Uncharted Hearts:
Part 4 Team Umbra Strikes Again
Marcel cannot believe how fast he is going, trying to keep up with Lacea and Farox. He never even thought to take Coreonus with him; he just charged on ahead without thinking. How does Marcel intend to keep his pace with them? The best Marcel can see as he breathes heavily is Farox's bushy tail, as he meanders here and there following the helicopter now ahead of them, dodging trees and shrubs as best Marcel can so he does not trip up. Soon he hears his Pokémon calling not far behind.
"Sisar! Sisar! Lizarsisar!"
"Coreonus! Keep up with me! I can't afford to lose Lacea and Farox through these trees! They know the way to go!" he calls, hoping Coreonus hears him. If he looks away for just a second, he will lose both Lacea and Farox as well as crash into an oncoming tree. He cannot afford to. He has to get to wherever they are charging. What if Forittep is in danger? If he is not there, who knows what will happen.
"Si-sisar!" Coreonus cries as he continues to keep his pace.
"Great! Then let's get there before something happens!"
"Si!"
Marcel comes to a river and slides to a stop, watching Farox disappear amidst the shadows along with his tail. Of course, he knows Lacea will find and lead him to the location they found if anything should happen, but his first concern is Coreonus, who cannot possibly make this jump without getting wet and probably sick, considering he is a fire type. Fire types just do not like water if they can help it. If he did not stop, he would have made it over with no problem.
"Sisar?" Coreonus calls now finally caught up with his trainer.
"Yes. It's a river, Coreonus. And the only way across is to jump." He catches his breath. "So. Shall we?" Marcel asks as he turns his head to his Pokémon.
"Lizar," Coreonus agrees before climbing up Marcel's leg and to his shoulder, where he holds on, ready for his trainer to make the jump.
"Hold on tight!" Marcel backs up a fair few steps before charging forward to make the jump, feeling Lizarsisar tighten his grip in the process. Upon making it to the other side, he continues running, not having to worry about Coreonus if another obstacle appears ahead of them. It is then that he suddenly trips over with a shocked scream, crashing on the ground followed by Lizarsisar.
"Guh!"
"Lizar!" they cry in unison.
"Damn it! Why didn't I see that?!" He tries to move but whatever he tripped on has a firm grip around his ankle. When he checks, he can see it is a tree root. "Oh, typical! More wasting of my time to get to where they ran to." He unravels the tuber from its hold before picking up Coreonus and checking him over. "Are you alright, Coreonus?"
"Sisar." He nods in agreement before walking back to rest on Marcel's shoulder.
"That's good." Marcel checks that he can stand and put pressure on his foot, a twinge of pain telling him he could not. "Ow."
"Lizar?"
"I'm okay, Coreonus. Just a sprain. I'll be more careful." However, close by, he hears cries from a Pokémon in pain. "Huh?" He runs with a limp in the direction of the sound, soon coming to a distressing scene. Forittep, the Pokémon from before, is stuck in a stun trap before his hooves. Against the volts that are shocking him, all he can do is cry in agony. There are three people just watching it happen, and they look like a group of thugs, each donning twisted grins on their faces. With them are four Pokémon he has never seen before.
With no time to record them, he can only burn them into his mind. One is a snake similar to Tara's Aderalite. One looks like a much bigger and darker version of Farox. One is a wolf-like species, and the last a shadow dragon juvenile, almost as tall as its trainer, just floating there maniacally. Forittep is in danger, and he will do anything to protect him. Worse is that the large fox is pinning down Farox as he struggles to get free, while Lacea is fighting back against the wolf in her way.
"You didn't see that one coming, did you Forittep?" the female of the group taunts with a laugh. "A pity your little forest helpers are no match."
Marcel does the only thing he can. Let himself be known. "Leave them alone!"
"Oh?" the female states, turning her gaze to Marcel. "Who's this?"
"You heard me, creep! Leave them alone!"
"Boss ain't a creep, brat! I'll teach you to call someone names!" A male threatens before setting his Pokémon on him. "Use Bite, Adarelare!"
"Adare!" the snake says in a dark masculine tone before slithering fast towards him for an attack.
Before Marcel could think, Coreonus jumps off of his shoulder and uses Ember without proclamation. "ZAR!"
"Grr! Protect!" Adarelare slides to a stop, glaring forwards before Lizarsisar's attack simply hits a barrier that manifests upon the impact. "Heh."
"What?" Marcel questions in surprise.
"Tackle that Lizarsisar ingrate!" he orders.
"Lare!" Coreonus is quickly tackled by the powerful Pokémon in seconds, not enough time for Marcel to react.
"No! Coreonus!" Marcel cries before catching him, seeing a poor sight as Lizarsisar goes limp in his arms, defeated. "Damn it! You tried your hardest too." He hugs him. "Thank you, Coreonus, for trying."
"Weak! You are no match! Stay out of our way!"
"No! I can still fight!"
"Ugh! Constrict that fool, Adarelare!"
"Adarelare!" the snake complies before slithering forward once more.
"Grr! Lacea!"
"Lab?!" Lacea wonders why she was called, despite holding back her current adversary.
"PokéSeal go!" Marcel shouts, throwing the tool. It latches around the Labrudeo, protecting her from any harm as she jumps back from the wolf and tackles Adarelare down.
"A trainer? Now this will be entertaining," the boss states, now intrigued. "Wulf! Heel!"
"Wulf! Wulf!" Wulf barks in a deep tone before returning to his trainer's side.
"Now then. Show me what you can do, little boy?" She glances at the Adarelare trainer. "You have a fair fight, Cale. Don't disappoint me."
"Yes, ma'am." He salutes before going back to the battle at hand.
"Adare!" the snake hisses, then slithers back to the front of Cale.
Marcel glances to Forittep from over his shoulder now that the stun trap has stopped causing it harm. "Don't worry, Forittep! I'll get you out of this mess! You'll have enough time to escape! I promise you!"
"Fo-ri…" the antelope calls, still trying to recover.
"If you can last in your battles long enough, that is, little boy." the boss says with a dark tone. "One Pokémon against all of ours. Good luck."
"I'm not a little boy!"
"Oh? Then who are you?"
"Marcel! And I will stop you from taking Forittep into your hands!"
"Well, now. Since we are getting acquainted, I am Boss Junia of Team Umbra. But now that you know who I am. I can't possibly let you escape from us. And if it comes to it, you won't escape alive."
"I'll escape you when I defeat you!"
Junia simply scoffs. "Please. You? I wouldn't bet on it. Take his Labrudeo out, Cale!"
"Yes, Boss Junia." Cale glares at Marcel. "Those shall be your famous last words, Marcel." He reaches for the side of his belt and reveals his PokéSeal. "And seeing as this is an official Pokémon battle now, I can't possibly break the rules." He throws his article towards Adarelare, where it latches on, surrounded by a red aura.
So they use these Seals too. I never thought Team Umbra was the kind of organisation to use such a thing. But a Seal with a red aura? Something tells me I'm not gonna look forward to physical attacks now. Better keep Lacea at a distance until I know what a Seal surrounded by red means.
"Tackle, Adarelare!"
"Adar!" Adarelare slithers forwards, ready to make physical contact.
"Double Team Lacea!" Lacea abides before making copies of herself to improve her evasion in a second, causing Adarelare to tackle a fake with the intent of a collision against a tree. Adarelare is unable to slow down enough, and he crashes headfirst into the trunk, a crack of the Seal heard by all in the vicinity.
"Whah!" Cale cries in sudden shock as Adarelare struggles against the recoil, shaking his head, trying to get back to his senses.
I thought so. Red means power, so that caused double damage to his Seal. Fool. I may not be able to fight well with Coreonus right now, but boy can I battle with Lacea when I need to. I've helped mum train her since she was a pup, which has made her so strong. She's on an entirely different level to all of you put together.
"Tackle it, Lacea!"
"Lab!" She charges forward from behind Adarelare as the double team dissipates and sends Adarelare crashing into the tree again, causing more Seal damage.
"Da-re!" he cries in agony as he slides back to the ground.
"Grr! Poison Tail!"
"Evade!"
At the same time, Adarelare twists back upright and swings his tail, making Lacea jump backwards to avoid a hit.
Poison Sting!" Cale orders.
"Adaaar!" Adarelare opens his mouth to shoot poisonous stingers without stopping.
"Bide!" Marcel shouts, coaxing Lacea to lower her upper body to take the brunt of the move. As the signifying crack denotes a loss of defence, she waits there, biding her energy before releasing it back tenfold against her adversary, cancelling out his attack in the process.
"Labrude!"
"Adaaaare!" he cries, hurtling back towards the tree. The Seal breaks before a powerful crash landing. "Daaaar!"
"Adarelare!" Cale charges to his Pokémon's aid, shaking his head telling Junia that Adarelare has fainted.
"Disgraceful, Cale! You're far too reckless!"
"Lacea! Tackle that Pokémon off Farox!"
"Lab!" Lacea does so, knocking it off her friend.
"Omi!" the Pokémon yelps in a strikingly feminine tone before sliding backwards as she recovers her footing. "Nox! Ominox!" she then proceeds to growl before moving into a battle-ready stance.
"Headbutt Lacea!"
"Grr!" the final thug growls, quickly throwing his PokéSeal to protect Ominox from further harm. "That was a cheap trick, brat!"
Marcel ignores his insult and directs his attention to Farox. "Farox, go! I can handle it from here!"
"Farox-far!" Farox abides and charges off to find Marcel's friends, knowing that they may be needed to help out.
Lacea makes her next attack count, contacting Ominox under the jaw in an attempt to daze her.
"Payback!" Ominox's trainer orders.
"Nox!" She abides and jumps clear before using Payback by pulling her body backwards and snapping back to fire energy beams forward.
Lacea tries to jump out of the way, but the power catches her. Hurtling away, she plants her paws on the ground to control the slide in which she lands. Growling, she awaits Marcel's next order knowing he too knows the Seal that protects her is damaged a little more.
"Leer, Lacea!"
"Labru!" She then glares at Ominox to cause another crack in her adversary's Seal.
"Now, Tackle!"
Lacea charges forwards, making contact at the speed she can run, sending Ominox crashing along the ground.
"Damn it! This kid!" acclaims Ominox's trainer.
"Deal with it, Castor! We have wasted enough time! Defeat that Labrudeo now!"
"But, miss Junia…"
"I will be leaving here with Forittep if I have to defeat them myself!"
"Now use Bite, Lacea!"
"Damn it! If that Seal breaks..!" Castor dreads, but then it becomes real after Lacea tightens her jaws around the Seal barrier.
"Nox! Ominox!"
"Night Slash!"
Ominox lashes out with her forepaw, striking Lacea's Seal and damaging it further.
"Labrude!" She jumps back, giving Ominox a chance to stand.
"Quick Attack, Lacea!"
Before Castor could think up a counter-attack, Ominox is struck side on before hurtling towards a tree. The result is her unconscious body motionless on the ground with Lacea hardly out of breath watching Castor rush to his Pokémon's aid.
"Lab!"
Junia growls, now that both her grunts are defeated. "You're both just as useless as ever!" She then glares at Marcel. "And now it seems it falls upon me to get you out of my way!"
"Well, I'll last long enough against you! Long enough, so your target can flee!"
"Strong words for a little brat! But I'll make sure you won't be standing after this!"
"Bring it, witch!"
"Grr!" Junia growls disconcertingly. "Wulf! Tackle that little ingrate!"
"Wulf! Wulf!" Wulf abides and charges directly for Marcel, coaxing Lacea to quickly slide in front of him to counter with a tackle and protect her trainer in the process. It makes contact no problem, but Marcel is more worried that Junia will try to have her Pokémon attack him again.
"Grr! I've had just about enough of you!" She throws her PokéSeal at Wulf, and he stands there waiting as it latches on, engulfing him with a shadowy aura he did not have previously. "Feast your eyes on my Seal!" She glares at both Lacea and Marcel before glancing down to her Wulf. "Quick attack!"
"Wulf!"
Struck with a quick attack, Lacea recovers her footing with a slide awaiting the next move.
"Heh. Now watch."
Marcel is unsure what she wants him to watch, but then the shadowy aura engulfs Lacea amidst the breaking of her Seal before it seems to blind her.
"Lab! Labru! Labrude!" She panics and rapidly looks around, unable to see a thing.
"Tackle!" Junia orders and Wulf charges once more.
"Lacea! Look out!" Marcel cries, but she cannot move before getting tackled with force amidst a yelp of pain.
"Lab!" She crashes a few feet away.
"Drakolon! Now's your chance!" Junia states, and in moments something flashes from the dragon's eyes, a purple flicker of sorts before Forittep gets engulfed in red light.
"Fo-ri?" Forittep looks around confused and does not see the net thrown at him until Marcel is rushing to stop it.
"Forittep! Go!"
"Scary face, Drakolon!"
"Drak!" Drakolon pulls a hellish face at Forittep, causing him to flinch and freak out. Within moments, Marcel crashes back first against a tree screaming in agony from his ankle as he crashes to the ground while the antelope tries all he can to catch him. They are both trapped by the net that now pins them, Lacea recovering from her blindness and rushing to Marcel's aid.
"Tackle her, Wulf!"
"Wulf! Wulf agrees before tackling Lacea once more, but she repeats the same action as before, growling menacingly at Wulf while protecting Marcel.
"Lacea!" Marcel cries, holding his ankle amidst gritted teeth. "You can beat him. I know you can."
"Lab!" She stands firm, growling.
"Wulf! Tackle!" Junia orders. Wulf then charges forwards to tackle.
"Bide!" Marcel shouts as Lacea braces for the impact, taking Wulf's power as best as she can as he continues trying to tackle her down.
"Wulf! Brace!" Junia shouts as Wulf stops and jumps back for distance, ready for his next order. "Wait for it!"
Lacea stands tall and releases her stored up power.
"Wulf!"
"Now evade and use Pound!"
Marcel can only solemnly watch as Wulf dodges the released energy with ease before pounding Lacea down.
"Lacea! Get up!" Marcel cries when Lacea does not move straight away. "Please!"
"I see! She does have a limit!"
Labrudeo slowly stands back up again despite the attack, struggling to her feet, much to the chagrin of Junia watching. "Labru-de!"
"She'll never have a limit! She's far stronger than you can fathom!" Marcel shouts at Junia rather hatefully. "Like I said! There's no way I'm letting you take Forittep!"
"Then you leave me no choice! Quick Attack her, then use Bite, Wulf!"
"What?"
"Wulf! Wulf!" He charges for Lacea at speed. After contacting and knocking her down again, he pins her before grabbing her by the neck with his jaws. Lacea struggles to escape his hold.
"No! Lacea!"
"Now then," Junia begins. "Either give me Forittep or watch your precious Labrudeo die by my Wulf's jaws! You have two choices!"
Grr!" Marcel growls as he has never growled before, forcing himself forward, hoping it would work. "Let her go! Let her go, you hag!"
"Give me what I damn want!"
"Never!" Marcel bellows with hatred.
She holds her head with her hand and shakes it amidst a breath. "I had hoped it wouldn't come to this." She then glares once more at Lacea. "Wulf! Crunch!"
Marcel is emotionally distraught when he sees Wulf slowly clenching his jaws around Lacea's neck, causing her to choke upon the force. "No. No! NO!" He looks at Junia, angered by her twisted expression.
"Farox! Tackle!"
"Tara?" Marcel is relieved in seconds after hearing her voice as he watches Farox tackle Wulf off Lacea, a PokéSeal around him. Farox then protectively backs up towards Lacea, watching Wulf's every move, growling hatefully.
"Fa-rox! Farox!"
"So I see. You sent Farox to get some backup. Well, it won't work! I will have Forittep if I have to destroy you all!"
"Enough of this bullcrap, old lady!"
Junia growls hatefully at her.
"PokéSeal! Go!" Román shouts next, throwing it to surround Croagard, now new and improved, as she stands guard in front of both Marcel and Forittep.
"Time to fight, Mine and Riku!" Kobayashi shouts as he throws a Seal at each of them. "You'll have to get through us first if you want Forittep!"
"Humph! I see. So you all want to get in my way. You'll regret this!"
"Then make us, old hag!" Tara threatens.
"Ominous Wind!" Junia commands.
"Drakolon! Drak!" He flaps his wings with force, causing a gust of mighty repulsive wind to strike at all his targets as they try all they can to keep themselves from getting blown away.
"Tackle that Farox, Wulf!"
"Wulf!" He is quick on the case, causing Farox to crash a short distance away as he struggles to fight against Drakolon's move.
"Far!"
"Farox!" Tara cries, but nothing could prepare them for what happens next. Lacea once again is standing.
"La-bru-de-o!"
"Lacea? Please, don't force yourself. You're hurt!" Marcel can see her neck is wounded and bleeding, but Lacea did not seem to care. She forces herself to walk forwards against the ominous wind and towards Drakolon with hate in her eyes.
"I've had it with you!" Junia threats. "Soul Bind, Drakolon!"
"Drak!" Within seconds Drakolon disappears, only reappearing as he passes through Lacea's body. She freezes with fear amidst the icy cold of Drakolon's manifestation, but Tara has had enough.
"Farox! Tackle that dragon right now!"
"Far!" Farox abides and charges, as Drakolon just waits to be hit a short distance from Labrudeo.
"Fori! Fori!" Forittep tries, knowing the exact cause of Lacea suddenly acting the way she is, but his words go through deaf ears as Farox makes physical contact with Drakolon. Instantly, Labrudeo screams in pain.
"LAAAAAAB!"
"Huh?" Tara is shocked and calls Farox off, but already Labrudeo's fur stands on end as she tucks her tail between her legs fearfully, lowering herself down with her ears back. "What happened?"
"Fool! How can you call yourself a Trainer, acting rashly like that! But oh well. Now that I have her where I want her, I will be leaving here with Forittep. One less thorn in my side now. None of you can ever hope to face off against my might!" She darkly grins. "Heh! You have all thoroughly entertained me. But now I will end this!" She glances at her Wulf. "Quick Attack the Farox!"
"Wulf!" He charges intent on contact.
"Mine! Use Confusion! Riku! Metal Claw!"
"Meditite!"
"Rio-riolu!" The pair of them work together. With Wulf now frozen by Confusion, Riku makes sure he physically strikes his opponent's Seal barrier with a flurry of Metal Claw until it breaks. Mine lifts him high in the air before bringing him back down with a throw of her arm.
"Uh! Grr!"
"Quick Attack Farox!" Tara orders.
"Use Bubble Beam Jasenria!" Román shouts.
"Far!" He quickly attacks Wulf a short distance away as Jasenria uses Bubble Beam, which causes Wulf to crash back first into a tree amidst a yelp, sliding down to the ground with his legs sprawling outwards.
"Wu-ulf…"
"Adiemus. You know what to do. Cut through that net."
"Adera!" He slithers down Tara's body and heads straight to the net, using his fangs to start cutting through it.
"No! I will have him!" Junia shouts. "Wulf! Hurry up and get back in the fight!"
"Wulf…" he seems to groan, then stands again with a struggle.
"Tackle him, Jasenria!"
"Croa!" She barges all her weight into him before he can fully stand, knocking him sidelong into the trunk of the same tree.
"Wulf!" he cries, then tries to stand once more. Not even fully up, he falls again and faints." "Wuuulf…"
"Damn!" How foolish of me to use Soul Bind on that Labrudeo. Drakolon can't move at all now! But that Labrudeo had been a thorn in my side for far too long. I had to keep her out of the picture! I underestimated Marcel. But that won't happen again, even if he calls for backup. I'll find a way to defeat him and his friends if it's the last thing I ever do!
"Boss Junia! What are we going to do? We're defeated!"
"We are not defeated, Cale!"
"Boss! Our Pokémon are out of commission! Your Wulf is too! We have to regroup!"
"I did not come all this way just to give up! I am so close to getting Forittep!"
"We don't stand a chance now. There's too many of them," Castor affirms.
"Damn it!" she hisses distastefully, and then the worst thing happens on her part. Forittep charges forward and uses Shadow Claw at the gap between Labrudeo and Drakolon, clearly seeing what no one else could. A strand of essence that had connected Drakolon to Labrudeo.
"No!" Junia bellows.
"Drak?" Drakolon is shocked now before suddenly getting attacked by the move Frenzy Plant that Marcel and his friends have never seen before. "Draaaaak!" Hurtling towards Junia, he crashes into her, who then flies backwards amidst his weight before hitting the ground."Drakolon you great buffoon!" Junia groans but then sees he has also fainted. "Grr!" She slams her fists down on the ground before returning her Pokémon to their Pokéballs. Cale and Castor return theirs. "Boss Junia to the helicopter! We need picking up! Now!"
"Yes, ma'am! On our way!" a voice says on the other side.
"You may have won this time! But I assure you! You won't win next time!" In moments strings of thick webbing are fired down from above the trees as Junia, Cale, and Castor grapple them with a hand. "Take us up, Spierdeicus!" She glares hatefully at Marcel. "We are done here!" Junia shouts up amidst the sounds of the helicopter's rotor blades before they disappear.
"Well. That's that," Tara states nonchalantly.
"Labru-de. Labru-de..." Lacea struggles, then she suddenly collapses from exhaustion, falling into Marcel's arms.
"Lacea!" He hugs her. "Thank you for protecting me." It is then that Forittep heads over, resting his snout on Lacea's body before releasing an aura with a sweet scent around her. "Huh?"
"I've seen this move before. It's called Aromatherapy. Forittep is healing her. She must've been through a lot," Kobayashi gently clarifies.
"She was." Marcel tries to stand but drops again in pain, holding his ankle amidst gritted teeth. "Ow."
"Marcel?" Tara asks.
"Okay. It's worse than I thought, after all."
"What's wrong?" Román questions.
"My ankle! I think it's sprained!" His friends soon help him up, so the weight of his ankle is minimal at best.
"We best get you back to the hut," Tara states, as everyone retrieves their PokéSeals, their Pokémon hurrying back to their sides or shoulders. Marcel hugs Coreonus, knowing he will receive aid upon returning to the hut. Once Forittep is finished healing Lacea, she is soon back beside Marcel and Farox, as the antelope disappears once more. However, a voice then speaks through the walkie-talkie that Tara holds. The voice is that of Misty.
"Hurry back, guys! It's happened again!"
"Understood, Misty. We'll be back as fast as we can," Tara answers. They continue to walk at Marcel's pace through the peaceful forest listening to the insects' song as they share between them that the danger has passed.
Team Rocket had more than expected the many glares from random trainers and people at the airport once they arrived, just looking at them with allusive assumptions. What do they think Team Rocket is going to do? Steal? Calculate? Be conniving? Naturally, because they do not know the real reason for Jessie's, James' and Meowth's appearance there. They do not care how well known they are, they just enjoy eating up all the attention these strangers are giving them. Well. They would be insulted if they did not make heads turn.
Walking alongside James is a Growlithe, now with a collar and tag that has Growlie carved into the metal. It seems James has finally decided to take his Growlie on a journey with him, as the pokémon proudly walks between the duo, Meowth riding on his back. It was clear to James a few years after he returned to his parents' mansion, that they did not want Growlithe roaming around. He reminds himself about his Growlithe being locked in the huge doghouse, but that was mainly because of Jessebelle locking him out because she for some reason never liked Growlie.
But now Growlie's wish has come true, as he finally gets an adventure with the one he is loyal to.
"So remind me again, James," Jessie begins, clearly ignoring all the trainers glaring at them. "Why did you decide to take your Growlie with you?"
"Why? Because I wanted to. Travelling with us is going to be the best thing of his life," James replies. "Much better than all those boring days back at home mind you. Growlie would be much better being away from them for a while, especially Jessebelle."
"I thought it was only because you wanted him to warm you up all the time," Meowth corrects.
"You ungrateful worm!" James shouts, grabbing Meowth round the face and pulling his cheeks out as far as they can stretch while he picks him up. "I'll show you what you're only good for!"
"Aah! Jessie! Help me!" Meowth cries.
"James! Show a little self control!"
"Yes." He calms down and lets Meowth go.
"Yikes!" Meowth cries as he falls to the floor.
"Sorry, Meowth." James apologises, before picking Meowth up again and putting him back on Growlithe's back. "It's true that I brought him to keep us warm when we feel cold, but that wasn't the only reason. Criolu is a cold region, and Growlie is a fire-type. He'll rarely feel cold here because of his typing. And he always wanted to travel with me. That's why I decided to bring him with us." He gives Growlie some much needed fuss as he looks down to him. "And I'm sure you'll enjoy every day here with us too."
"Growl," Growlie agrees, smiling.
"Alright you three! Halt in the name of the law!" Officer Jenny shouts as she raises an arm in their path, causing them to scream in surprise and raise their arms defensively. In front of her are three Pokémon the trio have never seen before. Farox, Labrudeo and Litenine, rearing up their jaws growling a threat.
"Officer Jenny!" The trio all reply in unison.
"That is how I'd greet criminals after catching them in the act. But you three are known the world over."
"Such is the life of a celebrity," Jessie states rather joyously, clearly remembering her past fames and glories.
"Jess. This is no time to reminisce," James complies.
"Besides. We're not here to cause crime," Meowth concludes with innocence in his eyes.
"A likely story!" Officer Jenny claims with a stern look.
"It's true!" The trio answer in unison again, all pouting their lips hoping Jenny will let them pass through.
"Either way. I just wanted to inform you in person, that if any crime happens in your name, that you will be hunted down without fail. Is that understood?"
"Yes, Officer Jenny." The trio salute her, keeping the innocent guise on their faces.
"Anyway. Why did you come here?"
"That is classified information, ma'am," Jessie says.
"Hmm?" Jenny glares at her, trying to pick out a lie.
"If you must know. We are here under strict orders from our boss," James states.
"But that is all we are allowed to tell you," Meowth concludes.
"I see. But my offer still stands! Understood!"
"Yes, ma'am."
"You are free to go. No crime, or we will be the first ones to know." As she stands aside, her three Pokémon do the same. Without further ado, Jessie, James, Meowth and Growlie, all walk on through the airport. They know to wait for their ride Giovanni has planned in advance, so for now, they will relax at the café with money to spend.
