Three years had now passed since their first task together. The two were currently in a meeting with a probable client, discussing their next job.

Jefferson, who was now twenty, raised an eyebrow at the younger girl and back at the client. "What do you think?" He asked. His arms were crossed over his chest in an attempt to conceal his excitement.

"Let's take the job." Natalie whispered to her partner with a smirk.

She was seventeen now, with wavy, dark brown hair that reached below her waist and was typically worn in a ponytail or a bun. She had grown up, both mentally and physically, she had a more feminine figure and was slightly chubby, but it went well with her personality. She was bubbly, more optimistic but realistic at the same time. She was still as responsible as ever but she had learned to loosen up a little, obviously picking it up from Jefferson.

"Alright." He replied and looked at the client.

The client was a tall, dapper, young man. He didn't seem older than his mid-twenties, with pitch black hair and intense silver eyes. He wore a black, fitted suit and shiny, black, dress shoes.

"We'll take the job." Jefferson informed the older man.

"Good, you have a month to find it and bring it to me. No questions asked. Now, my young friends, do we have a deal?" The man smirked and extended his hand to seal the deal with a handshake.

The two glanced at each other and nodded. Jefferson shook the man's hand to seal the deal.

"You will find me here again within the month. Let's see, today is the eighteenth. Our next appointment is February eighteenth, at noon. I'll be waiting." He replied and walked away, stepping into a limo and driving away.

"Well, let's get Toma and Len, they'll be useful this time around." Natalie suggested.

"They sure will. We need to go to Wonderland, The Enchanted Forest, and Oz." He replied after thinking carefully about their next destinations.

Natalie cleared her throat. "Don't you mean Oz, The Enchanted Forest, and then Wonderland?" She raised an eyebrow in suspicion. "Do we have to?" He asked in annoyance.

Yes, the twins were their friends but he wasn't exactly too fond of them. However, he put up with them for Natalie's sake because they were dear friends to her and were a valuable asset to their small team.

"Fine." He sighed in defeat, leaning down to place his hat on the floor and spinning it, which activated the portal.

The two smirked at each other and jumped in.

"No, Jefferson, We're going to Oz." Natalie grabbed him by the collar on his jacket and yanked him towards the emerald curtain door with gold lettering saying 'Oz'.

"You win." He sighs and follows her through the curtain.

"Um, since when did Oz have a Citadel?" Natalie looked at her partner in confusion as they emerged from the curtain.

"Well, something new happens everyday, NitNat." He smiled down at her and walked ahead.

"I hate it when you call me that." She grimaced as she followed the taller young man.

The city of Oz had grown substantially since they had last been there. The yellow brick road seemed to be glossier than before and the emerald had a more brilliant sheen than ever. So shiny in fact, you could see your reflection in the emeralds themselves.

"Jefferson, this whole place is beautiful." She grinned with wide eyed wonderment.

"Of course it is, you're a girl. Girls like jewels." He sighed. "Are we looking for the twins or not??"

"Right, sorry." She jogged to keep up with him. "Where do you suppose the twins are?"

He shrugged, "Probably somewhere selling their goods. So I suggest we search the Emerald city first, since it has a bigger market."

"Well, here we go then." She tied her shoes and continued following him to the Emerald City.

"As much as I love green and emeralds, I think I'm starting to feel sick." Natalie frowned in disgust, rubbing her aching stomach.

"Really? I kinda always thought you were an amethyst kind of girl." Jefferson looked over his shoulder at her.

"Don't worry, amethyst's are on my list too." She assured him.

"Figures." He muttered and kept walking.

"Keep in mind, just because I like jewels, doesn't mean I like jewelry."

"I kinda figured that too. I've never seen you wear jewelry other than that necklace watch of yours."

"The only one's I do wear are earrings. But not dangly one's." She thought for a second.

"Can we focus now?"

"Sorry." She sighed and kept walking.

"Step right up, people! Now's your once in a lifetime opportunity to find some rare oddities and antiques!" A blonde was proclaiming from atop a wagon. Natalie recognized him at once and nudged Jefferson.

"Jefferson, look! There's Len!" She pointed in the direction of the blonde.

Without another thought, Jefferson ran and grabbed him. "We need to go!" He exclaimed.

"Toma!! LET'S GO!!" Len commanded his brother.

"Right behind you!" He called out. "Sorry folks, we gotta run!" He quickly packed up and locked up the wagon.

Natalie helped him push into a makeshift storage unit and they locked it there.

"Nice to see ya, Nat!" He smiled and they ran down the yellow brick road together, chasing after Jefferson and Len. "Nice to see you too!" She replied and ran as fast as she could.

After meeting near the forest, Jefferson spun his hat and jumped into the portal, his friends following behind.

"Which way?" Toma dusted himself off after falling in and nearly landing on his brother.

"The Enchanted Forest." Jefferson quipped and walked towards a wooden door.

"Again? Ugh." Len cringed. He couldn't stand that place, even if it was his homeworld.

"Do we have to?" Toma sighed, crossing his arms over his chest.

"Yes, you two are great at distractions and illusions! We could use your help." Natalie chimed in.

"Natalie needs me...I'm in." Toma looked at Natalie then Jefferson, who rolled his eyes in response.

"Stop flirting. Are you in or not?" Jefferson clenched his jaw.

"I told you, Natalie requires my assistance, so I'm in." Toma spat back. The two were constantly bumping heads like this and it was quite exhausting.

"Jefferson, calm down. They're going to help us." Natalie smacked him, earning a hiss from the young man.

"I didn't say that." Len interrupted, "But if my brother is in, then so am I."

"Great! This will be an easy gig then!" She chirped.

"Well…" Jefferson let out a heavy sigh. "Let's get going." He opened the door and stepped inside.
