"Lily, oh god, please no" Henry muttered as he saw his little girl behind that glass window, unconscious and slumped against the wall, watching as the tube slowly began to fill up with Ink and he knew that he had to get her out of there before she ended up turning into possibly one of those Lost ones or even a searcher, but as he pounded on the glass it didn't even crack and Lily wasn't showing any signs of stirring or movement, the child appeared to be completely comatose.
"Hang in there Lily, Daddy's gonna get you out of there" he implied before looking around for something to break the glass, and he knew he had to hurry, her feet and ankles were now almost completely submerged in the Ink and it was now slowly reaching her knees. "Come on, there's got to be something". He continued to search until he came across a metal pipe lying on the ground and hoping this would break the glass, Henry picked it up and with all his strength, began to hit the glass but it still showed no sign of breaking.
"Come on, break you darn thing" he muttered in fury as he swung the pipe against the glass more and more, desperate to get Lily out of there before it was too late "you're not taking my daughter from me." After one final swing, the glass finally shattered and Henry threw the pipe aside, reached into the tube and pulled the little girl out before laying her on the floor.
"Lily, wake up Baby, wake up" the man pleaded as he attempted to wake up the unconscious child "please, wake up honey." He put his ear to her chest to make sure she was still breathing and thankfully, she still was but she was still unconscious. After a few more attempts of trying to wake her up, the little girl drew a shuddering gasp and her eyes snapped open before slowly turning her head to find Henry crouched next to her.
"D...Daddy" she stuttered as he helped her sit up and pulled her into a tight hug "I...knew you'd come for me."
"Oh Lily, thank goodness you're alright," Henry said with relief, "I thought I was going to lose you again." The child let out a choked sob and threw her arms around him, implying that she thought she wasn't going to see him again, that she thought that the Ink Demon was going to keep her there forever.
"Where is he, where is the Ink Demon?" Henry questioned, looking the child directly in the eyes "what did he do to you?"
"I can't remember exactly, the last thing I remember was being in this room with lots of TV screens and there was also some kind of throne in the middle, then Bendy showed up and began talking about something, I can't remember what exactly but I do remember trying to run away and he grabbed me, then everything went dark" the little girl explained, her voice shaking "can we go now, I want to get out of this place."
"Listen to me Lily, I think he has something that may be the key to us getting out of here" Henry explained to the child "so we can't leave just yet, not until we find whatever he took from the vault" he could see the look of fear in the little girl's eyes "hey don't worry, if we run into him, I won't let him lay one finger on you." Lily nodded as Henry helped her to her feet and the pair proceeded to the huge double doors in front of them, not knowing what could possibly lie beyond them but there was no turning back now.
"There's got to be a way in" Henry muttered as he looked for an opening "I can't seem to find a door handle or..." he was cut off as the doors slowly opened and Henry turned around to see that Lily had found a lever right by the door "oh, good job kiddo." Henry took Lily's hand before the pair of them walked into a large, circular room which had TV screens playing various Bendy cartoons and right in the middle of the rooms, was some kind of throne.
"D..daddy, I've been in here before, this is the room I was telling you about" Lily whispered, "I think.. this is Bendy's throne room." Henry immediately agreed with her, but as he scanned around the room, he saw no sign of the Ink Demon, but he did come across a tape player sitting on the throne which looked just like the ones they had been seeing throughout the studio. "Do you think there's another recording on there?" Lily asked as they both slowly approached the throne "do you think it'll hold the answer on how we can leave this place?" the little girl looked up at Henry with a curious expression, but he implied that he had no idea what was on the tape, that they had to listen to find out and the child nodded gingerly before Henry proceeded to press the play button and Joey Drew's voice echoed around the large, circular room.
"It's simply awe-inspiring what one can accomplish with their own hands. A lump of clay can turn to meaning... if you strangle it with enough enthusiasm. Look what we built, we created life itself, Henry, not just on a silver screen, but in the hearts of those we entertained with our fancy moving pictures. But..when the tickets stopped selling...when the next big thing came along, only the monsters remained shadows of the past. But you can save them, Henry, Lily, you both can peel it all away. You see, there's only thing Bendy has never known. He was there for his beginning, but he's never seen... the end."
"Daddy, look," Lily said as she picked up a film reel with the words THE END written on the front in huge letters, " I think this is what Mr. Drew was talking about." Henry took the reel from her and began to examine it "Lily, this is it, this is the key to us getting out of this place, this is what we need to defeat the Ink Demon."
"Oh, I don't think so" both Henry and Lily looked to find Bendy standing behind the throne leering down at the pair "I have to say that I'm impressed that you made it this far Henry" Henry pushed Lily behind him as the child watched the Ink Demon with a fearful expression "it must have been a long, treacherous journey for you to come all the way to my domain, just to rescue your precious child. But I'm afraid old friend, that all journeys must come to end and this is where your journey ends, right now, heh heh heh." Before either of them could process what was happening, the Ink Demon suddenly began to transform right before their eyes, turning into a much more demonic, monstrous version of himself which bore no resemblance what so ever to the little toon that Henry created all those years ago.
"Oh my god" Henry mouthed as the great hulking beast that Bendy had become loomed over the pair before letting out a snarl, reaching behind the man before snatching Lily up from the floor.
"DADDY!" the little girl screamed as Beast Bendy gripped her in his giant hand, snarling with victory "DADDY HELP ME!"
"Let her go" Henry yelled as he ran towards the giant, monstrous form of what was once a small, cute cartoon that held his terrified child in its giant hand, only for the beast to grip the man by his shirt and lift him from his feet.
"Never" Beast Bendy snarled, his voice sounding the same as it did before, only more deep and booming "she's mine!" and with one swipe, he backhanded Henry through the wall and into a maze-like area. It took Henry a few seconds to gather his senses and as he got to his feet, he noticed that Beast Bendy and Lily were now nowhere to be seen and before he could call out to his daughter, he heard a deep chuckle echoing around the area.
"Don't you remember Henry, how me and you used to play games before you left without so much as a goodbye" the Ink Demon taunted as Henry desperately looked around for Lily "it's been so long hasn't it, how about we play a little game right now before I deliver your fate and keep Lily here with me forever."
"Give me my daughter back right now, what have you done with her" Henry demanded, only for the Demon to let out a deep chuckle in response "I mean it, give her back, she's innocent in all of this."
"But Lily wants to play too" Bendy replied in a taunting voice "she wants to play hide and seek, she wants you to find her and say goodbye before I dispose of you and keep her forever, but don't worry old friend, she will remain unharmed, I'll just give her a new, inkier appearance, heh heh heh. Are you ready, let the game begin, you have five minutes, oh and Henry, the place where Lily is hiding requires you to pull six levers which are hidden throughout the maze, you may start...now."
Knowing that this was possibly the only way that he was going to find Lily, Henry began to look around for the levers but he barely made two steps forward when the whole room began to rumble and soon the maze became filled with searchers, lost ones and even Butcher gang clones, "What the hell?" he stated as they began advancing towards him.
"What?" Bendy's voice replied over the speakers "I didn't say I was going to make it easy, you got to find the six levers within five minutes without being caught by my minions, now get a move on if you want to say goodbye to your child." As the searchers, lost ones and Butcher gang clones began to close in on him, Henry quickly evading their attacks and began running around the maze, trying to find the six levers as the Ink Demon's minions pursued him and he could also hear Bendy continuously taunt him over the speakers and a scared Lily begging him to stop all this.
"But I thought you would have liked to play a little game with your daddy before I send him to his demise" Henry could hear him say to his scared child followed by her whimpers and this gave him more determination to proceed with his mission of finding the levers and saving Lily before it was too late, he wasn't going to let him keep his little girl in this hell hole of a studio. His thoughts where suddenly cut short as a Piper clone launched itself onto his back and began attempting to choke him.
"Gah" Henry gasped as he attempted to fight the creature off whilst listening to Bendy taunt Lily as she begged the Ink Demon to stop all this, only for her scared sobbing to met by evil chuckling. After what seemed like forever, Henry managed to fight the Piper clone off, causing it to fly into the nearby wall and dissolve into a puddle of ink and it was at that moment he came across the final lever. "Well, here goes nothing" the man said before pulling the lever and hearing the door to another room opening "okay this is it, time to save Lily." He then proceeded to run to where he heard the doors opening but it wasn't long before he found himself being pursued by the Ink creatures that had been lurking around the area.
"Come on old man, move it" he said, teeth gritting as he forced himself to move forward "Lily's counting on you." After what seemed like an eternity, Henry finally reached the room he had opened with the six levers and managed to shut the doors before the Ink Demon's minions could get through.
Looking around, he found himself in a large room that, just like the thrown room, had TV screens playing the old Bendy cartoons and in the middle of the room, was for glass tubes that had Ink running through them but, where the hell was Lily and Bendy. Before Henry could call out to her, he heard a deep, sinister chuckle coming from behind him and he turned around to find Beast Bendy looming over him and he was still holding Lily in his large hand, the little girl's face was pale and she was beyond petrified.
"So good of you to finally show up old friend" he chuckled, looming over the old animator "me and Lily here thought you we're never going to show up. I'm amazed you managed to evade my minions without so much as a scratch, still no matter, it's time for you to meet your end." The large beast then let out an almighty roar as he swiped at Henry whilst Lily screamed in fear and Henry managed to evade the Ink Demon's attack, causing him to strike one of the metal tubes, breaking it into pieces. This gave Henry an idea and he ran towards the next tube and began waving his arms around in a taunting manner.
"Hey you big brute I'm over here, come and get me" he stated was Bendy let out a frustrated growl and swiped at the man who dodged the attack yet again, causing him to break another glass tube.
"Daddy," Lily said, her voice shaking "what are you doing?"
"Trust me Lily, Daddy knows what he's doing" Henry replied before proceeded to repeat what he was doing and before long, all four tubes had been broken, causing the room to plunge into darkness for a few seconds and when they came back on, Bendy and Lily where nowhere to be seen but another entrance had been opened and it lead right back into the throne room.
"Wait, the end tape, I need to play that in order to put a stop to all this madness" he remembered before running into the throne room, picking up the end film reel and placing it into the film player, just as the Ink Demon showed up with Lily still in his grasp.
"Heh heh heh, well it's been a good run Henry my old friend, but now it's time for you to meet your end" he implied before turning to Lily with an evil sneer "say goodbye to your Daddy little one, because I'm going to tear him to little pieces right here, right now."
"Ahem" Henry cleared his throat "if you would care to look behind you." Bendy growled in frustration and reluctantly turned around to find all the TV screens in the room displaying the words "the end" and the creature dropped Lily onto the ground and let out a hiss.
"Nooooo, the end tape, my only weakness" Beast Bendy let out an inhuman roar as Lily ran into Henry's arms "nooooo, I'm melting, Heeeenry, heeeelp meeeeee." Both Henry and Lily watched as Beast Bendy dissolved into a large puddle of Ink and after the creature was gone, Henry pulled Lily into a tight hug.
"Oh Lily baby, thank god you're alright, I thought I almost lost you again" he stated as the little girl clung to him, whimpering in fear "hey shh, it's okay, Daddy's here now, it's all over now, it's all over now."
"Can we go home now?" the little girl said softly "I want to go home."
"I think that's a good idea, come on you, let's get out of this place" Henry implied before standing up with Lily in his arms but just as the pair where about to leave, something began moving from underneath the Ink puddle and the pair watched as a small, black figure emerged before turning around to face the pair and both Henry and Lily couldn't believe their eyes as the little creatures large, pie cut eyes stared back at them and there was no mistaking who it was.
"Bendy?" Henry stated.
Authors note:
So I was made aware by a couple of reviewers that the part where Bendy is defeated somehow ended up somewhere near the beginning of the chapter rather than near the end where it was supposed to be so I've now fixed that issue and thanks to the two reviewers for pointing out this error.
