"Quickly or we'll be late!" Aldo hurried the two girls as they ran inside the council meeting room and took their seats. "It's about time you arrived. We have an urgent matter to discuss." the council leader named Falkor spoke up and took his place at the council table. The Securas High Council consisted of three members, Falkor Snerpis who was a fae of Chaarn like Jadis but unlike her, he renounced his magic and was a friend of Aslan's; Seftrin Midesha who was a minotaur and leader of the Securian army ; and lastly there was a faun named Lisha Dunbrings who was the head of the music department and was also a counselor for the locals.

"As you know, we have summoned you here in response to rumors of the magic this child has." Falkor began. "We cannot risk having such a grave threat here. Either rid her of the magic or rid the village of her!" Lisha practically barked at the three. "May I speak?" Eirlys spoke up. "No! You are an outcast and therefore don't have a say in this matter." Lisha continued. "Ms. Dunbrings!" Falkor snapped, which caused the faun to cross her arms in rage. "You may speak child." Seftrin answered softly which was unusual for a minotaur. "Well, I was just going to say that I didn't know it was bad, or at least from what I've been told. Why is it so wrong?" Eirlys asked. "Eirlys!" Ziv scolded her. "Perhaps she doesn't know of Aslan?" Seftrin suggested. "Where are you from child?" Falkor asked kindly. "Um, I'm from the White Witch's castle. I grew up in her dungeons and she taught me her magic." Eirlys lied nervously. "I see." Seftrin replied. "It's Jadis, I'm sure the child doesn't know of Aslan. Do you?" Falkor asked. "No sir." she replied. "Aslan is the true ruler of Narnia, he is good and just and everything that is beautiful." Lisha smiled in remembrance of the one time she had met Aslan. "Yes, he is quite wonderful but terrible at the same time." Falkor added. "In a good way. It's a way where you're afraid to disappoint him because of how good he is." Seftrin added in agreement.

"Well if he is the true ruler then why did he leave?" Eirlys asked with an amused look in her dark eyes. The trio glanced at each other and sighed in unison, "We don't know, but we do know he must have had a good reason for leaving us and even at that, he isn't truly gone. If anything, we Narnian's have drawn closer, at least those who remain of us anyway." Falkor said sadly. "But you all have seen Aslan then right?" Eirlys asked hopefully. "Yes, we have." Seftrin smiled. "So he is real?" she asked and they nodded in response. "And I'm here, why?" she asked. "You seem like a good girl, all magic aside anyway. I'll arrange a meeting with the Narnians, perhaps they can help us." Lisha replied. "No! You can't! They're after me too!" she shouted worriedly. "Why? What have you done?!" Falkor panicked. "I-I was in Farlow. Someone found me unconscious and took me to a doctor there. I panicked and,my ice got out of control. They accused me of being a witch and wanted to kill me so I ran and some Narnian army men surrounded me...I was scared and I froze them." she admitted nervously. "I see. Please refrain from magic or next time we will ask you to leave Securas then." Falkor smiled at the girl. "Yes sir." she replied. "I'll see what I can do to clear your name." Seftrin said in a confident tone. "Thank you!" she replied gratefully. "Meeting adjourned. Go about your business." Falkor ordered and stood to leave.

"I was so nervous." Eirlys admitted to her grandparents once they arrived home. "As was I. They were much more calm than I expected." Ziv sighed in relief and hung her coat on the coat hook by the door. "I agree." Aldo replied and put up his hat. "Have you two ever met Aslan?" the child asked as she sat on a chair and glanced at the older couple. "I haven't but your father and grandfather have." Ziv smiled warmly and glanced lovingly at her husband who took a seat by Eirlys. "Yes, let me think." He began in thought. He was silent for a few moments then smiled. "I was in his army back before Jadis took over. Your father was as well. We were caught in a Telmarine camp and he came to our rescue and brought us home safely. We were injured and he breathed on us and we were healed!" the black haired man exclaimed. "Lies!" Eirlys replied skeptically. "No it isn't! When you meet him, you'll see. When you meet him, the best way I've heard it said is this way. When you see him, his brightness and strength and realness, everything about him is just...astounding." Aldo stated in awe as he remembered the great lion. "I guess I'll know if I ever meet him." she hummed in response. "Yes, you'll know him when you see him." Aldo smiled contently and happily read a book on old Narnia.

When night befell them again and everyone was sound asleep, Eirlys was awakened by her grandfather. "Come with me. Get dressed, there's something I want to show you." he whispered softly to her. She rubbed her eyes and yawned as she sat up. "Okay okay." she replied sleepily. Aldo left the room so she could change and waited in the main room for her. Eirlys got up and got changed and met up with him in the main room groggily. "Be quiet." he told her and led her outside and to a field behind the cottage. She couldn't believe her eyes, all around her were rose-like flowers growing from the ground and blooming like tulips. She watched as they blossomed in the moonlight and glowed a beautiful light blue color such as glow worms. As she continued looking around, she saw light bugs flying about from flower to flower and the wind howling in the night. It was cloudy as well and the covering of the moon was so beautiful she had no words to speak as she admired the scenery in awe and wonder.

"Do you like it?" Aldo whispered as he admired seeing his granddaughter in such awe. She nodded since she had no words to speak. Aldo chuckled, " I'm glad you think so. You're father grew up running through these fields you know." he informed her. "He did? What was he like?" she asked sadly. "Oh he was quite naive. He was brave, a true knight and prince. He had your colored hair and hazel eyes. He was tall and broad shouldered. He had a smile that made anyone feel happy, he brightened up every room with his humor and wit. Then he changed when he met your mother. He was once kind and selfless then he became cruel and selfish. It wasn't until it was too late that he fixed his ways." Aldo told her sadly in remembering his lost son. Eirlys didn't say anything, she didn't know what to say. "Come, the sun is rising soon. We must return before Ziv finds out or she'll be jealous." the elder man joked and walked with Eirlys hand in hand back to the cottage.

"We found her!" Raven cheered as she saw the girl through the gate. "She's in Securas, we'll have to-" Redwood began but was silenced by a blow to the face. As he turned, he realized they had crossed into Narnian territory. "Fall back!" Redwood shouted and ran with Raven. "But what about the girl?!" she exclaimed in anger. "Think of a plan first! We need to find Maugrim!" he replied and ran seeking the leader. Meanwhile the Narnian's cheered in victory.

The following morning, the trio was preparing to leave on an errand.

"Grab your jacket, we're going to town for an errand." Ziv told Eirlys who was finishing breakfast. "Alright." she replied with a smile and put her dishes in the sink and ran for her coat that Ziv had given her. The three headed into their wagon. "We can't go out like this. Eirlys hide under this canvas alright?" Aldo said as she laid in the wagon and covered herself in the canvas he told her about. "Axela will be our horse for today. She needs the exercise." Ziv chuckled as she hooked up the horse to the carriage. "Alright then, let's go Axela." Aldo chuckled and she pulled the wagon out the gate when the guard opened it. "Finally some air!" Axela mused and ran out into the open fields. "Easy girl!" Aldo smiled. "We're going to Juniper." Ziv informed the horse who let out a neigh in reply. "You got the flowers and pots right?" Aldo asked his wife. "Of course I did! They're in the back with Leez." Ziv replied, Leez was her nickname for Eirlys who was napping in the back of the wagon. "Oh good!" the man replied and they headed on their way to Juniper.

"Grandma when we can, can we stop for water?" Eirlys sighed. "Of course we can, dear. We're coming upon a well in a few minutes alright?" Ziv replied sweetly. "Thank you!" Eirlys replied muffled through the canvas. "It's hot under here." she mumbled and moved the canvas just enough to get air. It felt relieving since she was sweating under the canvas. "Okay we've stopped. You can get water." Ziv alerted the girl who quickly jumped out of the wagon and stretched. "Ah, my back!" she groaned as she stretched and walked towards the well while the couple waited in the wagon.

"Brings back memories of Zavian and Lavender doesn't it?" Ziv smiled sadly. "Yes it does. I miss them." Aldo said bitterly. "I do too, they were our children. I just hope Gaius is alright, he hasn't been the same since Lavender and Lorcan passed. I wonder if Makino is still alive." Ziv wondered sadly. "Yes, Gaius is due for a visit." he sighed. "Tell me, do you think they're in Aslan's Country?" he continued. "I believe so. They were followers even to the death." Ziv assured him kindly. "One day Ziv, we will see them again." Aldo smiled weakly.

"Okay I'm back! OFF TO ADVENTURE!" Eirlys shouted in excitement and climbed in the back of the wagon. "Alright, alright. We'll get going." Axela replied and carried on to their destination. "Do I have to stay covered?" she asked as the sun was rather warm. "Not right now, but you will when we get close to the village." Ziv sighed. "Thanks!" Eirlys smiled and sat back. She watched the scenery in wonder, she wasn't used to so much greenery or vibrant colors in all her life. She watched the flowers in bloom and the trees swaying in the breeze. "So this is Narnia…" she whispered in awe of the mountains and clear skies.

After a few hours, they arrived at the gates of Juniper and Eirlys hid herself in the back of the wagon as they rode through the town. Once securely in town, Aldo told Eirlys she was safe now and she peeked out of the canvas with a flower pot in hand. She looked around in amazement at the shops and stalls and seeing all the people roaming around. She smiled at first and then they stopped at a flower shop. "Eirlys, help me carry these inside will you?" Ziv asked as she grabbed some flower pots and carried them into the shop. "Okay!" she replied and carried her flowers inside.

"Oh Ziv! You came early!" the shop owner welcomed. "And who's this beautiful young lady?" she asked with a smile. "Oh this is my granddaughter, Eirlys. Eirlys this is Dachi, the shop owner. She's a client of mine." Ziv introduced. "Oh well it's nice to meet you Eirlys." Dachi welcomed. "Likewise Ms. Dachi." Eirlys greeted and sat the pots down at the counter and went to go get the rest while Aldo sat in the wagon, waiting for them. Eirlys reached into the wagon and grabbed the remaining three pots and brought them inside. "Well here are the last of them Grandma." She said and sat them on the window sill. "Thanks Leez." Ziv smiled and Eirlys went back to the wagon, "Grandpa can I look around?" she asked sheepishly. "Sure! Just stay close. Here, you can buy something if you'd like." Aldo smiled and handed his granddaughter ten lions. "Wow thanks!" Eirlys smiled brightly and went looking at some shops. She stopped and watched a blacksmith forge a sword. She loved seeing the hot metal and the sparks flying until she saw a seamstress adding the hem to a dress and she watched that for a while as well. "It's so beautiful!" she whispered to herself and saw a satchel that caught her eye at a stall. It was dark leather with flowers like the ones she saw that morning that were embroidered on the flap that opened. "Excuse me, how much is this?" she asked the stall owner. "Fifteen lions." the minotaur replied. "Oh. I'm afraid I don't have that much. My apologies for wasting your time." she said in disappointment. "Put it on my tab, Zimri." a familiar voice called out and she turned to see Aldo standing there paying the minotaur. "Pleasure doing business with you, Aldo." Zimri thanked him and handed the satchel to the girl. "You didn't have to do that." she told Aldo. "That's a grandparent's job my dear." he said with a loving smile and followed her as she continued on her way where she saw a shop that had a sickly sweet aroma coming from inside. She let her nose carry her into the shop where she was met by all kinds of pastries and candy.

"Welcome to my bakery! How can I help you?" an older faun welcomed the girl with a smile. "I'm just looking at the moment." Eirlys smiled in response and looked at all the pastries. "I have fresh mini razzleberry pies that I just took out. Care for a few? They're four for a lion." he smiled. "That sounds lovely. I'll take 2 lions worth." she replied cheerfully. "Alright, I'll go get them." the faun said and went into a back room which led to the kitchen. Meanwhile, she looked around some more, this was her first time outside of the castle and she had so much to see and explore. "Here you go miss." The faun spoke as he came back with a brown bag filled with the fresh pies. "Thank you sir." she replied and handed him two lion in exchange for the treats. "Come again!" he encouraged as she left the shop.

As she walked out, there was a loud noise and she glanced around but didn't see anything. Shrugging it off, she walked around looking for her grandparents. After walking around for a while, she found them looking at a stall with a variety of things. She walked over to them and that's when disaster struck, the winter army had found her.
