"Whoohoohoo!" Kaoru yelled happily and jumped up in the air. The tug on her wrist made her wince, but the hare quickly recovered and bounded down the stairs of the courthouse. "I told you we would win!"

The director smiled softly and shook his head. "You did, indeed, tell me we would win. I'm still not sure how you managed to think of that loophole. How come you didn't think of that sooner?" His brows furrowed as he looked at Kaoru, which she took to mean that he thought she was a genius.

"I didn't know they didn't take the time to read the fine print!" she defended herself. "I say it in every single episode. We. Are. Not. Responsible." She accentuated every single word. "I've given warnings and disclaimers for every single thing I've ever invented! Both on the air and on paper! The toys come with instructions! Well, kind of." A slight blush filled her fluffy cheeks. They might not have been the best instructions in the world, but they had everything important on them. That was the only thing that mattered in this situation. Then, suddenly, a new idea popped into her head. "Oh! We should countersue since they wasted our time and made me lose all that money!"

"That's not how that works," the director with a shake of his head.

Kaoru rolled her eyes. "You don't know. You didn't go to law school!"

"You were too cheap to get a real lawyer."

"Well, I won't be this time!" she insisted. "Besides, once our last episode airs, money won't matter anymore! We'll all be rich! And everything I need will be assembled and ready to go."

"Kaoru, listen to me," the director knelt down in front of her to get on her level. "There's not going to be a last episode. The studio is gone. Your factory is gone. Our staff, for the most part, is gone. There's no place to film, no production company, and no network to even air it if we did film it. It's been eight years." He took her free hand in his and gave it a squeeze. "You have to let it go."

She yanked her hand back. "First of all, didn't I own the network?" At this, the director gave her a blank stare as he stood back up. Either he didn't know, or he thought she was being ridiculous. Kaoru couldn't tell, but she was almost positive that she owned the network. How else would she have been able to stay on air this whole time? "Secondly, I can build things to do all of that. We can do it! It's one episode, how hard can it be?"

"You don't have a factory!" the director insisted. "Where are you going to build all of this stuff?"

"I don't know. My house." Suddenly, a pit of fear built up in Kaoru's stomach. She brought her free hand to her heart as her eyes filled with panic. "I still have a house, right?" She didn't know where she would live if she didn't. It wasn't like Amy or Shadow would let her crash at their place. Ash might, but… When was the last time she'd spoken to Ash? Did Ash live in her house?

"Yes, you still have a house," the director said as if she were being silly, but under his breath, Kaoru could've sworn she heard him say, "I couldn't find the deed." Just as she was about to ask, however, he continued on. "Fine. Listen. I have to head home, but if you can somehow manage to get all of this put together in, let's say," he paused, slightly humming under his breath as he considered everything that had happened, "three days, then I'll help you put on the show if that's really what's going to make you happy."

Kaoru bounced on the balls of her feet. "Deal!" she grinned a grin that brought a look of discomfort to the director's face. Kaoru could tell the director didn't believe she could do it, but oh boy, was she going to be happy to prove him wrong. "I'll meet you in three days at the park outside by my house. Be there or be square! Let's go, Ray!" she finished before quickly hurrying away with her Ray toy attempting to keep up behind her.
