fear in her eyes and wanted to go over and save her but was stopped by Morgan. "She will be fine. You know that. Its better if it comes from her. You know that. Let it happen." He told her

Aaron crossed his arms. "Better to just tell me now. I will find out either way."

Rachel looked down. "I looked through Lorelai's sketchbook… Without her permission"

Aaron nodded. "Did she catch you?" He asked

"Yes…She got annoyed." She told her foster father

Hotch looked over at Lorelai and motioned for her to come to them. Lorelai did.

"Rachel. What you did was wrong. Lorelai keeps those private and she has every right to. You need to respect that." Aaron told her. "Do you have something to say?" He asked her

Rachel nodded and looked at Lorelai. "I'm sorry. I shouldn't have done that. I wont do it again."

Lorelai nodded. "Why did you though? You always have respect it before."

Rachel looked down. "I remember. Along time ago. You showed me one of your drawing when I was upset at the old foster home. It was of the two of us and we had a family. I just wondered if you still had it."

Lorelai made a face not sure at first what she meant but Rachel had triggered her memory, so she did start to remember. "I do still have it. But not in that sketchbook. I have had a few since than. I will dig it out when we get settled and you can see it. All you had to do is ask. I would have shown you that one." She told her.

Rachel nodded. "Sorry." Lorelai nodded. "Its forgiven." The girls hugged before they all piled into cars and drove to their new home to start unpacking and setting in.

That evening when they had unpacked a large portion of the boxes and set up most of the furniture, then ordered pizza and while they were waiting Lorelai found her old sketchbooks and found the drawing Rachel had helped her remember and she was stunned. She had remembered the sketch but not must detail about it. In this sketch was her and Rachel with little brother and a man who was supposed to be the father in this imaginary family she had drawn to help the little girl feel better. It was an exact depiction of the family they had now. She couldn't believe it.

She carefully removed it from the sketchbook and brought it out. "Rachel. This is the picture." She said handing it to her. Rachel looked at it than looked at Lorelai. "You didn't change it at all right?" She asked looking a little shocked herself.

Lorelai shook her head. "That is the drawing I drew. 8 years ago. Nothing was changed"

JJ came over "Can I see?"

Lorelai nodded.

Slowly the whole team came over and were all stunned. "Lorelai. You drew this eight years ago?" Aaron asked. Lorelai nodded. "You are very talented." He told her.

Lorelai smiled. "Thanks."

"This was eight years ago Hotch. She's probably much more talented now." JJ told him

Rachel nodded. "She is."

Lorelai looked at her.

"Oh. Sorry. I mean you are…" Rachel said

Lorelai shook her head and smiled

Aaron handed the paper back to Lorelai. Who smiled and handed it to Rachel. "Its yours now." She said

Rachel smiled. "Thank you."

The pizza arrived shortly after and they all ate, and more and more Lorelai was realizing. Some how she knew. She knew where she would end up. How did she know? Had she seen a single father with his son and imagined living with them?

She was nudged by Spencer. "Are you okay?" He asked quietly.

Lorelai nodded and smiled. "Just thinking."

"That was a pretty accurate drawing," he told her.

Lorelai nodded. "I'm just as surprised. I cant explain it."

"The man even looked a little like Aaron" Spencer said

"I noticed that yes. Its really confusing." She said

"Maybe you saw Hotch on TV during a press conference?" He offered

Lorelai shook her head. "I never watched the news when I was 12…10… However, I old I would have been at that time." The difference in age was still confusing her at times

Spencer nodded. "Well doesn't matter. All that matters is you had a dream family. And you found it. And in one week it will be official." He said

Lorelai nodded. "Or the other shoe will drop." She said quietly

Spencer looked at her. "The other shoe?" He asked

"Something always happens." She said

"Not this time Lorelai. That drawing proves. This was meant to be. Lorelai. Your forever family." He told her.

Lorelai smiled. "A drawing is just what I wanted. Doesn't meant its what I get to have." She said

Spencer looked at her. "Lorelai. Does Aaron know about these doubts?"

Lorelai shook her head. "And you wont tell him."

Spencer shook his head. "Lorelai. He needs to know these things. He can help you."

"No. And this is not something you are required to tell him. So don't." She told him firmly

Spencer didn't like it, but she was right. This was something she would need to go to him with herself. "I wont tell him. But you should. You are going to make yourself sick worrying about some other shoe to drop. He will go to the end of the world to give you your family. Even if something happens next week, he wont stop till he is legally your dad." He told her. "Lorelai. In the time I have known Aaron seeing him smile was a rare occurrence. Now. He smiles all the time. He has changed your world. But you have changed his too. Trust me. He would be just as devastated if it didn't happen so he will make sure it does." Spencer finished what he was saying.

Lorelai nodded she didn't entirely believe him. But she didn't argue.

Slowly everyone started to leave. Spencer was the last to leave. Lorelai was seeing him out.

Spencer looked at her. "I don't want you to worry. I really think you should tell your dad how your feeling. But I will tell you even if for some unforeseen reason this adoption doesn't work. You have me. I know we have to wait. But I will wait for you. The moment I saw you. I knew you were something special. You are very smart, talented, beautiful, stubborn and the person I can see a future with. You will always have me." He said

Lorelai wiped at her eyes and nodded. They hugged before he left. Lorelai took a breathe and turned around to see Aaron in the living room watching them.

"Does not being with him make you sad?" He asked her

Lorelai smiled a bit. "I can wait till I'm eighteen." She said

Aaron nodded. "What does he mean if the adoption doesn't happen?"

Lorelai looked down. 'shit' she thought.

Aaron took a breathe. "Is there something I don't know that can infer with the adoption?"

Lorelai shook her head. "No. That's not it."

"What is it than?" He asked

"I- I'm scared." She admitted

Aaron pointed to a chair and told her to come sit.

Lorelai went over and sat.

"Scared of what?" He asked

"That the other shoe will drop, and the adoption wont happen." She admitted

"Lorelai. This adoption will happen. Even if we have to wait until you're eighteen and the courts cant stop it. But as far as I am concerned a piece of paper doesn't change anything you are my daughter just as much as Jack is my son." He said

Lorelai looked up at him tears in her eyes. "But."

"No buts." He said. "I do need to ask you a question though."

Lorelai nodded.

"At court they will ask you if you want to change your name. First and last. I assume you don't want to change your first name but your last? Only if you want to. But you can take my last name." He said

Lorelai hadn't thought about it before, but he was right. "I don't know. I mean I have no real connection to my last name. I just don't know how it would be for work. People who notice if I'm no longer Agent Davies and that I am Agent Hotchner. I mean that's you." She pointed out

Aaron smiled. "You could have two last names hyphenate it. At work be Agent Davies?" he suggested "Or you can just ignore what other think." He said

Lorelai nodded. "Wouldn't it be confusing?"

Aaron shrugged. "We could make it work. If that's what you wanted." He said. "But no matter what the choice is yours."

Lorelai smirked. "I thought you said no buts"

Aaron shook his head and smirked. "Go get ready for bed." He told her

Lorelai laughed and went to shower and get ready for bed. She unpacked a few more boxes before she climbed into bed, she certainly had a lot of thinking to do and it kept her awake for a few hours before pure exhaustion caused her to pass out.
