She met Hannah. It was hard to hate her. She didn't really have a reason to but Angela seemed to dislike her a bit.

Booth seemed happier. Hannah moved in with him and it was like a whole new Booth. He even treated the interns better and let Hodgins speak 'squinty'.

Brennan's lunches had changed also. She found herself eating alone in her office or the diner. She ate her meals alone before meeting Booth but she had gotten used to having his company along with her food.

Sometimes she ate with Angela but there were days she ate with Hodgins. They invited her along but she didn't want to intrude.

Brennan sat on one of the tables in the diner. It was not one of her usual tables because they were occupied. She looked up from her plate to see Booth and Hannah walking in and sitting on one of the vacated tables.

With her meal finished, she left some bills to cover the check and stood to gather her things. She prepared herself for when she walked by their table.

"Hey, Bones!" He reached out to grab her elbow. She turned and gave him a tight-lipped smile. Not mad or annoyed or anything. She just didn't know how to react.

"Hello Booth, Hannah." The blond woman smiled brightly at her.

"Wanna eat with us? We haven't ordered yet."

Brennan obviously declined and shared one of her reasons with him. "I just finished eating. I was heading out to the lab actually." 'And I don't feel like sitting with you and the woman who's recipient of your love' She thought, that was the second reason she didn't say out loud.

"Oh, that's fine then." Booth didn't break eye contact with her for a few long seconds. He smiled while he 'got lost in the sea of her blue eyes.'

"I got to go." Brennan pointed to the door. "We'll catch up about the case later." Booth nodded. "It was nice seeing you, Hannah." She bent down and gave her a quick hug.

How did she really feel about Hannah?
