"Okay, now where are the pipes that I need" Henry wondered as he continued searching around the administration offices, occasionally avoiding the butcher gang whenever he spotted them, waiting in one of the many offices in that area until they passed by before proceeding with his search and totally unaware that Lily had just been taken by the Ink Demon again whilst she waited for him to return. He was still looking around for what he needed and came across a tape recording in one of the offices and after checking that there were no butcher gang members lurking around, Henry quietly slipped into the office and began to listen to the recording and it was revealed to be another recording from Joey Drew Himself.
"A small memo to all administration offices. Rumors have begun to fly that we simply can't tolerate any longer. The idea that the company is in some form of financial difficulty is untrue and a slanderous lie against us. It's also been known to me that some backroom incompetents are not trusting in my leadership. As a leader, I'm always steering the boat, guiding our destiny. Looking at the big picture. No need for you people to worry about such complicated things. Just do whatever it is you do and trust your leader..which is me."
"Heh, some leader " Henry scoffed "you let this place go to hell." He was about to leave the room again when another audio recording began to play, it was another voice recording from Joey Drew.
"Listen, Tommy, I know you boys over at Gent are doing your best, but I'm paying for living attractions, not weird abominations! whatever that grinning thing was I saw wandering around your office, you better keep it locked up tight!"
"Bendy" Henry muttered before proceeding to listen to the rest of the recording.
"I realize it was a first attempt but imagine if the press caught sight of it, might scare off investors. And in response to your previous memo, if you claim your failures are because these things are soulless, then, damn it, we'll get them a soul, after all, I own thousands of them." It was at that moment that Henry realized where the living cartoons had come from, Joey must have been experimenting with the other workers to bring his cartoon creations to life, but what he couldn't understand if that Bendy was indeed soulless, then how could it be possible for him to speak and display some kind of personality, after all, he and Lily had witnessed this everytime they encountered the Ink Demon, unless, there was something much more than him not having a soul which could explain his evil personality.
"Well, better continue trying to find those pipes" he muttered as he left the room, but what Joey had said on those recordings was playing on the back of his mind, did Bendy really not have a soul or was there another reason behind his behavior, after all, it would have been impossible for him to display some sort of personality if he did not have a soul.
Meanwhile, Lily must have fallen unconscious, the little girl found herself waking up on the floor of a large circular room with what appeared to be some kind of throne sitting in the middle of it and as she slowly pulled herself up into a sitting position, she noticed that there were TV screens on the walls and they all seemed to be playing various Bendy cartoons.
"So,you're finally awake" Lily turned around to find Bendy sitting on the throne like chair, he didn't seem to be looking at her, instead he was looking at some sort of film reel that he held in his hands yet he somehow knew that she was now awake "you passed out as soon as we entered the portal, well I guess you humans are not used to travelling through the Ink portals and you were unconscious the last time I took you through one." Lily backed up against the wall in fear as he stood up and made his way towards her before crouching down to her level, his Ink covered, grinning face just inches away from her own.
"W..where am I?" the little girl asked, her voice shaking "what is this place?"
"Why this, is my lair or better yet, the Ink machine" Bendy explained as Lily looked at him in confusion.
"But..this can't be the Ink machine" she implied "it's impossible, It was a lot smaller than this place." The Ink Demon chuckled at the girl's confusion before proceeding to roughly grab her by the chin.
"Oh you silly child, that wasn't the Ink machine you encountered when you and Henry first arrived here, that was only part of it...you see, what we are inside now, is the main Ink machine itself, hidden deep within the studio" he explained before releasing his grip on the child.
"My Daddy will find me, he'll come for me" Lily stated, trying to sound brave yet her voice was still shaking "he'll save me."
"Oh, I'm counting on it, I've been wanting to get my revenge on that man ever since he left this place...left me behind" Bendy explained, his voice full of pure hatred and anger "I thought he cared about me, but it just turned out he was just like the others, left me here to rot, just like the rest of them." Lily watched in confusion as he stood up and walked towards one of the TV screens showing one of his old cartoons, placing his large gloved hand on it before letting out a deep growl which sounded angry yet somewhat sad.
"You know" he stated as he turned around to face the little girl "I never always looked like this, I used to look just as I did in the old cartoons, until your precious Daddy left me behind without so much as a goodbye, then Joey locked me up in this machine, said I wasn't worthy to be around other people because I'm a Demon and was deemed to dangerous to be around others...so I was locked away for all those years and during that time, I vowed that those who did this to me will pay, I promised to make them suffer, just like I did, they would soon learn to fear me, the Ink Demon."
"B..but, what has this all got to do with me, I wasn't even born when he left" Lily replied "and I'm sorry they did that to you, it wasn't right, no one should be locked away and maybe, there was a reason why my Daddy didn't say goodbye, maybe Joey forced him to leave and wouldn't let him say goodbye. I think I'm beginning to understand why you're doing all this but why take me, I had nothing to do with any of this." The two looked at each other for a couple of seconds and Lily could have sworn she saw the expression change in Bendy's face, almost like he regretted everything he had done, but he shook his head and let out a small growl.
"Foolish child" he sneered "taking you is all part of my revenge against Henry, once he realises that you're gone, he'll come looking for you, but don't get your hopes up of being saved little one" he began slowly advancing towards the scared little girl who was backing away in fear "because, it'll be too late by the time he comes to save you." Lily screamed and dodged out the way a the Ink Demon made a grab for her with his large gloved hand, scrambling to her feet and running to the doors, banging on them and screaming as Bendy calmly watched, chuckling at her efforts.
"LET ME OUT, HELP HELP" she screamed as her captor slowly made his way towards her, before grabbing her and placing his hand over her face as she struggled in his grip.
"You are a noisy little child, making such a fuss" he taunted as the little girl continued to struggle as he held his hand over her face "but don't worry little one, you will soon learn to be loyal to me, I'll make sure of it" Lily could feel herself growing lightheaded and dizzy, her vision starting to fade as she felt herself being lifted from the floor "you, Lily Bowen, now belong to me...you are my little girl now." That was the last thing Lily heard before her world faded to darkness.
