A/N: So I started another story earlier tonight but I've already gotten bored with how I've written it so here! Have this instead XD it's currently 10:47 pm on 3/10/21 and Ik this won't be done anytime soon but I'm hoping since I plan on making this a shorter one that it'll be done sooner. Anyways on with the story!

Misunderstandings

Third Person POV

Her name was Willow. The key word there being was. She was Willow Mary West for eleven and a half years of her life. She had long flowy red hair that went down past her waist, bright emerald green eyes that were unrivaled, and freckles that smattered her entire being. As far as eleven year olds went, she was a natural beauty.

She was unnaturally smart, too. She somehow managed to get above a 4.0 GPA multiple years in a row, her favorite subject being chemistry and her dream to follow in her uncle's footsteps and be a forensic scientist.

Of course, she was too smart for her own good.

That summer, Willow recreated the accident that made her Uncle Barry the Flash, and while a majority of her hair had been burned off and she'd had to buzz it, she was now the fastest girl alive. She was beyond thrilled, and once her uncle had gotten over how much danger she'd put herself in she began badgering him about being his partner. Not sidekick though. Never sidekick. Partner. And so almost six months later Kid Flash made her first debut in a fight against the Rogues.

That was when things really changed.

Willow was still young and hadn't hit puberty yet, so she was terribly lanky and thin. She didn't mind of course, but the Rogues had furrowed their brows and Captain Cold had yelled that Flash wasn't feeding his son enough food. Willow had bit her lip, more than ready to retort, but Barry had already launched himself at Len and cuffed him. When the Rogues were taken away, the news anchors came in and immediately began questioning who Willow was. She'd smirked and jabbed a thumb at her chest, shoulders pinned back in pride.

"I'm Kid Flash, the Flash's new partner!" With that the two speedsters zipped away, and one of the anchors looked right into the camera.

"There you have it folks! Who is Kid Flash? Perhaps the Flash's son? Another mystery and another speedster to add to Central City!"

When her parents had asked why the anchor called her a him, Willow had furrowed her brows. "But I'm not a dude! I'm totally a girl!"

Barry had placed an arm on her shoulder and bit his lip. "Maybe this will work out." When the three Wests looked ready to protest he held his hands up. "Just hear me out. A lot of people would attack Willow here for being female, would target her for indecent things because of her gender. Pretending to be a male might be the safer route to go, and with her slender frame we'll be in the clear for at least a few years. We can figure the rest out later."

And so that's how Willow became Wally.

Sure, the nickname wasn't really necessary, but it helped to make sure there weren't any slip ups. Besides, Wally seemed better than Willy. That made her think of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and that just made her hungry and that wouldn't help anybody. So Wally it was. Her buzz cut eventually grew back out, but she kept it in a pixie cut since it helped her maintain her boyish look. Besides, her hair grew unnaturally fast and she needed it cut every week so it wouldn't be obvious how fast it grew. She didn't mind either, but she was constantly misgendered and called names for the way she chose to dress. She preferred the button up shirts and fun band T-shirts she typically wore. While they were more masculine, they were more comfortable than the tight tank tops and booty shorts most girls wore. She was the resident 'dike' but couldn't care less what others thought. She was straight last she checked, and she'd never been one to care what others thought about her.

She was twelve and a half when she met Robin for the first time. She'd squealed in delight, rushing up to him and shaking his gloved hand frantically. The poor kid wore a look between shocked and terrified. "Hi! I'm Kid Flash, but you can call me Wally! Oh man, I can't believe I'm finally meeting you! I've been looking up to you for ages dude! I think it's so cool what you do!"

"Uh..."

Barry ran a hand down his face, placing a hand on his hip. "Sorry about that. He's just a bit excited. Batman, Robin, this is my nie-ephew Wally. He's still a bit new so take it easy on him."

Batman looked at Barry knowingly and the older speedster slapped the Dark Knight's arm. "We're going to look for Joker. He's escaped Arkham again so you two are to stay here." The two mentors were gone within the second leaving their protégés on the rooftop. Robin growled and slumped down onto the floor.

"This is so dumb. He always leaves me behind!"

Willow sat by his side, hands in her lap. "Well maybe he's scared you'll get hurt. I'm sure you can take care of yourself just fine, but there are some pretty crazy people out there. My Uncle's always kept me away from the real big baddies since he loves me. I'm sure Batman is the same way."

Robin scoffed. "Batman doesn't do loving."

"Everybody does loving. They just have a different way of showing it. Nobody's emotionless, unless you have alexythimia. Then you might have some problems."

Robin tilted his head. "Alexythimia?"

Willow nodded excitedly. "Yeah! It's basically when someone feels little to no emotions! It's actually estimated that one in ten people have it, and-"

"Why do you know that?"

Her shoulders shrunk up to her neck. "I have too much time on my hands. Besides, I like learning random things. It's fun."

Robin absolutely beamed at her. "What do you know about CIP?"

When the two mentors returned, Kid Flash and Robin were cackling on the rooftop and smiling widely at one another.

That was the first time Willow really made a best friend.

She remembers meeting Roy Harper. He'd been a bit rude at first, but he was a tough love kinda dude, and Willow had never had a problem before getting people to open up to her. She found that if you were an open person then there was really no reason they had to distrust you. Sure, she wasn't exactly being honest about her gender, but that wasn't a big deal. People changed genders all the time nowadays, or at least her uncle said that, so if she decided to be a boy when in her uniform then who had any right to judge her? The point was that she eventually got through to Speedy, and soon enough the two of them and Robin were thick as thieves. They said they were three brothers, and Willow never bothered to correct them.

When she turned fourteen, puberty hit her like a bus. She'd been out on patrol with Robin and Speedy since their three mentors were after Joker (again), and they were chilling in the Batcave. Willow ran around with a jar of miniature plastic babies no larger than her thumb, placing the hideous things all throughout the Cave. She wanted Batman finding these for years. Robin rubbed at his forehead as Roy slammed his cards on the table. "I win."

Robin smirked then, laying his own cards on the table. "Nice try, Speedy."

Willow ran over to them, cocking her head to the side as she watched. "What did you end up playing?"

"Crazy Eights," the youngest member offered with a shrug. Willow pursed her lips but nodded, about to finish her baby infiltration when her stomach felt like it'd been tied into a million knots. She grimaced and her two brothers immediately took note. "Hey Wally, you alright there?"

She furrowed her brow. "I don't feel too good. I think I need the toilet." Before either could reply she was running for the nearest bathroom, struggling out of her suit and yanking it down. She wrapped her arms around her stomach as if that would alleviate the pain, eyes closed. When she opened them, she was met with the sight of thick blood staining most of her baby blue undies and through part of her red uniform.

With absolute terror, she screamed.

Robin came running in, Roy not far behind. "Wally?! Are you okay?!" She looked up at Roy and tears rolled down her face.

"I think I need Uncle Barry."

When both boys saw the bloodied (and very feminine) underwear, they immediately backed out and Robin easily stated "I'll get Alfred."

That was the night they figured out that "Wallace Rudolph West" was indeed a woman. Alfred had insisted on calling her Mistress Willow since that was her real name and she had shaken her head, saying that was unnecessary. Robin had stared in shock and Roy looked ready to pass out from the new information. Willow had furrowed her brows and explained the situation, asking what the big deal was.

"It's just... we both thought you were a dude."

She shook her head. "Nah. Uncle Barry thought it would be safer if people thought I was a guy. I'm a girl though, in case you can't tell."

Robin frowned. "And that was... your first time?"

"What? Starting my period?" He nodded. "Yeah. I kinda forgot that was a thing, but it's fine. I've got some killer cramps but I've been hurt worse before so I'll live."

"What are you gonna do when you..." Roy cupped his hands in the air where his chest was. "...develop."

Willow scoffed. "I already have a plan for that. A light binder and some padding around my shoulders, waist, and groin should keep up appearances. I already wear some padding on my sides so people don't see the curves." She was in a pair of Dick's boxers and a large baggy powder blue T-shirt that went down to her mid thighs since Alfred thought one of Batman's shirts was somehow appropriate. Both of her brothers stared at her as if searching for any kind of figure hiding beneath the oversized clothing and she rolled her eyes.

When Batman, Green Arrow, and Barry returned to the cave it was to find the two boys staring at Willow with rapt attention as they questioned her about what it was like to be a girl. She had always been open with them and didn't refrain herself, indulging them with her vast knowledge. Batman had raised an eyebrow, Barry had shrieked over the fact she'd started her period for the first time and he hadn't been there to help, and Oliver passed out on the spot.

That night was also the night that Robin decided if Willow could be open about who she was, then he could tell his two best friends and siblings who he was too. Willow had absolutely beamed at Robin when the mask was removed and he held out one of his hands. "Hi. My name's Richard Grayson, but my friends call me Dick."

She'd smiled and shook it in the same fashion she had when she first met him, eyes crinkling in excitement. "Nice to meet you! My name's Willow Mary West, but when I'm Kid Flash most call me Wally." She blushed a little as she said her next words. "You have really pretty eyes, too. Just so you know."

Dick had blinked a few times and Oliver had cackled, getting a sharp elbow on each side from Batman and Flash.

The trio saw each other out of costume a lot after that. They'd hang out or keep one another company at the dumb galas Bruce and Ollie made them go to, and liked hanging out in Willow's tiny room playing Call of Duty Black Ops, typically playing a free for all in Nuke town.

When the team was made, Willow had almost cried over the fact Roy had left and her Uncle Ollie had replaced him so easily with some blonde chick. "She's not him! She'll never be him!" Dick had nodded and the two had avoided the green clad archer for as long as they could. Eventually though Dick didn't see the harm in having a good archer on the team and after months of arguing, Willow and Artemis had become reluctant allies.

Things actually went pretty well up until the whole Doctor Fate incident. When she'd been possessed, all the padding had disappeared and left her body in a form fitting Doctor Fate uniform. The team had gaped at her and Fate had looked at them, his voice overlapping her own. She'd always used a voice modulator to hide her gender, so now that it wasn't there she was completely exposed.

Artemis had stared at Willow with wide eyes. "W-Wally?"

Fate had raised a brow, staring at her with brilliant green eyes. "Were you unaware of your teammate's identity?" When the archer didn't respond, Fate scoffed. "It seems Miss Willow is not as open as she pretends to be."

"Willow?!"

When everything was done, the five other members as well as Zatanna looked at her with shock. She held the helmet under her arm and glowered at them all. "We can talk about this when we get back to the mountain."

The ride back was completely silent. Even Willow didn't move, which was definitely a sign of trouble. When they went to debrief Batman on what happened, Willow had swiftly removed her cowl. She ran a hand through her hair, ruffling it and allowing the gel she usually applied to fall out a bit. With no mask and her hair falling in natural waves, it was easy to tell she was a female. She looked at Batman, knowing the question was there. She explained what happened, finishing off with how Fate had exposed her and she had made a promise to find him a new wielder. Batman had nodded in understanding and left, the seven teens all standing there awkwardly. With a groan, Willow raised her finger. "Let me change and put this away. Meet at the couch in five."

She showered, the helmet placed with her other souvenirs. She threw on some jeans, removed her binder and put on a real bra, and tugged on a soft red flash T-shirt and a plain yellow button down. She ran out into the kitchen, grabbing a few cookies and making a bowl of popcorn before walking to the lounging area, plopping down in one of the chairs. Megan was already there, as were Robin and Kaldur. Soon enough Artemis, Zatanna, and Conner joined and with six pairs of eyes settled on her Willow squirmed.

"Alright Baywatch. Explain."

She sighed, running a hand through her soft wavy red hair. "I guess I should start at the beginning." Some of them sat back in shock at her voice since it was so feminine. Who knew voice modulators could make such a huge difference. "My name is Willow Mary West. When I became Kid Flash I was often mistaken for a boy, and since my uncle thought it would be safer he insisted I keep up the male persona. So I did. Robin figured out like, two years ago, so besides him and one or two other heroes you're the only ones who know." She shrugged, popping a few more pieces of popcorn into her mouth. "I'm sorry for lying to you all. It's not something I'm proud of, and I know it can be painful to hear one of your teammates didn't tell you the truth."

"Why didn't you?" Superboy looked a bit peeved and Willow sighed.

"Because I've been lying to people since I was twelve. I'm sixteen now; four years of telling people I'm someone I'm not tends to make me a little paranoid. I know you'd all accept me, but... it's hard when I've been lying for such a long time."

Kaldur looked her over before nodding. "While I am upset you lied to us, you are still our teammate. We are grateful you have told us this information."

Artemis glowered. "Yeah, but that's just it! She didn't tell us! She was forced to because of Doctor Fate!"

Willow growled. "You know what? Screw you! Do you have any idea how envious I am of you?" The room was instantly silent, ready to hear what their speedster had to say. "You get to be you while being a superhero. I'm still me, but I can't do as much girly stuff because of who I'm supposed to be! To you all, I'm Wally West, not Willow. I've been stuck pretending to be a guy because I thought I had no choice, so bug off Artemis! You might hate dresses, but I love them! I like feeling pretty, I like to put on some makeup sometimes and feel feminine, but even then I can never really do that because then my identity would be jeopardized! I'd give anything to have the long soft hair you have, but this is as long as I've let it get for four years because I can't let it grow out! So yeah, my hand was forced, but I don't care. I had a hard enough time telling you all about it as it was. Don't blow up on me because you can't understand." She looked at the shocked faces and scoffed. "I'm leaving." The zeta beams loudly declared Recognized: B03 Kid Flash as the teen left her teammates behind.

She didn't return to the mountain the next day, or the next, or the next. When she didn't come back that Friday, the team decided to take matters into their own hands. They dressed in civvies and followed Robin as he led them to Willow's house. They'd been coming up to her house when Robin quickly shuffled them behind a corner and they poked their heads out to stare at the happy girl walking on the sidewalk.

"-and that should help you on your electromagnetic project for the science fair! If you need any help with it then let me know." A pretty teen with long black hair walked at her side, nodding along.

"I still don't get how you know all this stuff, Willow. Seriously, I think it's crazy you have a 4.4 GPA."

"What?!" Artemis hissed the word out in shock and Robin whacked her on the head.

"Shush! She's a certified genius, she just doesn't express it. She tries to keep her civilian identity and superhero persona as different as possible."

"It's actually a 4.6 GPA, Linda." The girl named Linda laughed and shook her head.

"Yeah, okay Willow. I'll see you on Monday and I'll text you to see if my mom will let us hang out tomorrow after the dance!"

Willow smiled, her hair styled to curve around her head in a similar manner to the stereotypical BTS hairstyle. It looked good on her. She nodded excitedly and waved. "I'll see you soon then Linda! Have a good rest of your day!" She stayed on her porch and watched her friend walk a few houses down before they both waved and went inside their homes. The group of six hiding along the side of Willow's house watched through the window as she kicked her shoes off, picking them up and running upstairs. The house was surprisingly clean, and with an invisibility spell on Zatanna's part as well as a hovering spell they were all waiting outside Willow's window on the second floor. She had it cracked open to let some fresh air in as she quickly did her homework. The team took that time to examine her room. It wasn't overly large, but she had a bunk bed with a desk space under it instead of a second mattress. There were Flash posters and a few figurines, as well as a large chemistry set in one corner of the room. Her closet doors had been removed and displayed her organized clothes and soft fairy lights decorating the rim mixed in with some faux vines. Her bed posts had similar lights and decor, a few fake flowers dotted in there. Her ceiling was painted black and faded down onto her walls until it was a soft blue at the baseboards, constellations and stars painted within the black. Overall it was a beautiful room, not overly feminine but still gorgeous nonetheless.

The group of six watched her toss her backpack onto her floor, plopping down to swivel in her chair. She leaned back, running her hands through her hair and settling them on her neck. The team almost approached when Willow's phone rang and she instantly picked it up, excited face falling a bit at whoever was calling but answering nonetheless. She smiled softly and accepted the call, twirling in her chair. "So what'd your mom say?" Whoever was talking must've said something because Willow beamed. "Yes! Okay, I'm gonna FaceTime you so you can help me pick out an outfit for tomorrow." She hung up, only to call the person back. Linda's loud voice echoed through the room.

"So since it's the school dance we need you to wear something cute but simple. What about your black dress?" Willow rummaged through her closet, brows pursed.

"Nah. It clashes with my complexion too much. Maybe something on the lighter side?"

"Oh! What about my pink dress?"

Willow gagged. "Sorry, but pink doesn't match my hair color at all. With my tone we should probably find something with cooler colors like blues and greens and purples. But purple doesn't look good on me either so maybe blues and greens would be the better choice. Perhaps I could wear this?" She turned to her closet, removing a knee length dress that was a soft green at the shoulders and faded down to a deep forest green. It almost had a fifties style to it with its silky simplicity, but it looked like it would suit Willow well. There were soft thin vines dancing across the fabric, a few small daisies scattered across. She held it up to her phone and Linda gasped.

"Why didn't you tell me you had that?!"

Willow chuckled and rubbed her neck. "I just got it the other day when I was out shopping with my Aunt Iris. Best part? It has pockets."

Linda shrieked. "OH MY GOSH POCKETS?!"

Willow smiled and jumped up and down. "I know right?! Anyways what do you plan on wearing? You have a warmer skin tone so your pink dress would actually look amazing on you. Maybe you should try that!"

"What shoes would I even wear?"

Willow pursed her lips before grinning slyly. "You still have those gold Gladiator sandals?" When she received a nod she beamed. "Okay, wear those and your baby pink dress. I think I can go get you some golden laurels from Hobby Lobby and I can incorporate them into your hair. Maybe a half up half down or a really loose braid?"

"Oh my gosh can you please? I can do something with your hair too if you'd like!"

Willow scoffed and Artemis wilted at the bitter look that crossed her face. "My hair's too short. I doubt you could do much with it."

"I could probably do a small loose four way braid on the side there and add a few faux daisies in there!" Willow smiled softly and nodded. "Great! So then you can still spend the night at my house after right?"

"Yup! I'm off work for the weekend. I doubt they'll even need me anyways, and my Uncle said he wouldn't call me in for any help at the lab." The team winced at Willow's pained dismissal. Obviously she was still hurt by what the team said. "I've got that dinner tonight though with my parents and the principal so wish me luck!"

Linda rolled her eyes. "You and I both know the meeting is about seeing if you can skip a grade again. I can't believe you might graduate before me!"

Willow laughed, pulling out a simple baby blue blouse and some black skinny jeans. "It's not that big of a deal. Besides, we both plan on going to Central City's community college right?" Linda nodded and Willow tugged her large unbuttoned shirt off her back, leaving her in khaki shorts and a large T-shirt. "Okay, the dinner is supposed to be ready in a few minutes so I'll text you later. Bye Linda!"

"See you tomorrow Willow!" She hung up and the girls on the team quickly shielded the boys' eyes as the red head changed. Megan was a bit shocked the ginger didn't speed her way through changing for once. Artemis had to admit she was pretty shocked Willow had any curves at all. Clearly her KF suit hid a lot more than any of them realized.

When the boys were finally allowed to look, Dick almost tripped on thin air in his surprise. He hadn't seen Willow in girly clothes since the last gala she went to almost a year ago. She looked beautiful in her form fitting blue shirt and dark jeans. She even went and sat in her chair to put on a faint amount of bronze eyeshadow and some black mascara. When she was finished getting ready, she looked herself over in one of the small mirrors in her room and took a deep breath. "Okay, Willow. You can do this. Just focus on the dinner and don't eat too much. Principal Gallagher will be gone before you know it, and then you can put on your pjs and see if Dick and Roy are online and maybe we can all play COD. Or Minecraft." She shook her arms out, a sad look crossing her face before she slapped her cheeks and placed on a fake smile that the team was all too familiar with. "You got this. Totally cool. Totally... turbed. Yeah. Yeah, I'm gonna do great." With that she walked out of her room at a terribly slow pace, closing her door behind her. The team opened the window and quickly went into the now unoccupied room. Robin looked grim while Megan looked heartbroken.

"Does she always look so sad?"

Artemis walked over to look at the collage of pictures covering the back of her door while Robin nodded. "She hides a lot of her problems behind smiles. She used to say that most people needed a smile more than she did, so she'd smile for those that needed to see it. Never for herself; always for others."

"What's all this?" Robin walked over and smiled softly at the multitude of photos taken between him, Willow, Roy, Linda, and the West and Allen and Garrick families.

"Those are all of Willow's pictures." He pulled at a loose corner on one of them and the whole collage opened like a paper door to reveal an entire layer of pictures under it. "And these are all of the team." Pictures of Willow talking with Artemis, baking cookies with Megan, watching static with Conner and laughing loudly while Kaldur smiled softly, even a few with Zatanna showing Willow magic tricks. There were a ton of her and Robin and Speedy- Red Arrow now- as well as a multitude of her with the Flash and Green Lantern and Green Arrow and even some of her laughing while Batman actually grinned. There were some of her with the Rogues and Robin cackled at a picture of a crying Willow and a frantic blonde in the back with purple streaked through his hair. "That picture is one of her villains. They're good friends but James loves darts and accidentally got her in one of her fingers one time. I think she still has the scar for that."

With a small shake of his head, Robin pulled up the computer on his watch (since he was in his civvies) and began typing, eventually gaining the rest of the team's attention. "What are you doing Robin?"

He glanced at Kaldur before returning his attention to the holographic computer in front of him. "Pulling up the cameras I placed in Willow's kitchen to watch the dinner."

"You did what?!" Zatanna looked horrified and Robin gave a motion that looked as if he were shooing the young girl away.

"Oh, please. We've known each other for years. Besides, she's like my best friend. I gotta keep an eye on her."

"That's not creepy at all," Artemis commented.

"Yeah, yeah, whatever." A small holographic image of the kitchen appeared, Willow walking tall and with confidence toward a fat balding man.

"It's so good to see you, Principal Gallagher! How have you been?" The girl smiled widely, completely oblivious to the six teens watching her shake hands with the old educator. Her parents were already sitting at the table, a large dinner laid out before them.

"I've been well, Miss West. How are your extracurriculars going?"

"They're well. I've managed to split a lot of my free period between tutoring others and community service. I've also been really enjoying choir. I'm glad the program was brought back."

The principal smiled brightly at her before looking at Willow's parents. "Your daughter is probably one of the smartest women I've ever met, and she's barely sixteen! She still has her internship at Star Labs, correct?"

"Yes, Willow spends an hour after school helping out some of the scientists at Star Labs in Central City."

The six heroes watched the dinner quietly, wide eyed at the sight of their resident speedster eating like a civilized person. It was almost wrong to watch. The girls had ended up looking through the redhead's closet, whispering excitedly about her good taste while Kaldur and Robin watched the dinner. Conner was idly looking at the chemistry set and some of the Flash figurines, frowning at the Trickster figurine. The dinner seemed to go well, the head of Central City High School declaring that it wouldn't be a problem making Willow a senior before excusing himself. As soon as the door closed, the freckled teen was zipping up to her parents and eagerly hugging them. "Yes! I did it!"

"We knew you could, honey," Rudolph said with a smile.

"Oh man, I've gotta go tell Rob about it. He's gonna-"

She frowned, brows creasing. "Willow, what is it sweetie?" She looked at Mary with a shaky smile.

"It's nothing, Mom."

The team watched as Willow was engulfed in a hug, her shoulders sagging against her mother. "Oh, my baby. Did you finally tell Robin how you feel?"

Willow reeled back, unaware that five sets of eyes were staring at the Boy Wonder. "What?! Mom, no! He... I doubt he likes me anyways. Pretty sure he sees me as a sister or something," she mumbled. "That's not the problem though! It's... I told my teammates that I'm a girl. They got mad at me, said I lied."

Mary guided the girl to the dinner table, filling up a large plate for the redhead to eat. "Willow dear, your teammates have no room to judge you. Everyone has secrets. It's hard not to. If they're going to react to you by being mean though, then they're not your friends. Friends don't treat one another like that."

Willow sighed, swallowing the bite that had been in her hand. "Yeah, I know. It's just... I love the team. I can't just... I don't wanna leave them, Ma."

Tears filled her eyes and Rudy hugged her tightly. "Willow, you are such a strong woman. You can do anything and be whoever you wanna be. Don't let some petty and hypocritical heroes tell you otherwise. You be you, and don't let anyone boss you around. You're a West, and us West kids are near indestructible!" He flexed his not so muscular arm, earning a giggle from the ginger.

"Thanks Dad. Thanks Mom. I love you both."

"We love you too, honey." Robin looked over at Megan, frantically motioning at her.

"We need to leave now! She'll be up here any second!" He hissed the words out, and with the help of Zatanna the six teens were out the window and invisible in the air moments before Willow walked into her room. She collapsed onto her bed, putting one of her arms up and staring at it with a bland expression.

"What am I doing?" Her voice was soft and quiet as she rubbed her hands over her face. "I'm so stupid. I never should have said anything in the first place..."

Kaldur have a pointed look to the Martian and with a slight nod the group of teens were off, leaving the West residence behind. As soon as they were far enough away, Robin shrieked. "Willow likes me?!"

Zatanna laughed, elbowing him in his side. "It's a good thing she does. It's obvious you like her too." The Boy Wonder spluttered indignantly at the magicians silent accusations.

"Team, we need to fix this." Artemis nodded her head in agreement with Kaldur.

"And I've got just the way to fix it," the archer said with a large grin. "This is what we're gonna do..."

Forgot this existed lmfao... line skip~

That Saturday had Willow waking up and heading to Linda's, the two girls hanging out and getting ready together. It was a Greek themed dance, and while it was simple the duo looked stunning as they made their way towards the school together. Willow grinned softly up at the dance, ignoring the depression threatening to take over. The team hadn't called her all day, leaving her to think that maybe she'd been kicked off the team. She didn't want to leave, but she knew when she wasn't wanted.

The dance started out bland, a few kids dancing but not many. As the night progressed, it became more enjoyable. A nice boy named Johnny ended up dancing with Linda, leaving Willow to go eat some of the snacks left out on a table. She brushed a stray strand of hair away from her face, lip trembling at the nonexistent notifications on her phone. She pushed the tears away, blinking rapidly and sucking in on her cheeks for a moment before smiling as she let a breath out. She turned on her heel, fully ready to rejoin the dance floor when she was met with a sight she hadn't expected.

Robin- no, Dick Grayson- stood before her in a slick tuxedo, hair gelled back and blue eyes crinkling in the corners as he smiled at her. Seeing her best friend wasn't what shocked Willow though.

It was the other five members of the team standing behind Dick that left her reeling. Conner and Megan were both dressed in black and blue themed clothing, Megan's hair pinned up into a high bun. Kaldur stood in a turtleneck, a bow tie wrapped around it. Zatanna and Artemis held hands, and-

"Oh my god, Arty! What did you do to your hair?!" Willow openly gaped at the now blonde bob cut that the archer wore. It looked really good on her actually, though the speedster wasn't sure how Artemis would achieve her slick ponytail look anytime soon.

"Well, we all talked things through and realized that we overreacted. We all have secrets that we were scared to talk about, and figured that maybe after your dance we can go to the Cave and talk things out. Is that... is that okay?"

Willow smiled warmly at the blonde, eagerly wrapping her arms around her. "That's perfect Arty. Thank you, all of you." She smirked at the yellow and green theme both Artemis and Zatanna had. "So when did this happen?" Both girls blushed a bright red and Willow cackled loudly. "You two look great, seriously. I'm glad you finally got together."

A tap on her shoulder had Willow turning to look down at the slightly shorter boy standing before her. His blue eyes were bright, the green tie he wore clashing with his cerulean irises. "Speaking of getting together..." Dick reached out and held Willow's hand in his own, smiling softly up at her. "Willow Mary West. I've had the biggest crush on you since the moment you told Roy and I the truth. You're an amazing woman, and amazing person, and you make me so happy. I know I'm not perfect, and I know I can be a real pain in the ass sometimes, but you're the most asterous person I know. If it's okay with you, do you... do you maybe wanna dance with me?"

Willow's breath caught in her throat, her cheeks turning a bright red as she nodded vehemently. "I'd love to, Dick." The first minute or so was a bit awkward, and Willow raised an eyebrow as she smirked down at the Boy Wonder. "So, how'd they react? Did Arty flip her shit like I knew she would?"

Dick chuckled, nodding his head. "Oh yeah, I'll be getting wailed on in the training room for weeks." They both grew relaxed then, leaning against one another and embracing in the fact they both felt the same way.

In the end, the dance was great. Willow ended up getting a text from Linda saying she saw the redhead with the infamous Dick Grayson and decided to let the two have their fun. They'd have their sleepover another night.

The seven went to the Cave that night, talking for hours and being truly open and honest. Willow had freaked out a little when she figured out they'd been spying on her, but hadn't been shocked about the cameras in her house. "Oh yeah, I've known about those for years," she said as she leaned into the couch, arm wrapped around Dick's shoulders. "Rob here can be a bit overprotective sometimes. Being raised by the Bat makes his paranoia go off the charts."

Dick had grumbled about that while Artemis sat forward, eyes bulging from her head. "Wait, if Dick is Robin, does that mean Bruce Wayne is Batman?!"

To say the Dark Knight was unpleasant the next evening as a green clad archer followed him around was an understatement.

Bonus scene:

Kaldur watched the dance from the edge of the room, drinking a cup of water and silently munching on some pretzels. The black haired girl Willow had been hanging out with approached the table, grabbing snacks of her own. When she saw the blonde looking at the three couples on the dance floor, she laughed and approached the Atlantean. "I take it you're on your own?"

He sighed, nodding. "My friends are all together. It is not very enjoyable since I am almost always a seventh wheel for their dates."

Linda smirked. "Well I'm sure my friend Jake would love to meet you. You dress fruity enough."

Kaldur frowned as he was dragged by the arm away from the snack table. "Fruity? I'm unaware of what that means."

Linda sent him a knowing look. "Yeah, you're definitely fruity. Hey Jake, I think I got you a dance partner!"

A/N: So that's basically it! Let me know what you think and please read and review! The end is a bit lame, but I've had this in my documents for ages and wanted to post it so I can start finishing some of my stories.
