The sun beamed down over the dusty town. Nothing had changed at all, the driver had dropped the young blonde off at the towns entrance sign and she strolled down the road taking in everything around her. The worn down homes, the park, the large buildings that were abandoned years ago, the beautiful gardens with fresh flowers. The sun seemed to highlight the founders square, the tall white building seemingly gleamed, basking in its beautiful rays, something Claire suspected the founder would not be doing. The delicate flowers in the greenery by the fountain were all growing in perfect formation, a symphony of reds, blues and yellows on a green canvas. Simple yet gorgeous. Claire breathed in deeply, the sent of fresh coffee infiltrating her senses. Common Grounds wasn't far and Claire desperately missed Oliver's Mocha's, and so, she decided her first stop. She began her short walk to the Coffee shop, she passed the small shops that were on the same road, some had been redecorated, freshly painted exteriors and new glass. She let a small smile creep onto her tense face as she neared Oliver's shop. She and Oliver were never the best of friends, but they did respect one another so hopefully he wouldn't try anything. She neared the glass door, not a thing about Common Grounds had changed. She pushed the door and walked into the busy shop, customers were everywhere but that was normal for a coffee shop at 4pm. She joined the queue and waited as she got nearer to the till, that's when she noticed who was serving. Eve was stood behind the counter in all her goth glory being sweet as ever. Oliver was nowhere to be seen which shocked Claire, she half expected him to come out the second he smelt her blood. There was just 1 person in front of Claire now, just 1 single person separating Claire from Eve. Claire was terrified. The man made his order and moved to the side, and Claire took a step forward, Eve looked up from writing his cup and giving it to the girl next to her. Her jaw dropped.

"No way... No way... No freaking way!!!!" Exclaimed Eve in excitement. Her smile covered her entire face as she beamed at her best friend, tears formed in the corners of her eyes as she stared at Claire. "But your note, you... you said you were leaving to get away from Shane and the stress of everything and... and you said you didn't think you would ever come back and... and..." She couldn't finish her sentence as she burst into happy tears.

"Eve, I missed you so much, I love you" Claire cried, tears falling freely from her bright blue eyes.

Eve smiled and told the other barista to make Claire a mocha, Claire smiled, knowing Eve remembered her favourite drink warmed her heart. The two dried their tears and hugged for a few minutes and began to chat about everything. Eve got a friend to cover her shift for the rest of the day and left with Claire, the two made their way to founders squares and stood by the fountain just as Claire had before. Claire explained how she needed to go and see Amelie and so Eve told her she would wait in the front room while Claire went in. Claire walked into the entry room and greeted Bizzie who was shocked as hell to see Claire and smiled brightly, greeting her with a hug. She immediately sent her to Amelie's office and explained she was in a meeting with Oliver and Myrnin but to just go in as she knew Amelie wanted to see her again. So Claire drew in a huge breath and pushed the door open. All 3 sets of eyes fell onto the beautiful girl and shock, excitement and happiness registered in their eyes. Claire smiled at the 3 and simply said hello. She was greeted by a huge hug from Myrnin as he picked her up and spun her around, holding her tight and refusing to let go. After a while Myrnin finally put her down and Amelie came to hug her briefly as she welcomed her back to Morganville with, quite literally, open arms. Oliver greeted her with a kind smile from across the room which Claire returned politely.

"Well well well, Miss Danvers... You've been gone for 3 years, I can safely say I was not expecting your return at any point. I was certain you had taken your opportunity to leave this town and had fled, never to return. Yet, as per usual, you have shocked us all once more. Welcome home, Claire" Amelie said with a kind smile, completely free of her usual icy self.

"She's right Claire, I wasn't expecting you to come back. Not after 3 years." Oliver added.

"Heh, I missed the people here, the humans AND vampires. This is my home, and this is where I belong. I enjoyed my time as a pop star yes, but this is where I thrive, with you guys." Claire smiled at them all.

"Oh my little Claire! How I've missed you! Your incredible intelligent mind, your sweet nature, your beautiful personality. They way you challenge my intellect, and let me challenge yours, your brilliance every day. your kind heart and the way you always accept me. how you would stay at my side, I've missed that so very much my dear, and of course Bob has missed you too! You are so very dear to him, and to me too fy annwyl! Oh you have been my true friend throughout and you left me, but you came back! Oh my I've missed you my dear, you truly are my reason to strive to be better, more humane. My dear little Claire, I'm so glad your here! I'm rambling again! Ah right, my point was, I've missed you fy annwyl." Myrnin babbled excitedly, his rambling making Claire smile, she did miss the way his mind spun, but there was something slightly off with his tone, he was excited yes but also seemed relived? Like there was a pressure on him that was now gone. Either way, Claire was happy to see him too, so she hugged him tightly once more before saying goodbye and heading down to Eve.

The two began to chat again, Claire telling Eve all about her fun as a pop star, touring the world and meeting hers fans. The girls drew near the Glass House and Claire found herself nervous once more, from Eves reaction it was clear that Michael had sent the text so she couldn't help but wonder, why now of all times? But she couldn't let that trouble her for too long. The girls were at the door and Eve had her key to hand, she unlocked the door and stepped inside with Claire following. The house clearly recognised Claire as its warmth rushed her, almost engulfing her in a hug. Claire smiled brightly, then a tall figure came to the girls, a bright, Rockstar smile on his face... Michael threw his arms around Claire and let the tears of joy fall. She was home, truly home, here in the Glass house. And Claire couldn't possibly be happier.
