Chapter I
Long ago, before the land and the sea and the skys, there was but one face of nature in the entire universe. A face they called Chaos. It was a rough and uneven mass in which there was nothing except idle weight. Not a single Titan or Olympian. The earth didn't hang in the surrounding air. There was nothing but Chaos until some of the matter collected to form Gaea, Protogenous of Earth and The Mother of All. She was the first to form from Chaos and eventually started the whole damn thing.
Soon after Gaea, Taturus, Nyx and Ouranos were all born from Chaos. Ouranos soon married his sister Gaea and with that the Earth and the Sky were born and soon enough gave birth to The Ourae, the rustic domains and the mountains. Eventually Gaea and Ouranous would soon give birth to three sets of children together namely the Titans, Elder Cyclops and the Hekatonkheires. Gaea loved each and everyone one of her children while her husband resented them. And despite Gaea's protest, Ouranos took the Cyclops and the Hekatonkheires and bonded them to send them to the depths of Tartarus..
Feeling a sense of anger at her husband's actions and presented her remaining children, The Titans with a newly forged Scythe. All of the titans but one were against killing their father although they all hated him but the one who stepped up to plate to perform the task. The youngest and most power-hungry of them all, Kronos, The Titan of Time, Eras, Evil and Harvest. Kronos struck down his father but not before his father put a curse on him. A curse ruling that his children would overthrow him just like he was doing to his father. And so Kronos became the Lord of the Universe and The King of the Titans.
Kronos married his sister, Gaea's favorite daughter, Rhea. The two had five godly children which Kronos promptly swallowed each child after birth fearing that his father, Ouranos' prophecy would be true. And while Rhea was pregnant with her sixth child, she was advised by Gaea to go to Crete and deliver her child there. She named her child Zeus and left his child hidden away in a cave away from Kronos. Rhea returned back to Mount Othrys and gave her husband a stone covered in cloth, making him believe it was their youngest child.
Once Zeus became older, he returned to Mount Othrys with one goal in mind. Free his brothers and sisters. So he did. Zeus managed to get in a titanic form and go to Mount Othrys and was appointed as Kronos' cupbearer. Zeus managed to get The Titan Lord to trust him which would prove to be his ultimate mistake. Zeus had gotten his brothers and sister freed in order from Poseidon followed by Hades, Hera, Demeter and Hestia. They became the Gods. And a war began between Titans and Gods that lasted 11 years with the Gods winning and banishing the remaining Titans to the depths of Tartarus . The Gods ruled letting their own emotions get the best of them and going around doing what they want when they want. Including creating children with that would become known as Half-Bloods. Most of those Half-Bloods went on to become great heroes, legends. And hell, some of them have become even better than heroes.
But this is the story of how one of Half-Bloods became the greatest hero of them all.
Brisbane, Australia
Have you ever been forced to do something you do want to do? Or be something you don't want to be. Like your mum or dad forcing you to go to school or hell both if you're lucky. Or like your mum making you go to family dinner with siblings that you hate. Or having to play a sport that you don't like. All of those examples have nothing on me or my life.
Unfortunately for me, I'm a bit of a freak. An outcast because of the weird things that I can do. An outcast because of the weird abilities he had. What kind of things you may be asking? Being able to lift weights that a normal human could never do, being able to move at incredible speeds that a normal human could never move at, being able to withstand damage that most humans couldn't and various other abilities that he just couldn't explain. I was just different.
Then of course, my looks always garnered a few jokes. My long blond hair that seemed to reach the middle of my back earned me the nickname Goldie Locks. My piercing electric blue eyes weren't that bad. My chiseled chin with a cleft in my chin. But most of the jokes seemingly stopped once I hit the age of 13 and I started growing. At my age ,15, my height was rather impressive standing at 6'4 and being built as if I were chiseled out of stone with my tanned skin. Girls would be attracted to me until they saw my abilities. You would think a girl would want a boyfriend who could lift up a car with his bare hands but they don't.
My mother, Jane. Jane White. She always preached to me that my strengths were a gift. A gift I should use wisely. She was right but I would never give her the satisfaction of being right. It was just something I did as a son. She was my rock. The reason I am who I am today. She worked her ass off to take care of me, working night shifts as a nurse. Then coming home to make sure I had breakfast and that I was able to go off to school. I sometimes wonder when she sleeps. She's been so supportive of me recently, I decided to drop out of school. Why you may ask? Was it too hard? Was I getting in trouble a lot? No, it was rather easy for me but I decided I would simply drop out and take my GED test which I did and I passed. I felt that I was wasting my time and I could've been doing something else.
Something actually worth it. Something actually worth my time.
BOOM!
That was the sound of my body hitting a hard-canvas. I gritted my teeth as I felt the pain writhing in my body. I crawled towards the ropes and used them to pull myself up, staring across a ring at a tall man with short black hair. He was probably a bit taller than me and a bit bulkier but you know what they say: "The bigger they are, the harder they fall".
"You ready to continue?" A man in a long sleeve black shirt wearing black gloves. He was the referee making sure that we don't kill each other in this fight. I turned my head looking at the crowd in this small rinky dink facility. I nodded as he motioned for us to continue.
The man walked towards me with his hands up. He was strong. Very strong. He was able to hit me with a few jabs and hooks to the abdomen taking me down. While he was strong, he was slow which would lead to his downfall.
He walked towards me going for a right hook but I was given enough time to duck under it and hit him with a left to ribs making him stumble back a bit. I smirked as he growled walking towards me again. He went for a left hook but I ducked under it and he went for a right looking to take me down again but I ducked it hitting him with two quick jabs to the gut making him stumble again. I clocked him with a right and left hook making him stumble back again. I winded my fist up looking at him before I clocked him with an uppercut. But the odd thing is my fist while it was balled up, looked as if it had a small jolt of electricity running through it.
The man fell back on his back staring up at the lights knocked out from the blow from me. I looked at my fist with a puzzled look in my eyes while some of the fans in the venue were cheering and some were booing. The ones booing probably were the one who bet on the big guy and lost but hey that's life. You win some and you lose some unless you were me in this underground bare-knuckle fighting business. I was undefeated. I used my abilities in the ring and no one ever noticed. Because I was as big as I was, I often got mistaken for an older guy and because they don't check for IDs or verify anything here, I'm one of the lucky ones who can fit in with the adults here.
What happened at the end of this fight had never happened to me before. I don't know what the hell happened to me. But I was gonna find out. Find out very soon.
"Here is your winner: Nicholas White!" An announcer inside the venue said as the referee raised my hand in the air while I kept my gaze locked on my fist clenching it with a puzzled look as another small jolt of electricity trickled through my hand. I looked up, looking amongst the crowd.
An hour or so had passed and the time was now 11:42 which meant my mum should be at work by now. I told her I was gonna be at home just relaxing like usual watching TV and that's what I've been telling her just about everyday for the past two months. And she believed me , yeah sure it was risky lying to my mother but if I told her what I was actually doing, she would never let me out of the house. I've made just about 2500$ every night fighting and have never lost a fight yet.
I used the money to help pay some of the bills at home. My plan was to save enough money to eventually move to the US and try to find purpose. Something I feel I can't find here.
I walked out of the building, walking to my burgundy 1998 Ford F-150. It was a fixer-upper but it did what it was supposed to do. Get me from point A to point B. I grabbed my keys from outside of my pocket looking to unlock my car but the keys flew out of my hands once I felt a sharp pain in my side getting hit from the side with a car. I dropped my backpack and dropped down to my knees as a group of men exited the car that hit me with one of them carrying a baseball bat.
"Shit." I cursed in pain as I rose up to my feet looking at the guys who hit me with their car. I recognized one of them. He was the guy that I beat earlier.
"You fought the wrong day to fight today. I bet a lot of money on myself tonight and you cost me everything!" He said with gritted teeth.
"It's not my fault, you couldn't cut it and lost."
"Yeah, but you're the reason we lost money. And we're getting that back one way or another." The big guy said pointing towards his friends. Loud cracks of thunder came from the sky making me look up puzzled but soon set my gaze upon the men in front of me.
"If it is a fight you seek, then it's a fight you shall get." I smirked, taking off the brown leather jacket I wore and throwing it off to the side. One of the guys walked towards me looking to hit me with a left hook, I quickly dodged it hitting him with a shot to his exposed ribs. Another one came running towards me looking for a left hook. He was a bit faster than his partner because right after he swung with the left, he swung with the right but I ducked it, clocking him a quick jab while another came running towards me not giving me time to react. He came in with a switchblade swinging it at my abdomen, I luckily had the instincts to back up a bit. He swung again looking to slice me. I felt a pair of hands grab me by my shoulders from behind and basically put me in a full nelson. This allowed the man with his switchblade to stab me in my side. I screamed out in pain as I dropped down to my knees in pain clutching my side. I put my hands on my wound applying pressure to my wound. I took a hand off of my wound seeing my hand damn near painted with blood.
I looked up seeing the guy I beat earlier walking towards me with his baseball bat. He started laughing looking at me with a smirk before he swung his bat clocking me in the face. I fell back looking up at the sky. But it seems like they weren't done, they all started to stomp down on me, on my body. I was in so much pain. My body was writhing in pain, I was bleeding pretty bad. Everything was starting to fade to black. The last thing I remember seeing before I blacked out was lightning. Lightning in the sky.
A/N: Alright well that's it for this chapter and yes I did use the prologue that I used for my story, Champion of the Sea but it's a good prologue that I feel could add to the story of this one. I might actually use Wade in this one and just have this one basically be both their story or just write Wade in his own story, haven't decided yet but we'll figure it out. Also I don't know if this one is gonna be an SYOC or not like I usually do, I'll figure that one out soon.
Until Next Time!
