Hello! As always thank you for the support you've been giving this story.
If you haven't watched The Flash but are looking for something fun and relax to watch, I recommend it. I was never too into superheroe stuff (My brothers took me to see all the Avengers movies) and this sparked my curiosity. Of course, Flash derives from Arrow, and some other tv series derived from these two, but otherwise, you could just focus on this show. (you'll understand this note when reading this chapter)

Chapter 14: Finally safe?
The girls and Jared stood silent, passing their eyes from one wolf to the other, but neither said anything for what felt like an eternity. Bella felt her nerves were going to make her explode. Had they been distracted by Leah's and Seth's phasing and hadn't had the opportunity to get rid of her? Had the Cullen's forfeited their promise to her? No, she knew they would never break a promise. Carlisle was a man of his word.
Bella looked at Jacob, but his expression was unreadable. What had happened? Why weren't they saying anything? It was a simple question of yes and no.
Emily was still encased in Sam's arms, and he seemed at ease. He wouldn't be at ease if they hadn't killed her. He wouldn't be here, so at peace, if she was still at large. He wouldn't risk his tribe like that. Neither of them would.
"Well?" Jared pressed, still holding Kim to him. She seemed quite contempt in her place.
Sam looked at Embry. In turn, Jared and the girls did the same. "Em?" Jared prodded.
"She's gone." But there was something in his expression that told Bella it wasn't as simple as that.
"What's wrong?" Bella walked to her friend and stood in front of him.
"She was so twisted and deranged." He was disgusted by the memory. She casted a glance at Jacob who didn't look much better than his best friend. "She was crazy. Literally."
Sam continued with the story. "She had two other new turned leeches with her." Emily gasped. "Jasper took care of them, but one of them bit him. I think he was hurting when we left."
Bella made a mental note to contact Jasper and Alice the next day and ask if they were all right.
"Once Jasper got rid of those two, it was easy to kill her. No more distractions and she was completely outnumbered. No chance to escape thirteen people chasing you from all sides. She didn't go without screaming bloody murder. But I must admit we kind of were disappointed by how easy it was to dispose of her." Emily slapped his hand, but her lips trembled lightly, as if fighting a smile.
"Any significant injuries?" Kim asked.
They all shook their heads. "Jake twisted an ankle, and Leah had some scratches over her, but nothing serious." They all nodded in relief.
"So, it's finally over?" Bella looked from wolf to wolf, from imprint to imprint. "She's finally gone?" It seemed too good to be true. She was finally free of the constant fear hanging over her head.
"She's gone for good, honey." Jake promised Bella. She giggled softly first, then laughed a little too hysterically.
Emily was the only one who smiled indulgently at her friend. It mustn't have been easy being the target of a deranged vampire and not having the means to fight her. Having, instead, to stay put while the one you love more than life went out in your place to dispose of the threat, risking their own life.
Jake reached Bella and wrapped his arms around her tightly, whispering softly that it was over, and she was safe. The wolves busied themselves with the food that Emily, Bella and Kim managed to cook in seven hours of worry. They had a banquet in front of them. As always, Emily had cooked the food, and Bella the cookies. Kim had been both girls' sous chef.

…
Later that night, all the wolves except Jacob left the house. Bella walked slowly to her boyfriend who was busy cleaning the last of the dishes left. She put her arms around his waist from behind and trailed her hands up his chest in a soft caress. Jake kissed one of her hands and finished quickly.
"Would you stay over tonight?" She whispered. She needed him.
He turned around and once he was done and hugged her to him. She was so precious to him, and she was completely and utterly safe from any crazy supernatural creature left from her past. Even the leeches were leaving Forks in a few weeks.
"Of course." He conceded, kissing the top of her head.
"I love you." She murmured in his chest.
As much as she wanted to lie naked with him, she didn't want that in that moment, she just wanted to hold him and to be held by him. To feel his arms and his kisses, to just be with him. She felt so relieved that it was intoxicating, and sort of clouding her mind.
Jake kissed her forehead and smiled at her. "I love you too. So much." He then put her face in between his big hands. "You have no idea how it feels that you're finally safe from her. That she's no longer here to hunt you for whatever crazy idea she had."
"You helped get rid of her. I know it was not easy working with the Cullen's, and I hope you know I appreciate that you all did. And that you did not let Edward get into your head if he even tried."
Jake remembered then that he had not told Bella what Edward had said to him. "That reminds me. He approached me after Victoria was dead."
Bella looked up to him to meet his eyes. "What did he say? Did he try anything? Is that why you twisted your ankle?"
Jacob put his hand over her mouth, shutting her up. He smiled amusedly at her frown. "Sorry, honey, but you weren't letting me talk." She made a noise with her throat that he took as a nod to keep talking. "He said that he would always love you, he immensely regrets having left you, that he realized he has to let you go, but that he's only a call away if you need him, and he asked me to take care of you and not hurt you."
He kept his hand on her mouth to tease her. She bit his palm and he jumped surprised, gaining a teasing smile from her.
"I can't believe he said all that." She shook her head. "Now he says all of that. When I needed him the most, he left me without a proper goodbye to anyone, or a good explanation." She was angry that he had dared to say all of that. "What did you answer to him?"
He smiled and grabbed her hips, pulling her towards his body. "Well, if I'm honest, I gave him a very detailed account of how I plan to love you, to take care of you." He winked and Bella gasped. "No, in all seriousness, I did tell him that I would pass along the message, not that he deserved it, but as last string of the pact. And I told him that I love you, and that I would take care of you with my life and love you until my last breath."
Bella didn't know what to say to that, so she kissed him. It was intended to be a sweet kiss, but it soon transformed into something different. This was a fire Bella wanted to get burned into. He ran his hands all over the back of her body, from her legs, her ass, her back, her head. He touched everywhere he managed to reach with his hands. Unfortunately, she didn't have as large arms as he, but she managed to return the burning touches.
She forgot about wanting to be held and nothing more. A need rose from within her core. She needed him to love her as a man was intended to love a woman. Completely, utterly, and irrevocably. She was more than ready to give him her heart in conjunction with her body. This was it for her. She was sure of him, of them as a couple. She would never feel this way again. He was safe with her, and they had many, many human years ahead of them, and many experiences to live. She could see it; she could reach it. The house, the job, the career, the children.
She slowly started walking backwards to the stairs. Jake broke the contact to ask with ragged breath "Are you sure?"
"God, yes!" She answered almost as soon as he uttered the question.
She yelled and laughed surprised at the sudden disappearance of the floor beneath her feet. Jake had carried her bridal style and had begun to climb up the stairs to her room.
She sighed contentedly when he deposited her on the bed and hovered on top of her.
"You're so beautiful." She gushed making him laugh. They both remembered that Bella had said similar words when they took the bikes for a test run.
"I love you, so much." He whispered reverently at the same time he removed her clothes, leaving her only in her underwear.
He removed his shorts and was left naked in front of her. Bella thought that he was, indeed, very well endowed.
She smiled amusedly at her own thoughts but refused to say them out loud when Jake asked what was behind that grin. It was too embarrassing. With pack mind it was inevitable that they learned of her little inside joke. She wouldn't be able to look at them in the eye.
Jake was on top of her, kissing between her breasts, and administering a very satisfying caress to her left breast. She had her legs wrapped around him, creating a delicious friction between her aching center and his erection.
Jake had just started to descend his kisses when one howl came from the woods behind her house. She whimpered disappointed, but she knew he couldn't ignore the howl, it was basically the number one rule 'never ignore a howl'.
"Someone better be dead." He cursed loudly, separating himself from his semi-naked girlfriend that was lying on his bed.
Bella giggled and put the first thing she found over her body, which happened to be a shirt that had been hiding underneath her pillow. It had been a shirt she had stolen from Jake. At least they hadn't gone too far, but just as he was going to unclasp her bra, just as things were getting interesting.
"This is not over." He sentenced pointing at her.
She didn't lose her smile. "I'm not going anywhere." She kneeled on the bed and pecked is lips. "Now, run, Barry, run."
He guffawed louder than she had ever seen him laugh. "You watched The Flash."
She shrugged. "You piqued my interest." And it was a very good tv series. Good jokes, good relationships (and not necessarily the romantic ones) and it had a very nice plot (and very nice-looking actors too.) "Now go, before they come here looking for you."
He left his house in a rush, no need to put his shorts back on if he had to remove them to phase.
He caught up quickly with Paul and Quil that had been the ones who howled. They had caught up a new leech scent. Different than the redhead and different than the Cullen's. But his mind was still replaying (although unconsciously) the last few minutes before the howls.
"You're such a nerd." Quil snorted, making fun of his excitement over Bella watching some superhero show.
"Bite me, Ateara." He quipped.
"Don't mind if I do, 'honey'." That was it, Jacob ran against Quil, who managed to avoid his body by a hair. Jacob pretended to try to bite Quil's tail, but he avoided that as well.
"Boys, boys. We have a leech to catch. Leave your amorous adventures to another moment." Paul yelled, getting the two morons' attention.
