"Who is she?" someone asked as the group arrived at the camp. "I don't know. Edmund said something about her being an ally." another whispered.

Her lower lip quivered as they approached the camp, she was nervous about what was about to happen. Edmund, noticing her discomfort, was quick to send a warm smile her way. She smiled back, however, she was still quite nervous, her trembling hands clutching her dress. She had to remind herself, if it came down to it, she must defend herself. Swallowing hard, she glanced around at the guards who were remaining awake to keep watch, they looked tired but their eyes told a different story. They seemed to be excited and joyous, but what about? A war was clearly going to happen, what would they be so excited about? As she looked around and remained in her thoughts, she didn't even notice when a few familiar faces reappeared.

"Halt! What is that girl doing here?!" a familiar voice rang out. "Jared! Stand down!" an older boy clad in silver armor ordered as he stood in front of the other knight, facing him. "Captain, that girl is the one who froze Seraphina and I!" Jared countered and pointed at Eirlys. Eirlys gulped and looked at them. Edmund and Peter glanced at each other then at Eirlys. "Eirlys, you didn't do that, did you?" Edmund asked, already knowing the truth. She nodded slightly before gathering courage, "I did do it.". The older boy in armor sighed and looked at Eirlys, motioning for her to come to him. He wasn't much older, maybe around fifteen with black locks that reached his shoulder and honey colored eyes. He was quite built as well with broad shoulders.

Eirlys stepped forward and followed him, "The name's Alaric by the way." he introduced himself with a small smile and an odd accent she had never heard before. "I'm Eirlys." she replied, feeling more comfortable with him as they walked a little ways from the camp. "Sorry but you're a prisoner now until Aslan has an audience with you." he sighed somewhat disappointingly. "I'm always a prisoner." she snapped. Alaric looked at her, "You don't have to be." he replied in a voice filled with assurance. "Yeah, sure." she scoffed as he walked her to a wagon that was a makeshift dungeon and helped her into it. "Look, people can change. Everyone gets a chance to start again. You don't have to be like your mother." he said as he closed the door and locked it. "Then why am I here?" she countered and sat in a corner of the wagon. "I'm sorry. It's only for now." he replied in a sorrowful tone and walked away.

As much as she was trying to shove her emotions away, she couldn't. She wanted to forget everything and be free from her mother and the Narnians. She didn't want to hurt anyone but everyone wanted to hurt her for the sole purpose of being Jadis' daughter. She didn't want to be emotionless, she wanted to live and enjoy life the way it was meant to be. She didn't want her powers but it was her only means of defense and if she was truly honest, she liked seeing people afraid of her and it terrified her. This wasn't the life she wanted. She wanted to scream, it wasn't fair that she had to suffer so much abuse from her mother and for people to hate her for no reason. She was scared, lonely, depressed, distraught, and anxious of her entire situation and finally gave in to crying. She pulled her knees up to her chest and cried into her arms silently. She knew Aslan was going to kill her for her evil deeds and knew he hated her too because of her mother. She just wanted to be loved and find out who she really was. Was that too hard to ask? "Aslan forgive me." she pleaded in her thoughts, "I don't want to live like this." She sobbed hard and her small frame trembled which caused some of the guards to laugh.

"Not so tough are you now huh princess?" One mocked. "You'll get what you have coming to you!" another laughed. "I never asked for this!" she looked at them and practically spat back. Hours passed and all night they kept mocking her, one even pulled her hair. The sun was now rising and Alaric came to check on Eirlys and bring her food when she saw one of the men opening the wagon and dragging her out, bringing her to the center where more soldiers were at and cheering to harm her. He dropped everything and bolted towards them, "Leave her alone!" he ordered and broke the girl free from a minotaur's grasp. "She's going to die anyway! Let us hit her!" one man cried out. Eirlys' eyes were red and puffy from crying all night and not sleeping, her body felt weak and she had a terrible migraine. "Have you no mercy?! She's a child!" Alaric spat as he looked at her. "But-" one interjected, "No buts! Head out to the battlefield at once! I'll watch her." he ordered sternly and watched the men leave one by one.

"Are you okay?" the tall black haired boy asked as he looked over the young girl, checking for any wounds other than the bruise on her face and a scratch on her left cheek. "I'm alright." she replied shakily. "Let's take you back and I'll bring you some food. How does that sound?" he asked and noticing her wobbly legs, he carried her back to the wagon. She nodded and weakly gripped onto his silver armor. "They won't hurt you. I won't let them." he assured her and sat her down in the wagon and left to get the food. She waited and sighed, she felt drained and exhausted but the words those people said were ringing in her mind. Alaric returned minutes later with a bowl of lentils, bread, and some water. He placed the bowl and cup on a crate nearby and kneeled where she was and hugged her. He didn't know why, he just felt something telling him to comfort her. "It'll be okay." he whispered to her in a soothing voice. "Help is on it's way." he continued and left, locking the door behind him. She sat confused at his words but decided it best not to push it further. She soon after ended up falling asleep.

"I think we should give her a second chance." a brown haired girl spoke and looked at Alaric. "Are you insane?" Jared snapped. "Jared! Calm clearly. Didn't you get a second chance too?" Alaric replied with his arms crossed. "You're right. This is different! She deserves to be put to death!" Jared defended angrily. "We all do. " the brown haired girl replied. "Adalira is right. I shouldn't have reacted the way I did and I'm sorry. Majority rules, we protect her." Seraphina added. Jared glared at her angrily, his eyes then softened when her words sunk in. "So we protect her until Aslan comes. What will he do then? Won't we be at a loss since he'll kill her anyway?" he asked with a soft sigh. "He won't kill her." Alaric assured his younger friend with a smile. Jared smiled back softly, struggling with his own doubts within his mind. "We'll stick together by Aslan's strength." Seraphina quipped, fully confident in her colleagues and in Aslan. "Where is Aslan anyway?" She asked. "At this point, at the stone table. Everyone else is sleeping." Alaric informed them. They were puzzled but didn't ask any further questions, Alaric on the other hand, knew what must be done and though he was sorrowful about it, he knew it was the only way.

"Adalira, you and Seraphina will take care of Eirlys. Jared and I need to head out to the battlefield with Peter and Edmond. I think the battle is nearly here." Alaric ordered when morning finally had come. Adalira nodded, "Yes sir!" and walked towards a tent with medical supplies. "Good morning Ada." the medic greeted her with a warm smile. "Good morning to you too, Taneli." she replied and looked around the tent. "Anything I can help you with?" Taneli asked. "I need some gauze and some antiseptic cream. Would you happen to have them? Oh, and a rag too!" She asked. "I believe I do. Let me check my bags." He responded and began to look through a bag he had brought with him. After a few minutes, he smiled and held the object from his bag, "I have the antiseptic and the rag here. Let me just find some gauze for you." He informed her and placed the said items on a table nearby. "Thank you Taneli." she smiled. "It's no trouble." he hummed in response and looked for the gauze in a basket. "Ah, here it is!" he exclaimed happily and handed her the items. "Thank you again Taneli." She smiled and walked out with the items and headed to find Seraphina.

"What do you suppose will happen to Eirlys?" Edmund asked as he glanced at his elder brother. "I'm not sure." Peter replied as they headed out to battle. "Do you think Aslan will kill her?" Edmund said worriedly. "He didn't kill you. I don't think he will kill her either." Peter replied in deep thought. "I certainly hope not. She was pretty nice." Edmund sighed and headed up the hill.

Eirlys sat in her cage in aching pain from her previous wounds and from whatever harm they had done to her. She was sobbing silently and when she looked off in a distance, she saw two girls walking towards her with supplies. Suddenly, she heard someone walking behind her but didn't bother to look. She assumed it was another Narnian soldier, however, the look on the girls' face said it all. She felt a sudden urge of fear overwhelm her and slowly turned to face whoever was behind her. In that moment, she locked eyes with none other than the great lion himself. Her eyes watered as she beheld Him in all His glory and she could have sworn there was an air of radiance about him that seemed to call to her and warm her heart. She didn't know how long she was looking into His eyes but she turned away from him, sobbing greatly. She wasn't scared, instead, she found Him rather comforting. She felt so ashamed for everything she had done and kept muttering how sorry she was as she buried her face in her hands, refusing to look at Him again. He was unlike anything she was ever told Him, she felt that none of those words could ever fully explain how majestic and radiant He actually was. Eirlys wasn't prepared for this moment, her heart was frail and her emotions were scrambled in all this chaos that had happened in a mere matter of days. The lion walked nearer to her slowly so as not to startle her. In this exact moment, she heard him whisper to her low enough for only her to hear and in a voice sweeter than honeysuckle.

"Weep not, child. I have heard your prayers. Rejoice, for your deliverance has come, my dear one." This only caused her to cry even harder, if possible. It was at this moment, as soon as He had finished whispering to her, the sound of chains clanking against the floor of the cage was heard. Her eyes widened in surprise as she slowed her sobbing enough to see what He had done. A subtle smile crept onto her lips and she glanced at the lion once more, this time, His expression was soft and He too was smiling. "Rise up and come to me little one. Let me heal your wounds." He said in a voice as bold as thunder. The door to the cage opened, the lock falling onto the grass and Eirlys shakily stood up and ran to the great lion who was awaiting her. In this moment, it was so unique and special to her that she only saw Him and frankly, He was all she cared about as she ran to Him. Tears of joy stung her eyes as He welcomed her with a hug, assuring her it was fine to hug him and she joyfully buried her face in his thick, luxurious mane which to her surprise and joy, was incredibly soft and comforting such as a wool blanket on a cold night. "Eirlys, you are no longer a slave unto Jadis, I have bought and freed you from her bondage." He began and she pulled away to look at him. She fell to her knees, trying to think of what to say to fully express her gratitude but failed to find the words, she just sat on her knees with tears falling from her eyes. "You are no longer the forgotten princess of Charn, but now are the Royal Ambassador for Narnia. Arise Ambassador Eirlys of Narnia. Embrace your title, for you were lost but now found. Once forgotten, always remembered, Charnian by blood but Narnian by adoption and citizenship. You were bought with a price for your freedom, be bold and may you never be shaken." He announced and for the first time since she saw Him and fell in His presence, she took a good look around her. Few Narnians were around her, Seraphina, the girl she recognised from the forest was nearby with another girl in similar armor, both were smiling with pride as they beheld the spectacle and when she turned to her left, she saw Lucy and Susan. Lucy had a large grin on her face and Susan had a soft smile.

The dark haired girl rose up with a sense of pride, "Let me heal your wounds." Aslan spoke softly and breathed onto her, healing her wounds and giving her a sense of bravery. "Let's get you ready for battle. Adalira, give her the armor I had the blacksmith make." He commanded. "Yes, your majesty!" She said and motioned for Eirlys to follow her. "Come with us, and welcome to Narnia, Ambassador." Adalira smiled and led Eirlys to a tent where her armor was.
