The fourteen year old girl ran as fast as she could through the forest, her breath was shallow and her legs were aching from running so much. From behind her, she could hear the snarling of the beast that was chasing her and feel its hot breath as she fled. "I didn't steal your eggs!" she exclaimed and hid behind a giant daisy. The creature growled and seemed to sniff for her scent. "What a day to forget my dagger!" She whispered to herself and tried steadying her breathing. She heard the creature get closer and closer and seeing a maze nearby, she knew she had no choice but to go into it. Glancing at the dragon, she ran as fast as she could into the maze, the creature close behind.

"Keep running my dear, make a left, then a right, then center, then a loop and you're safe. There's others waiting for you there." a grey kitten appeared with a grin. "Pleasure to see you again too, Cheshire. Thanks for the help." she replied with a huff and kept running. "I'm not sure I can go much farther!" she panted. "Have fun Natalie~" the cat laughed and with that, he disappeared from tail to head, leaving behind a lingering grin that disappeared shortly after. She turned a corner only to run into something rather hard. "Ow!" she said as she fell down. "Hey watch it!" an older boy warned and squatted before her. "What's the rush kid?" he asked with a bored yawn. "Jabberwocky...chasing…." she panted heavily. His eyes widened and he gave her an amused smirk. "This will be fun. Come on kid." he grinned as he helped her up. "Thank you." she replied and dusted herself off. The Jabberwocky was now right before them. "How do we outrun this?!" she huffed. "Easy, I just have to run faster than you kid." the man in the hat exclaimed as he ran away. "HEY!" she yelled and ran in the opposite direction.

Much to her dismay, the way she went led her to a dead end. "A little help here Cheshire!" she exclaimed as she inched closer to the wall, the jabberwocky growling was about to eat her. She braced herself for whatever pain she may be in. Instead, the Jabberwocky lifted its claw to her and showed her a gash on its foot. She was puzzled but sighed in relief. "Is that it? You're just hurt?" she asked and the Jabberwocky, seeming to understand her, nodded in reply. "You poor thing. Here, let me see what I have in my satchel." she replied as she rummaged through her satchel for some sort of first aid things. "Ah! Here we are! I found some gauze and ointment. This should help you." she smiled and poured water from her canteen over the wound to clean it before gently applying the ointment to the gash. "It's not too bad. Don't worry. You'll be back to normal in no time!" she grinned and wrapped the wound in gauze. "There! That should do it!" she hummed and the Jabberwocky seemed to smile at her and nuzzle her face before flying away. "Thank God!" she let out a huff in relief and sat against the wall.

"Nice show kid." the boy grinned. "Oh it's you again." she rolled her eyes. "On the contrary, I'm quite impressed. The name's Jefferson, at your service." he introduced himself as he took off his hat and bowed. "Um… nice to meet you, I guess. My name's Natalie." she replied. "Natalie? That's a nice name." he smirked and straightened himself. "Sorry we got off on the wrong foot, how about you join me for a cup of tea?" he asked with a seemingly sincere smile. Natalie shrugged, "Why not? You don't seem too bad." she joked and together they walked to through the maze and to his little tea party where two other boys were sitting.

"Hey! Who said you two morons could join?!" Jefferson sneered as he walked towards the table that was decorated with cakes, cupcakes, and a variety of teas. The black haired boy scarfed down a cupcake and smiled, "Aww come on Jefferson, why so cold? We did help you find that crystal in the caverns." "Yes and then you proceeded to literally stab me in the back you little brat!" Jefferson countered defensively.

"Wait, wait, wait! Jefferson, there's a lady here! You two shouldn't argue in front of a lady." the blonde with onyx eyes quickly interrupted and bowed towards Natalie, "Good afternoon miss, please allow me to introduce myself, I am Lenjamin, feel free to call me Len." he introduced himself and smiled at her as he straightened himself. He didn't seem much older than she was. "Pleased to meet you Len, I'm Natalie." she replied with a pleasant smile. "Len! Stop flirting with her!" The black haired boy with red eyes scolded before clearing his throat. "Afternoon Natalie, I'm Toma, Len's twin brother. Do excuse the arguing." he continued and smiled rather shyly. "Well it's nice to meet you all. Jefferson, they don't seem too bad. What harm could one cup of tea do?" Natalie questioned timidly.

"You don't know them like I do but for your sake, one cup won't hurt." Jefferson sighed and began serving tea to everyone.

Unbeknownst to them, this would be the start of a wonderful partnership and friendship.
