Raging Demon Reaper

Disclaimer: I don't own Grim Tales.

Guest- Harem yes, but I don't think I'll be doing any large timeskips. Mandy being cinterested is fairly likely, but they have issues at the moment.

carwash36- Not sure how long the wait on that will be.

Aros001- Glad you enjoyed it and always glad to inspire new ideas in my fellow writers. And doing the stranger things is kind of my thing in fanfics. As for the Junior/Mandy part? Trust me, I know- That pairing is way more fn to write than it should be. Oh no, I know Minnie had potential to be dark and evil, but as you said, she wasn't a bad person all along or anything like that. As for GT fics, there honestlywasn't much around before I started posting in this section- that's not bragging, that's just history.

Some one randome- If I had played the game, I probably would do that. As it is, I haven't.

Guest- Thanks and you'll find out what "The Dark" is/means eventually.

Penny Phoenix- Wish granted! Glad you enjoy it- and yes, the Mandy-Junior bits are great to write and read. May "The Dark" be with you.

Malbatorus- Good to know.

FLARECROWN-Thanks.

Cf96- Its okay. Sorry it took so long to update, lol.

nightmaster000-I don't blame ya- I'm just saying its a bad twist if the Nergal is telling the truth, but it'd be good if it is actually lying. As for Minnie, yeah, Mandy's daughter- can't see her sitting in her brother's shadow comfortably for too long without at least trying to improve. As for Junior's father, I think my beta calls it "Vague, creepy backstory". As for Junior's brother- I plan for him to be an OC child of a non-OC mother. As for "Finn as Mandy's son idea"...I could see that, honestly. As for the "Underworld Game of Throne" comment, I'm rather enjoying the political angle of some of my fics in general for some reason. And I'll keep your OCs in mind.

detrametal- Most intense dream I had was like inception- a dream in a dream. Creepy. And I'm glad that I gave these characters a level of depth you can enjoy. And I have plans for Junior's meetings with Chi and Mimi.

coldblue- Your Review:

And I like your idea regard the dream.(grins)

Yes, Minnie is showing some of her more teasing nature. Not sre which part of her heritage is mostly to blame for that, but when in doubt, blame Mandy. And while it has a different meaning from her, I'm sure the servants and guards have all called Junior "Young Master" in the past, so he's somewhat use to it.

And yes, there can be peace, but its an odd peace- hard to say how weak or strong it is. Right now, I think everyone is still adjusting on some level.

Yes, HIM has to explain some things to his ally, and through that we get the oh so lovely title of Lord Traitor. As for the signifigance of that name, well, I can't give it away. And yes, Chi is worried about Mimi and Mimi is worried about Chi beng worried about her. Mimi's lost a lot, so she doesn't want to lose Chi too.

Your Questions

1. It's complicated, but kind of.

2. Yes, Junior will meet Gaz. When, I'm honestly not sure. I know certain things I want to happen in regards to Gaz, but the first meeting is something I'm still figuring out. I may take up your idea of her renaming Irk as Planet Gaz.

3. I will say this- I plan on Junior meeting Chi after his second meeting with Mimi.

4. He might, bt the issue at the moemnt is that he doesn't know anything about Mimi- Jeff explained it to him in canon and he got a more detailed answer with Horror's Hand. None of that has happen, so he has no reason to see Mimi as anything but an enemy. Don't worry, I have something for that too.

Your Answers:

1. Very nice, very nice. With what happened with Minnie once she got to heaven being unknown at the moment, this is a very plausible scenario.

2. Hehe, a good question. In this story, her memories had a more impact than in canon, making them a bit closer. Thus the question becomes how strong is this bond becoming, and what is it turning Minnie inot.

3. True, true. This is the common and likely theory- and I will admit, I forgot at one point that Mimi is an Empath. Mainly because it doesn't come up too often in the comics any more.

2nd 3. Possible

4. Partially right.

5. Hehe, yeah, the meeting of the Heirs shall be an interesting event.

6. There's actually one more thing to learn before moving onto more direct combat.

7. Pretty much spot on deduction.

Remzal Von Enili- Hmm, very good guesses. And that last point of yours comes into play in this chapter with Chi.

Dragon God xxx- Thanks, glad you like my fics. And yes, Mimi is an adorable Badass

AN Sorry for the long wait. Me and GT needed a bit of a break, then I got sick, college started back up, and it took me forever to get my head past this first scene. Any way, enjoy!

Grim Reaper Senior was used to his guards being a bit on edge at times. Mandy, on her bad days, made all of them a little jumpy and overly cautious to avoid having her wrath directed at them. It wasn't even odd for this to last for days at a time if whatever issue had made Mandy particularly annoyed with the currently-unreachable nuisance still lingered. But that wasn't what had all of the skeletal guards on edge now. No, Mandy's punishments were secondary in their minds right now. They were more concerned and interested about their Prince becoming a literal and feral one-man army that could claim victory over his evil mother and his deathly father, not to mention their comrades that he slaughtered and devoured without mercy.

The animated skeletons weren't afraid of dying. No, they would gladly fight to the death, for Death himself at that- and his tyrannical Queen too. No, what they feared was something both simpler yet far more complicated. To all the beings in the Afterlives, there was no unknown. There was Grim, who sent a soul off where he had to or even wanted to, then there were the rulers of whatever realm a soul landed in. Eating souls wasn't even an unknown, usually; the souls were either fused with the devourer or literally 'shitted out' of the devourer's soul and put back into the cycle of death and rebirth, sooner or later.

Junior, though, there was an uncertainty. What lay in the gullet of a Demon-Reaper, of a being that was both living and dead, one that could conquer Death himself? Were their souls destroyed? Eternally imprisoned? Enslaved? Junior was something new, an unknown. And on some level, that worried everyone.

In the more immediate sense, Mandy's subjects were also terrified of the idea of a war breaking out in the Grim Family, of having to choose between their Prince and their Queen- and not knowing which side they wanted to be on. Would Junior be worse to his subjects than his Mother? Would he even need them with his abilities? Such doubts ran rampant in the castle, leaving the future of the clan unclear and muddled to all those serving it.

But even that wasn't the exact reason why these particular guards looked so nervous. No, as Grim looked at the half-dozen guards grouped in a hall, he could tell they were nervous about something in the here and now. Something in the kitchen, by the looks of it, "Wha de fook are ya all standin aroun fer?" He asked, sounding more tired than annoyed.

"Master!" The guards snapped around and saluted in hushed voices, "It's the young prince, Sir...he's in the kitchen," One of them answered awkwardly.

Grim fought off a wince and cocked a nonexistent eyebrow at them. He hadn't been able to speak to Junior since the 'Family Meeting' back in Jack's house. The boy hadn't said a word on the way home and just went into a self-imposed exile in his room. Grim wanted nothing more than to talk to his son, to try and clear the air a bit, but a mixture of lacking opportunities and admitted spinelessness on Grim's part kept him from having any chances for the Reapers to have any one-on-one time.

"Wacha poin? Just cause de boy can rip ou yer souls fer diner doesn't mean ya can slack off ta gape an stare at him," Grim scolded with a light glare, making them wither a bit.

"We know, Sir, it's just that...," The guard trailed off, exchanging looks with his identical comrades.

"Ya?" Grim asked impatiently.

"He's in there with the ghost, the one that the Queen ordered us not to kill," The guard explained uneasily.

Grim rose a thoughtful eyebrow at that as he stroked his chin, "Mandy already got wha she wanted outta dat fool. If Junior eats him, it be of little concern of hers, an none of yers. So off witya, I'll be keeping an eye on me boy," Grim ordered snappishly. The skeletal guards gulped at the usually calm Reaper's overt annoyance before running off to where they were supposed be. Grim just shook his skull as he strolled over to the kitchen and took a peek inside...

Interestingly enough, the Heir of Death seemed to be ignoring the ghost sitting shirtless in the kitchen with his feet up on the table, sipping a bottle of expensive wine with a satisfied smirk on his face. "Well, well, well, if it isn't Prince Badass himself," Dan greeted with a smirk as Junior rummaged through the refrigerator.

'Why de heck is dat boy in his demon form?' Grim wondered to himself, seeing the axe-tailed hybrid pull out some lunch meat and bread, 'I mean, sure, dis damn ghost is here, but given his state, dat seems a bit ovakill...dan again, Mandy is his moder, so maybe ovakill is de only kill he knows,' Grim mused in slight amusement.

"Glad to see you bounced back so well. Hate to think you were crippled after all of that," Dan remarked to the prince. The devourer just growled in his throat as he slammed the door closed before hopping up on the countertop, "Ohhh, so you don't just dine on the flesh and souls of your enemies," Dan remarked, the soul eater throwing a bladed middle finger over his back.

Grim had to admit that it was odd watching his son, the Demon-Reaper, do something as simple as make a sandwich, especially with those claws. How the bread wasn't in pieces, Grim didn't even know.

"How are you even handling that stuff without ripping it to shreds?" Dan asked curiously, unknowingly voicing Grim's thoughts on the matter too, getting a shrug in response, "Not much of a talker, eh Princy?" Dan asked with a chuckle as the sandwiches were complete, three to be exact. To this, the young reaper just turned around and stared at the ghost from under his hood, "...Oh, shit, you're not the real one," Dan realized in surprise.

Clone smirked and started to clap mockingly at the Phantom's deduction before jumping off the countertop and returning the ingredients, "Damn, and here I was hoping to meet the Bastard of Death in person before I headed out," Dan said with a mock sigh of regret as he downed most of his alcohol and leaned back in his chair. He blinked as he caught sight of Grim Senior, standing in the door way, "Ohh! I guess you really do appear when they say your title!" Dan said with a smirk. Clone didn't even look surprised by Grim's appearance, which Grim took to mean that his son's duplicate had seen and/or sensed him before now.

"Well, I'm glad ta see ye're up an abou," Grim commented evenly.

"Your wife could have told you that," Dan taunted smugly.

"I wasn't talkin ta, ya pulp of ectoplasm," Grim retorted in annoyance as he locked his sights onto Clone. "Junior," He greeted, not expecting a reply.

"Dad," Clone growled out with a nod.

"So, he does speak," Dan joked with a chuckle, before raising an eyebrow between the king and the prince, "I'm never going to understand how a wimp like you is Death, let alone this shit's father. Probably some twisted 'Immaculate Conception' thing- though, I doubt his momma was a virgin!" Dan said with a twisted look of nostalgia, "Some of the best ass I've ever had, Bone Bags. Almost wish I had gotten a chance to tap that before Princy here got through with crawling out of her-I can't imagine her being better than that, but mother of two? Envy ya kid, you got to destroy some fine piece of meat when you were born," Dan praised jokingly. Grim looked on in annoyance, waiting for the buffoon to end his rambling, while Clone just stared impassively, not caring for the rambling at all, "Well, at least your kid isn't going to have to worry about not being able to do the deed properly, Lichy, what with those tentacles of his," Dan finished off with a cruel laugh before taking the last swig of his bottle as Grim grimaced, about to make a comeback...

Clone hit the bottom of the bottle with his wrist before slamming his knee into Dan's chin, making him bite down and break the neck of the bottle off in his mouth, falling backwards as spectral ectoplasm started to pour into his mouth. The ghost gagged and spit as he reached into his mouth and pulled the glass out, some of the shards still in his mouth, "Wha...wha duh hill was thot far?!" Dan blurted out in shock as he covered his bleeding mouth with his hand.

His response was Clone jumping off the table and landing one-foot first on Dan's groin, making the ghost gasp and squeak in pain. To finish the punishment off, Clone hit the flats of his palms against the lower half of Dan's legs, now covered in wrappings instead of casts. A crack was heard as the bones were re-fractured. Dan struggled to glare at the hybrid, who gave only a snarl before walking around the injured body. Dan raised his right hand shakily, as if to attack, but a sharp movement from Clone's axe tail and the blinking of said tail's eye made Dan just seethe before lowering his hand.

Grim blinked in astonishment at the...beating? Tantrum? Lashing out? Grim wasn't sure what to call what Junior just did, but still, it wasn't unwelcomed on his part. He looked down at Clone as the duplicate moved to exit the room and walked past his father. Clone paused to look up at Grim and...grinned, boyishly at that, and left. Grim raised an eyebrow at that, but didn't comment as the being that stole and returned his arm left in the same night. Grim's eyebrow went up even further when he saw that Junior had left one of the sandwiches. Idly, Grim moved over to the counter, ignoring Dan's noises of pain, and took a bite out of the sandwich, "Hmm, not bad," Grim mused, sparing a glance at Mandy's latest Baby-Daddy, "Not bad at all."

Meanwhile

Junior smiled as he sat cross legged on his bed, in his human form, having given Dan Phantom a lesson in respecting his hosts via Clone, 'Mom was right, I have really got to give that one a name or something,' He thought in annoyance. Having his main copy walking around made addressing the two separate bodies of Junior a bit awkward. Shaking his head of that matter for now, the red-eyed Reaper reached into his sweater and ribs, pulling out a small book: "Brothers of Terror."

His uncle's journal, something that contained information that not even his ancient father was aware of. Junior hadn't dared to open it again over the past few days, but neither had he ever allowed it to remain outside his ribcage at any time that he wasn't examining it. With a touch of reverence, the Prince of the Underworld opened the pages to the early life of the Brother of Death...

"The world is all burning now. All of it is covered in flames. From the lowest pit to the highest hole in the roof, fire is everywhere. I Am Fire. I Am Everywhere. Everthing burn and so I am Everthing now.

Until that one showed up. Something that didn't burn...something that I was NOT. Something that smothered my flames, leaving the ground black and cold where it went. I stared at it and it at me. Then, I grinned.

I have a friend! A friend that does not burn! This friend, this one, is not Fire! What my friend is, I do not know.

It was dark, and it moved. It was filled with fangs, and with claws, and with wings.

Than my friend stepped out of itself.

The fangs and the claws and the wings vanished. And what appeared was a tiny thing covered in weird stuff over the bones and many little strands out of the skull.

This is my new friend.

My Friend Has Friends! I didn't know what those were until today.

My Friend Has Family! What is that? Is it like Fire? Is it something New?!

My Friend Already Has A Name! Aww, I wanted to name my friend!"

Junior smiled fondly, pausing at that line. For some reason, he got the impression that Jack had been entirely excited over meeting his new friend- which Junior had to assume was his father, Grim Senior. Excitement over meeting and learning new things, for making his first friend, and at discovering there was more to existence then just his 'burning world' that had been born into- or created, Junior wasn't sure which. Not to mention the confusion over seeing a human form for the first time.

"Her name is Ker

She wants me to meet Brother.

What's a Brother? Is it another name?"

"...What?" Junior asked himself in surprise, his eyes narrowing in suspicion, 'Ker? Who's Ker? How many secret relatives does Dad have hidden away?' He wondered to himself, stroking his chin in thought, 'Filled with Fangs, Claws, and Wings? Sounds like a Nergal...or a messed up, Lovecraftian angel...,' He mused before pausing and groaning at the mental image, 'Thanks a lot, Minnie, you just had to look up what the angels really look like. God really had no sense of taste back then. Now I'm going to be dealing with that at the front of my mind for the rest of the day,' Junior thought with a shudder as he tried to force some disturbingly detailed images out of his mind.

He closed the book, deciding that was enough for now, despite how curious he was. It would take him forever to finish at this rate, but he had other priorities as well. That and he was a bit worried that he'd go insane reading Young-Jack's early ramblings, 'Speaking of Minnie…' He mused as he focused his mind on the clone watching his sister. He hummed as he found that she was still training. In fact, she had not only moved the target twice as far back, but also was trying to shoot while hanging upside down on the beam, "Showoff," he muttered fondly as she hit just a centimeter off from the center circle of the target, "At this rate, she'll be moving onto melee soon...huh, wonder if I should have her try other weapons?" He mused to himself, briefly flashing back to all the weapons he had created while battling Nergal Senior, Clockwork, and his father, "Well, it's best to have some variety in your arsenal of skills..."

Meanwhile

"So, Kare? Anything else I should be aware of?" Aku asked curiously, much more relaxed now than when they had started.

"Hmm, there are a few things. While, as I said, I stuck to the truth with those rumors, there were some things I left out that...I wasn't sure of," HIM answered thoughtful.

"Ohhh? Do tell," Aku said with a wave of his hand as they sipped their sake at moderate paces.

"Junior seems to be able to absorb the abilities that others use on him," HIM answered bluntly.

Aku almost choked on his alcohol at that, "Well, that's a pretty large damn admission!" Aku pointed out with a glare, his eyebrow flaring a bit.

"I know, but it confuses me a bit," HIM said curiously. "He used several ghost powers after this Phantom entered the scene. That may even be where the cloning originally came from," HIM started off.

"Huh? Oh, you think he obtained the ghost power of Duplication, and merged it with his Demonic and Reaper powers?" Aku guessed.

"Precisely. Ghosts can use their ectoplasm to create likeminded copies of themselves that can rejoin with the original at any time or when destroyed," HIM pointed off, pausing to see if Aku guessed the rest.

"And mixing it with his new Nergal powers and his nature as a reaper granted him a near invincible army of himself," Aku finished with a scowl, "But doesn't that mean...?

"Junior is likely far more powerful now than when that battle started," Kare confirmed with a nod, "During the fight, he was constantly eating more souls to keep himself at a certain level, but also expanding his overall raw power. In the past few days, his reservoirs have been refilling to whatever their new limit is."

"Meaning that the window anyone had for killing or subduing him has likely long since passed," Aku concluded. "Still, what about all of that confused you?" He asked curiously.

"That wasn't the confusing part," His Infernal Majesty answered, still looking thoughtful, "He was struck by the Sword of Tengu many times, and even wielded it for a while. He had some sort of conflict with Grim and Clockwork that I couldn't see. He even faced Jack Skellington's famed flames, and later one of Mandy's Caci. Yet, the boy never gained any powers related to Lightning, Time, or Fire," HIM elaborated, rubbing his scalp to ward off a headache.

"So, what you're having trouble with isn't what the boy gained from this fight, but what he didn't gain," Aku summarized with a thoughtful look of his own, before shrugging, "Perhaps there's a limit to how much he can integrate at once, or perhaps his Reaper powers or the Nergal itself were more compatible with ghost powers than with the rest," He suggested.

"Possible. I just like to know what a player is capable of, regardless if he's my enemy or my ally," HIM mused idly.

"Well, what else were you unsure about?" Aku asked curiously, moving the conversation before they got too drunk.

"Jack Skelington...he got particularly vicious towards the end of the fight," HIM commented.

"Death's little brother? I'm afraid I'm of little help there. I don't know much of the Pumpkin King," Aku commented in light apology.

HIM blinked as he looked at Aku strangely before sighing, "Sometimes I forget that you are one of the younger lords, less than two thousand years of the mortals," HIM realized in an almost nostalgic voice.

"The fact that I decided to retire does throw off that little fact," Aku noted with a chuckle, "Still, I didn't realize Skelington was anyone of note?"

"That's because of Jack himself," HIM answered with a scowl. "As Grim is a creature of Death, Jack is a creature of Fear, or was any way. He has gone by many names and titles over the eons, and whenever he changes aliases, he usually doesn't leave much of a trail leading from one to the other. Usually when anyone does put the pieces together, they are always and unexplainably overcome with a great fear that leaves them incapable of sharing their epiphany with anyone. Only a few beings are immune to this," He explained.

"And Mandy hasn't capitalized on this in-law of hers?" Aku asked with a raised eyebrow, a bit skeptical.

"If you didn't know about him, what makes you think she does?" HIM countered, raising an eyebrow of his own.

"Hmph, yet another crack in Mandy's illusion of invincibility and supremacy," Aku noted with a huff.

"This is her first major defeat since gaining her throne," HIM pointed out with a serious tone. "If she reacts poorly to it, I might not even need to do anything to bring her down, let alone get her son on our side."

"Our side?" Aku asked with a wry grin, "What makes you think I'm going to get involved in this?"

"Because, I'm sure you're just dying to introduce Chi to the children of her Godfather," HIM answered with a smirk, getting a chuckle from the shapeshifter.

"Well, if the state your daughter arrived in is any indication, that may not be the best of ideas," Aku pointed out. "Than again, that's partially her Godfather's fault, in more ways then one. But getting back to the topic of Mandy losing it after this setback of hers? We're not that lucky," he assured solemnly. "After all, that defeat will buy her a lot of time. No one is going to pick a fight with her until they know more about this son of hers and where he really stands in the underworld."

"...I get the impression that you're scheming something," HIM noted idly.

"My dear sinner of a friend, while you know how to manipulate people, I know how to play the games of royal politics," Aku assured with a smirk of his own, "And with all these rumors flying about, that leaves many options to exploit in regards to the Grim clan."

Kare stared at the shogun for a moment before bowing his head with a chuckle, "Aku, now that's just cruel. I approve," He said knowingly. "But be careful about playing a card like that. Grim Junior doesn't trust anyone besides his sister now...and even that, I'm sure, has a touch of skepticism to it. He may look like a boy, but-" The red demon started to warned, only for Aku to raise a black hand for silence.

"Don't worry, Kare, I long ago learned not to underestimate children," He assured with a chuckle, "Anything else to discuss?" he inquired as he took another drink of sake.

"Messiah is back," HIM answered evenly.

Once again, Aku nearly choked on his drink, "Will you stop doing that! Our daughters aren't married, so choking me to death on my own sake won't do you any good!" Aku yelled in frustration. HIM shrugged, unconcerned with the outburst. The Shogun of Darkness sighed as he picked up the bottle and downed a third of it, "I thought he was dead?"

"Not dead. Just cursed, along with the rest of the Hellwoods," Kare explained, "And hiding from everyone, for some reason..."

"...Wouldn't they know where Lord Traitor is?" Aku asked curiously.

"Hehe, trust me, they couldn't tell us even if they wanted to," HIM answered in amusement.

Meanwhile

Demongo sighed as he found himself squished under the heel of Princess Chi. It wasn't an unusual or rare position for him to be in, as he had been demoted to, more or less, part time nanny and part time stress ball. Still, he wondered what had gotten her ire up today. After all, Mimi was still in the castle, having just left for some sweets- Chi was having trouble figuring out what Mimi wanted for snacks, so the she-devil opted to ha...claw pick them herself.

Though, Chi had been faking some of that ignorance..., "Okay Demongo, I need you to talk and fast. What do you know about what happened to Mimi?" She asked evenly.

"Mistress, I honestly don't kno-OUCH!" Demongo started, only to get stomped on by the unsatisfied princess.

"Not good enough! You must have some idea of what's going on! Some idea of how she got hurt! Why she looks so...upset," Chi demanded, her voice wavering at the end.

Demongo rose an eyebrow at that before humming, "Mistress? When was the last time you had contact with Lady Mimi?" Demongo asked in thought.

"I don't know..." Chi started before pulling out her phone and checking the texts, "Her last text was back on October twenty-fifth," She answered idly, "Then me and dad had that Halloween movie marathon before my special performance on the day before Halloween..."

"So, you had no contact with her over Halloween itself?" Demongo asked suspiciously.

"No, I figured HIM had something special of his own going on for that day," Chi answered in distaste, raising an eyebrow at the heavy silence in the room, "Demongo?"

"Mistress, I have a suspicion, but...no, your father would kill me for even putting the thought in your head," Demongo said to himself.

"And I'll kill you if you don't!" Chi threatened as she reached down and started to stretch the orb-shaped soul with both hands.

"Owowowowowowowow! Okay, okay!" Demongo relented as she released him, but still kept him under her foot, "But you have to swear to me that you will talk to your father about this before you even consider doing anything about it!"

"And why should I promise you anything?" Chi asked with a scowl.

'Because as much of a brat you are, I don't want you to die, or worst,' Demongo thought bitterly, tempted to say those exact words, "Because...if this is related to what I think it is...than you might not just get yourself killed- you might get Mimi and your father killed as well," He warned ominously.

"What are you babbling about?! My father and I can only be killed by the Sword of the Samurai!" Chi reminded furiously.

"Not quite right, but close," Demongo muttered with a sigh, "Have you heard any of the rumors, Milady? The whispers passing through the streets and among the people?" He asked quietly.

"What rumors are you on about?" Chi asked impatiently.

"The Demon-Reaper," Demongo answered begrudgingly.

"The Demon-Reaper? Please, that's just some Halloween prank that's been spreading around the Undernet," Chi said dismissively, "There's no way that something like that disappeared without a trace, especially after going head to head with one of the Big Five."

"Hmm? You obviously don't know the full story, Mistress Chi," Demongo noted idly.

"Oh? And what's this full story, Demongo?" Chi asked with a narrowed gaze.

"That the Son of Mandy and the Heir of Death somehow gained the powers of a demon- a Nergal, supposedly. For whatever reason, he lost control of himself and turned on his family and subjects, in Halloween Town. He used his new found powers to create an army in his own image, able to regenerate any injury and feast upon souls to gain more power. The Royal Guard of Mandy lost nearly all of its members and Queen Mandy herself was defeated in combat by him. If not for her Immortality and the chaos of the battle, she might have lost her soul. As for it disappearing, the common idea for the ending is that he regained control of his mind and just stopped himself before he could destroy the main army," Demongo elaborated, "That is the only thing significant that I know of that might be related to what happened to your friend..."

"And you believe that hogwash? Ha! That'd be like me taking on my father and winning- sans music contest," Chi said with a snort.

"And you don't believe the tales that Mandy herself all but enslaved the Grim Reaper when she was just a child?!" Demongo countered harshly, "He is the fruit of her womb, Princess! To dismiss such dangerous rumors is foolish and downright arrogant of you!"

"Watch your tone, Dem-" Chi started with a glare, only to go wide eyed as she was cut off.

"I will not "watch my tone," Chi!" Demongo yelled in frustration, "If this Demon-Reaper, this Grim Reaper Junior, is even half of what the rumors say, then you confronting him could make you the enemy of something even your father can not afford to fight. And if he isn't, it could still cause a war between your father and the Grim Clan- the House of Death itself! Do you want that, Chi?! Do you want to destroy everything your father worked for, everything you hold dear just because your friend got a SCRATCH, when she should be happy to still have her SOUL?!"

Chi stood there for the longest time with a gaping mouth, looking down at the being that she had kicked around and treated like dirt most of her life, who never dared to raise his voice to her except when to speak over music. Slowly, she took her foot off him and backed away, "G-get out," She muttered shakily as he floated off the floor, looking at her with a scowl, "I said get out!"

"Not until you swear on whatever you feel for Mimi that you'll talk to your father about this before doing anything stupid!" Demongo countered strongly.

"I Said Get TheFuck Out!" Chi yelled, throwing a sandal at Demongo. There was a resounding bang, but he took it without a flinch and just kept staring at her, "Fine...I swear," She relented quietly. Demongo sighed and left the room, pushing the sliding door shut, as Chi slid down against a wall, hugging herself.

The former general raised an eyebrow in surprise when he found that Mimi was waiting outside the room, standing against a wall so Chi couldn't see her through the sliding door. On the floor next to her were five bowls, each stacked on top of one another, with various sweets of all flavors. Demongo expected the she-devil to be angry at him for upsetting Chi, for yelling at her over wanting to protect her friend. Instead, all Mimi did was pull out her cell phone and show the screen to him, two words typed on it.

"Thank you."

Both eyebrows went up at that as Demongo looked at the daughter of HIM with curious and worried eyes, "The rumors...are they true?" He asked quietly.

Mimi put her phone away and mouthed a single word to Demongo: "Worse." With that, she patted the orb on the head, picked up the bowls and headed inside to comfort the distraught Princess, leaving a demon general with a frown on his ball-like soul.

"I didn't want to do that, but she needs to learn not to brush off rumors of a new threat so casually," Demongo reasoned to himself, 'I can only hope that Lord HIM hasn't brought the ire of this being upon himself and his daughter or Lady Chi may not be able to control herself if and when that issue rears its head,' He finished in his head as he turned to leave the two princesses to their own devices.

Inside, Mimi made a show of looking oblivious as entered the room and placed the bowls on the table, before cocking her head at Chi. The orange-haired shoguness-to-be was sitting with her legs curled to her chest, her arms wrapped around herself, and her body shivering with a distant look in her gear-like eyes.

Mimi wasn't mad at Demongo, to be honest. She knew that Chi would find out about the Demon-Reaper eventually and put together that he was somehow involved with Mimi's behavior. And Mimi knew Chi too well: If she just heard the rumors, she would of(and had) just dismissed them as exaggerations and fallacies and Chi would never accept her father's warnings at face value. Any request or plea from Mimi herself for the daughter of Aku to not get involved would have fallen on deaf ears. His Infernal Daughter almost worried that only a face-to-face meeting with Grim Reaper Junior would be the only one to prove to Chi how much of the rumors were true.

Demongo, however, had tried to shake Chi of her arrogance and make her see that she should be wary of this new player. While Mimi didn't like Chi in distress, she'd prefer it over her doing something foolish on her behalf.

So, with that in mind, the horned female walked over to Chi, knelt down, and wrapped her in a hug...then her eyes glowed red for a moment as Chi's shaking settled down and the child-star slowly returned the hug. Her empathic powers did still come in handy at times.

"Mimi...," Chi whispered, "Why?" She asked sadly. Mimi tilted her head on Chi's shoulder, asking for a more specific question, "Why...when I think about losing everything, I feel so sad? I've never been afraid for my father or the city, so why is my heart aching?" She asked, her gaze honestly confused by the weird feelings she was having in this instance.

Chi never saw it. The wide eyes of her beloved Mimi as Chi asked that question, as Mimi's empathic powers dove deeper into chi's soul. Chi would never even remember why she suddenly felt so sleepy, why she suddenly and fully collapsed into Mimi's embrace, the She-Devil's eyes glowing bright as tears ran down her cheeks...

Meanwhile

Junior raised an eyebrow as his door was slammed open and in walked his mother who was...not pissed, but decidedly annoyed. She walked up to the edge of Junior's bed, stood there intently for a few seconds before pinching the bridge of her nose in frustration. Junior just sat on his bed, waiting patiently for his mother to make up her mind on what she was about to say and how.

"Okay...explain to me why exactly you felt the need to re-cripple the still healing ghost?" Mandy asked evenly as her red eyes bore into Junior's own.

"Why do you even care?" Junior asked curiously, honestly curious.

"I don't care about him at least. But in case you had forgotten, he was a guest," She pointed out.

"Well, he was a poor guest and I taught him a lesson in respecting his hosts," Junior answered smoothly.

Mandy raised an eyebrow, "Which host? You? I hate to remind you, but this is your room, not your castle," She asked pointedly.

"Mom, stop marking your territory," Junior said in annoyance, getting a glare for the remark, "The host I was referring to was your husband, Queen Mandy," He answered evenly.

Mandy's eyebrow twitched at the use of her title, but gave nothing else away, "Your father is a grown Reaper and the current Death. If he can't stick up for himself-"

"And if his wife won't, than it becomes my job to be angry for myself and him. And since what and who goes on in your bed is the least of my problems, I'm just being angry for him," Junior interrupted sharply.

"So, what? You unleashed your other self on an injured former-enemy for bragging to your father about putting a "badger" in me, as Dan said?" Mandy asked evenly.

"Badgers," Junior corrected.

"Hmm?" Mandy asked, not catching that.

"Twins. A boy and a girl. One will have your eyes and the other will have his," Junior explained evenly.

"Good to know," Mandy commented idly, filing that information away for now, "Still, I gave orders not to harm him," Mandy pointed out.

"And I wasn't ever told of anything like that. You may not have noticed, but the guards are a bit wary of me these days," Junior retorted uncaringly. "And those orders were to ensure you got a donor for my next set of siblings, not because you actually wanted him alive long term."

"You're only part right." Mandy opined casually, "He's a potential ally as well."

"You have his brats and there are always going to be more ghosts," Junior countered, "Besides, I didn't kill him, so it's a moot point."

"It's hardly a moot point from my position," Mandy warned.

"Why?" Junior asked daringly, "Because you're looking for an excuse?"

"I don't need an excuse, Junior, I'm still the Queen of the Underworld," She retorted.

"And I'm still the Demon-Reaper," Junior shot back, clearly unimpressed.

"Don't let that go to your head," Mandy all but ordered, "I actually came here just to see why you did that, and to deliver a message from Dan."

"A message?" Junior asked a bit skeptically.

"Yes, it amounted to him expecting you to make sure his "little badger" turns out to be a "hellish badass" like you. Something about not wanting his genes going to waste on a "hero type," as he put it," Mandy conveyed with a roll of the eyes.

"Amazed he could say all that after what I did to him," Junior muttered to himself with a shrug, "So, Mother? Anything else you'd like to discuss?"

"Why did a guard give this to me and say it was from you?" Mandy questioned, holding up a sandwich.

"I made a sandwich for Minnie and decided to make two more. One for Dad since he was there and I figured you could use a snack with the lack of sleep," Junior answered with a shrug.

"You could have tried coffee," Mandy suggested.

"I legitimately do not know how to make coffee," Junior explained.

"...You can haggle a soul from a genuine devil, but you don't know how to make coffee?" Mandy asked, fighting down a smirk of amusement.

"Sue me, Minnie hated the stuff and decided to stick with tea," Junior defended offhandly.

"Right, speaking of that...," Mandy said, actually sounding a bit...awkward, "There anything you want to talk to me about in regard to...that?" She asked cautiously.

"That?" Junior asked, confused by the question and his mother's out of character behavior.

"Well, Minnie was a girl and-" Mandy started off, only to be interrupted by Junior.

"Stop," Junior said bluntly.

"What?" Mandy asked, surprised by the abrupt order.

"Mother, I honestly mean this with the utmost respect: Stop. Because that is one issue that I have not had come up and I have many, MANY others to deal with and don't need to add potential issues of gender confusion to that," Junior explained in exasperation.

"...Not exactly what I was getting at, but I get your point," Mandy agreed, "Speaking of Minnie, where is she?" she asked idly.

"Training- or perhaps the better term would be acclimating," Junior answered offhandedly, "Took her a while to stop sucking at archery."

"The one eye thing?" Mandy guessed.

"Nah, just the new body. Besides, Dad probably made it so she can see out the socket," Junior pointed out, "On that note, are we going to give her a new body? Cause I almost expected you to give her a Nergal-cyborg one when we got home."

"We can't- yet at least," Mandy answered, getting a raised eyebrow, "Your father knows it better than me, but her soul needs time to readjust from everything and one that's been handling her: the Grim Reaper, a devil or two, at least one angel, and a Demon-Reaper. Needless to say, most souls don't have all those things messing with them in one night. If we pulled her soul out now, it might have...side effects." Mandy warned, "...And, admittedly, a Nergal-Cyborg had never crossed my mind."

"HOW did it not cross your mind!?" Junior asked in disbelief, "You knew Nergal since you were ten! That idea should have popped up somewhere along the lines."

"I don't know if you noticed this, Grim Reaper Junior, but as smart as I am, imaginative isn't always an term to associate with me," Mandy retorted.

"...Okay, point taken," Junior admitted begrudgingly, "Anything you want to tell me, Mother?" He asked, his voice turning toneless.

Mandy stared at him for a long time before responding, "Like what?" She counter questioned, giving nothing away.

"How about why and how HIM seems to know so much about my biological father?" Junior asked curiously.

"Didn't HIM mention something about everyone knowing about your father?" Mandy questioned with a raised eyebrow.

"I thought we should start with specifically HIM, than move onto the rest of the Afterlives," Junior retorted with a shrug, "Is he even still alive?"

"...I don't know," Mandy answered honestly.

"Of course, the only time you'll give me a real answer is when you don't know the answer yourself," Junior groaned, "You know what? Never mind, forget I even asked. Enjoy the sandwich," Junior declared with a scowl.

Mandy stared at her son evenly for a moment before tossing the sandwich on the bed, "You need it more than I do," She commented as she turned to leave without another word.

Junior raised an eyebrow at that, looking at the sandwich in confusion, "Is that her idea of an olive branch? A sandwich I made for her? That's like rewrapping a Christmas present and giving it back the next year to the one who gave it," He commented to himself before sighing, "Then again, it's her, so it's probably as good as it gets." He decided as he laid down on the bed, 'Thank someone that she didn't realize I de-Nergalized myself from the waist down. Though, now this means not only do I have incest issues, I apparently have a thing for angry women.' He thought in annoyance before blinking, 'I am never letting Minnie know I ever thought that- I do not need two Bitch Queens in my fucked up personal life.'

TAP-TAP-TAP

Junior would later admit that maybe forming and charging both of his arms into cannons might be a bit of an overreact to hearing a tapping noise.

As it was, he blinked as he found an all too familiar eagle at his door, perched on the handle, and tapping the glass with its beak. Junior stared long and hard at the eagle, his weapons still trained on the bird as it cocked its head at him, "...Are you following me or something?" Junior asked in confused suspicion.

The avian just gave him an annoyed look before flapping its wings and clutching the door handle, opening the door on its own. Junior sighed as he saw it rest on the handle expectantly, "Well, come on, you've already let yourself halfway in as it is. Just keep it down," He said, waving his hand to his room in mock welcoming. The bird took the invitation, flying in and around the room, mindful not to knock over anything.

Junior raised an eyebrow as it landed on the bed, looking curiously at the sandwich before turning to Junior, "...Dig in," Junior offered, watching as the eagle started to pick at and eat the sandwich. "Well, you're one more thing to add to the list of things I need to figure out, and that's a long list: My powers, how get answers out of Mom and Dad, my mysterious biological father, my various incest issues, how many more secret relatives I have, etc." Junior mused to himself, his visitor ignoring him for the food instead. His face suddenly got a look of surprise that melted into suspicion, "Hey...?" Junior called warily, the eagle looking up at him inquisitively, "You're...not my father, are you?" He asked slowly.

The eagle stared at him for a long, long time before walking over to the edge of the bed nearest Junior. The hybrid rose an eyebrow, but leaned down, wondering if the avian might just speak to him. What he got instead was a wing-whack to the side of the head. A very hard one.

"...Did you just hit me with your wing?" Junior asked evenly, one part annoyed and one part stunned. To answer his question, the eagle hit him with the other wing and the Great Demon-Reaper then found that his skull was now on the floor, "Asshole! How the hell did you even do that?" Junior called as his tail caught his skull and threw it back on his shoulders, rejoining his body instantly.

Now thoroughly upset, the demon-reaper Nergalized and turned to his assaulter...and found the eagle on the back of his computer chair, staring at a computer screen that the avian had somehow turned on without any help, "Okay, better question is how did you turn on my computer?" Junior asked in amazement as he walked over, "...And how do you know my password?!" He added on with a glare. The bird decided to ignore the prince as it pointed to the screen, "What? You want to play Diablo? Minecraft? The Goat Game?" Junior asked in confusion.

The feathered creature almost seemed to sigh before hoping onto the desk, using its talons to use the arrow keys and the enter button to open an Undernet page, the homepage for Erebusoft. The bird looked to Junior imploringly, who rose an eyebrow but pressed the mouse censor over the address bar. Of all things, Junior didn't expect the bird to type in Google, "What, you want to order a female of your species?" Junior asked jokingly. Wisely, he dodged the next attack aimed at his head, "Will you stop doing that?!" Junior growled as the avian leaned towards him warningly, an odd chirp in its throat as its crown feathers rose up as in in challenge, "Fine, fine, get on with it," Junior relented, giving up on figuring out what this bird wanted with his computer- and he was quickly becoming aware of how insane this situation was.

The eagle huffed, its crown lowering, before typing into the search engine: 'Grim'.

Junior blinked as he saw the suggested searches that appeared from that. Now, as a purveyor of the net, Junior had done this exact thing before. The usual results, with some variance were: Grim Reaper, Grim Clan, Grim Clan Mandy, Grim Clan Bitch Queen and a few things related to anniversaries and plays Minnie was in. Now, however, the first five suggestions were as followed: Grim Reaper Junior, Grim Junior Demon-Reaper, Grim Junior Halloween Town, Grim Junior Death Junior, and Grim Clan Junior.

"...I'm on the Undernet?" Junior asked in surprised as he clicked on his name, finding an entire page of things had been posted in the past few days about him and what had supposedly happened in Halloween Town, "I'm famous?" he questioned, glossing over the results as he slid into the chair. The eagle, looking all too amused, flew back over to the bed and continued eating the sandwich, "Lucifer's Balls, I'm trending!...or stuff about me is at least!" Junior said in disbelief. With a piece of meat dangling from its mouth, the bird rolled its eyes before scarfing it down.

Meanwhile

To his credit, Clone(and Junior by extension) was not at all put off by the arrow that nearly hit him between the two eyes on his face. He merely took it as Minnie getting really, really into her training. When he realized she had done it blindfolded, he was just a bit impressed- if it had been before Halloween Town, he would have been very impressed...but also very jealous, most likely.

"Brother!" Minnie cried, a bit upset and startled that she had accidentally attacked him, "A thousand apolo-..." She trailed off as she drew closer, looking him over, "Chief of the Clones?" She asked in surprise, getting a nod from the Clone. "Apologies all the same, Master Junior. I hast nary the expectation of company since thine main self's departure," She apologized, Clone waving it off without worry, "Might I inquire what bringith thou hither, O Wrath of Mine Brother?" She asked curiously.

Clone didn't answer her for a moment, looking at her with an evenly hooded gaze, "...Wrath?" He repeated in a curious growl, as if testing the sound of it.

"Aye. It seemed a most...fitting moniker that came to me in passing," She answered, not wanting to bring up that she actually got it from her recent dream- while she didn't want her brother to think she didn't trust him, she needed to wrap her head around that one first before she talked about it. Besides, he was already training her, no need to put more on his plate.

Clone hummed before nodding to himself, as if accepting and taking the title of Wrath, "Hungry?" He asked in a grunt, holding up the third and final sandwich for Minnie, who looked at it curiously for a moment before taking it with a smile.

She frowned for a moment as she opened and examined the contents, sending her brother's copy a dry smirk, "Thine skills in the kitchen need a tad improving," She jabbed, none the less continuing with the meal.

Clone or Wrath rather, gave her a disapproving look, "Eight. Kitchen. Soup," he stated evenly, making her freeze with wide eyes of remembrance and fright.

"Pirthee, Mine Beloved Sibling, make nary a mention of that event ever again!" she pleaded as she grasped his shoulders, "Mother would eternally banish my being anywhere near an oven if she were to discover I was the root of that...unfortunate incident...," she trailed off with a shaky smile.

Wrath rose an eyebrow at that, but just grabbed the hand holding the sandwich and pushed the food to Minnie's mouth, who took the prompting as an absolute order and starting to munch at the dish as if her unlife depended on making her brother think she thought it was the best sandwich ever. Every last clone of Junior, plus the main one, simultaneously sweat-dropped at that over-the-top display. Sometimes, Minnie was more of a perfectionist than a showoff- Junior blamed their mother for that.

End of the Chapter

Well, there we go, Clone has finally got a proper name after about a dozen chapters. I forget who suggested Wrath as a name, it might have been multipule reviewers, but I'll give them a small shout out next time. And again, sorry for the long wait- I had to rewrite the first scene several times. It was originally going to have the real Junior there, but I ended up having it being just Clone/Wrath, and having Grim Senior watching it.

Anyway, I'm going to try and stop my habit of reummarizing the entire chapter in my author notes. Not much else to say...oh, right, I actually worked it out in my head. The Samurai ony became as we know them sometime between 500-1000 AD, meaning that Aku is less than two-thousand years old and likely a very young Demon Lord.

With that, I hope you all enjoyed it and here's some questions to Ponder.

QTP: Why is Junior sticking up for Grim? Thoughts on the Journal Entry and on who Ker is? Who is Messiah and what is Hellwood? What are Aku's schemes for Junior and the Grim Clan? What exactly is Aku blaming on Chi's Godfather? What is the exact nature of Junior's Power-Copying ability? Why is HIM immune to this supposed Curse that Jack put on his own past? Why is Chi suddenly so shaken by Demongo's vocal protests? Is Mandy really mad at Junior for attacking Dan? Why did the Eagle arrive and show Junior that? And how is Junior going to react now that he knows about, and can read, the rumors spreading about him?

PS Yes, The Raging Demon-Reaper just got Bitch-Slapped/Wing-Slapped by an Eagle.
