The brown-haired beauty let her waves fall over her shoulders as she stared hard at the computer screen, waiting for results. Somehow Killer Frost's cellular count was decreasing. Either that or she was getting weaker.
She thought about why Killer Frost was suddenly disappearing. Could it be Cooper? After all, this only started to happen when he showed up... She immediately dismissed the thought. That's her brother she's talking about and all he's ever done was was want to connect with Caitlin, not disconnect her from Killer Frost. But what if he was doing it involuntarily...-
Cooper walked into the cortex and made his way to his sister. Caitlin was startled since she was so into her work. She'd even forgotten she brought Cooper along with her. Additionally, he'd been gone for a while.
"Hey, sis." said Cooper walking over to the hospital bed.
"Oh, Cooper. Hey," she said apprehensively. Caitlin's prediction about her brother made her alarm loom in the air.
"You're still trying to find this out? Let me help you," he offered.
Caitlin rose an eyebrow, and this time her attention was focused on her brother and not his actions but who he was. "You'd understand this? What I'm doing?"
Cooper nodded his head quickly. Caitlin scooted aside while still sitting in her chair. Cooper hovered over the table and the computer.
"Hey, hey look at this," Cooper said while pointing at the computer screen. Big circles represented cells, they were blue which reresented the coldness of Killer Frost's powers. But there were red spots in it that were more unusual than red blood cells.
"I know, Cooper. Those are just her red blood cells operating inside her molecular structure."
"But Caitlin, I don't think that's what that is. It seems like a disturbance to her... I don't know what."
Caitlin stared at the screen a little longer, and when she finally looked at Cooper she realized just how right he was.
"What do you think this could be coming from?" Cooper asked in confusion. He still stared at the screen, absent to the fact that Caitlin was looking at him like he was Hunter Zolomon.

"It was a good idea to come to the mall today. We should definitely hit up Bentley's Corndogs, don't you think?" Caitlin asked her mopy brother who was standing next to her.
"I don't know. Uh, thanks Caitlin for doing this. You're a good sister." Collin admitted, while looking at a few girls that looked his way as they passed him.
"Collin, it's been a week since Samantha broke up with you." Caitlin finally said, stopping and facing her little brother.
Collin involuntarily sulked into his own self. "I know that I have to move on, but we've been together since high school."
"It'll be okay," she stated firmly. And pulled Collin into a hug.
He pulled away shortly after and smiled up at her, still a couple inches shorter than her. Collin's eyes went void when he remembered what he did beneath the Stacey's window.
Caitlin noticed it only a few seconds after he started getting into the memory.
"Collin, what's going on?" She asked with a slight shakiness in her voice. Collin didn't make any notation that he was going to answer, so Caitlin guided him to the nearest and mostly empty store, which happened to be a jewelry store. "It's... not just about... you cheating on Samantha, is it? What happened?"
Collin mentally cursed himself for being so easy to read. She was right, it definitely was not just about the breakup with his girlfriend--ex-girlfriend. It was about the rush he got from saving that woman from those men that kept playing back in his mind that distracted him from his everyday activities. Such as spending time with his older sister by casually going to the mall.
"Caitlin, I know I can trust you. But this, I don't think I can tell you about this."
"This is big, isn't it Collin?" She asked with concern lacing her voice.
"It's bigger than anything ever, that's happened to me." He said truthfully, the words spewing out before he could stop them.
"Bigger than dating Thea Queen in high school?" Caitlin joked with a laugh. Collin was still somber about it and wasn't in the mood, visible to Caitlin. "Ok. If I tell you something, will you tell me what's been going on with you?" Caitlin said, about ready to share the huge secret she kept from her little brother.
"Only if it's as huge as this." He said, really having no idea what Caitlin was getting at.
Caitlin suppresses a wide smile and settled on a small grin, almost laughing. "I don't believe it is, but let's see." She looked around the store to see if there were any cameras around before looking at Collin. "Look at my hand, ok?" She said.
He easily did. And his eyes went wide when his sisters hand turned icy with no reaction to the sudden burst of coldness on her part.
When the frost stopped circulating her hand, a small lone icicle lay in the palm of her hand and she giddily looked at her brother, happy to finally show him what she could do.
Collin's mouth was wide open, without a single audible reaction.
"Oh and also," Caitlin nodded to the tv.
Collin was still astounded but he turned to the tv in the corner of the small store which had the Central City News Channel on.
"The Flash and Killer Frost once again saving the day by stopping Griffin, the obsessed fanatic of Griffin Grey who was put to a stop by the flash years ago..." The anchorwoman later went on.
"Killer Frost needs a better codename. She isn't even a bad guy anymore," Collin said absentmindedly. He still had not grasped the fact that he was talking about his sister.
"Yeah true, I was thinking of going by Crystal Frost." Caitlin said to her brother.
Collin looked at the icicle resting in her hand, and back to the tv, and to his sister again. "You're Killer Frost. She's you, you're her."
Caitlin nodded with a smile. She gave her brother a moment to let it sink in.
"Now, Collin. I need you to be honest with me. What's been going on?" She asked.
"The day I cheated on Sam at that girl's house, there were some guys harassing a woman below the fire escape. So I went down there and beat their asses. I can't shake the feeling of doing something like that again." He said, actually feeling guilty.
"Collin, that's nothing to worry about. Being a hero runs in the family." She said simply.
"Wait 'til Cooper finds out. He just got a sister and she's a superhero."
Caitlin was taken aback. But she smiled on. "Mhm. True. He'd be really shocked," she said hiding the fact that she told a man she only knew for a few months over the brother she'd known her whole life.
"Caitlin. He already knows doesn't he?" Collin said, jealousy in his voice.
Caitlin was terrible at hiding the fact with her way too obvious expressions of bewilderment.
Collin puckered his lips up in a 'you serious?' way. Caitlin just playfully shrugged and couldn't think of anything else to do.
"Hey, let's talk more about my Good Samaritan brother..."
