A/N: Thanks for the reviews and favourites! Happy to see there is interest in the story I'm creating! Don't worry Josh (reviewer) I'm not abandoning the story I'm creating more chapters every day little by little. I have a bit of content already so there won't be a shortage!

I came about this concept when I read about the Targaryens leaving Valyria and couldn't believe with all their talent and magic no one else took Daenys seriously...this chapter is shorter than the others but the rest are quite long! Enjoy and please review if you enjoy it! I also wasn't happy with the format not seperating out the scenes. So I've started using VF (Valyrian Freehold) to seperate the scenes.

Chapter 3 The Great Valyrian Council

His family had departed and he was alone with Valaer drinking in the dragons dome. Valaer was no dragon rider but he marveled at Aenar's ride nonetheless. Balerion was a sight to behold, black as night and with a deadly power emanating from him. Aenar came and put his hand on his cousins shoulder, Valaer glanced at him.

"Jealous cousin?" He smiled.

Valaer scoffed, "You know I am. Our side of the family didn't inherit this sadly. Our talents lie more with water anyway"

As he says this both their drinks swirl in their glasses.

They both sit down and Aenar tells Valaer about his encounter with Maerya.

"And it was really her?"

"Id know that woman anywhere Valaer. It was her, everything that she was before...and the only thing that changed is she was made of light not flesh. It sent shocks through me just to touch her. But I did anyway" he grinned

Valaer smirked, "You seem...different now"

"I feel like I've woken up to be honest."

Valaer looked confused and tilted his head

"What do you mean?"

Aenar sighs, "For so long I've just felt like a shell. Walking the days but not really...me. I feel like I've been waiting for...something and never knew what that something is..."

"Tell me what else she showed you" Valaer interrupted.

Aenar looked surprised, "How do you know there's more?"

He laughed and put his glass down, "I know you cousin, there's always more"

Aenar downed his drink and chuckled, "We are more like brothers you and I. Yes there's more"

He told Valaer about the ship which piqued his interest and when he described building a castle he exclaimed.

"I didn't know you could wield builders magic!"

Aenar shrugged, "Neither did I until I saw it for myself. Before Maerya died I was learning and using all kinds of magic. My own stupidity is what put a stop to it."

"And what brought all of this back?"

Aenar looked serious again, "She did"

Valaer looked skeptical, "What?"

"She showed me these things and touched me, here" he touched his third eye, "and here" he pointed to his heart.

"I felt something change or move...I can't explain it. And seeing myself doing magic I didn't doubt I could do it. So I revisited the family library and start learning it all again. Which I had time to do now I'm not watching Daenys sleeping every night"

He poured them both new drinks and Valaer stirred them. They sipped in silence for a short while.

"And you say the ship was black with a large dragon figurehead on the prow?" Ask's Valaer.

Aenar nodded, "A huge black fearsome looming dragon. Was really wonderous to see. No idea where it came from though, or should I say will come from"

Valaer nodded thoughtfully staring into the distance, he stirred from his thoughts, "And where was this island you speak of?"

Aenar shrugged, "No idea. Never seen an island like that before in my life. It had a large mountain in the centre and a series of smaller peaks below it. It looked like it was smoking, almost like it was a breathing dragon."

He sat back and laughed, "I could even smell the Sulfur of dragons breath on the breeze. And it had beautiful sandy beaches I intended to land on in this vision"

When he stopped describing his vision over his glass he saw Valaer looking sharply at him in shock.

"Cousin what's wrong? Were you listening to me?"

Night fell over Valyria and the domes of the great families glowed with fluorescent lights. The sky was alive with beautiful colours only disturbed by the wings of their dragons flying through the sky around the city. The streets were quiet as the representatives of major families and governors of Valyria were holding a quarterly meeting to discuss affairs of the great city.

The meeting hall for the government was towering crystal almost translucent with towering pillars big enough for the dragons to enter so their riders can dismount.

The meeting hall itself was a circular room with seating around the walls high up into the top of the room and the governors sat in the very middle. Projecting their voices with magic so all could clearly hear. Major and minor families were here, seated in designated areas and slave lieutenants and various others with an interest in the running of Valyria in the upper levels. It was here that Aenar would announce his departure from Valyria.

The Head Governor of Valyria droned through the agenda of events. Other issues were heard and discussed by relevant parties before it was Aenar's turn.

"Aenar Targaryen is present today to discuss..." the governor leant forward as if he didn't believe what he was reading..."to discuss evacuating the Valyrian Freehold?"

The hall erupted in whispers.

He looked over his spectacles at Aenar, "Tell me my Lord are you in immediate danger to be evacuating like this?"

Aenar bowed to the governor, "We are all in danger High Governor". He said respectfully.

Again, the room broke into murmurs but louder this time which in a room like this was defeaning.

The High Governor called for quiet with a wave of his hand, the room stilled.

"How so my good man? Do you have proof?"

"I have proof that is enough for me, but if it's enough for the Governors I do not know"

"Can you present this proof to us my Lord?"

He steps forward, "I can"

He is holding two orbs of light

The governor looks concerned, the other members of governors whisper among themselves.

The Head Governor waves his hand, "Proceed as you will"

Aenar clears his throat and amplifies it with magic. "People of Valyria! A great tragedy is coming. The might and power of our great nation is at peril and we need to heed this warning. Valyria will fall otherwise"

The room erupts into a mixture of outrage and concern.

He raises the orbs, "See for yourself!"

He throws one high into the air and it projects images of the fall of Valyria.

The room is deathly silent.

As the first orb finishes he throws the second orb which details his and thousands of others dying and burning to ash. Both orbs return to his hand upon finishing. Nobody moves or speaks.

The High Governor clears his throat, "When were these prophecies recorded?"

"Last week High Governor. I didn't act until the second one came."

"Who's prophecies are these?"

"They're my daughters"

"And what is the age of this child sir?"

"Thirteen name days High Governor"

The room erupts into shouts, "Prophecies of children?! We will risk our society because of a child?"

The anger is building and the Governor struggles to control the anger of the Lords as they argue with one another.

From the crowd a woman in a red hooded robe appears beside Aenar. She removes her hood to reveal a dark haired beauty with shining bright blue eyes.

"Might I intervene here High Governor" she commands with a silky smooth yet powerful voice.

He peers down at her with surprise

"And who are you?"

"I am named Kinvara sir, Kinvara from Asshai"

The room erupts in murmurs before the High Governor raises his hand once more

"And you Kinvara want to say something regarding these...prophecies?"

She inclines her head, "If I may"

He sits back in his chair and studies her for a moment, "Proceed Kinvara"

She bows and turns to face the Lords of Valyria

"Good Lords of Valyria. What this man has seen is true. It will come to pass. This child is not alone in what she sees. Others have seen it too. The flames will engulf Valyria and the sea will sweep away all you've built here. If you do not heed this the arrogance that Valyria is untouchable will tear down it all"

Valyrian Lords shout and draw weapons, her comments have done nothing more than anger them. She patiently waits until they die down enough to drown them out with her words

"Your people and children will burn and turn to ash. Your dragons will fall from the sky never to raise again. Your culture will all but die out and with it everything you've contributed to this world. It will be as if you never existed."

The room was deathly quiet.

"And when the Long Night comes in the distant future the people we need the most to save us all will be ashes in the ground. Save yourselves and build some Valyrian outposts for evacuation. I have seen this I know it will come to be"

"And what makes you any better than this girl who has visions?" Tells one loud and belligerent lord. His face is hardened with arrogance and she can see his mind is closed.

"Lord Bellaer I know what it is you do in your home, you had best not comment lest I tell the good people of Valyria who you really are"

She stares at him as he blanches and steps back.

No one else dares to speak for the longest time under her searching glare.

The High Governor shifts uncomfortably, "Mm...Uh Aenar you will submit copies of these orbs for investigation and we will consider your suggestions...Kinvara."

She bows, "Most gracious of you Governor"

She leaves the hall swishing in her red gown.

Aenar turns to the High Governor, "sir we will be evacuating when we find a suitable place to settle"

The High Governor still struggling to process Kinvara's appearance nods, "Approved Lord Targaryen"

Aenar leaves the hall folllwed by whispers of the other Lords.
