I don't down the characters or setting they belong to JKR :)

Days turned into weeks, and soon it was the day Hermione had promised to help Molly with the wedding planning. The wedding was only two weeks away, and although Molly had already done most of the planning, Hermione had promised to help make the decorations. George was busy working on the potion that had failed, so she would be going to the Burrow alone. They both took one of the potions from the hospital, and off she went, after kissing George goodbye. She stepped out of the fireplace, into the warm glow of the busy living room. Molly was going back and forth between the kitchen and living room, while several people were cutting and making white decorations. Hermione recognized the faces as she stepped further into the room. Harry, Ron, Ginny, Angelina, and a girl Hermione didn't recognize. She was blonde, with pretty blue eyes. She seemed to be quite a bit older than the rest of them, maybe five or six years. Ginny noticed Hermione and quickly got up, striding over to her.

"Hey Hermione! Finally here to help huh" She teased and Hermione chuckled.

"Who's that Gin?" Hermione nodded towards the girl chatting with Angelina. Ginny's eyes widened.

"Oh right, I suppose you wouldn't have met her yet. That's Charlie's fiance Margot. They had come down right after the war had ended, to be with the family. You and George would have been out then" Ginny patted her back. Hermione nodded with a frown. The other girls looked up and Angelina gave her a small wave. Hermione smiled, and they rejoined the table. The only spot available was between Ginny and Ron, who looked up excitedly at her.

"Hey 'Mione, come to join the party?" He laughed and she felt herself relax. They cut out the white shapes by hand, Molly stating that magic made them look irregular. Ron groaned frequently, complaining about something different every five minutes. Hermione frowned, not quite sure how she could have ever found that attractive. She chatted with Harry about his work with the Aurors, Ron again chiming in to complain occasionally.

"It's great 'Mione, we've been working on cases to catch the remaining Death Eaters, and I stood trial with a few of them. It's all so interesting" Harry gushed, and Hermione nodded along with a smile.

"I'm so glad you're enjoying yourself" She said sincerely, and Ron snorted. Harry nodded to her.

"What about you? What have you been up to?" He chatted, and Hermione flushed a little, picturing what she had been getting up to, or under rather.

"Um well, I have been helping out at the twin's shop mostly. Oh and working on a potion, George is so brilliant Harry, he's working on this potion to help with our magic link. He's always surprising me" Hermione gushed, and Harry nodded, a knowing smile on his face. Suddenly Ron stood up, arms crossed.

"Bloody hell, George this, George that. I'm going to get a drink or something" He huffed, leaving the table. Hermione frowned, turning to the girls. Margot caught her eye and smiled at her. Hermione returned the smile.

"Margot, how did you and Charlie meet?" She asked, and Margot beamed, happy to talk about her fiance.

"Oh we met in Romania actually. I was studying there, although not for dragons, and we just kept running into each other. Finally we decided it wasn't a coincidence and things kind of went on from there. It felt like fate, you know?" She gushed and Hermione felt her heart pound in her chest. She did know how that felt, to feel like fate had brought someone she had never thought she'd have a chance with into her life. Ginny noticed the look on Hermione's face and chuckled, patting her back.

Hours passed and Hermione quickly lost track of time. They had nearly finished all the decorations, occasionally stopping for snacks, or to get fresh air. Hermione sat on the bench outside when someone joined her. She turned, noticing it was Ron once again. She felt uncomfortable.

"Charlie's going to have a nice wedding I reckon" He said smiling. Hermione nodded, returning the smile.

"Molly always does an amazing job planning, and this time people will actually be able to fully enjoy themselves" Hermione said, glancing down at the field that would likely hold the tent. She felt Ron nod and then slide closer to her.

"Listen Ron-" Hermione started, wringing her hands together as she tried to tell him how she felt. Suddenly she felt like she couldn't breathe, standing up quickly. She felt faint, her vision swaying in front of her. He jumped to his feet, grabbing her shoulders.

"What, what's going on?" He asked, his voice worried. She knew the feeling and desperately clawed at her watch. It had been too long away from George. Her magic was fading, as the potion wore off. She stumbled towards the house, Ron shouting desperately behind her. She fell to her knees in the kitchen, everyone rushing into the room after hearing the shouting. Ginny knelt in front of her, grabbing her shoulders.

"Hermione, what is it?" She begged, and Hermione couldn't get the words out, she felt her vision fading. She heard shouting around her, and someone lifted her up.

"Get George, she needs George" Someone shouted. Ron huffed in annoyance, she knew it was Ron.

"Why do we need George?" He asked, and someone yelled.

"Not now Ron, this is serious" That was the last thing Hermione heard, as the room faded and the world went dark.

Two warm arms were wrapped around her, that was the first thing she noticed as she reentered the world. She felt the rising of a chest beneath her. She registered that they were sitting, not laying down. Her eyes slid open and relief flooded her heart. George was lounging on the couch, and she was wrapped around him, her knees close to her chest. His eyes were closed, indicating that he hadn't woken up yet. Her eyes combed the room, noting that they were still at the Burrow, but they were alone in the living room. Quiet voices echoed from the kitchen. Hermione glanced at the clock, seeing it was past midnight. She glanced over the couch, seeing shaggy red hair. Fred. Hermione tried to rise from the couch, but her knees buckled, catching Fred's attention. He ran into the room, helping her back onto the couch. Ginny and Angelina followed him into the room. They sat in the chairs, and Fred sat next to Hermione on the couch.

"Easy there, your magic isn't completely restored yet" He said with a frown. She glanced at the girls.

"What happened?" She asked and Angelina looked at Ginny before speaking.

"You were outside with Ron, and then suddenly you came barreling into the house. Ron was screaming, and honestly we thought he had made some sort of advance on you. But then you fell to your knees and we knew it was worse. Ginny was about to send Fred a patronus, when he came bursting through the fireplace, with George in his arms. It seems you both had passed out" She explained and Hermione's eyes widened. She grimaced as she suddenly felt sick. Ginny quickly handed her a biscuit from the table.

"Here 'Mione, you haven't eaten in hours" Hermione took it, taking a small bite. She turned towards George with a worried look on her face. Fred put a hand on her shoulder, offering her some support, which she appreciated.

"Where did Ron and Harry go? Hermione asked, suddenly aware of the absences. Ginny snorted, a look of annoyance on her face.

"My git of a brother threw a fit and had to be escorted out by Harry. I'm so sick of that boy" Ginny hissed and Angelina nodded, also looking annoyed. Hermione sighed.

"I was trying to tell him how I felt before this happened" She explained and they all nodded, frowns on their faces.

"That can wait, lets just focus on making sure you and George are okay" Angelina said with a sweet smile, and Hermione was grateful she was here with them. George shifted beside her and they all looked over at him. He hissed in pain, dragging a hand down his face. Suddenly he shot up, looking around frantically.

"Hermione? Hermione" He gasped out, and Hermione slid closer to him, taking his hand. He sighed, realizing she was right beside him.

"George it's okay" She said and he seemed to focus in on the room, noting where he was. He looked relieved. Angelina explained again what had happened for him, and Fred filled in the blanks on how he had ended up at the Burrow. Then they sat in silence. Angelina stood, taking Fred's hand.

"Did you want us to stay Hermione? Because we will" She said, her voice sincere. Hermione shook her head, exhaustion filling her body.

"No, no, we're going to go to bed here I think, thank you all for what you did today" She smiled. She hugged them goodbye, and they stepped into the fireplace, disappearing. Ginny stood, helping pull George to his feet.

"Mum knows you guys will be sleeping here, so I'll just help you to George's old room" Hermione nodded and they started climbing the stairs.

Suddenly the front door opened, revealing Ron and Harry. Harry shot them a regretful smile and Ron groaned. Hermione noticed the air started to smell like alcohol. She glared at Harry for taking Ron to a pub. He looked away embarrassed. Ron stumbled towards the stairs, barreling past them. Hermione gripped the wall, to stop herself from falling over.

"Blimey, he's bloody everywhere" Ron huffed, disappearing into his room. Ginny grumbled and then tugged George's arm, continuing their journey to his room. She left them at his door, pulling Hermione into a quick hug goodnight. They settled into his small single bed, both exhausted from the events.
