Seven years later

"Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today to join Isabella Marie Swan and Jacob Ephraim Black in holy matrimony."

As the outdoor ceremony started both Billy and Charlie sat in the front row overjoyed by the marriage of Charlie's daughter Bella and Billy's cousin Jacob.

"Another, Swan-Black wedding" whispers Billy with excitement as Reverend Weber reads scripture from the Bible about love and marriage.

"Yes, just think that was just us a few years ago in Las Vegas" replies Charlie as he grabs Billy's hand pulling him down for a kiss.

Their union had been a surprise to most but not to all. Jacob had always known that his older cousin, Billy was gay. It was never truly talked about in their family but when he was eighteen, he took a road trip with some buddies and ended up spending the whole summer in New York, staying in Billy's condo. He learned alot about his family that summer including how religious and judgemental they truly were. It was Jacob who had encouraged Billy to reach out to Sheriff Swan. He knew that Charlie had just gotten married; but, if their love was as true as Billy had described then they were obviously meant to be together.

Renee Higginbotham Dwyer and her daughter, Bella Swan were also not as shocked by the union of Billy and Charlie as one would have guessed. On the night of Bella's ten birthday party, Renee asked Charlie why their marriage hadn't worked out. She said that she knew that Charlie was doing the traditional thing when he proposed to her. She said that she had never thought that a one night stand would have turned into a lifelong marriage; but, in the back of her mind she never thought that it would be Charlie who would walk away, she always thought that it would be her. Charlie confessed that night that he had been in love with someone else; but, that the world would not accept them together. Eventually, Renee put two and two together, she had already moved on with her new husband, Phil, and she felt heartbroken for Charlie. Bella learned the truth when she was eighteen when Jacob told her, it confirmed her suspicions about her father and his love life.

The father and daughter got closer once she officially moved back to Washington for college. She encouraged both Charlie and Billy to stay in Forks and live their lives together after he called her the night Sue left. Charlie wanted to move to a big city and give up his career because he didn't think that the small town would accept an openly gay sheriff.

In time that proved not to be true. It did take some time for the locals to be open but everyone loved Charlie and just wanted him to be happy.

Sue, of course, was not shocked either as she looks over at the happy couple as the wedding ceremony moves along to the vows. Her daughter, Leah was a bridesmaid since Jacob was also her cousin by way of her father. Sue was no longer upset or angry at Charlie. She realized that they were never meant to be and that she was lonely and still grieving from the loss of Harry, when they got together. Since the divorce, Sue has spent her time working, traveling, and raising her children. Just last night, her daughter told her how proud she was of her. Sue asked for what, and Leah proclaimed that she was a strong woman, who even though multiple losses and heartbreak, continues to be supportive of those around her and is fearless in her dreams. Sue smiles at that memory, as Reverend Weber wraps up the nuptials.

"By the power vested in me. I may now pronounce you, husband and wife. Jacob, kiss your bride."

Cheers ring out as the newlyweds kiss and then turn to their witnesses. As they walk down the floral aisle, Charlie and Billy kiss, gazing into each other's eyes. Sue walks over to them, breaking into their moment, "the wedding was lovely Charlie. Bella looked so beautiful."

A smile graced Charlie's face at her words; however, he was on his guard and praying that they did not end up causing a scene since he had not talked to his ex in six and half years, "Thank you Sue. Leah has grown up so lovely. And Seth was a handsome groomsman."

"Thank you," she responds as Billy stands to leave the former couple alone, "WAIT" says Sue quickly not wanting Billy to walk away. "I want to say that I am happy for both of you. And I have no ill will towards either of you. I didn't want to live my life with this unease hanging over my head. I had a lot of grieving and soul searching to do, after we ended. "

"Sue, I am truly sorry for how everything happened. I should have been honest with you and with myself" says Charlie.

Sue acknowledges Charlie and turns to join the reception which is further up the pathway in the middle of a lavender filled meadow. Billy stops her, "I am sorry for hurting you, Sue. I have tunnel vision when it comes to this man. I didn't care or factor in who I would be hurting and for that I am truly sorry."

A tear slips from Sue's eye as she shakes her head in acknowledgement and leaves the couple alone.

"Thank you for that, baby" whispers Charlie as he stands alongside Billy, "It was long overdue."

Kissing him slowly, Billy pulls away and says, "Anything for you...it's always been you."

Charlie smiles happy knowing that he is living the life he has always dreamed of.

"It has always been you as well, love" he declares as they start walking to the reception, joining their loved ones in celebration.

Openly together and free to be themselves.

A/N: Thank you to those who have read, reviewed, and favored: Pull Me Down: A Mysterious Call.

When I originally came across this prompt from Writer's Digest, I knew I wanted it to be emotionally dark; but, I didn't know that it would become a Slash or a cheater fic until the very end of chapter one.

I am excited to announce that the Pull Me Down series will continue with another full-length story entitled Mercy. I have already written the first three chapters. It is a Crossover of the television shows: My Mad Fat Diary and Quantico. My plan is to have the entire story written before I start posting. Stay Tuned!
