As the days wore on, Lee felt depressed about losing to Neji for the umpteenth time.
I must get better, I must! For Sakura! Lee thought as he trained as hard as he could into the night.
"I'm so tired." Lee said, staggering home.
Slowly stumbling home like a zombie, he saw a hallucination of Neji.
"I see you wish to spar. Come at me then!"
Lee took a fighting stance, ready to attack at a moment's notice.
Neji then spoke to him. "You'll never beat me." He said as a matter of fact.
"We shall see who wins this time; Leaf Hurricane!"
But the spirit didn't get hurt at all, even after a flurry of punches and kicks.
Lee panted. How is he still standing? I don't understand.
After many minutes passed, he collapsed on the ground, only to be carried piggyback style by Guy sensei.
"Training hard or hardly training?" Guy sensei joked when Lee awoke.
"Guy sensei, I'm so sorry!" Lee sobbed into his back.
"It's all right, Lee. I'm proud of you regardless."
"Guy sensei, thank you." Lee said.
"Get some rest next time, okay?" He said as he put him to bed. "Good night."
"Yes. Good night, sensei."
That night, Lee had sweet dreams of beating Neji and going on a date with Sakura.
The End
