Spiel of Fortune

"A?"

"Yes, two As."

"YES!" Lynn cheered as Vanna lit up two A panels with a Bing! Bing!

"Okay, so we now have four letters in our eleven letter word," Pat Sajak said to the audience (and to our eccentric jock) over the TV. "And it's Brad's turn to spin."

"Ha! Like that loser has a chance," Lynn chuckled to herself. "He thought there were Ls in Sassafras." With victory on her mind, Lynn leaned back in her chair with her hands behind her head. "There's only one person more stupid than him."

"Hey Lynn!"

"Speak of the devil," Lynn muttered as Leni walked into the living room. "Oh, are you watching Wheel of Fortune?"

"Yep."

"Huh," the fashion diva remarked, "I thought you were into sports."

Lynn rolled her eyes. "Game shows are competitions and I happen to love competitions."

"Oh," Leni seemed generally surprised at this obvious fact. "Well, can I borrow the TV? I need to tape last night's episode of Dream Boat."

"Shhh," Lynn snapped. "I haven't watched that episode yet."

"Oh, sorry," Leni said. "Don't worry. I won't tell you that Karen chose Bram."

Lynn's eyes went wide.

"Or that Brock turned out to be gay."

Lynn's eyes began to narrow.

"And I DEFINITELY won't reveal that Karen is also pregnant after sleeping with Blaine after last episode's shuffleboard competition. Oh wait, that's doesn't happen until this episode. But you didn't hear that from me."

Steam began to shoot out of Lynn's ears as her face turned bright red. She was about to blow.

"So anyway, do you mind if I borrow the TV? I promise I'll bring it back down, even though it is pretty heavy."

Lynn shot up out of her chair like a cannon and turned to face Leni.

"Lynn, are you okay?" she asked. "You look a little red."

"Leni," Lynn growled through clenched teeth. "I've got a better idea. WHY DON'T YOU-"

Bing! Bing!

"Oh, okay!" Leni said cheerfully before turning on her heels and marching out of the room, while Vanna lit up two I panels on TV.

Lynn breathed a sigh of relief. "Well, that got rid of her." She slipped back into her chair, a smug grin spreading from ear to ear. "Now back to my game!"

"Okay, Tina, you're up again," Pat said. Tina spun the wheel.

"Big Money! Big Money!" Lynn begged, licking her lips in excitement.

"$5000!"

"YES!" Lynn tore the sleeves off her jersey in celebration.

"Okay Tina," Pat said. "You can guess another value or you can-"

Bing! Bing! Bing!

"Huh?" Lynn stared at the screen in confusion.

The camera turned from Pat and Tina to the word board.

"Hi Lynn!" Leni waved. "Thanks for the idea! I like making the "bingy" noise!"

The blond bimbo began rapidly punching the glowing panels.

Bing! Bing! Bing! Bing! Bing! Bing! Bing! Bing!
