Disclaimer: I only own Kat and Chica.
Chica knocked on Kat's door gently. "Kat?"
"Come in," Kat replied on the other side of the door.
The blonde opened the door to find her friend opening cards. She had her Hocus Pocus long sleeve, short short pajama set on and her hair tied in a messy braid.
Hocus Pocus was playing on her TV, the scene where the Sanderson sisters were at the town hall part was on.
"Everyone left," Kat commented casually. She pushed her gifts to the side so Chica could sit next to her.
"You heard Lia?" Chica asked in amazement as she sat down to Kat.
The redhead laughed. "She's not exactly subtle; I heard her tearing up the stairs shouting for Foxy." She glanced at her friend. "I hope she goes easy on him."
"Aha!" The girls heard Ophelia screech victoriously causing them to stare at the closed door. "Found you!"
"Let me explain!" Foxy exclaimed nervously.
Kat's bedroom door flung open and Foxy stumbled in with an angry Ophelia behind him. Freddy and Bonnie were bringing up the rear.
"Explain!" Ophelia ordered. She moved around him to sit next to Kat, her arms crossed tightly across her chest. "We let you live here and this is how you repay us?"
"Dramatic just like her," Kat mumbled under her breath, rubbing her temples.
"Kat," Foxy spoke up nervously. "I didn't plan it, I swear." He held his hands up. "I swear, I don't even like Mangle."
"Wait, do you like someone?" Ophelia piped up in interest. Her irritation quickly dissolved in favor in curiosity as she leaned forward.
"No!" Foxy protested quickly, causing the flirtatious blonde to pout.
Kat held an unreadable look on her face. Foxy couldn't tell if she was angry or tired... or even if she was listening to him at all.
"I wanted to see if you were okay," Foxy continued nervously. "she wouldn't let go." He paused. "Uh, Kat?"
He noticed she wasn't even looking at him. Confused, he followed her gaze to see her focused on Winifred Sanderson's finale to her big song.
"Kat!" He shouted exasperated. "I'm giving a heartfelt speech, something I don't normally do, and you're not even listening?"
Giggling, the birthday girl said, "You wanted to see if I was okay and she wouldn't let go."
Foxy blinked. "Okay, so you were listening."
"Just because she wasn't looking at you doesn't mean I wasn't listening." Freddy pointed out. "Ophelia does the same thing."
Ophelia nodded before realizing what Freddy said. "Hey!"
"Happy birthday, Kat," Freddy said, purposely ignoring the older blonde's outburst.
"Thanks, Fred," Kat replied with a smile.
Ophelia patted her sister on the shoulder and stood up. "Sorry the party ended on a sour note." She apologized.
Kat shrugged nonchalantly. "Not your fault."
"Happy birthday and Happy Halloween," Chica commented as she left the room with Ophelia behind her.
Kat looked over at Bonnie, who was still in the doorway. "What's up, Bon?" she asked.
"I wanted to give you your birthday gift," he replied nervously.
"Go ahead." The redhead shrugged nonchalantly. "Not sure why you're acting anxious though. I like everything you guys give me."
"Wait here." Bonnie disappeared.
"Where am I going to go?" Kat asked out loud.
To her surprise, Bonnie came back with his guitar. She paused Hocus Pocus and sat up. Her friends normally got her books or active wear so this was a pleasant surprise.
"You gonna sing smelly cat?" Kat joked, referring to Phoebe's most famous song from Friends.
"Not quite."
The purple hair man tuned his guitar, feeling anxious. He wasn't sure why, he performed plenty of times at school or at the cafe the gang liked to go to.
"Looking from a window above," He sang. "It's like a story of love. Can you hear me? Came back only yesterday, I'm moving farther away. Want you near me."
My favorite song, Kat thought as she listened.
"All I needed was the love you gave, all I needed for another day, and all I ever knew only you."
She smiled, she liked this song a lot.
"All I needed was the love you gave, all I needed for another day, and all I ever knew only you." Bonnie finished, letting the last verse fade out. He looked up at Kat. "We played the long game, how about we try again?"
"What about your parents?" Kat inquired shyly.
He smiled. "We'll be fine."
"I'm in." Kat grabbed one of Bonnie's hands and squeezed. "Start slow?"
"Sure." Bonnie put the guitar aside and pulled Kat into his arms, wishing he could stay like this forever. "Sorry about everything."
"Don't worry about it."
Bonnie rested his cheek against Kat's hair. "Happy birthday."
"Thanks," Kat smiled.
A squeal rang through the air as the door opened, causing the two to wince.
"Lia, only dogs could hear you," Kat joked.
Ophelia leapt into the room, tugging Chica behind her. "I'm so happy!" She exclaimed. "You two are together." She smirked. "Now to work on everyone else."
"Lia, no!" Kat protested causing the blonde to pout. She glanced at her clock. "Night's still young, how about we go to a haunted house?"
"Great idea," Chica agreed despite Ophelia's protests. "Guys, we're going to a haunted house!"
"Another one?" Foxy groaned from his room.
"Yes!" Kat exclaimed.
Despite Ophelia and Foxy's protests, the gang got into costumes and went to the nearby prison that hosted a haunted house every year.
"I hate scary," Ophelia grumbled.
