David was miserable, as he had not heard from Jen for the last few days, but he knew that he could not call her because he did not want her to feel pressured.

He had promised her to let her figure our her marriage, and he very well knew that that was impossible with him in the picture.

But still, it hurt not to know what was happening.

As he was driving himself crazy, he decided to call Courteney and test the waters.

"Hey David!" She greeted him, probably seeing his number on her cell.

"Hey C! How's the baby doing?"

"We are allright, growing and kicking and dancing on mama's bladder, but I am more than ok with that. I figure you are not feeling too good?"

"That obvious?"

"I kind fo figured that out, you know"

"I take it she told you?"

"She did. I am sorry, but what were you thinking?"

"I don't know. I probably should have just send her away. But she was there, in a clear state of mind, wanting this and insisting even after me pointing out she was married. And you probably are aware of how I always felt about her, and at some point I just thought "what the hell, at least I get that". Not so smart, I know.

So, how is she?"

"She is trying to work things out with him. And it really is crazy. One day she seems quite happy and the next day, she is full of doubts... I don't know where this is going.

Plus I really find that Angelina thing fishy..."

"She told me about that, too. And as a man I can say that really is suspicious. I have a friend that works for the production company behind that movie, if I asked him he could probably at least fill me in on some gossip. But I don't want to honestly, because that would only hurt her, plus I don't really feel like I should be the one to break it to her..." David said.

"But maybe you should... if you hear anything you can still decide what to do with that info, and it it is just a flirt, or maybe a one-time-thing, she does not have to feel guilty anymore.

And who knows... if this is really true and maybe it is something bigger: would you want her to run into that blind-eyed?"

"Yeah, you are right. A little call to that friend might come handy..."

"Ok, talk to each other later, Alright?"

"Thanks C" he said, before hanging up.

After that he decided to call his old friend Peter.

"Hello David, my old pal! How is it going? I heard you just wrapped up Friends? Any new plans?"

"Hi Pete, I'm good, thank you! Yeah, that was a rollercoaster! I am currently taking some time off, sorting things that I would like to do! And you? Big movie production running I heard? Got yourself some pretty big namens there?"

"I am fine too, Thanks! Yeah, that is really exciting. Some thing were not going according to plan, but all in all, I think we are good."

"I heard of that storyline, sounds a bit messy..."

"Yeah, it is a bit crazy, but MAN those two are dynamite together!"

"Yeah, that must be fun to watch."

"Totally! And that chemistry... Wow! And they really get along quite well... hang out together all the time..."

"As friends, or do you think there is more going on?"

"I don't feel comfortable talking to you about this, I know you are friends with his wife..."

"OH COME ON, Pete! You cannot tease me like this and not spill your gossip now..."

He really hated this talk, but seemed like there really was something to tell.

"Alright, between two old friends: I don't know for sure because of course I was not there, but someone said that one of the make-up assistants walked in on something, and they leave set together quite often to hang out at her place..."

"Oh wow. Thank you Peter!"

"David, listen, I have this thing..."

David had already cut off the phone.

Wow. He did not know what to make of this. Making out on set. Leaving together regularly. At what seemed to be normal hours. When he told Jen that he always had to work late... almost classic plot.

Poor Jen.

He decided he definitely had to sleep on what he had just learned.

AN: Oh Oh!
