Tim stayed for a little while and spent some time with Kamden but decided he would be pushing his luck if he asked for permission to stay the night. All I've been able to think about is the smile he had on his face the whole time he held Kamden, I can already tell he's going to be a great father.

I am broken out of my musing by Kamden's soft cries. It's time for a diaper change and he does not like waiting. I go over and get him cleaned up and grab a bottle and head to the main house.

I walk into the kitchen and see Mom making pancakes and Dad sitting at the counter looking half dead with his crazy Taylor hair all over the place.

I greet them, "Good Morning," and give Dad a kiss on the cheek and Mom a side hug as best I can with Kamden in my arms.

I get a cheery, "Good Morning" back from Mom and an unintelligible grunt from Dad. I just smile and heat up the bottle so I can feed the baby. I sit and the counter next to Dad and start feeding Kamden when Julie comes out of her room all dressed up.

"Good Morning everyone," she greets.

We all look at her like she's crazy because she is never perky in the mornings, especially not Friday mornings where football is the main topic of conversation in our house. She just continues on through the kitchen, grabs a coffee cup and helps herself.

I laugh and say, "Who are you and what have you done to Julie?"

She just cuts her eyes at me, "What can't I dress up for a change? Does something have to be wrong with me for me to be happy in the morning?"

In unison Dad and I answered, "Yes" while Mom said, "No sweetheart."

I just laughed and looked down at Kamden who looks to have fallen asleep trying to eat. I take the bottle out of his mouth and put him up to my shoulder to burp him. Soon enough he lets out a loud burp and is content to sleep in my arms forever.

Mom puts a plate of pancakes in front of me and says, " Eat. Today we are going down to the school and getting you set up. You won't start until Monday but this way you'll have all your ducks in a row before going back. You can leave Kamden with your dad while we get things situated and you can pick him up before you leave. "

She takes Kam so I can eat. Dad finally looks awake enough to function, he gets up and makes his way into the bathroom to begin his routine. I get through eating and look at Jules and say, "Who are the Panthers playing tonight?"

She sighs, "Westerby. Dad says we can beat them easily as long as no one takes them lightly."

I nod and take Kam from Mom before saying, " I'm going to go give him a bath and then get one myself. Let me know when I'm needed down at the school."

We make our way to my room where I grab all I'll need for my shower and his bath before making my way to the bathroom. I sit his portable bassinet in one corner so that when I get my shower I won't have to be to far away from him. You would have thought I was murdering him from the way he screamed when the water hit his head. I could see his whole body relax once I got him dried off and clothed.

Once I had him situated I got a quick shower before taking him back into my room and just admiring him while he slept. It's still hard to fathom that I was a mother, thinking of all the things I'm going to miss because I chose to keep him is out weighed by the immense feeling of love and devotion I have for my son. I couldn't imagine my life without him.

My daydream is broken by my dad, " Hey your mom and Julie are heading out now. I told her I would take you down to the school and bring you back home. I have a little more wiggle room in my schedule than she does."

I nod, "When are we leaving?"

"Within the next ten minutes. I've got to grab a couple of things to review before tonight's game. You have time to grab whatever you need for little man and yourself," with that he was back into the house to grab whatever he needed.

Luckily I had all of Kam's things ready in his diaper bag and I had everything I needed in a folder on my desk. I look at Kam and I hate having to disturb his peaceful slumber but Dad can be impatient and I don't want to keep him waiting.

We make our way to the kitchen where Dad is gathering his things. He looks up and says, "You ready?"

I just nod and we head out the door to the car. We walk out to the car and once Kam and I are situated we hit the road. All I can think about is the hell I'm walking into next week.

Getting everything straightened out at the school wasn't hard, what was hard was getting in and out without anyone seeing me. Don't get me wrong I'm happy to be back but people in small towns talk and I really don't want to hear what off the wall stories they've came up with.

Dad drops us back off at home and Kamden and I just spend the day just lazing around until Julie got home. She came through the door and piled onto the couch next to me and laid her head on my shoulder.

"What's wrong Juju?"

She sighed, "There's this guy on the team, he's the back up quarterback and I like him but he's shy and terrified of the fact that I'm the coaches daughter."

Before I could answer Mom walks into the living room, "Alright guys we've got about two hours before we need to be back at the school to help your dad with anything he may need. We'll stop by the Alamo Freeze on the way. "

We both groaned but for different reasons. Julie didn't want to go cause of this guy and I didn't want to go cause of the whole town.

I guess it's better to face the music head on instead of beating around the bush, I just wish I had a little more time. Then again don't we all wish we had time in situations like this.
