Chapter five

Harry once he entered the Veil felt like his world was spinning around him more rapidly than he had ever experienced before. Honestly what he imagined being inside a washing machine may have felt like; that or at the end of a spinning yo-yo. Not to mention feeling as if he was quite literally being pulled in multiple directions at once.

Making this trip through the veil feel worse than any magical transportation Harry had ever been through; even a porkey or apperation. Which quite literally before this moment, Harry had thought was some of the worse ways of transport there could be. And that wasn't only because of the memories tied to said ways of transportations.

But when it came to those way of transportation at least even with how uncomfortable they were they seemed to end rather quickly; with the longest one Harry had been through lasting only a couple of seconds.

Which was completely unlike the trip Harry was going through the veil, as it seemed to be taking ages. Making Harry wonder just why his mother hadn't mentioned that bit in her letter, as it was rather memorable; in an oh my god I will never do this again sort of way.

Or at least that is what Harry was thinking when the veil suddenly stopped what it was doing, in what felt like midspan if he was to be truthful. Then before he could realize just what had happened Harry was left with the feeling he was quite literally being spat out by something. Before all he could see was the sky around him and the ocean below him. An ocean that was closing in very quickly.

Eyes wide in disbelieve, mostly about the fact where he had appeared after the veil was done with, Harry did as he had been trained to, and immediately reacted the best he could to the danger that he was currently in. Because Harry knew that there would be some serious damage done to him, even possible death, by hitting the waters at the speeds he was now fall in; and that isn't to say what dangers whatever creatures may lay underneath said waters could cause him either.

Still with the dangers of the closing in water, and with the wind whipping by his face, Harry quickly transforming into his Pygmy dragon Animagus form. Doing so just in time to pull up and just barely avoid grazing the water as he did so. While at the same time, as he began to fly off, casting several notice-me-not spells on himself.

Something Harry did to ensure no one saw the horse size dragon flying above the ocean. As Harry wasn't sure what type of reaction that would bring and if he was honest with himself, he really didn't want to find out either.

Not when for the time being Harry really just wanted completely overlooked and ignored by others; wanted to spend time as Just Harry. Like he had claimed to be for so long. If only so Harry could find out who Just Harry was without anyone human, goblin or otherwise having their input on that.

Harry was sure how long he had been flying as honestly dragon, pygmy or not, didn't have the best sense of time and that was something that did affect him while he was in his Animagus form. But he was sure it hadn't honestly been that long when he saw an island come into view. An Island that looked to have both a forest in it as well as a port of sorts; something Harry took notice of as he got closer to the island in question.

Seeing this Harry's mind began to think of several different plans, starting with the fact he could go into the forest, before shifting back and heading into the town he could see on the island in question. Before then trying to find out as much information as he could about the world he landed in.

As, as much as he loved her and how he pretty much jumped at the chance he was given because of the letter his mother had written him, there really hadn't been a lot of information in it. Not when it came to not only surviving but thriving in the world he was now in.

But at the same time, Harry knew doing so could open him up to whatever dangers would be in that forest. As he had no idea what kind of creatures could call that place their home. Not to mention he had no idea if his magic affects them or if they had skin like dragons or other such creatures that was resistant to magic as well as most weapons. So, going through the forest might not be the safest idea.

Then Harry had another idea about how to appear or at least make it look like he belonged on the island in question. As it seemed the port in question appeared to be rather busy. And Harry also knew that was under powerful notice me not spells at the moment.

So, he could land off in a section no one was at or really around, before shifting back to his human form and blending in the crowd while slowly releasing the notice me not spells at the same time. Which would make him blend into the crowd but not be too unnoticeable people would run right into him not realizing he was there.

With the plus side of this particular plan, being the fact he could hear the rumors going around him and get a head start on his information gathering. While on the other hand, the dangers were the fact that those that were extremely observant might question how he appeared where he did or even worse notice him seemingly appearing out of nowhere.

Harry seeing the island he was planning on land was closing in fast knew he had to make a choice in what he was going to do. Was he going to go into the forest and risk the animals that may be there? Or was he going with his Port idea and risk the chance someone extremely observant might notice him?

Harry pondering on this for a second or so before decided that he was going to go with the port idea. As he had a better chance of not only getting information but safely blend in with the other. While at the same time having the least amount of risk.

As he figured going into a forest without knowing what was in it, could be similar to going into the forbidden forest without a wand or any idea how to defend yourself be it by magic or otherwise. Something that wasn't the smartest idea if you had any choice otherwise.

That in mind Harry dove down from the air he was in, into a shadowed part of the port, nearby what looked to be a merchant ship of some sort anchored down. A ship that now that he looked seemed to be emptied out.

Seeing this Harry had to smirk, that worked out well for him or at least with his plan. Something that was proven when Harry quickly shifted into his human form and joined in with the other merchants that were coming off of the ship. Slowly but carefully removing the spells that were on him, while avoiding bumping into any others as he was doing so.

Harry continued to do this until all the spells were removed and Harry was lost in the crowd of people heading towards the town. It seemed that for the time being luck was on Harry side. As it seemed he had arrived just at a busy time in the town and his arrive was completely unnoticed by anyone else.

Because of this, Harry was able to quickly find quite a bit of information from the people around him. Both from listening in on as they spoke and by using the skills in Legilimency that the goblins had drilled into his head; right alongside the Occlumency he was made to learn.

Something that, considering it could very well be a life or death matter, Harry didn't feel that guilty about using. Besides it wasn't like he was digging into personal matters or using the information he gained to hurt anyone; only help himself more than he would have been able to do otherwise. And considering just what he learned by doing this Harry wasn't sure he ever was going to regret doing so either.

With the first being the most basic information he wanted to look for, where he was currently at. And by doing this Harry got a lot more information than he had original thought he was going to get when he first went searching for his answer.

As Harry was able to find out he had appeared to be in a place called the East Blue. Which apparently or apparently considering the memories he had gotten this information from, was the weakest area in this world, but at the same time in considered one of the safer areas as well.

If only because of the fact that the pirates who are considering great or threatening in this area of the sea are actually regarded as weak in the other seas. Especially those in someplace called the Grand Line; which if the memories were correct was also another area of the ocean.

These seas were apparently called the East Blue, where Harry currently was, the West Blue, the North Blue, the South Blue and lastly, and what seemed to take Harry the longest to find out, the Red Line. Which Harry actually found was pretty close to the island he was currently on. Or at least it was in comparison to some of the other places Harry had heard mentioned.

Speaking of the island Harry was on, he found that the town, or city really, he was on was called Loguetown and the island it was in was called the Polestar islands. It was also known as, the town of the beginning and the end, because apparently the former pirate king Gol D. Rogers was both born and executed there.

Which was bit of history that both fascinated and made Harry weary about the place in question. If only because of how big it seemed the execution of the pirate king was, but until he found out more information on both this pirate king, as well as the Marines his mother had spoken about in her letter to him, he wouldn't judge any more about that particular fact.

But on the flip side and as a bonus for the plans that Harry was currently thinking of putting into action. Plans that if he was honest with himself, he had been thinking about before he had even gone through the veil to begin with. Harry had found out that Loguetown was certainly a very busy area and not just when he came into it.

As this island was a place that all East Blue ships, even those of pirates and marines, stop in to stock up on supplies before they go to the Grand Line. Most likely because of the location as it was very conveniently located very close to some place called the reverse mountain.

Which something where its very name made Harry want to figure out what it was or what was going on with it. Along with another place that was just north of the island called the Calm Belt.

But at the same time knew that he had to put those thoughts, and wishes to explore the world itself more, on hold. At least until he could get more information, find a safe location to stay in, as well as see just how his skills ranked in the world he was now going to call his home.

Though when it came to his plans, Harry was sure he had at least one of those covered. Not only that but possible two as well. As he was pretty sure he was going to make this place his home, and not only that but he was also sure it would be the best place to get the information he wanted as well.

Not only because of how busy it was and how easily he'd be able to put his plans into action, but because he could do so while being relatively unnoticeable as well. Not to mention and as a bit of self-indulgence Harry was pretty sure he also wanted to stay there as well because the weather.

Which was rather nice, as from the memories as well as from the gossip he got from the others around him, the place in question was normally bright sunny with the occasional partly cloudy day. Which considering the amount of rain he usually dealt with Harry really wanted some nice sun for a change.

Harry hadn't only found information about the area around him, along with a smaller deal about the outside world as well. He had also gotten information about the marines and pirates his mother had spoken about in her letter to him.

What he found out was that when it came to Marines and Pirates these seemed to be the main powers in this world. Or at least from what he had found out so far, they were; though Harry felt that there was more. There had to be given some of the thoughts he had heard.

He also found out that when it came to the Marines and Pirates, they weren't for the most part anything like what he knew of in his world. Nor were they, like a lot of things, as black and white as they may seem.

Marines weren't all good like they seemed to like to pretend to be; or like how a lot of people seemed to see them as. Because there were apparently some really corrupt ones out there.

While on the other hand not all Pirates where bad as the Marines seemed to make them out to be. As apparently some were only pirates for the sheer freedom that it offered them. Something that Harry honestly could get behind considering what he had done to get his own freedom.

Unfortunately, at the same time, while he was able to find out all of this information, and had even gotten what felt like a good start on his plans on what he was going to do now that he had gone through the veil, or at least until he made further plans, Harry was unable to find any information about his father.

Except at lot of the things he already knew or could have guessed by the information he had already had. Starting with the fact that he was still apparently considered the world's greatest swordsman. Which since he had only been a very few years since his mother had mentioned it he hadn't expected too big a change in that regrade; at least not yet that is.

Not to mention, and this was a bit of information Harry hadn't known or guessed about, apparently was one of something called the Seven Warlords of the sea or as most seemed to know them the Seven Warlords. Which were apparently a group of seven powerful, as well as Notorious pirates, that were allied to the World Government. Apparently, this group was one of the three great powers that are supposed to keep the world in Balance.

All of this being information Harry had managed to get off one of the drunk Marines he had run into. Something that had also given Harry the information he had on pirates as well as other Marines.

And something that had Harry very tempted to see if magic worked as well on people here as it did in his old world as the Marine in question was very persistent and didn't seem to take not interested all too well. Or at least he hadn't until he ended up passing out with Harry simply leaving where he lied as he wasn't able to bring himself to care about the Marine in question.

At the same time, he had also found out that his father seemed to be the opposite of something called the Yonko. Which were apparently also called the Four Emperors, which in turn seemed to be the name of the four most Notorious and powerful Pirate captains in the world. Ones that were not allied with the World government but at the same time made another third of the Great Powers.

Still Harry was rather upset about the fact he couldn't find any more information about his father, but at the same time kind of expected it. After all, he had just gotten there and there was still a lot more that he needed to do.

As after many grueling lessons Harry had finally learned the importance of planning and the necessary for patients while under the Goblins. Which meant that before he could go out searching for his father, he needed to have at the very least an outline of what he was doing to do first.

Now for the time being Harry had decided that he was going to put the plans he had in mind into action. And while he was doing that, he would also be doing his best to find out if he can get the information he wanted.

As honestly there really wasn't much, he could do now. At least not if he didn't want to bring too much unwanted attention towards himself that is. Which would mess up his plans on keeping his freedom or even his life for that matter.

Harry had now been in this new world, and on the island, he had first found once he had been spat out by the Veil, for several months now; almost a year now really. Since then a lot had happened and yet despite that he wasn't any closer to finding his father than he had been when he had first arrived.

Though Harry wasn't as disappointed in this, as he had originally thought he would have been. Most likely for several different reasons, one being the fact he had succeeded in a lot of what else he had planned, so the failure in regards to one things wasn't so bad.

Then there was the fact that Harry never really had much of a father before. And had grown up twice not really having or needed one. So not being able to find his actual father, while it bugged him something fierce at times, didn't really hurt him.

After all, you can't really know what you've lost if you never had something like it to begin with right? Or at least that was what Harry told himself when the fact he could find information or the location of his father was beginning to bug him.

Still when it came to what he had managed to succeed in. The biggest on being the fact that he had gotten the shop idea, the one he had before he left through the veil in the first place, not to mention the one he had actually packed for in the chance he could get it up, up and running. Something he had gotten done quicker that he had originally thought he would have; only taking a week or two to get everything settled.

Something Harry had done as soon as possible as he had figured if he was going to live on an island and in a city that was a major port he might as well take full advantage of it.

Not just with the opportunity to sale things but also have multiple different people come in as a chance for information as well. He felt that if he had done otherwise he would be doing his previously trainers a majority disserves as Goblins really were business minded creatures after all.

The shop in question was more of a joint shop or at the very least a shop that worked aside another one. As Harry had originally planned for his shop to be one that would sale several different things at once.

One of them being his potions, or herbal remedies as others would know them as. Potions that were mainly geared towards healing such as, blood replenishers, bone repairing and fever reducers. Then there were the other potions such as minor truth potions, mild luck potions, hair growth potions, hang over potions along with cleansing potions. With funnily enough the hangover potion being the one that was the most popular out of all of them.

Along with the potions in his shop, Harry also had the battle like clothing he had wanted to make from the beginning. Be it made from the Dragon hide he had, the Basilisk hide he had, or from the Acromantula silk he had brought with him.

As making clothing out of those three had been something Harry had decided to learn as a hobby. One because he had thought about selling them during his training and two because Harry really liked the idea of making his own clothing as he would always remember having to wear his cousin hand-me-downs all while growing up.

Besides the clothing in question was amazingly helpful in a world like this. As the world in question seemed to be one based around fighting in one way or another. As all of the clothing in question would shield against both blunt attacks as well as cutting attacks; all of which were common.

So, having cloths that helped with that, that actually looked good, where extremely light weight and didn't actual look like amour was always something that was sought after. Or it all was, once Harry had managed to prove it work via an example inside the shop.

The last thing Harry had added to his shop, and one of the reasons why his shop ended up being a joint one, was the weapons he made and crafted runes into. The goblin styled weapons he had been honored to learn from those who had trained him.

But at the same time, back when he had first thought of doing a shop with all three of these things in them, he found that there was already a really popular weapons shop in town.

Harry rather than try to compete with them, as he really wasn't a hundred precent sure he wanted to stay a shop owner or blade maker, had gone to the other weapon shop with one of the blades he had made; along with his potions and clothing.

Before posing the ideas of supplying his weapons as well as other items to the shop to sale. With the shop getting a certain percentage of what he sold in return for partial ownership of the shop to sale his things in.

There had been a lot of haggling but in the end the shop owner Ipponmatsu, and his wife, an equally fierce woman named Ipponume, agreed to what he suggest. Ending with the couple in question getting thirty percent of what Harry made; mostly because Harry was using their shop in the first place.

Something they agreed with in the end mainly because they too didn't want the competition that Harry would give them and they could tell that Harry's wears, blades or otherwise, were something that would give them competitions. Besides the weapons Harry made, the potions, as well as clothing, had all brought enough income there had been no complaining about the fact they were sharing a shop.

Nor were they complaining about the fact that Harry ended up adding even more weapons to their stock. As along with the antique swords, clubs aces, flintlock, rifles armor, daggers as well as spears that they had been selling before Harry added Bladed fans, Twin blades, Shuiken, Senbon needles, Katanas, Kunim, giant Shuriken, Ulfbehrt Swords, Blades whips, and even giant two hand Broadswords. Giving the shop in question and even larger variety and customer base then it had before.

All of said weapons also had runes carved into them that empowered all of them in different way. What runes depended on what Harry wanted that particular weapon to do or feel like.

Like some of them made the weapon in question feather light, returned to their owner no matter what, or even repaired itself with freely given energy. Or like in the case of his own personal weapons unbreakable, able to use them as a wand and even manipulate the elements when it came to his twin bladed fan. Something he would most likely repeat in later weapons he made.

Not only that but Harry had also worked in a blade repair, and sharping station to the polishing jobs that they couple add before. Which again started to bring in even more customers and income then what the shop had before.

All and all what Harry had done back then had worked out for all of them. Harry had a place he could sale things in and get information from at the same time. And the shop owner he worked with had more things to sale that made him more money then he had before; while not really loosing anything in return for it.

So yes, it worked out even if Harry didn't always get along with the shop owner in question. Only really being able to spend so much time around him before leaving siting he need to go get some work done; even if that wasn't always the truth.

When it came to getting information Harry while not being able to find about his father, he had gotten a good deal of information about the world he was in. Information that made it so now he wouldn't stand too much because of a lack of knowledge; like he would have otherwise.

Though at the same time even as he had gained all of this information, he did find out that there seemed to be some people, mostly Marines or Pirates, that seemed to almost sense the legilimency that he had done on them. So, because of this Harry had ended up being a lot more carful when he was doing his Legilimency; as a just in case.

And of course, during all of this, no matter what, Harry had also continued on the training he had been doing before he went through the veil. As one he did want to keep up his strength as well as improve it beyond what it originally was. As Harry had heard of how strong some of the people in this world was and wasn't going to but his survival at risk because he felt he strong enough. As everyone knows it never is, as there is always someone much stronger than you out there.

Not to mention he honestly felt that one way or another the Goblins would find out if he didn't and would somehow get there to punish him for not doing so. As even another world away the Goblins wouldn't let anyone insult their training.

Still it was because of the fact that he continued his training that Harry found that he was strong in this world, as well as skilled. Enough so that a nearby Marine who had happened upon him training thought he was either a Marine himself. Which upon finding that he wasn't, nor was he a Pirate, offered him a place in the Marine. Telling Harry clearly that with the skills he had, he would shoot up the ranks no problem.

Fortunately, for Harry he had his magic and was able to clearly erase the memory of him from said Marine. Otherwise Harry felt he might be in a good spot of trouble because from the way the Marine had worded his request for him to join the Marines, it really hadn't been such a request. More of a join the Marines or be accused of being a Pirate and thus arrested.

So yes, after that encounter Harry was more careful about when or where he trained but he still did it. But besides that, little bump, along with a couple of others, was honestly really enjoying himself for once.

However, at the same time Harry couldn't get rid of the nagging sensation that something big was going to happen soon and his still unfound father or someone close to him was going to be the center off it. Dragging Harry right along with it.
