A couple days later the team was all at work. JJ came into the room from Hotch's office. "Agent Hotchner wants everyone to grab their bags and head to the Jet. We have a case. You will be briefed on the jet we have to go right away." she told them

The team all grabbed what they needed and headed to the jet. Hotch was not far behind. Once they were all on the plane. JJ started. "We have a pretty bad case in Minnesota. Three children, girls, have been kidnapped, raped, tortured, and murdered. A fourth one was kidnapped last night. If the killer follows his pattern we have less than 48 hours till she is murdered."

"Why did it take so long for use to be called in?" Rossi asked

"First body was only found three days ago the other two were found a couple days ago. They didn't get a connection because they were left in two different jurisdictions." JJ told him

"Could there be more victims in other areas?" Prentiss asked

Hotch nodded. "Already have Garcia looking into that."

The team discussed the victims and their unsub. By the time they landed they already had a profile. The team was disbursed out to talk to the victim's families and to go to the crime scene. Lorelai was sent to the station to talk to the chief and give the profile to the local law enforcements. They had a lot to get done in such a sort time that she was going to be giving the profile on her own for the first time.

When she got there, she spoke to the Chief and after assuring and convincing him she was in fact an FBI agent the chief called the entire station for her to discuss the profile with them and told them what the next steps should be. It definitely felt odd that she was on her own and she was a bit nervous, but she felt when she was done it had gone well. And she liked that she had been trusted enough to do that on her own. The officers all went off to join up with the rest of the FBI team to assist. Lorelai was shown where she could set up a room for her team and she did just that as she called the rest of the team to let them know what was going on from her end.

After talking to the four families, they found the connection between the children. They all went to the same park to play often. They were all between the ages of nine and eleven. They had all been taken from their rooms at night while their families slept. Two of the families had an alarm that had been disarmed before the unsub came into the homes. The systems were from the same company.

Garcia started looking into the company that it came from and the people who installed the systems but found they were different people one of whom was a women and their unsub was most definitely a man. They looked into the man, but he couldn't have done it as he was out of the state during two of the kidnappings. Morgan asked Garcia to look into all the employees. Which she said she would be it would take some time.

After several hours and all leads had paned out everyone was at the police station looking over the information that they had trying to see if they could find anything that might have been missed. They all knew they were running out of time to find the little girl, Melissa alive. Whomever was doing this wasn't new to this. They looked into previous cases of kidnapping. Previous child predators who weren't in prison. They looked into any previous kidnappings from all over the United States that could fit the MO. But there were so many previous kidnappings that would fit the MO it was pretty useless.

Garcia had done a background check on everyone who worked at the security company but couldn't find anyone who made sense.

While they were on the phone with her Reid had an idea. "Garcia. You have looked into all the employees, but did you look into the owner of the company?"

"I'm doing that right now." She said as the team could hear typing. "Owner is, Frank Ulterage. 31. He took the business over when his father passed away. Six months ago. He has a sealed juvenile record." She said

"Unseal it." Hotch told her

Garcia pushed a few buttons. "Oh. This guy was arrested for various break and entries, underage drinking and a public indecency charge in which he urinated into a fountain…with three young children right next to him with their parents…" She told them. "He was ordered to get therapy and community service and as an adult he has no record." She told them. "When he has been arrested in the past he has gotten violent and wouldn't let police into his home without a fight."

"That's got to be our guy." JJ said as the team all got up to go find him. Lorelai stayed seated as she figured she wasn't going with them but Hotch told her to come along. She would be the perfect person to knock on his door and not cause an alarm because of her age. She could get him to the door so the rest of the team could go in the back and find the girl.

Lorelai was happy to help and went with them. When they got to the house Lorelai already had her vest on under her coat and she was told to knock and keep him distracted as long as possible. She was going to pretend to be lost and ask for directions.

Lorelai took a breathe and went and knocked on the door. Their suspect answered the door. "What?" He asked.

"Sorry to bother you Sir. I am looking for main avenue and some how ended up here. Can you tell me where to go?" She asked

The man looked at her and nodded. He started to give her directions. The team was already set up and entered the back of the house. They did have a warrant so this wasn't a problem but if they could get in before he knew what was happening it would be better.

Lorelai was still talking to him when they was a loud bang. Frank looked back towards it before he realized what was happening. He grabbed Lorelai. "Who the hell are you?!" He asked her as he pulled her into the house.

"I-I'm just someone looking for directions." She said. "What was that noise?" She asked trying to make it seem like she was unaware what was happening.

"Bullshit. You're with the police aren't you!" He said

"What? No. I'm just sixteen years old!" She said. Her age was a benefit at this point.

Frank started to drag her towards the noise. "I have your friend here!" He screamed. "You want her alive you better leave!" He screamed

Lorelai took the opportunity of his distraction to use some self defence she had learned and managed to get away from him and bring him down to the ground. "I've got him!" Lorelai called out as the team came running in. Morgan grabbed him from Lorelai and arrested him. Morgan told Lorelai to head back outside to the vehicles.

"Why? We got the guy the threat is gone." She said

The look from Morgan told her to stop asking questions. She went outside she walked around the back and saw what looked like a storm shelter. She went to open it, but it was locked shut. Lorelai called Hotch and told him about it.

"You were told to go back to the vehicle Agent Davies." He said

Lorelai sighed. "What the big deal?"

"Car. Now!" He said

Lorelai sighed and hung up she went back to the car and waited. She was pissed.

About twenty minutes later. Reid came out carrying Melissa wrapped up in his coat. He brought her over to the ambulance that had just pulled up. Lorelai stayed put till Reid called her over. "Hotch wants you to go to the hospital with her so she doesn't have to be alone. And we can all stay here." He said

Lorelai climbed into the back with Melissa. "Hi. I'm Lorelai. You're safe now. He cant hurt you anymore." She said softly taking her hand.

Reid went back inside. Lorelai and Melissa went to the hospital with the paramedics.

She was taken into x-ray when they got to the hospital and Lorelai was told she needed to wait in the waiting room.

"Over my dead body. This girl has been through hell. I was order by my boss to stay with her. I am staying with her. She will know I am there." Lorelai said

The nurses agreed but told her to stay out of the way. Lorelai stayed with her holding her hand when she could and stepping out of the way when she needed too but making sure Melissa knew she was there the whole time.

After hours of testing and examinations Melissa was in a room with an IV and asleep from the medications they gave her. Lorelai was in the room sitting with her when her parents came in.

Lorelai stood up. They both went over to their daughter and gave themselves piece of mind that she was okay.

"She is going to be okay." Lorelai told them

The father looked over at her and saw the FBI vest and nodded. "Thank you for sitting with her. Agent Hotchner told us she was in good hands with you and the doctors."

Lorelai nodded. "Of course. I'm not sure what Agent Hotchner told you, but we got the man responsible as well."

The parents both nodded. "Yes. He did inform us but thank you."

"She is asleep from the medications she has been given. I'm sure doctors can fill you in on everything else. I will let you two be with your daughter. I am outside the room if you need -anything." She said before she left the room and sat outside. She wanted to give them the space. She called Hotch and let him know her parents were there and that she was sitting outside the room to ensure no one who shouldn't enter was able to get in. Hotch thanked her and told her it was a good idea to stay put.

After she was there for a bit she started to feel like she was being watched. A similar feeling that she had on Halloween. She looked around but everyone was focused on their jobs. No one was looking at her. She decided she was just tired and was being paranoid, so she just shrugged it off. Before long two officers came to take over for her so she could head back to the station. She let the parents know she was going but that these two officers would be there for their protection.

Lorelai texted Hotch who told her that they were all done for the night to head to the hotel and get some sleep. Lorelai did as instructed and went to the hotel and showered before crashing for a few hours.
