Eureka fanfic rated k I do not own Eureka or any of its characters

A little one-shot idea I came up with that doesnt quite match up with what the Eureka writers had in mind for Fargos parents. Based in the scene where Fargos grandpa first wakes up out of cryostasis.

Enjoy!

Carter leaned forward pulling a name tag out of the unconcious mans pocket. "Pierre Fargo.", said Jack.

The group looked at both Fargos with surprise as they saw the resemblance immedediately.

A few minutes went by as they stabalized the scientist. The group didn't say much but they couldn't help but notice a strange look on Fargos face.

Suddenly the mans eye's cracked open as Allison looked at his vitals.

"Do you know your name?", asked Allison.

As she and the others proceeded to explain to him what had happened, Fargo kept quiet.

As Pierre looked around the room he saw Fargo asking if they had met. Fargo wasn't sure what to say.

"Um...I'm Douglas Fargo. I believe that I'm your grandson.", he said with a straight face.

"What? Belle is pregnant? Or was I guess...".

"Yes with my father Thomas Pierre Fargo. He later married my mother Marie Hansen.", Fargo replied.

"Where are they now? I have to meet my son.", he asked desperately.

"I'm sorry but...um they passed away a long time ago. I'm so sorry.", said Fargo.

"What? I don't understand how could this have happened? How?", he asked trying to calm himself down.

"Um I don't-", started Fargo nervously.

"Please...I have to know", Pierre replied.

The group knew they should probably give them some privacy but their feet stayed still with curiosity.

"Um..about 20 years ago, my parents took me with them on a research project in the East Antarctic. We were there for about four months when one day my mother went to do some research further out on a thin glacier. She fell and my dad tried to save her but the water was to cold. Neither of them ever came back out of the water. We were in a pretty remote part of that region and not many people knew we were out there so I couldn't get help. I was about seven years old at the time but luckily our research station had plenty of provisions and my father taught me how to fish at an early age. It took about seven months for someone to come looking for us.", said Fargo steadily as he pushed back the tears from the memories.

The group was shocked. Pierre Fargo had teared up and struggled to find a response.

"A-and Belle?", he asked not sure what to say.

"She's alive and well. And I'm sure she'd be thrilled to hear from you, she always said she was holding out for her dream man.", Fargo replied with a warm smile at the thought of her.

Pierre smiled at that as they continued to talk about what had happened while Pierre was asleep.

The ending was kind of abrupt I know but I didn't really know how to end it...suggestions??
