Makoto stared at the crumbled laying flatly against the palm of his hand. He was still trying to process how he got accepted into Hope Peak's Academy.
A rather short girl with long, wavy blue hair wearing a sailor shirt along with a knee-length shirt noticed the boy awkwardly standing in front of the school gates. "Hello?" Makoto jumped, and turned around to face the girl. The girl smiled, "I know you! You're Makoto Naegi, right? We went to middle school together!" The boy nodded, confused, not recognizing her. Finally, it clicked. "Sayaka?"
"A!" She said. "You didn't forget me now, did you?" She tilted her head, pretending to be sad. "No- of course not! Who could ever forget someone like you?" Makoto replied. Sayaka grinned, "You're a sweet guy!"
Makoto blushed, "Thanks," he said sheepishly. "You're blushing!" Sayaka teased, giggling.
A tall, blonde boy wearing glasses and a smart suit appraoched the two. "Excuse me? You two are blocking the gates," he said sternly. Both apologized and moved away from the gate, allowing the other students to enter the building.
"Sorry, Naegi," Sayaka said, seemingly ashamed. "It's my fault, I distracted you." Makoto shook his head, "No, no! It's fine, really!" The girl sighed, "Well, we should get going. Cya," She walked off, waving good bye.
"Bye," He said, after she left. His hand was half-way in the air, shaking side to side very slowly. It then slumped back down, causing the boy to frown and sigh. He walked into the building, not ready for the day that was ahead him.
