Previous, on The Four Warriors Of The World! Jacob and co arrived at Master Stevens's place, where they saw him just recruiting a boy named Owen. Jacob was able to get recruited by just being the Grandson of Marcus Han. Kenta and Alice had to prove themselves. Long story short, Kenta won by a mile. Alice was going to go home, but Katie convinced Master Stevens that if Alice can cook a meal to his standard, she can stay. While she is preparing a meal, Master Stevens wants to see what he's dealing with, so he wants his students to have a sparing match.

First up is Kenta vs. Owen. Strength Vs. Skill. Who will be the victor? Find out in this chapter of The Four Warriors Of The World!

Before we get started on this chapter, I would like to thank Alvin D-Rod for helping me put this chapter together. So go check out his stories after you are finished reading this chapter.

Anyways, with no further ado, let's get started on this chapter.

Chapter Twenty-Nine:

Strength Vs. Skill: Which Is Better:

Kenta got into her fighting position as she was ready for the fight against Owen. Owen gets into position too.

Owen: (Thinking) This is going to be easy. Like, come on, she's a girl. How tough can she possibly be?

Kenta sends a strong kick towards Owen's left section of his body, which surprises him and sends him flying to a tree.

Owen: What the hell?!

Kenta: Just because I'm a girl doesn't mind I'm not strong.

Owen didn't know this, but because Kenta is a Loboaiyjin, strength and speed were on her side.

Kenta gets ready for the next round.

Jacob: Be careful, Owen; Kenta is not to be underestimated.

Kenta: Jacob, whose side are you on?

Jacob: What? I'm just telling Owen that you're not to be taken lightly.

Owen: (Thinking) An opening!

While Kenya is distracted by arguing with Jacob, Owen sneaks up behind Kenta and puts her into a sleeper hold.

Owen: Give it up! I've got you locked in. Soon, I'll make you pass out if you don't start tapping!

Jacob: That's what you think?

Owen: Huh?

Using her strength, Kenta flips over Owen, lifts him, and slams him on the ground, making him realize his hold on her.

Jacob: Told you so

The slam that he just took made Owen be in so much pain that he could not cry out.

Kenta looks at Jacob and smiles at him with a gentle smile, which he has thumbs up for her.

Zack: Ouch! I think she broke his back.

Jacob: I think so, and Owen underestimate Kenta

Master Stevens: Okay, I think that's enough. Kenta is the winner.

Kenta went to hugs Jacob, making Jacob blush.

Zack: Owen, are you going to be okay?

Owen: Oww!

Zack: Yep, he's going to be okay.

Jacob was blushing deeply as Kenta was holding him close to her.

Zack: Hey, Kenta? How long do you plan on hugging Jacob?

Kenta: Oh, sorry, Jacob.

Jacob: It's okay.

Master Stevens: Zack, can you please take Owen in? I think he needs medical attention.

Zack: Yes, sir.

Zack then picks Owen up and takes him back to HQ.

Master Stevens: Okay, since Owen is out of commission for the time being, plans have slightly changed. I still want to see what I'm dealing with here. So Jacob and Kenta, I want you two to spare.

Jacob: This is going to be fun and interesting

Jacob and Kenta get into position.

Jacob shows a confident expression, but he had used his skills to defeat Kenta. Not strength was only used for stamina.

Kenta tries to punch Jacob, and Jacob Grabs her punch and puts her into a wrist lock. Kenta becomes serious and throws her other punch, but Jacob dodges the punch. Jacob then pins Kenta down to the ground, pins her wrist to her back, and adds more pressure to the wrist lock. Kenta was impressed that Jacob was defeating her. But she wasn't going to lose. Using her strength, Kenta slowly but surely got back up and slowly but surely fought her way out of the hold and put Jacob into a headlock.

Jacob: Man, your incredible, Kenta.

Jacob then did a kip-up to get back up, breaking free from Kenta's hold. Kenta was shocked that Jacob broke free from her hold so easily.

Jacob and Kenta lands punch towards each other as the crater was a small one.

Steve: Oh my, it's getting a bit competitive.

Zack then rushes back to the scene.

Zack: What did I miss?

Master Stevens: Not much, but it is going to get interesting.

Jacob and Kenta fight one another, which he throws a strong punch towards her. Yet she counterattacks back at him, and she couldn't believe Jacob was slowly learning how to use his strength. Jacob then does a dropkick to Kenta, making her fall down. Kenta catches herself with her hand and throws a strong kick at Jacob, but Jacob catches the kick and puts her into an ankle lock. Kenta felt the pain as she slowly starts kicking Jacob. Using a strong kick, Kenta successfully kicks Jacob off, sending him flying a few feet.

Jacob uses his hand to digs into the ground and looks at Kenta with a serious expression. Jacob uses his hand to dig into the ground and looks at Kenta with a serious expression. Before Kenta could stop him, Jacob was now under the ground. Kenta was trying to find Jacob and sneak attacks towards her, which was surprising to her, and Jacob quickly put Kenta into a Boston crab submission hold. Kenta was trying her best to get out of the hold, but Jacob has had a tight lock on the hold.

Master Stevens: Okay, that's enough.

Jacob releases the hold and gives Kenta a hand to help her up. Kenta accepts help and helps her up.

Master Stevens: Well done. Well done indeed. You've shown that you two are very skilled fighters.

Jacob/ Kenta: Thank you, Master Stevens.

Master Stevens: With a bit more polish, you two might become the most powerful fighters in the world.

Jacob: Awesome (Turns and kisses Kenta's cheek softly, and this made her blush)

Master Stevens: Now then, let's go and check how Alice is doing for our meal. I hope, for her sake, her cooking ability is up to my standard.

Meanwhile, Alice was making an amazing lunch for them as she was smiling, but she hopes that her cooking is good for them. When Alice was with her brother, she was left for the cooking part. She was trying to ignore Owen's moaning and groaning due to his sore back.

Alice went to Owen and shoved a spicy apple into his mouth.

Owen: YEOW! (He spits the apple out) What was that for?

Alice: That was a spicy apple.

Owen: I know that, but why did you put that in my mouth?!

Alice: Because your moaning is annoying.

Owen: (In a whining tone) I CAN MOAN IF I WANT TO!

Alice: I wish it were Jacob who was taking care of me.

Owen: Yeah, but who's taking care of me?!

Alice: Nobody.

Owen: Exactly!

Alice shakes her head and begins making the right drinks for everyone.

Jacob: (He and the others enter) We're back.

Alice: Welcome back!

Jacob: Thanks.

Kenta: How's Owen?

Alice: Annoying.

Owen: (In a whining tone) Oh, I'm sorry, were you the one who got your back slammed into the ground?! No, it was ME!

Alice: As I said, annoying!

Katie: I hope you're not going to be whining like this from now on, Owen.

Zack: She's right, no pain, no gain.

Jacob: So, Alice, how's lunch coming along?

Alice: It's coming good, and I hope you like it.

Jacob: I bet it will.

Alice smiles at Jacob as she loves to see him.

Kenta: So, what are we having?

Alice: Chicken sandwiches with coleslaw.

Jacob: Amazing.

Master Stevens: I hope it will be delicious for your sake, Alice.

Alice nods as Jacob begins his sandwich, which tastes lightened to his tastebuds.

Jacob: Wow, Alice... You're going to make an incredible wife for someone.

This made Alice blush hard, and Alice rubs her arm with her hand. Master Stevens then tries a chicken sandwich. Master Stevens tastes amazing in his mouth.

Master Stevens: Holy crap, this is pretty good.

Zack: I guess Jacob found himself a good wife.

Alice & Kenta: ZACK!

Zack: What did I say?

Master Stevens: Well, now, Alice, I do believe you have earned your place here. For that, you are hereby our personal chief for the time being.

Alice: Awesome, and I get to be with Jacob!

Kenta: Don't push your luck!

Later that night, Jacob is seen getting ready for bed.

Jacob: That was a good day for food and training.

Little did Jacob know, Kenta and Alice were planning on sleeping with Jacob, but they would bump into each other once they got to Jacob's door.

Kenta: Alice?! What are you doing here?!

Alice: I should be asking you the same thing!

Kenta: I plan to sleep with Jacob!

Alice: You may as well go back to your room because I was here first.

Kenta: In your dreams! I was here first!

Master Stevens: What is going on here?

Kenta and Alice get scared of Master Stevens.

Master Stevens: Girls, I'm not sure if you've noticed, but it's late at night, and it's time for everyone to go to bed. So if I were you ladies, I would go to your assained rooms!

Kenta/Alice: Yes, sir.

They then ran back to their assained rooms.

Master Stevens: Geese, I sure hope those girls don't hinder Jacob's progress.

The Next Day:

Everyone is sound asleep, but while everyone was sleeping, a loud horn starts going off.

Kenta: Morning Master Stevens (She turns to sees Zack was up but no Alice or Jacob)

Master Stevens: Morning, but where are the others?

Kenta explained that Alice was cooking some breakfast for everyone, and Jacob was training by doing twenty-five push-ups.

Master: Well now, Kenta, can you please get Jacob and Owen down here, please?

Kenta: Yes, Master (She begins looking for Jacob which he was doing push-ups with his right hand behind his back)

Kenta: Um, Jacob?

Jacob: Oh, hey, Kenta.

Kenta: Hi, I just want to let you know that Master Stevens wants to see you in the living room.

Jacob finished his push up and headed over to the living room.

Kenta: Hey, Jacob?

Jacob: Yeah?

Kenta: Um, I'm just curious; how did you get your hair the way it is?

Jacob: What do you mean? My hair has always been like this.

Kenta: How interesting.

As Jacob went to the living room, Kenta went to Owen's room to see Owen still sleeping.

Kenta: Hey, Owen, wake up.

Owen: Wake me up when you grow a pair.

Kenta got angry at this and punched Owen in the head.

Owen: Ow!

Kenta: Wake up! Or do I need to send Master Stevens up here?

Owen: I'm up!

Kenta: Good, hurry up and get dressed and meet us in the living room.

Owen: (Still sounds tired) You got it.

Kenta: I should wake Zack up too while I'm at it.

Meanwhile, Jacob went to see if Alice is doing alright.

Jacob: Hey, Alice.

Alice: Hello there.

Jacob: So what are you making for breakfast today?

Alice: Scramble eggs.

Jacob: Scramble Eggs? What's that?

Alice: Come here, and I will feed you.

Jacob: Okay.

Alice feeds a scrambled egg to Jacob and eats it which Master Stevens was only smiling at them because they seem like a married couple.

Master Stevens: By the way, where is Zack?

Jacob and Alice become surprised.

Zack: Here I am.

Zack, Kenta, and Owen both came downstairs to meet Master Stevens.

Master Stevens: Ah, there you kids are.

Owen: (Still half asleep) Master Stevens, why did you wake us up? It's five o'clock in the morning.

Master Stevens: Before you kids have breakfast, we are going to have a jog.

Owen: What?! But the sun isn't even out yet. It's still cold outside.

Master Stevens: Then, perhaps the cool air will wake you up.

Owen: Yes, master.

Master Stevens: Now then, let's move out!

Owen and Master Stevens walk out of the house.

Master Stevens: Okay, kids, follow me.

Jacob went with his master and walked to Alice.

Jacob: See you later, Alice.

Alice waves back at Jacob.

The group begins their morning jog, all while Owen was complaining about how cold it was outside.

Owen: (Shivering) Holy crap! It's freezing out here!

Jacob: What are you talking about? It's not cold out.

Owen: are you telling me that you don't find it a little bit cold out here?!

Jacob: Nope.

Kenta: That's probably because you spent your whole life living outdoors. Your body has probably gained a huge resistance to cold temperatures.

Jacob: Awesome!

Zack: (To Owen) I'm guessing you never got out much, did you?

Owen: There was no need to. We had everything we needed at the temple. We slept at the temple, we trained at the temple, ate at the temple, and bathed in the temple. The only time we ever left the temple was to get supplies.

Zack: No wonder. Your body hasn't been exposed to the outside enough to get resistant to the weather.

Kenta: But if you had everything you ever needed at the temple, why did you leave?

Owen: I... I had my reasons.

Jacob: Is it because you're short?

Owen: That's not that! I mean, it didn't help, but my height wasn't the main reason.

Zack: Then what was the reason?

Owen: Look, it's none of your business to know, okay! The reason why I left is my business and my business alone!

Kenta: Why can't you just tell us? We're going to be together for the time being.

Jacob: Yeah, we're all friends here, aren't we?

Owen: Just because we're all living under the same roof doesn't mean we're friends.

Jacob: Well, you're lost because I will do anything to protect and help my friends.

Owen: That's good for you, but once again, I need to remind you... WE'RE NOT FRIENDS!

Kenta: Who says we are going to remain your friend, Jacob. (She ignores Owen)

Jacob: Thanks, Kenta.

Alice: Don't forget me too.

Zack: Alice, what are you doing here?

Kenta: Shouldn't you be back at HQ, making breakfast?

Alice: Oh, breakfast is ready!

Jacob: Oh, yay!

Zack: Hey, Grandpa, breakfast is ready.

Master Stevens: Let's go and see our master chief at work.

Everyone: Right!

Alice made scrambled eggs, bacon, and toasts for everyone. But because she was feeding six people, plus herself, the amount of food she made was tremendous.

Jacob enjoys the food as always.

Alice: So, how is breakfast?

Jacob: Amazing as ever!

Owen: It's okay. (Kenta pushed Owen in the back of the way head) Ow!

Kenta: (Thinking) I believe I'll have to start making good meals for Jacob too. I don't want to lose to Alice.

Soon Katie came down, still half asleep.

Master Stevens: Ah, Katie, you took your sweet time getting down here.

Katie: Sorry.

Master Stevens: Hey Alice, did you cook some extra for Katie?

Alice: Of course.

Alice then went to the kitchen to get Katie's share.

Katie: Thanks, Alice.

Alice: No problem.

Master Stevens: Okay, kids, hurry up and eat up so we can move on to phase two of your training.

Everyone: Yes, Master!

After everyone finished eating breakfast, the group started heading out.

Owen: By the way, why are Katie and Zack coming along?

Master Stevens: They are here to foresee my training exercises and make sure that you do them.

Zack doesn't say or look at Katie, which was weird. Maybe Zack was focused on the training.

Katie: I still don't understand why you had to wake us up at five in the morning.

Zack keeps quiet, and he was more focused on developing a new technique that he was deep in his thoughts at the moment.

Soon Master Stevens and co arrived at a large tree.

Master Stevens: I wonder, is it still here after all this time?

Owen: What? The tree?

Master Stevens: No, what's underneath it.

Jacob went to see what was underneath the tree.

Master Stevens: Okay, you three, I want you to dig a hole near this tree.

Jacob nods at the command. Jacob, Kenta, and Owen began to dig a hole near the tree until they felt something solid.

Jacob: Hey, I think I found something.

Jacob undercover a black t-shirt, but it weighed a ton.

Jacob: Huh? What's this?

Master Stevens: Your next part of the training.

Soon, Jacob, Kenta, and Owen started pulling out weighted t-shirts but had difficulty.

Owen: Holy crap, these shirts weigh a ton!

Jacob: Amazing!

Master: From this point forward, you three will be wearing those shirts for the next year until the tournament.

Owen: What?! But they weigh a tone.

Jacob and Kenta were putting the clothes on.

Jacob took his shirt off to wear the weighted shirt, while Kenta wore the weighed shirt over her existing one for obvious reasons.

Master Stevens: Well, Owen, we're waiting.

Owen: Fine

Owen then began to put on the shirt. Jacob and Kenta felt heavy, which they were getting used to it.

Jacob: Woah, it's hard to keep your balance.

Kenta helps Jacob keep his balance and her own.

Owen: And it's hard to walk in this thing!

Master Stevens: You three will get used to it. Zack and Katie and to wear those same shirts during their training.

Jacob: Thank you, Kenta.

Kenta: No problem.

Jacob smiles at Kenta as both were enjoying their company.

Owen: How are we supposed to train in this?! I can barely move!

Zack: Oh, stop your bellyaching.

Master Stevens: As I said, Owen, I told you that my training wasn't easy. Either accept it or leave.

Owen: (Feeling defeated) Yes, sir.

Zack tells Jacob and Kenta how to stand on their feet.

For the rest of the day, Jacob, Kenta, and Owen would spend the rest of the day training while wearing the weighted shirts, much to Owen's dismay, which he did nothing but complain. Zack even told Owen that if he's going to do nothing but complain about the training, he may as well leave.

Later that night, Jacob is seen getting ready for bed, but as he was getting ready for bed, he saw Owen through his window that Owen was walking out of the shed. Curious about why Owen was not getting ready for bed, he follows Owen.

After following Owen, which led him to the island's beachside, Owen is seen pulling out his wooden boat. He was planning on leaving the island. That is until Jacob spoke up.

Jacob: Owen?

Owen: (Gets startled and turns around to face Jacob) Jacob?! What are you doing here?!

Jacob: I should be asking you the same thing. It's time for us to go to bed, and yet you leave.

Owen: Then, why did you follow me if you think bedtime is so important?!

Jacob: Because I want to know why you're out.

Owen looks down at the ground and begins thinking about what to tell Jacob.

Owen: (He sighs) Fine, you want to know so much, I'm leaving.

Jacob: What?! Why?!

Owen: Because... Because training with Master Stevens wasn't what I thought it would be. I thought I would actually be learning something from his teachings, unlike Niro Temple.

Jacob: What? Are you saying that you were taught nothing during your time there?

Owen: (He sighs) No, I wasn't. Even though I was born and raised there, I wasn't taught martial arts like all the other monks born there. I was constantly used as an example.

Jacob: Used as an example?

Owen: Yes. Because I'm much shorter than the average teenager, I was constantly used as a punching bag; the master of the Temple used me as a punching bag during lessons. He also encouraged other monks to use me as a punching bag because I was short. I tried telling everyone that my being shorter than everyone else doesn't affect my martial artist skills, but they just laughed at me. The master of the Temple even told me that I didn't amount to anything. he said that my sole purpose in life was the temple's punching bag. That's when I realized my days at Niro Temple were numbered. So, I left and tracked down Master Stevens, hoping that he would teach me proper martial arts. But, I quickly learned that his training wasn't what I thought it would be.

Jacob: What do you mean it wasn't what you thought it would be? You didn't think his training would be tough?

Owen: It's not what I thought it would be, but why are you still going at it? Why are you still here, despite how the training is?!

Jacob: Because it's a challenge.

Owen: That's it? You're only staying because it's a challenge?

Jacob: No, it's more than that. Before my grandpa died, he told me something that stuck with me. He once told me that sometimes, life would throw you challenges. Sometimes, life will throw a wall at you, preventing you from achieving what you want in life. If you encounter this wall, you have two choices, either turn around and walk away, abandoning your hopes and dreams? Or, you take the wall head-on, break free from that wall to reach where you want to go. If you just turn tail and walk away each time a challenge is thrown at you, you'll never grow as a person. Do you really want to end up growing up becoming a scary cat and run away each time you encounter a wall, preventing you from where you want to go? Is that want you really want, Owen? Running away each time a challenge is thrown at you? (Owen looks down at the ground again which parts of him wanted to leave, but he did kind of understand the point Jacob was trying to make) Besides, you said it yourself that your previous master told you that you didn't amount to anything, right? So, don't you think that if you leave here now, you'll just be proving him, right?

This shocks Owen; he never really thought of this. Since he left the temple for Master Stevens's teachings, all he wanted was to prove his old Master wrong. However, since he has been here, he has been doing the complete opposite. This is something that Owen needed to hear.

Owen: I... I never realized that... I left the temple for Master Stevens to prove my old Master wrong that I wasn't useless. But since I've been here, I've been doing the complete opposite. This whole time, I've been proving my old Master right without even realizing it.

Jacob: It's up to you what you want to do.

Jacob then leaves Owen, leaving him to his thoughts. Owen went to sit down and thinks about what Jacob told him.

Owen: (Thinking) Maybe Jacob is right. Maybe I shouldn't run away. I definitely don't want to turn tail and run away each time challenge is presented to me. Maybe, it's about time I get serious and stop complaining over everything.

Owen: (Runs up to Jacob) Yo, Jacob!

Jacob: (Turns around and faces Owen) What is it?

Owen: I want to thank you. I want to thank you for telling me what I needed to hear.

Jacob: It's no problem, but if you stay, then we are rivals, Owen.

Owen: I don't mind that. Besides, having a rival will drive me to keep me on my toes.

Jacob and Owen share a fist bump.

With that said, they head back inside. The next morning, Owen would continue his training without moaning and complaining, which caught everyone but Jacob off guard, but they didn't say anything about it. This would keep up until the day of the Martial Arts Tournament. But, that's another chapter, for another time.

To Be Continued...
