Chloe noticed two things when she came to: she had a blinding headache…and she wasn't able to move.

When the spots finally stopped dancing in her vision, she saw that her and Trixie had been tied up and placed in front of some church altar.

"Trix? Trix Honey can you hear me?"

"Mommy?"

Are you okay?"

"I think so," the girl said as she struggled against her bindings, "where are we?"

"I don't know, but I'm sure Lucifer will find us soon."

"I wouldn't be so sure about that."

Chloe looked up to see William Kinley, or at least what used to be him, leering down at her.

"Father Kinley?"

"The good father no longer resides here, you can call me Dromos."

"I take it you're the demon he summoned."

"I am," He said before scrunching his borrowed face in anger, "and you must be the mortal bitch that has corrupted our Lord."

"Corrupted? What do you mean?"

"Lucifer should be down in Hell with us! Instead I find out he's abandoned his duties to play house with some filthy human and her equally filthy brat!"

"Hey! You can't talk to my mommy like that!"

"Oh and why not?" Dromos chuckled,"is your big bad devil Daddy gonna get me?"

Trixie glared at the demon but didn't say anything else. Chloe decided to keep the thing talking while she prayed to Lucifer in her head.

"Don't you think your Lord will be angry with you for taking us and come after you?"

"Oh I'm counting on it. You see, we demons have been slaving away running the infernal realm while that slob of an Angel has been up here playing with his toys, but not for much longer! Once he comes here, my army will destroy him and take the throne once and for all. God's little puppet will rule us no more!"

Chloe looked around the empty room confused.

"What army? I thought the ritual only summoned you?"

"Oh it did, but once a Lilim is topside they can summon their brethren anywhere there's damned souls," He said as he stepped back and threw his arms open in a wide gesture, hundreds of possessed humans filing in around him," and you'd be amazed at just how many damned souls live in a church congregation."

Remiel had just landed on the penthouse balcony when she heard her brothers shouting.

"Lucifer, you can't just waltz in there, it's what they're expecting!"

"What choice do I have?! They have the Detective and Beatrice!"

"What's going on?"

"Remy, thank goodness your back," Amenadiel sighed with relief," the demons have taken Chloe and her daughter in an attempt to lure Lucifer into a trap, and he won't listen to reason."

"I have to save them!"

"Calm down, brother," Remiel said as she slowly approached with her hands raised," Amenadiel's right, you can't just walk into an ambush...but I think I may have an idea."

Maze, who'd been brooding silently in the corner till now, perked up at Remiel's words.

"Are you suggesting who I think you are?"

"Yes, I think it's our best shot."

Lucifer groaned at their implication.

"Oh Dad, not him! Anyone but him!"

"You got any better ideas?"

He was silent for several minutes before shaking his head and putting his hands up in prayer.

The demons were jeering and shouting when the doors to the building slammed open.

"Hello degenerates."

"Lucifer..." Chloe breathed, both relieved and frightened at the sight of him.

"My Lord...so pleased to finally meet with you again."

"Are you? Because it was my understanding that you took something that belongs to me in order to lure me into a trap."

Dromos chuckled, causing the rest of the creatures to laugh as well.

"It clearly worked, or you wouldn't be standing here...now, are you going to submit or shall we destroy your precious Detective?"

The grin the Devil was sporting was unlike anything Chloe had seen. She felt like there was something off about him, but she couldn't quite place what it was.

"Now, now Dromos, if you really thought you had any true leverage here, you wouldn't be asking me to do anything, you'd have just killed us all. So tell me something..."

He walked up to the demon and his eyes flashed, but instead of red they were a brilliant shade of Gold.

"Tell me, what is it that you truly fear?"

The minute the power started to wash over him, Dromos knew he'd made a huge mistake.

"You...you're not Lucifer!"

"Thank Dad for that!"

He'd barely turned when Lucifer, the real Lucifer, sliced his head off with a heaven-made sword.

The body of Father Kinley slumped to the ground as an unholy vortex formed in the center of the room, sucking the traiterous demon back into Hell.

The rest of the army tried to flee, but were blocked by Amenadiel,Remiel, and Mazikeen. They let out a terrible screech as the portal sucked them in as well.

Chloe had managed to work her and Trixie's bonds loose during the exchange, but the two started sliding across the floor as the wind picked up. Before they could get too far, a wall of black and white feathers surrounded them.

When the chaos receded, the wings folded away, and Maze finished cutting the ropes off of Chloe and her daughter, who was in shock at the sight before her.

"Uhm..mommy...why are there two Lucifers?"

Before she could scramble for an answer, her devil spoke up.

"My apologies for not telling you about this before, Detective, but I have an identical twin brother. This is Michael."

"Michael as in Saint Michael? The sibling that sent you down to Hell in the first place?"

"An action I deeply regret," Michael said as he shrugged his ebony wings back into the void. In addition to the difference in feathers, he spoke with a slightly more American accent.

"Yes, we've had some issues, but the only thing I've ever really hated about my twin is his fashion sense."

"What's wrong with the way I dress?"

"Tweed, Michael...need I say more?"

"As hilarious as this family squabble is," Maze interjected,"those demons won't stay down there for long now that they've rebelled."

"Let's get the Detective and her offspring back home, then we'll discuss our next move."

After dropping Trixie off with her father and seeing that Linda was safely taken home by her partners, Lucifer returned to the penthouse with Chloe. He sat her down on the couch before walking over to the bar and grabbing a bottle, then headed back out onto the balcony. He stood there in silence for a long time, taking gulps of whiskey and staring out into the night. It was only when Chloe walked over and put her arms around him that he finally spoke.

"I have to go back."

"For how long?"

"I'm not sure, but if I don't they're going to find a way to escape again."

She leaned against him, tears streaming down her cheeks.

"I don't want you to go, who knows what those demons will do once they have you alone."

"He won't be alone."

They looked over to see Michael and Remiel standing off to the side.

"What are you two doing here?"

"We've come to help you, brother. For too long, you've taken this burden upon yourself, but no longer. I may not be able to make up for what I did all those millenia ago, Sammy, but I can do everything in my power to ensure you're never hurt like that again."

"Well...if you insist. Meet me at the gates. I want to say goodbye to the Detective first."

They nodded at him before disappearing. He set the bottle of whiskey down and wrapped his arms tightly around Chloe.

"I promise, I will find my way back to you."

"I know you will...I love you Lucifer."

"And I you, darling, and I you."

He tilted her chin up and gently pressed their lips together before stepping back and unfurling his wings.

"Goodbye...see you soon Chloe."

And then he was gone.
