Disclaimer: I only own Kat and Ophelia.
If there was one thing that confused Chica, it was her feelings for Foxy.
'Why does he think I don't like him?' She asked herself as she wiped her forehead with her sweatband. 'I don't dislike him, I just don't want to like him like that.' She shook her head. 'I swore I would never fall in love again.'
"How are you doing, Chica?" Ophelia asked as she flounced into the kitchen. "Need help?"
"You're funny," Chica laughed heartedly. "I got this under control."
The older blonde dragged in a chair behind her and plopped down. Chica raised her eyebrows but kept working.
"Would you take a break?" Ophelia asked in mild worry. "You've been in this room since you woke up." She paused. "Not that we don't like when you cook for us on our birthdays but you gotta sit down every once in a while."
Chica considered this as she put the cake in the oven. "Aw, why not?" She decided causing Ophelia to squeal happily. She set the timer before following Ophelia into the dining room.
"So Chic, any guys catch your eye?" Ophelia asked, leaning in.
"Seriously?" Chica deadpanned, her expression showing how unamused she was. "This is what you disrupted my cooking for?"
The brown eye girl put her hands up in surrender. "Sorry, I'm a hopeless romantic."
"Oh, I know," Chica teased. "One of these days that will get you in trouble. Remember when you tried playing matchmaker and set me up with Golden?"
"How was I supposed to know he was creepy and would steal our underwear?"
"I suppose you're right." Chica decided to change the topic. "I know this will sound weird but how do you know when you like a guy or like like him?"
The older blonde look dumbfounded. She had never thought about it. She usually just accepted the teasing about "falling in love with every guy she saw". The closest she could think of was her parents and even they had a short amount of time they weren't together.
"I-I don't know," she admitted. "I mean, my parents have been together but there was that thing when we were kids. Kat and Bonnie looked like they could have something but…" She perked up suddenly. "Hey!"
"Lia, no!" Chica caught on quickly, she could practically see the wheels in her friend's head spinning.
The older blonde pouted, "You guys never let me have fun."
The younger blonde sighed and went back into the kitchen.
FNAFFNAFFNAFFNAFFNAFFNAF
"Happy birthday!" A huge crowd, led by Ophelia of course, shouted when Kat and Foxy returned home.
Ophelia beamed proudly when Kat cracked a smile. If there was one thing she knew how to do, it was make her sister happy.
"Thanks guys," Kat said shyly. She saw people from the gym, from classes, some of her other friends.
Mangle rushed forward to hug Kat, surprising the redhead. "Hey kid, happy birthday," she said, her eyes lingering on Foxy.
"Oh, thanks Mangle," Kat replied awkwardly. She gave Chica a look that asked, "why is she hugging me?"
"Come on, let's play some games," Ophelia declared, sensing her sister's discomfort. "We got pool and darts downstairs."
Ever the party planner, Ophelia made sure that anything fragile and breakable was locked up. Every room upstairs was locked with the blonde being the only one who had the key. Of course, she'd allowed Kat to go upstairs if she started to get overwhelmed and needed a few minutes alone.
Kat yelped in surprise when she was grabbed from behind, but the surprise dissolved when she realized it was Balloon Boy, an old friend of her and Ophelia's.
"BB!" She cried happily. She threw her arms around him in a hug.
"Kat!" Balloon Boy exclaimed. "Happy birthday! Have you seen the new Halloween movie?"
Kat grinned in excitement. "You know it! Jamie Lee killed it."
Chica observed from across the room, smiling at the fact that Kat was starting to truly enjoy herself.
"Having fun?" Bonnie asked, materializing seemingly out of nowhere. He followed her gaze. "Looks like she's having a nice time."
"Lia really knows how to make us happy," Chica admitted. "Especially when we're all such different personalities." She grinned. "She really does care about Kat." She studied Bonnie closely. "Are you having fun?"
"I am."
The music was suddenly cut off followed by Ophelia shouting, "That's it, everybody out!" A spilt second went by. "That includes you, princess."
Sharing a look of confusion, Chica and Bonnie helped a fired-up Ophelia usher people out of the basement and out the door. Freddy was cleaning up soda cans and cups that were left behind.
"Lia, what happened?" Bonnie inquired, glancing around. "Where's Kat?"
"Upstairs, I hope," Ophelia growled, her face showing so much anger that Bonnie was worried it might stick.
"Why?" Chica asked.
"Fred, you explain," Ophelia commanded in irritation. "I'm going fox hunting." With that, she stormed up the stairs. A stampede of elephants could be quieter than the blonde.
"Uh oh," Bonnie mused nervously. "Never good when she's mad." He turned to the brunet. "What happened?"
Freddy scratched the back of his neck. "Well, Foxy was dancing with Kat and that Mangle girl spilled her drink all over Kat." He looked uncomfortable. "Kat disappeared with BB and Charlotte with her. Ophelia went to confront her, you know how protective she is. Foxy tried to go see if she was okay but Mangle wouldn't let up… she kissed him hard on the mouth."
Chica felt like her heart had broken. Why though? It's not she liked him like that…
"And I guess Lia saw," Freddy concluded. "We all know she gets very protective over Kat and no one gets in the way of that."
"I'll go check on Kat," Chica volunteered. She bounded up the stairs, hoping she could find Ophelia on the way.
