It had been about a month since the incident at work. Things had gone back to normal. When the Director found out what had happened he fired the Agent and told him if he ever bother anyone again he would ensure he pay with his freedom. Originally after the first situation he had just been suspended for a couple weeks. But after the situation with the entire floor watching the Director knew he needed to fire the Agent. What he did was completely unacceptable.

The case they had been called to that day was solved in just a few days. When they got back Lorelai found out he had been fired and was relieved. She didn't have to see him at work anymore. Hotch and her did have another discussion about the situation and not telling him up front but he had decided to let it slide. He decided that as a women it was okay for her to keep things like this to herself as long as she honestly doesn't believe there would be any threat to her safety. She had no way of knowing he would react the way he did.

Everyone who had witnessed the incident also knew not to bring it up again. The members of her team didn't bring it up, but they kept a close eye on her but after a few hours she was okay. She had gone to see her therapist a few days after it happened, and she talked to her about it and even she was sure Lorelai would get past it quickly.

One good thing about Lorelai's past is she learned how to quickly get her life back together after situations. She was able to move past trauma quickly without it effecting her too much.

Rachel's adoption had happed too it was just as exciting for Lorelai as her own. Rachel was happier than she had ever been. The judge was the same one who approved Lorelai's adoption, so he was more than happy for them to grow their family. He knew that Aaron was a good dad and that they were happy with him so there was no reason he shouldn't approve it.

It was getting close to Thanksgiving and Lorelai decided it was a good opportunity for another get together.

She talked to Aaron about it, and he agreed to it without much arm twisting. He knew how much it meant to Lorelai and Rachel and he did see how much it had benefited the whole team as well as his children to get to know the people who they could always count on.

Derek had already made plans to go home for Thanksgiving and was bringing Penny to meet his family. The rest agreed and were happy to come. Jack was even going to be spending this Thanksgiving with them.

Aaron took the girls to the store to get whatever was needed. He had never made a turkey before, but Lorelai had so he trusted her to get what they needed. He just paid the bill. Lorelai offered to pay for it, but Aaron refused it.

The day before Thanksgiving Lorelai started the prep and got Rachel and her dad involved in making the meal too. She didn't mind taking the lead, but she wasn't doing it on her own. Making turkey wasn't all that hard and it was something everyone should know how to do, in her opinion.

Aaron and Rachel were happy to help. Rachel even made a pie from scratch. Its something she had learned how to do when she was younger. Of all the crap Rachel and Lorelai had been through in their previous home they did learn how to cook and bake because it was part of what they were made to do.

Jack came a little later in the day and Lorelai had him help too. Obviously there wasn't anything dangerous involved, but he wanted to help so she let him do some stirring and putting things in bowls to mix. Typical things you would have a young kid help with.

On the day of. Lorelai got up early and finished prepping the bird and got it in the oven. She also threw together a quick breakfast so people could stay out of the kitchen. Slowly the rest of the house came alive as each woke up and headed out. They ate as they woke up. When Aaron got up he came into the kitchen to see what was happening and to get his coffee.

"Morning Lorelai." He said

Lorelai smiled. "Morning dad. Breakfast is on the table."

Aaron smiled. "In the future if you have your own family they will be well taken care of."

Lorelai chuckled. "I actually enjoy cooking. Guess I cant hate on being forced to cook to much when I was. I learned a lot." She said

Aaron nodded. "Know that while its very much appreciated you will never be forced to cook here."

Lorelai nodded. "I know. But like I said I enjoy it. Baking though, I am glad that Rachel made the pie." She chuckled.

Aaron smiled. He took his coffee and went and ate breakfast. He was actually the last one up that morning. Rachel was working with Jack making turkey hands on construction paper. Aaron couldn't figure out how he went from being a father to one boy whom he barely saw to a father of two teenage girls too in the last year. Everything had happened so fast. He was glad but he often wondered if the girls missed the opportunity of having a mother. He didn't think long though because when he was done breakfast he did a quick tidy of the place. The place stayed pretty clean with everyone pitching in, but it was lived in, so he just picked up a few thing.

When he was done he checked in on the food making and saw Jack helping Lorelai. He smiled. "I need to borrow your assistant. Time to get him ready."

Lorelai nodded. "Thank you for your help my little sous chef." she smiled

Jack had a big grin as he went with his dad. Rachel took that as a note to get herself ready too. She had been helping whoever needed help all morning. A few minutes later Lorelai was ready to start getting herself ready as well. When Rachel came back in Lorelai asked her to keep an eye on things in the kitchen while she got ready.

Lorelai took a shower and got dressed as well doing her hair and makeup. She didn't wear makeup on the regular but for special occasions she enjoyed using it. Not to hide anything but just for fun. When she came out everyone was ready. The kitchen had been cleaned of dishes too. She smiled at Rachel. "Thank you for your help."

Rachel nodded. "No problem."

They all sat in the living room and waited for everyone to arrive.

The afternoon went off without a hitch. The food was amazing. Hotch had carved the turkey when it was ready. And all the sides were delicious as well. Everyone told Lorelai they had done a great job Spencer even whispered to her that she was even more attractive to him knowing how well she could cook. Lorelai thanked them and assured them that Aaron, Rachel, and Jack had helped them as well. And that the pie was all Rachel. She smirked at Spencer's private comment but didn't say anything back.

They of course told Rachel she had done a good job with the pie.

After they ate, everyone sat around the living room in their food coma state and just enjoyed each others company. After a bit Emily and Jennifer helped Lorelai with putting food away and dishes. Eventually everyone headed out with a to go container filled with leftovers for the follow day. Lorelai knew there was no way they could eat all the leftovers on their own, so she insisted they all take some.

After everyone left. Lorelai flopped on her favorite chair in the living room. It had been along day. But a good day none the less. Jack was already asleep on the couch. Aaron picked him up and took him to bed.

Rachel sat down in the living room as well. "This was a good day." She said

Lorelai nodded in agreement.

Aaron came back in a few minutes later.

Rachel looked at them both. "I know we did the things we were thankful for at dinner, but I want to thank you both. You gave me a family a real family." She said

Aaron smiled. "You two have made me a better father. I am happy that I can help you both have the family you deserve."

Lorelai smiled. "Helping you helped me too. I'm so glad your my little sister."

"I do have a question for you both?" Aaron said to his daughter and waited till they were both looking at him. "Do you feel like your missing out by not having a mother."

They both said no.

"Our experience with a 'mother' was not a good one. We both have strong female role models in Penelope, Emily and Jennifer." Lorelai pointed out.

"And I also have Lorelai to look up to." Rachel added

Lorelai smiled. "That's sweet but aim higher than me."

"Why? You graduated highschool at twelve really. Became an FBI agent at fifteen and excelled at that while living in a horrible situation and you even took extra crap to protect us younger kids. You rescued me and all the other girls in the hell hole we lived in and rescued me again from my next crappy foster home. You put all these family get together on and are amazing with Jack. You helped me when I had that fight at school to realize I needed to deal with the consequences and that I was better than that. You are an amazing person and amazing role model." Rachel told her big sister

Lorelai smiled and blushed a bit

"I agree you are a great big sister, daughter, friend, all around human being, and a great agent too. There is plenty for Rachel to look up to." Aaron told his eldest daughter

"You both are too kind. But I have plenty of faults too." Lorelai pointed out

"Lorelai we all have things about ourselves that we need to work on. But that doesn't make us any less of good people." Her dad told her.

Lorelai nodded a bit.

"You might think badly of yourself, but I think you are an amazing person, and I will continue to strive to be like you. In my own way." Rachel told her big sister.

"I think that as long as you are your own person striving to have Lorelai's traits is an amazing goal." Aaron told her. "But as long as you are your own person." He repeated.

Rachel nodded "Of course."

"And I don't want you talking negatively about yourself anymore Lorelai." Aaron told her.

Lorelai nodded. "I'll try." She said

"Good. Because Jack looks up to you too. And you too Rachel." Aaron told his girls

They both nodded. Lorelai got up at that point and went and made herself her nightly tea. She sat back down with it a few minutes later and closed her eyes winding down from the excitement of the day.

It wasn't long after that Aaron told the girls not to stay up to late and went to get some work done in his office.

Lorelai shook her head. He really had a hard time taking a day off from any kind of work, but she wasn't judging him. He was a really good agent, and he had more paperwork to do than any of the other Agent's on the team.

Lorelai finished her tea and went to her room to change and read for awhile before bed.

Rachel watched some TV before she also headed off to bed for the night as well.
