Green Trees Around Us, Blue Skies Above
(Taps: A Very Old Boy Scouts song)

When the twins saw each other pull up, they both hopped out of their partner's cars and ran to one another.

"Oh my God! I missed you so much!" Wren said, squeezing onto her sister.

"I missed you too! I have so much to tell you, oh my God!"

"Wait, I forgot to tell Levi to tell you, but look," Wren held out a little travel cage. "You're taking your damn kid back."

"Aww, poor little Kanye Baz-y baby!" Cath cooed through the bars.

They stood together for a moment longer, giggling and talking, until Levi, John and Jandro walked up.

"Hey Wren, I wanted to officially introduce you to John!" Levi chirped, "John this is Wren, Wren, John."

"Hey! Nice to meet you," she waved.

John smiled his goofy smile. "Hey, likewise."

"I'm gonna go get everything set up, you guys in?" Jandro smiled, giving Cath a little wave.

"Yeah," John and Levi nodded.

Cath started to agree, but her sister interrupted.

"No! We're going to go catch up. You guys can go do some... Guy bonding or whatever."

"Alright, babe." Jandro kissed her and headed towards their trucks.

"Come on, Cath," Wren pulled her over to a picnic table and sat down across from her. "So, do you have anything exciting to tell me?"

"No? I mean, I finally swiped my v-card, but you already knew that."

"Well, duh, but I know you have something to tell me, I can see it on your face!"

"Okay, fine," Cath giggled. "I haven't been able to tell anyone, but Levi is kind of the best in bed. I know I don't have any other experiences to compare him to, but I can tell you right now, I don't think anyone would ever meet the standards he's set."

"You think that now, but if you ever get with someone in the future you'll think they're phenomenal too."

"Seriously Wren. The other day he went down on me for half an hour and I had the most insane orgasm. He didn't even use his hands. It was out of nowhere too, he just did it because he likes to."

Wren smiled, "I freaking called it though didn't I? He's hot and he's actually super nice. He was bound to be good in bed. You really lucked out."

"I pretty much always want to do him now. I almost hate it."

"You used to be so judgy when I would talk to you about sex and now look at you; you're my slutty twin sister."

"Shut up!" Cath kicked her under the table and laughed, "What about you and Jandro. Anything new?"

"Well..." Wren blushed, "he asked me to meet his family on his brother's birthday."

"Aww! Are you excited?"

"Yes, I feel like my heart is going to pop."

Levi walked past them and smiled. When he saw her smile back, he made a u-turn and gave her a quick kiss on the cheek and carried on his way.

"Wow, that was ridiculous," Wren giggled.

"I know, but that's just how he is. I love him so much."

"God."

When the guys finished setting up the tents, John pulled over Cath and Levi.

"Hey, do you want the miner or the pop-up?" He asked, looking down at the both of them like the Giving Tree.

"What's a miner and a pop-up?"

"The tents," Levi smiled, he pointed at the little nylon tent and the tall, pyramid-like tent. "We can sleep in the pop-up. You can stay with the food and Baz."

"Alright," he nodded. "Why is Baz here anyways. It seems a little dangerous to have him out here like this."

"My sister is giving him back," Cath shrugged.

"You can play guitar?" Cath asked, sitting beside John on the picnic table.
He looked up at her, but continued turning the pegs, "Yeah, I've been playing forever."
"Why didn't I know that?"
"It's never come up, I guess. It's not something I just take out and start playing when I meet people; that's douchey," he smiled.
She laughed, "what can you play?"
His fingers moved to pluck each of the strings, and then started playing. It took her a moment to realize what it was.
"C'mon, sing it," John elbowed her.
"No way!"
He started over from the beginning and whistled.
"I've been lookin' under rocks and breakin' locks, just tryin' to find ya. I've been like a maniac, insomniac five steps behind ya. Tell them other girls, to take the exit. 'Check please!' 'Cause I finally found the girl of my dreams. Much more than a grammy award; that's how much you mean to me- c'mon, Cath!"
She started laughing, but sang along with him.
"You could be my it giiiiiirl. Baby, you the shit girl! Loving you could be a crime. Crazy we fit girl. This is it girl, gimme 25 to life. I just wanna rock all night long, and put you in the middle of my spotlight. You could be my it girl, you're my biggest hit girl! Let me play it loud, let me play it loud like..."
John had to stop playing because they were laughing so hard.
"Have you ever gotten through that entire song without stopping?"
"Yeah, actually. I can usually keep a straight face through songs, but you were laughing so hard I couldn't help it."
They looked over to Wren and Jandro out in the water. Her sister was really in love with Jandro, you could tell even from far away. Just the way she moved around him. It was different. She was different when she was with him. Cath hoped that she and Levi weren't that embarrassingly obviously.
The guitar sang a familiar sound. She looked over at John and listened to him, not wanting to disturb him. He was pretty good.
"And she's buying her staircase to Heaven..." She sang, self consciously.
"You can sing along if you want, it doesn't bother me at all."
"I'd rather listen."

Cath sat in silence and watched his fingers as they strummed. She didn't understand how someone could just memorize all the chords and then remember what order to play those chords in, and then on top of that know several songs. His hands played so quickly and he moved the capo around without pausing, not that she really knew what the capo did, but she was completely impressed. She offered a little clap when he finished.

"Wow, that was amazing!"
"Thank you, it took me forever to nail this song." He was panting a little.
Cath looked up at him, "I'm seriously mind blown. Plus you looked so unfazed."
"Do I?" He cocked an eyebrow.
Both Levi and John had great eyebrows. They had so much control over them. Cath didn't understand how girls didn't just throw themselves at the pair. Maybe they just had better self control than her. She began to wonder how far Levi was driving to find marshmallows, he had been gone for at least twenty minute. He insisted on going on the "marshmallow mission" alone and that it would only be a few minutes. She suddenly felt the overwhelming need to be near him.
"You do," she said, shaking Levi out of her head.
'Hm, I didn't know that, Stairway to Heaven is wicked hard to play. I kind of go into autopilot when I'm playing though."
"I think that's pretty awesome."

"Thanks," John smiled and his lip started bleeding. He covered his mouth, "oops!"
"Oops? You just bit your lip, don't you mean 'ow'?" Cath tried to laugh.
He shrugged, "it happens. I think that's probably bad karma for super showing off when nobody asked."
She shook her head, not completely understanding, but decided to let it go. That was a superstitious can of worms she didn't want to open. They sat there swaying to another song together until Levi's truck came rumbling down the dirt path.

"You're such a yucky, cutesy couple," John said, his hand over the strings to stop the sound.
"Why do you say that?" Cath blushed. Damn, I guess it is obvious to non-twins.
"You're both always equally excited to see each other. I'm glad though, it's good for him. S'probably good for you too." He kept watching the truck.

She grinned at Levi who was walking towards them with two bags of marshmallows: one regular sized, the other extra large.
"Guys! Look at these fucking marshmallows! They're ginormous! I bet they're as big as your little fists, Cather!" He was genuinely excited, like a little boy who just hit the candy jackpot.

Cath lifted her chin to kiss his cheek as he sat between her and John. His arm snaked around her waist and rested his head on top of hers. She could tell he was peacocking for them.
"John and I were hardcore rocking out while you were gone," Cath shook Levi's head off of hers and rolled her eyes as he pulled her hand into his free one.
"Oh yeah, definitely. I mean it was pure metal pouring out of my Hummingbird," he laughed, ignoring the PDA Levi was attempting.
"Hummingbird?"
"It's the type of guitar. Epiphone Hummingbird," he said.
"It's a fancy guitar," Levi knocked his head playfully against John's shoulder.
He looked down at him for a minute, adjusting his glasses as if he was trying to get a good focus on his smaller, wilder counterpart. There was a worried look on John's face as he continued to contemplate in the now complete silence.
"What?" Levi asked, pulling Cath closer, more likely out of nervous instinct than for comfort.
His fingers moved up the fret and to play another song. Although Cath didn't recognize the tune at first, her boyfriend's face lit up so bright and so genuinely that she realized that he hadn't actually been that happy before. The pair started singing together, God Only Knows. The words rolled smooth and warm down her neck.
By the end of the song, the three of them were all pleasant smiles.
"Thanks," he hit John's arm lightly.
"What was bothering you?" Cath asked.
"Oh, I shouldn't have left by myself. I was too alone in my head, it just felt like a mess."
"Cath!"
Wren came running up from the beach in a little, pink bikini. It looked good on her, but it had way too little fabric for Cath's to feel comfortable in. She looked over to see Levi looking grateful for a distraction and John looking irritated for it.

"Get off your ass! I just did a perfect cartwheel, you gotta try!" She yelled, motioning for Jandro to sit and watch.
"Just give me one sec, we were just talking about something kind of serio-"
"I can do a handstand!" Levi announced, jumping off the table after her.
Her sister was flailing around, attempting to show off her new gymnastic skill while Levi waited patiently to show off his own. Cath looked up at John.
"How did you know?"
"I always know, we've been friends a long time," he smiled and looked down at her without turning his head. Then, nodding toward their friends added, "I think he really wants you to watch this."
Levi had taken off his shirt so it wouldn't fall in his face, which left him in his black, cargo shorts. He rubbed down his legs and took a deep breath as he ready himself to beupside down. When he finally did it, Cath had to cross her legs. His body looked like a dollar sign with his arms and legs straightened out and his rib cage puffed out. Not to mention his little bubble butt seemed to pop out in that position. He was up for at least twenty seconds before he gave in and let himself down. They all clapped for him.
"Oh my God, teach me!" Wren said, pulling Jandro's sweatshirt over her head.
"It's not that easy," Levi ran his hand through his hair and explained freehanded handstands to her.
Cath walked over to him and kissed his cheek, "how are you so perfect?"
"Only to impress you, my love." He picked her up and gave her a marshmallow-flavored kiss.
"God, get a room!" Wren laughed and covered her eyes.
Levi grinned and carried her off into the woods jokingly, and Cath could hear her sister talking to John about his guitar.

This vacation was more fun than she expected.

"Alright, fine dare," Cath rolled her eyes.
"I dare you to go wake John up so he'll play with us!" Wren grinned.
"That's so rude, Wren." She frowned.
"A dare's a dare, sis. You gotta do it."
They both looked over at Levi.
"Hey, good luck to you, he hates waking up. That's why he sleeps so much, being awake is just too much for the guy," he shrugged.
Cath almost growled at them. The tall, canvas tent seemed so secluded, even though the light from the campfire shone through the thin, cotton walls and their silhouettes danced around in the dim light. It was so tidy too, she had to feel a little impressed by him.
Him being John, who was lying on a mattress pad in the fetal position, facing her. His face was soft and his ducktail hair looked more like a duckling's down, all disheveled and delicate. She wanted to give up already.
As she kneeled down to shake his arm, he frowned.
"I'm not sleeping, Cath."
"Oh! Heh, sorry I didn't mean to-"
"Yes, you did," John sat up and looked at her, disappointed. "I'm tired, but what's the dare? I heard my name, not the dare."
"Uhm," Cath was more embarrassed than she would have been if she had woken him up, "I was supposed to wake you up so you'd play with us."
"I thought your sister dared you," he raised an eyebrow.
"She did."
"Your sister wants me to play Truth or Dare with you guys?"
"I guess."
"Why?
"I don't know, to get to know you? To know how big your dick is?"

Cath did know why and it was the latter. She had been questioning her about Levi's earlier. It went something like:
"Dude, is Levi well hung?"
She grimaced, "ew, don't ask if my boyfriend is 'well hung'. That's gross."
"Okay then, how big is Levi's dick?"
"Wren..."
"Jandro's like five inches, but it's
super thick."
"GOD! Wren Avery that is so TMI," Cath made a face like something smelled awful, then thought about Levi's. She didn't actually know, but it wasn't five inches. "Levi, darling, will you come here?"
Levi came jogging over from the little clearing that he, Jandro, and John were all playing some version of HORSE with a frisbee.
"Yes, sweetie?" He placed a hand on her shoulder and his smile widened.
Cath stood up to whisper in his ear, "how big is your penis?"
His mouth actually clicked shut.
"Cather, I'm not- I mean, I know you're just asking because Wren's curious, but I'd rather you didn't tell your sister. Plus you guys can't compare, that's not fair-"
"But Levi, I want to know myself. It's like an inch longer than my phone right?" She took her phone out of her pocket and held it out in her palm.
Wren practically squealed, "God, really?"
All the blood in his body went to his head. The deeply tanned skin on his chest seemed as pale as it had back in January again.
"I'm going to walk away now."
"I'm just going to guestimate then."
"Good," he waved at them and continued walking towards the other guys.
She ran up behind him and held his hand as they walked together.
"Yours is bigger."
"That's nice, sweetheart."
"I'll tell you, if you tell me," Cath bumped him playfully with her hip.
Levi huffed, but he took the bait.
"Six and a half."
"Really?"
"Why would I lie? You've seen it before."
"I'm just surprised at the difference," she smiled and tried hard to not grin. "He's five."
"Really? He's huge though, I figured... nevermind."
"Wren says it's..." she made a sour face again.
"Girthy?"
"That is a much better word."
Levi smiled and shook his head, "I love you, but I'm going to walk away now."
"I love you too," she giggled and ran back to her sister. "Six and half."

"Nice. See, was that so hard?"
They both shrugged and watched the guys for a minute.
"I wonder how big
his dick is."
"John's?"
"Duh."
"Please don't ask him."
"Oh please, Cath. I have self control... I'll figure out a way to find out though."

"I hate girls sometimes. Most of the time," he grumbled.
"I'm sorry."
"I don't mean it. But it's like girls never had to learn to not sexually harass other people," John sighed. "I'm going back to bed. Or at least pretending too again."
