A/N: Soo. Been gone a while, I'm really continuing for me. I hope someone gets some enjoyment out of it.
Tori had decided that she would leave after graduation, and it was only a week away. She just had to figure out how to avoid Beck and Jade until then. It would be hard as she had classes with them, but she would just go to class and leave she decided.
BLING!
Tori didn't even want to look at her phone, but she trudged around her bed anyway to check it.
Beck: Where did you go? I'm worried and I need you right now.
I need you. Those words looked like they were in bold and popped out of the text message. Tori's heart was breaking. The way that Beck had run off to Jade when he'd heard that she was hurt reminded Tori that she did not hold his heart, Jade did. He had asked if Tori loved him and she was sure that she did, but she just wasn't ready to open her heart to that, and she was less ready than ever after tonight.
Tori balled her wet hair onto the top of her head and stretched a tie around it. She crawled into bed and curled into a ball to sleep. She laid awake for what felt like forever and finally succumbed to sleep in the wee hours of the morning.
The morning came too early. Tori felt exhausted and the thought of the day ahead made her feel even more drained. She drug herself from the bed and got dressed and headed downstairs.
"You're late," said Trina.
"Yeah, can you take me to school?"
"Sure, why not? Let's go."
Tori got into the car and zoned out and before she knew it she was getting out of the car in front of Hollywood Arts.
She headed to her first periood class without even stopping by her locker. She had a feeling that it's where Beck would be waiting and she could do without her text for the day.
The bright side was that she had none of the group in her first period physics class. No one else would volunteer to take it with her. At the time, Tori had been upset about it and knew the class would be a drag without one of them. Today, Tori was glad she could avoid them a little longer.
Tori was taking notes when she felt her phone buzz in her pocket. She pulled it out and put it in her lap to appear that she was still writing and opened the text.
Beck: I missed you this morning.Another buzz.Beck: More than usual. Where were you?Tori shoved her phone back into her pocket. She still had no excuse for why she was running, but she didn't want to think about it now. Plus, Beck was in math class and he needed to focusy.
After physics, Tori was forced to go to her locker for a text book and decided to go and leave as quick as possible.
Tori was set in a beeling for her locker when Beck stepped into her path,
"Tori, talk to me. What is going on? You're ignoring my texts, you're trying to avoid me."
Tori kept her head down and walked around him and headed for her locker.
"You may need me, Beck, but Jade needs you. And you have to be there for her." She opened her locker grabbed her text and turned to look him in the face for the first time. "And you have to be there for her, you love her."
Tori walked away and headed for her next class where she knew she would have to talk to Andre. She heard Beck behind her. "Tori, it's not like that."
She kept walking and felt a lump in her throat. This was going to be harder than she thought.
In second period, Tori sat in front of Andre and knew it was only a matter of time before he sat down behind her and wanted an explanation.
She felt a tap on her shoulder, sighed and turned to see Andre's solemn face.
"Are you okay?" It was almost a whisper.
"No, I'm not." Tori turned back to face the front.
"I'm here if you wanna talk. But I won't push you."
The rest of the class went by without Andre trying again. When the bell rang, Tori hopped up quickly and exited the classroom.
She went to her locker and put away her text and closed her locker. Now, it was time for Sicowitz's class. This is the one she had been dreading all day. Maybe it would be a normal day. She huffed and closed her locker and turned to see Beck at his. He locked eyes with her for a split second and dropped his head in defeat.
She started walking. It hurt Tori to see him upset, but she didn't know what else to do. She was causing to much stress for him. His heart strings were being pulled in all directions and Tori didn't want to be a part of the hurt. I'm doing the right thing. Was she trying to convince herself before everyone else?
She sat down in her normal seat in the front of Sicowitz class. Beck had changed his normal seat to the one next to her over a week ago and she hoped that it wouldn't be akward today.
BECK
Beck headed to Sicowitz class with an ache in the back of his throat. After what Tori had said earlier, he understood why she was avoiding him and there was nothing he could do about it until later. So when he walked in and saw her chocolate brown locks spilling over her normal chair, as much as he wanted the smell her scent, he sat in the back row. He didn't want to make things more difficult or push her.
Class went by in a blur. Sicowitz droned on about a play that was coming up that he had produced and then the bell rang. Beck waited for Tori to walk out the door before he got up. It took all of his will not to catch her arm as she passed him. I miss her so much already. What do I do?
Beck decided that he would go to her house after school as he had so many times before. They needed to talk and get it all out in the open. It was going to be a long day.
