"Sorry about this," Satoru said from the passenger seat as Aizawa drove downtown. "It's fine. I wasn't doing anything today anyway."
They came to a stop in the parking lot of an abandoned computer factory. Satoru stood in front of the building, shoving his hands in his pockets. "...I guess it's true after all." In my world, Jujutsu Tech is supposed to be standing here.
"So what is this place supposed to be, your house?"
"Not really, no. I do spend most of my time there though. It's supposed to be... a private high school."
"Huh."
Aizawa paused. "You know, for someone who's stuck in a different world, you seem relatively calm." Satoru managed a smile. "Let's just say I'm not completely unused to crazy stuff like this. However, this is my first time traversing dimensions, so that's probably near the top of the list."
The car ride back was a bit quiet, but more of a comfortable silence rather than an awkward one as Satoru let the idea of being stuck in this world sink in. Aizawa seemed to understand what he was wrapping his head around.
They'd also passed a few places Satoru recognized, and a few he didn't. At the very least, he was stuck in a humane world. I wonder how everyone's doing back at home. I hope Yuuji doesn't get himself killed with that reckless personality of his. At least he has Nobara and Megumi with him.
Aizawa cleared his throat. "You know, since you're technically homeless right now, I wouldn't mind letting you stay at my place."
"I don't even know you that well, but that seems pretty out of character for you."
"You're right, it is. So is that a yes or no? If not, I can at least help you set up an apartment or something. And you're gonna have to expect a few visits so I know you're not dying out there." Despite barely knowing the kid, Aizawa felt a bit responsible for him, regardless of the guardian role placed on him by the police.
"...Sure. It'll definitely be a lot easier than living on my own." I think I can trust this guy. He's kind of like Megumi- closed off sometimes, but kind. Someone who would give his all for other people, regardless of how well they know them.
"Thanks, Aizawa."
"Yeah, no problem. And that's Aizawa-san to you- I'm your elder."
"Utahime? Is that you?"
"Who-?"
After stopping by a few places to get clothes and other supplies, Satoru was pretty much set. Mental note- pay Aizawa back when you have access to your bank account again.
"So you're one of these- what, pro heroes? Professional heroes?"
"Mhmm. I go by Eraserhead. And before you say anything, it was an idiot friend of mine who picked it." Satoru imagined Aizawa with the literal head of an eraser, disguising his laugh with a cough. "And- you uh, you have one of those quirks too?"
"Erasure. I can erase people's quirks by looking at them."
"Isn't that, like, really powerful?"
"When it comes to people who depend on their quirks, yeah. But there are plenty of villains who are skilled even without using them, like Kirigaya. If it weren't for you, that knife might've killed me. For reference, his quirk was controlling the bandages wrapped around him, but he was also good with blades."
Aizawa set the curry rice on the table. "This is actually good, I didn't peg you for the type of guy who could cook," Satoru said while chewing. An irk mark appeared on Aizawa's head as he sat down. "Anyway, I've been meaning to ask, but what exactly is your... power? Since you don't have quirks in your world."
"Limitless and Six Eyes."
"Two of them?"
"It's rare to be born with more than one type of jujutsu, though. I'm an exception."
Satoru leaned forwards. "I'm a jujutsu sorcerer. We're the people who exorcise curses, who are, to put it simply, the bad guys. Most humans aren't able to harness their cursed energy. That's what separates them from sorcerers."
"And you exorcise them by yourself? Or in teams or something?"
"It usually depends on the situation."
"So what does your power or... powers allow you to do?" Ah, there's the big question. "This might sound a bit confusing, especially since they both have a bunch of different techniques." Satoru went on to explain a few of his abilities, mostly the ones he used in front of Aizawa, like Lapse Blue and Infinity. He was a good listener, only interrupting a few times to ask a question or clarify something.
"Gojo," the man started after placing the dirty plates in the sink, "to be honest, you sound like a formidable opponent, especially for your age. Really. I mean... who exactly are you in your world?" Satoru gave him a hint of a smile.
"I'm the strongest."
