Well, here's my second fanfic, although a bit longer! And yes, the title is referring to that one movie, so what? It'll be quite relevant in the story, y'all will see! ON WITH THE STORY!
Relevant info: This story plays a year after episode 25 of Toradora, making Minori, Ryuuji and Kitamura 19 and Taiga, Sumire (yes, the former school council president plays sort of a role too) and the dumb chihuahua 20.
A year has already passed once Taiga Aisaka came back to Ohashi High School to surprise her boyfriend, Ryuuji Takasu. Ever since then, the couple has been living together in the Takasu residence, along with Yaa-chan, Ryuuji's mother, and Inko-chan, the ugly parakeet that was able to say her name after a long ass time. As for their education, Taiga was in university, studying business studies, while Ryuuji was working at the bakery he was working at since that one Valentine's Day.
Taiga would kick the door in with a smile, seeing as she was officially living at Ryuuji's place and doesn't need to knock anymore. "I'M BACK!" Taiga screamed as she tossed her bag aside. "ARGH! S-SHUT UP!" Inko screamed as the girl rolls her eyes. "You shut up, fugly bird." She simply replies.
Ryuuji would smile as his Tiger came back from university, attempting to hold back a laugh at the banter between her and the possibly brain damaged parakeet as he prepared some miso soup and pork cutlets. "How are you?" He asks as Taiga sits down at the table. "Bored. University is so boring. Oh, and also, hungry..."
Ryuuji couldn't help but laugh. "The food will be ready soon, don't worry." he says, smirking as she called university boring. "That's why I'm working instead of learning..." Ryuuji adds, even though there is a different reason he's working his butt off.
"Don't overwork yourself, you don't wanna end up like Yaa-chan that one time..." Taiga warns as Ryuuji chuckles. "Don't worry, I know when I should stop. Besides, my boss is on a trip starting today, so no work for the next few weeks or so." he says as Taiga immediately smiles. "Well, isn't that a coincidence...it's spring break for the university, seems like you have me on your ass all the time now."
Ryuuji shrugs as he brings the food to the table, kissing his Tiger on the lips before smiling at her sweetly. "I wouldn't have it any other way..." He says.
As Taiga starts blushing madly, Ryuuji suddenly gets a call. "Takasu Reside-"
"WAZZUUUUUUUP!" A voice on the other line yells out, making Ryuuji hold his phone away from his ear, yet he recognises who this voice belongs to. "Kitamura! How's life overseas?" Ryuuji asks with a chuckle as Taiga shoots her head up at the mention of their old friend's name.
"It's great! Got Sumire and some other new friends with me and that's all that matters!" Kitamura says with a laugh. "Look, I miss you all though! It's spring break over here and I wondered if y'all wanted to visit! Kawashima and Kushieda already said yes!" he explains as Ryuuji smiles. "Of course, it's been ages, man!", he answers. "Great! There's a plane I already paid for waiting for you all tomorrow!" Kitamura says, adding a "See ya!" afterwards.
After the call Ryuuji smiles at Taiga. "I know what we're gonna do during our free time...A trip to America!" he says, making the Palmtop Tiger smile with joy. "You mean we're getting the group together again?" She asks, to which Ryuuji nods. "I'll join you with dinner in a few seconds..." He says as he quickly vanishes into his room. He immediately opens a locked drawer with all the cash he earned from his job inside of it. "This'll do for her..." Ryuuji says with a smile.
Once he comes back though, Taiga has already eaten her portion. "WHAT THE...IT HASN'T EVEN BEEN A MINUTE!" He says shocked as Taiga simply holds her plate up. "Seconds!" Ryuuji sighs, but immediately follows Taiga's demand. Secretly, he was smiling to himself while thinking: "Never change...my little glutton."
Aaaand that's it for the first chapter! Short, I know, but I'll try to make them longer as time goes on, I promise! This time a review would be appreciated a lot as this would not be the final fic I write, hopefully. (If you want to write a review, of course, I don't care...this is how you rope people in, right?)
