A/N: And here is the final chapter for now! I am currently writing chapter 4. That should be done in a day or so.

Chapter 3

The next day the two got up and instead of heading to her place first thing they went their separate ways to gather all of the material needed. Before departure last night they both made a list of materials for things to gather. It could be as simple as plucking a crow's feather. Meri smiled and hit it behind herself.

"What?" She asked the crow as it glared back at her.

She then spotted Fawn in the distance. If she knew she plucked a bird's feather she would be scolded by her. So she dashed from the brach ready to collect the next thing on the list. At this very moment, Flynn was gathering up the cotton. It was hard to gather since it was so huge. Though he managed to get the amount they needed.

Since they were light fairy's they weren't good at Tinkering. Though since they worked together to build the air or more so cotton ballon they managed to put everything together. Once they were done making the cotton ballon. They both decided it was best to make a new traveling outfit. So they both went home and made a design as soon as they could. Both of the designs had light yellow sleeves. It was more of a cozy look but not the winter type. Before releasing the balloon Flynn started to gather the bags.

"Alight, we got food, clothing oh and basic materials. You have the pieces of the moonstone and specter?" He looked up at her as she twisted on a cap of a bottle container.

Meri nods, "Yeah, got em' right here." She referred to the satuale on her shoulder.

"Great. Let's get going." Flynn headed out of her house.

Meri was the one to release the cotton ballon and throw pixie dust onto it. With both of the pixie dust they have together they have just enough. With ease, the cotton started to lift in the air. Flynn places down the bags on the floor in the ballon's basket. Meri then went on over to pull up the anchor. They then set off on a journey past Neverland.

Meri walked towards the front of the basket area and looked at the compass. "At least this thing is no longer useless." She says making sure they are headed north.

He then walked over to her, " See, I told you that was a sharp thing." He pointed at it.

She let out a soft sigh, "I know, I am sorry I should have listened to you."

Flynn shrugged, "It's fine. At least we're going to fix things now."

Meri nods. Her attention was then brought to the clouds. She giggled and raced over to reach her arm out to touch it. It felt quite most and cold. He chuckled watching her. It was quite a nice sight to see her happy.

After some time they reached a swamp river. They have been traveling down the path for quite some time. Meri was trying to angle the moon with the horizon while Flynn was looking through the notes he has made.

"Hey, we should be reaching the end soon." He announced and stood up heading over to her. He looked ahead and saw nothing bud muggy water. "Are you sure we're going the right way?" Flynn glanced at her.

Meri nods, "I'm positive! I just checked." She let out a sigh.

Flynn hums, "Hope you didn't get us lost."

"Hey… I know we're going in the right direction." Meri huffed crossing her arms.

The sounds of the swamp filled the silence between the two. Flynn occasionally flipped through pages and made sketches of obvious trees in case if they were going in circles or going the wrong way. After some time he decided to ask her something.

"You're not going on that date are you?" he asked looking up at her.

She shrugs, "I am not sure after what you said," Meri let out a sigh, "I just thought Terrence started to like me."

Flynn placed his notebook and pencil down then went over to her. "Hey, don't let that get you down. If it makes you happy I think you're pretty." He grinned, slightly his cheeks flushed. He tried to gain confidence while saying that but ended up failing. He's not the type of person who has confidence when it comes to the girl he likes.

That made Meri flustered and chuckle, "Come on, Flynn, you don't mean that." She looked away hiding her pink cheeks.

"No, I do!" He let out but cleared his throat since he was loud. "I mean… Look out!" He wrapped his arm around her waist and ducked. There was a green pack of fireflies heading their way.

"What the! How many fireflies are there?" She exclaimed.

It was like there are dozens! One fell into the basket and Flynn noticed not too long later. He went over to the bug. The firefly seemed to be moving along in there not too long after it realized it landed in their bag of food. He picked it up and took it out as it was munching on one of the pieces of cheese.

"What? Hey!" He took the remaining from the creature and threw it behind him since it was bitten.

Not too long later there was a batt screeching chasing the poor little bugs. They duck once again and out of fear she reached out to take a hold of his arm. Since he was holding the firefly Flynn didn't quite notice. When it was clear they stood up and Flynn let the bug go.

"There now go off with your friends." He shook his head and looked over to Meri noticing how close she was now. He didn't blush so much this time. More so smiled in comfort. "Go on show go. You already ate our cheese."

Meri slowly released and backed away. "The firefly what? You gotta be kidding me." She bent down and picked up the remaining piece of cheese they had.

"Go! Leave us be." Flynn hollered.

The firefly whimpered and slowly headed off. It looked back at them not wanting to face that batt again. Flynn had his arms crossed as he went to go and check to see how much food was left. The bug finally started to head off to its friends long in the distance.

After soon passing the swamp river they reached the waterfall and floated overseas. They soon approached one of the landmarks made on the map which was a human skull rock. It was not too long later Meri started to get hungry.

"When was the last time we ate?" She asked looking over to Flynn.

He hummed and looked over to her as he was just enjoying the view from the other side. "Not sure," Flynn shrugged, "This morning?" He questioned. "Now, let's see we've got… Poppy-Puff Rolls, Pumpernickel muffins, Honeycomb Cake, or the Strawberry Bread I made? Now we were gonna have it with cheese slice on top but sadly someone ate it all." Flynn went over to scabage through the bag.

Meri gasped as her eyes seemed to glow with joy. She watched him take out half of the loaf, followed by cutting up some slices. Once they were sliced he handed her one. As he was doing so their hands lightly brushed against each other. Flynn did take a chance to notice this but brushed it off. She thanked him before taking a bite. It was rather sweet along with a hint of a bitter taste.

"Hey, not bad! It's pretty good." Meri congratulated him after she swallowed.

"Really?" He asked, "At first it was a bit too bitter but I think the sweetness canceled it out you know?" He said and placed his arms on the basket leaning against the side.

She smiled, "Well it did. You did a great job. If only you were a baking fairy." Meri hummed taking a bite.

Flynn thought about that for a while as he occasionally eats some of the bread as well. "Yeah, I thought about that while baking but then I realized I most likely wouldn't have met you." He looked over to her.

She suddenly felt a sort of tightness inside her along with feeling warm inside. She glared down and held the piece of bread he made not thinking of facing him. Flynn noticed she had some crumbs on the side of her cheek.

Meri stiffened feeling warm fingers brush along the side of her cheek. "H- Hey!" She stumbled on her words and looked away.

"Oh, come on. I was just bushing them off." He flicked his fingers so that way the wind could pick it up and let the crumbs drift away.

If anything Meri didn't want to face these sorts of emotions. All she wanted to do was ignore them and push them away. Though every time any type of moment happened she would find herself noticing them. After they finished their food Meri went to bring out the map and see if they were getting closer to land. Only problem was it was past dusk. So it was too hard to see.

"Now," Flynn stated, "If only there was a light source where I can shift the beam over. Now that firefly would come in handy." He scoffed.

She pulled the map closer to her squinting her eyes trying to make anything out. He peered over noticing and shook his head.

"Reading in the dark is no good, Mer." Gently pull down the scroll.

This caused her to start as her cheeks lightly glowed. She growled and yanked the map away. "Would you stop doing that?" Meri snapped.

He looked at her in surprise, "What do you mean?" Flynn blinked.

She facepalmed, "You know exactly what I mean! It's every time you get close. Stop that!" Meri hissed and rolled up the map.

He gasped lightly knowing exactly what was happening to her. Though this was not a good time to tell her what was going on. Flynn decided to lie since it was the best thing to do at the moment.

"I don't know what you mean?" He asked so casually, crossing his arms.

"Yes, you do!" She fought back pointing the scroll at him.

"Clueless, " Flynn shrugged, "Where does one find a light source in the night sky." He hummed thinking.

He could hear her low growers as her fist was clinged. She started to even wrinkle the map. That's when she exploded "That's it! I'm sick and tired of it Flynn! Just stop making that happen."

Flynn's thoughts came to a pause as he felt all of his real feelings for her drop and slide into a pond drifting away. His wings even lowered in sadness. "Yeah, sure." He said in a low voice.

Meri noticed his sudden sadness in the middle of her anger. Suddenly she felt bad and tried to approach him even if she didn't want to. "Hey, I'm sorry I yelled."

"I am sure you are. Now let me see that map." He finally turned to her, reaching out to grab it.

Only she didn't let him grab it. This time she wanted to mean that she was sorry, show that she was sincerely sorry. "No, Flynn. I am really sorry. I want to make a good apology." She held the scroll and looked down.

"Like last time? You say sorry one minute then yell at me the next." He huffed, "Some friend you are." Flynn said harshly.

Meri felt a sharp feeling in her heart. Like she was stabbed. She shook her head and reached out to comfort him. "No, Flynn I sincerely do-"

"Lay off!" He hollered

Slapping her arm causing the scroll to drop as it landed in the basket. She stumbled back and accidentally bumped at the edge causing a bag of Pixie dust to fall off the Cotton Ballon. She gasped and Flynn turned around noticing it was his since he remembered where he placed it. He let out a loud groan out of anger then dropped off the ship to dash out and snatch it. Meri took hold of the edge and watched him fly down a good few feet away. Her eyes looked rather glossy. She sniffled and wiped away the wetness before he returned.

"Look, I should take my first watch. You can sleep." He said rather coldly.

Meri wanted to ask if he was okay with it since he seemed to be drowsy and worn out. Though it was best not to pry. So she just went with it. "Okay." She said in return and went over to the other end to take a good rest on the floor.

He continued to look ahead holding the pixie dust bag in his left hand. If they continue to have fought like this things won't end up looking good for them. If it came to the worst… if that ever happens. I would make the last wish. Flynn looked back over to her as she was faced away from him. He let out a low sigh and took the steering to move forward.
