Prologue
(A/N)
These two fairies are my OC's! I have yet to draw art of them since their just characters I created in my notes app. There is not much Tinkerbell fanfiction on there, so I thought I should write my own. These two characters are Light Fairies. Their names are Meri Plumewood and Flynn Cove! Flynn is the type of sparrow man who likes to joke around. He also can be lazy at times. Meri is more calm and collected. She can be energetic too. Anyways, this is just the Prologue for now! I will be following the movie The Lost Treasure.
!I do not own the Tinker bell movie series nor the characters or plot. Copyrighted to Disney. I just only own my original characters!
Meri is a light fairy in her home of pixie hollow. At night she is in charge of a group of fireflies. She has to make sure to gather some light and keep them lit before going to her home for bed. She always made sure to do her job with tasks in sunflower meadow along with helping another fairy's around her.
In the land of Pixie Hollow, there lives a fairy. Meri, a light fairy who at night is in charge of a group of fireflies. She has to make sure to gather some light and keep them lit before going to her home for bed. Meri always makes sure to do her tasks in Sunflower Meadow while still always being there helping others around her.
The Light fairy was fast asleep. The sun was already shining, and it was around 8:00 am. Her room is cold and quite dark since the shades are closed.
"Knock, knock." Said a certain Sparrow Man.
She groaned slightly in annoyance, knowing who it was. The male fairy opened the door, letting all of the sunlight into her dim room and thus ruining the light fairy's sleep.
"Morning! I brought Boysenberry Rolls!" said Flynn as he flew in and placed them on the table. He looked back at her before moving the curtain shades open. "I know you had a long night taking care of the fireflies as usual, but we still got a long day ahead, sleepyhead." He rubbed his arms slightly since the room was quite chilly. The sun should give off enough heat to warm up the light fairy's place.
Meri finally slowly got up and rubbed her eye gently, "I was up till at least midnight." She complained and let out a yawn.
He nods and takes a piece of the roll for Meri (along with one for himself) and walks over to her. "I know. Anyways you should still eat something." Flynn smiles kindly.
She sits up and takes the pastry from his hands, "Thank you, Flynn." Meri takes a bite from the treat.
"Of course, did you sleep well?" He asked and started to eat his half. Flynn sat near the end of her bed so that way he was not so close to her.
She nods, "Yeah, slept fine."
"That's good," Flynn replied
There was a moment of silence between the two. It wasn't an awkward silence either. The two have been friends for years, so they just got used to each other. So silence never bothered them. To Flynn, the silence was always comfortable and he always felt relaxed.
Flynn soon decided to start a conversation, "Today we were training some fireflies to work as lanterns and torches. You know The Blue Harvest Moon is coming up right?"
"Oh right! Isn't it like a month away? Don't you think it's a bit early for that?" Meri asked, tilting her head curiously. "Plus, I work with the fireflies at night, so I wouldn't think I would have to do anything with them during the day." She shrugged and took a bite of the pastry.
"That's exactly why Queen Clarion thought you would be perfect for the job!" Flynn exclaimed, quite excitedly.
The Queen? She wants me to help with the lanterns and fireflies? Meri asked herself in her head, quite surprised The Queen already assigned her the task. "That is rather fishy though. You would think she would start assigning those types of jobs three weeks earlier." She said thinking in more of a logical circumstance.
Flynn just shrugged, "I wouldn't say no to Queen Clarion though. We will find out what's going on today once we get out there." He finished the last bite of his treat and brushed off his hands. He placed them on his legs to stand up and started to head out the door. "Let's get going!" He turned around and grinned at the fairy, waiting for her to join him.
After Meri changed to someday clothing she met Flynn outside of her home where the two then flew to Sunflower Meadow which was not too far away. Once they reached the desired location they already spotted Iridessa, another light fairy-like Meri, and some other fairy's. There were at least several groups of fireflies. Meri pointed at each one of them trying to count them all.
"There are so many." She gasped as they then landed on the ground.
"Great! You two finally made it. Rather behind schedule but we will work things out." Iridessa smiled, clasping her hands together gracefully. "Anyhow, Let's get started. As you can see, the fireflies are in groups. So that means I am going to pair you all, so it will make things easier."
"What are the odds if we are paired together, eh?" Flynn elbowed her.
Meri just rolled her eyes, not amused. "I would say two out of five."
"Flynn and Glissandra," Iridessa announced, looking at the notes in her hand.
"And the odds were slim." Meri smiled slightly, looking over at him.
"Well, fly with you later then." Flynn waved and headed over to the brunette who was waiting for him on the other side.
Meri let out a soft sigh and waited for Iridessa to call out a partner for her. Once she did, Iridessa announced Sparkle, another light fairy, to be her partner.
"Hey, there! I'm sure we will work great together. I know you do night shifts with them, so you practically know your stuff." Sparkle said as she flew over and looked at the creatures with wings. The bugs looked up at her and smiled. The fairy has ocean blue eyes and long blonde hair tied into a ponytail. Quite gorgeous, according to Meri. She has always been jealous of her looks, but besides that, her personality is fine.
The two then had to gather some light first so they could light up the light bug. Once they grabbed the leaf container, they headed up to gather some. Once they were up high enough, Sparkle gathered the shining ray of sunlight with her hands and caught some, placing the light in the holder. She looked back at Meri, noticing she was just staying in a place, not moving. She hummed in question and flew to her.
"Is something wrong?"
"It's practically the morning. Don't you think it's too early to be practicing lighting torches with the fireflies? I should be doing that during my night duties. Not during the day. None of this makes sense." Meri let out a soft huff.
Sparkle placed her fingers under her chin, "Huh, you do have a point there. I never thought about that. Maybe we should go and ask Iridessa?" She suggested.
"Yeah, that's a good idea. Let's fly back." Meri took the lead as Sparkle followed from behind.
The two made it back to the tree they were at earlier. Once they landed, the two fairies headed to Iridessa who was already helping out with another group. The light fairy turned around, noticing their presence.
"Is something the matter, you two?" She asked, walking over.
Meri nods, "Yes, I have a few questions actually." She placed her hands behind her back swiftly.
"Okay," Iridessa nods, "Go right straight ahead."
"First, why are we practicing this during the day? Secondly-" Meri was cut off by the loud sound of a Kazoo humming.
"Uh, oh. Looks like someone's in trouble." Sparkle gasped.
"I- I haven't done anything! I've been well, good!" Meri said a bit nervously.
The important scout-looking fairy flew down towards the three light fairies. Her eyes locked with Meri's. The young fairy gulped.
"Meri Plumewood, Queen Clarion awaits."
Iridessa and Sparkle both looked at her. Meri started to follow the scout fairy before she looked back at the two, not knowing what to do.
"Um- uh, If I recall, I did nothing wrong! I'm sure the Queen wants to see me about something related to the Fireflies. First off, it's way too bright to be doing any training with them-"
Violet, the scout fairy, blew her Kazoo shushing her, "One moment." The fairy flew inside to meet them the awaiting door.
Meri peeked in to look at the four fairies. Chattering, about something just waiting to get called in. Queen Clarion thanked Violet as she then left. Not too long later she was called inside. Meri brushed herself off and flew in.
"Queen Clarion, hello. I haven't done anything wrong have I?" She asked as she walked over to them, nervously.
"Why of course not. Anyhow, you do know the Minister of Autumn."
"My dear." He bowed his head down slightly.
"Hi Hello," Meri smiled in return.
"You do know about the Autumn Revelry, correct?" He asked, placing his hand behind her lightly, singling signaling her to follow him.
"Well of course I would. Everyone's been is talking about it and how excited they are."
They headed towards a big door. "Since time, an immemorial, fairy's have celebrated the end of Autumn with a revery. This particular Autumn coincides with a Blue Harvest Moon and with it a new scepter must be created to celebrate this occasion." The male fairy finally opened the doors, "Behold, The Hall of Scepters."
"They're so gorgeous." She says in awe.
"Every scepter is unique. Some are the work of Animal Fairies, some of Water Fairies, or even Garden Fairies. This year is the turn of the Light Fairies, which you have been chosen for."
"Me? I've have been chosen out of all of the light fairies?" She gasped slowly, placing her hands over her mouth, amazed and in quite in shock.
The Minister of Autumn continued to explain how the scepter must be built in certain dimensions, then followed by placing The Moonstone on top. The queen follows and explains how the blue dust restores The Pixie Dust Tree creating a rebirth.
"We are relying on you." Queen Clarion says.
Meri glances at the memorial of the fairies and the Blue Moon. She was quite amazed and a little overwhelmed. The queen then signals her to follow as they then reveal the Blue Moonstone to her while telling her that it has been handed down to generations of fairies. They then warn her how it is so fragile, that it must be taken care of with good hands. Once it is shut safe in its box, it is then handed to her gently.
"Thank you all. I promise I won't let you down!" With that, Meri flew off to take The Moonstone home.
