Disclaimer: I only own Kat and Ophelia.
Sobs broke through the large mansion. The mansion was occupied by two sisters and their three friends. The sisters, Kat and Ophelia, were the sole owners of the house; it having been left to them by their parents when their mom scored a big break on Broadway and their dad went with her.
Chica was a close friend of Kat and Ophelia and was more than happy to live with them. Bonnie and Freddy followed shortly after, ecstatic to move out of their parent's homes.
Ophelia was the social butterfly of the group and the biggest flirt. She had long curly blonde hair that she loved to style and twirl. Her chocolate brown eyes paired with fair skin and height of 5'5" gave her confidence in any room she walked into.
Despite being sisters, Kat didn't share any resemblance with Ophelia, having red wavy hair just past her shoulders that made her green eyes pop and tan skin while being three inches shorter.
Chica had shoulder length curly hair, striking violet eyes, pale skin and was only an inch taller than Kat.
Kat and Ophelia's parents sent the girls checks monthly to pay for utilities. The occupants paid for their phones and food with their own money, something that they considered fair.
Chica cried in her room while Kat and Ophelia comforted her. She had found out that her boyfriend, Springtrap, had been cheating on her. She mustered up the courage to break up with him before running back home.
"How could he do this?" Chica screamed through her tears. "I'm never falling in love again!"
"Hate to break it to you but that's sort of impossible," Ophelia argued softly.
"Says the girl who falls in love with every guy she meets," Chica shot back. She took a spoonful of ice cream and put it in her mouth.
Kat giggled softly but stopped when she caught her sister's annoyed glare. "Lia's right," she admitted. "It's hard to turn off emotions."
Chica shoved more ice cream in her mouth, not wanting to admit that her friends were right. "Let me have my moment."
There was a hesitant knock at the door before Freddy, a tall man of 5'10" with short brown hair and brown eyes, poked his head in. "Is it safe?" He inquired. If there was one thing he knew, it was that when it came to breakups girls were very unpredictable.
For example, Ophelia would fly into a rage and break things. Kat, on the other hand, would throw herself into working out at the gym to distract herself. Chica would cry, sometimes to the point of getting sick, and bake to calm herself.
Bonnie hovered behind Freddy. He was a man 6' with shoulder length purple hair and brown eyes. He was nervous anytime the girls were upset.
"Yes, it's safe," Chica snarled. She sighed before apologizing, "I'm sorry Freddy; you too, Bonnie."
Freddy and Bonnie slowly eased into the room, choosing to stay by the door in case they needed to make a quick getaway. Neither of them knew which of the girls was scariest when going through a heartbreak.
"I'm so sorry Chica," Bonnie said sympathetically. He caught the blonde's eyes and smiled sadly.
"It's fine," Chica insisted. She looked in the ice cream carton. "Anyone got more?"
"I'll get it," Ophelia volunteered before anyone else could speak up. She flounced out of the room.
Bonnie looked over Kat, noting that she was looking thinner than usual. He frowned, wondering if she had eaten lately.
Kat didn't notice Bonnie watching her as she stroked Chica's blonde hair. Ophelia came back with a pint of peanut butter cup and handed it to Chica.
Kat took this opportunity to break some news. "Guys," she began. "So, mine and Lia's friend's lease is going to be up soon…" She paused to look at her nails awkwardly, she always had a hard time speaking up.
"Kat, get on with it." Ophelia prodded gently.
Kat went on as if she hadn't been disrupted. "Well, I didn't offer yet, I wanted to ask you guys first."
"Foxy?" Ophelia inquired.; she smiled when Kat nodded. "Sure," she decided. "Foxy's cool." She looked at Freddy and Bonnie. "Guys?"
"Yeah, sure." Freddy agreed.
Bonnie thought for a second before nodding. Kat set her eyes on Chica.
"What?" Chica questioned, looking up from her ice cream. "Oh sure, whatever."

The gang attended the same college that offered a wide variety of majors. It had a crime statistic analysist program that Kat was in, culinary arts for Chica, fashion design for Ophelia, business management for Freddy, and music theory for Bonnie. Kat and Chica were freshmen while Ophelia, Bonnie, and Freddy were sophomores.
"You sure it's fine?" Foxy asked the next day in class in the biology class that was mandatory for all students to take. As a nursing major, he understood why he had to take this class but why Kat had to baffled him.
Foxy had long red hair, down to his waist that he begrudgingly tied up for labs, amber color eyes, fair skin. He towered over Kat at 5'11".
"Yes." Kat didn't even look away from the chemicals she was mixing.
"Your roommates don't have a problem with it?"
"No."
"Will they—"
"Foxy, you're ruining my concentration," Kat interrupted, mildly peeved. She really hated her concentration being interrupted.
"Your dad's a scientist," the man pointed out.
The redhead girl carefully brought the beakers up to start pouring. "He's an experimental physicist."
"Same thing." Foxy paused a beat. "So, I'll be moving in."
Kat made a noise, not giving her partner much thought.
"Thanks, Kat!" The man exclaimed happily. He threw his arms around the girl causing her to spill the chemicals over the front of her shirt.
Kat let out a string of swears in Italian, making Foxy suddenly glad he couldn't understand her. She shot an irritated glare at him and recieved a sheepish grin in return.
"Have I mentioned how beautiful you look today?" Foxy said weakly.
"What happened?" Professor Mike asked in worry as he approached the lab table.
Kat shoved her chair back and rushed over to the emergency shower in the back. Mike's student assistant, Mangle, followed to help Kat.
Mike raised an eyebrow at Foxy, who giggled nervously. "This won't cause me to lose roommate status, will it?" He called to the back of the room.
Kat poked her head from behind the curtain and scowled. "Just get my sister," she commanded as Mangle moved the curtain to conceal her.
"Yes ma'am," Foxy replied hastily. He scurried out of the room.
