(Bexley's POV)

I was throwing punch after punch, letting my fist connect with either their faces, ribs, or stomach. However, Ponyboy and If were getting as much afflictions as the Socs. Ponyboy was fighting the hardest he could to keep himself from getting killed.

A fist collided with my jaw, causing my head to fling backwards. There was blood seeping from my mouth, the iron taste making me shiver. Yeah, it did hurt but I couldn't show these assholes weakness.

After regaining myself, I reached out and grabbed the Soc that punched me by the ears and I started to knee him hard in the face. There was the sound of a satisfying crunch when my knee made contact, no doubt that his nose was broken. After throwing him to the side, I ran after another.

However, I felt myself getting grabbed by another Soc by the collar of my denim jacket, forcefully pulling me back. The force had caused me to fall onto the ground hard, causing me to cry out from the pain. Before I could get up, I felt my stomach getting kicked in mercilessly three or four times.

Pain erupted from my body, and I was rendered stunned. As that Soc was slugging me around, I could see my twin brother fighting with everything that he had in him. He used every sleepless night, the pain, and terror into every punch, kick, and strike. He was going to keep fighting despite his body crying out for him to stop due to exhaustion.

Ponyboy was no longer afraid, proud to be a Greaser. I was also proud to be a she-greaser. We were both proud to be the lower class people that bidded their time looking for trouble. But on the inside, we were much more than that.

The Socs hadn't pulled out their blades, but they probably would the longer time dragged on. When the pain in my body passed for a brief moment, I managed to grab a rock that was laying next to me and hit that brown haired Soc as hard as I could across his head, causing blood to spew out the minute it made contact.

I tried to get up to help Ponyboy, but I felt my ankle getting grabbed by a strong hand. It pulled me to the ground onto my stomach. "You're going to pay for that, you bitch! I'm gonna end you!" the brown haired Soc scowled, grabbing me by my denim jacket and shirt with a balled up fist. He forced me upwards and started to ruthlessly punch me in my face relentlessly.

"Get off of her!" Ponyboy's rage-filled voice bellowed, punching the brown haired Soc off of me. That Soc let go of my shirt and denim jacket, letting me fall back down onto the ground. I tried to get up but I felt a foot kick in my stomach, knocking me back down, then a strong kick to my head.

After that, I couldn't get back up. Every part of my body was smarting and I felt blood running down the side of my head and from my nose. When I tried taking a breath, it ended with a sharp wheeze. The pain was so bad that I passed out for a few minutes.

When I opened my eyes, my vision was blurred. All I saw were hazy figures running passed me. There was a ringing in my ears, my head was pounding something awful. But what I did make out was the distant sound of sirens coming in our direction. The sound was making my head hurt even worse, forcing a groan to escape my mouth.

I suddenly felt a sense of warmth in my right hand, which was outstretched beside me. Looking to my right, I could barely see that it was Ponyboy weakly grabbing it. From what I could see, he was laying on his chest. "P-Pony…" I whimpered, groaning from the pain of my throat.

Then, I saw the flashing red and blue lights of the fuzz as they pulled up next to the lot. The cops emerged from their cars, ordering for the Socs to drop their weapons. The Socs were then cuffed and put into the cop cars, leaving Pony and I there untouched.

Why hadn't they taken Pony and I? Was I hit in the head so hard that I was just imagining it? I couldn't be sure.

I had to get back to Darry and tell him what had happened. Despite the pain, I had to go get help because I don't know how badly hurt Ponyboy really was. He could be hurt much worse than me. It was my responsibility to get the help he needed. I forced myself up but cried out from the horrendous pain in my body.

"Agh! God, this h-hurts…" I whimpered, holding my throbbing stomach with one arm and using my other hand to hold myself up. I breathed through the pain, but it was pointless. "I'm… I'm gonna find Darry, okay? Please… hang on." I said, groaning through the pain. Pony tried to stop me from going but found himself too weak to do so.

Pushing myself up, I found that my legs were so heavy that I fell back down onto the soft grass, forcing a cry from my lips. I sobbed with the pain, feeling more blood run down my face. My chest heaved from the pain with each sob. I tried to get up, stumbling to get to my feet and walk forward.

"I'll be back… please hang in there, Pony…" I whimpered, tears flowing down my cheeks. As I started walking, I could barely make a straight line. I was mostly staggering. At one point, I nearly fell over again, wincing at the horrendous pain from my stomach.

I stumbled my way back to the house, feeling more dizzy by the second. Everything around me was spinning, making me feel more nauseous. In front of me, I thought I could see figures running towards me but I felt my legs give out from underneath me. There were also voices, multiple voices. But I passed out before I could see who they belonged to.
