AN: Enjoy!

A vacation, Wanda Maximoff had tried to convince her friends, was a bad idea. Especially a vacation in sunny, perfect Hawaii. At least, it was a bad idea for her.

"Have you seen my skin?" Wanda had tried to argue, pinching herself. "I am not made for sunny climates, I'm pale and I burn easily."

"So do I, I was born in Russia" Natasha had argued back. "Darcy's paler than you, and she's coming. Just slap on an extra bit of sunscreen.."

Besides, her friends knew her too well, and had already counteracted any other arguments she might have. They'd bought Wanda's ticket, paid for her hotel room, and Monica had spoken to Wanda's boss to secure her the time off work. Also, the trip was mostly for Nat's younger sister, Yelena, to celebrate her completion of her college degree.

Yelena had always been the slightly annoying, but deeply loved 'baby' of their friendship group.

Wanda wouldn't want to disappoint her, would she?

And that was how Wanda had ended up on vacation in Hawaii. Of course, she still wasn't sure why she'd really bothered.

It wasn't like she was doing anything different than what she usually would on her vacation days, ie, catch up on her ever growing recommended reading list. The only difference was that she was doing said catch up on the sand beneath a large beach umbrella while her friends enjoyed the ocean.

They had encouraged her to join them, but Wanda was having none of it. She had agreed to join them on the trip, but how she chose to spend it was up to her. While Nat and Yelena had pushed the issue a little more, Monica and Darcy had accepted her terms as fair, for which she was grateful. Wanda wasn't a strong swimmer, anyway.

The beach, as expected, was rather packed, although Wanda had managed to find a big enough empty patch for her purposes. There was a man sitting not far from her under a beach umbrella of his own, spending his vacation very similarly to how Wanda was, and a group of holiday-goers playing some sort of ball game, but she was too engrossed in her book to pay them much attention.

At least until the ball came flying in her direction, and when coming to retrieve it, one of aforementioned holiday-goers ended up kicking sand all over Wanda.

"Oops.." said the man, with strangely styled facial hair and overpriced sunglasses, while Wanda sputtered, having inadvertently breathed in some of the rather fine sand. "Sorry, didn't see you there."

"For God's sake Tony, could you pay a little more attention to the people around you?" The man who'd been under the other umbrella, apparently part of this group, had come running over.

"Hey, I said I was sorry" Tony shrugged, fetching the ball and running back to his game. "Maybe if you'd got off your butt and played with us, you could have fetched the ball, and this wouldn't have happened.."

"That is so far from the point.." The man huffed, then turned to Wanda. "Excuse me, are you okay, Miss, uh.. "

Wanda's breath caught in her throat, and not just because there may have been a bit of sand in it.

This man was absolutely gorgeous, with golden blonde hair, sparkling blue eyes, a well-muscled chest, and that perfect British accent that was making her think of a few rather naughty.. She shook her head.

"W-Wanda" She managed to get out. "My name is Wanda."

"I see, uh.. Hello Wanda. I am.. Uh, I'm Vision.. I know it must sound odd, it is a nickname, and I answer to it more than my real.." He stammered, blushing a little.

Vision was adorably, endearingly awkward, and Wanda couldn't help giggling.

"Vision is a nice name" She replied. "It's.. unique."

"Thank you" His blush deepened, because as Wanda would later learn, Vision thought that she, with her soft green eyes and sweet, shy smile, was just about the most beautiful thing that he had ever seen. "I'm sorry about my friend.. He is quite.. Unobservant."

"That's alright. It's not your fault."

"Still, I am sorry. Enjoy the rest of your day, Wanda."

"You too" Wanda smiled.

"Thank you" Vision returned to sit under his own umbrella.

For the rest of the day, every so often, Wanda and Vision would exchange shy glances, but they did not speak again.

Wanda hadn't really expected to see Vision again. Thousands of people holidayed in Hawaii this time of year, and out of thousands, it seemed quite unlikely to run into one particular person more than once.

So she was quite surprised, and maybe a little bit pleased, to realise that Vision was staying at the same hotel, greeting her with a nod and a shy smile.

"Who's the hottie?" Darcy nudged Wanda's shoulder after Vision had passed by.

"No-one.." Wanda mumbled, blushing, "Just a guy who sat near me on the beach.."

The following day, Wanda had reclaimed her spot on the beach, and returned to her book, when she heard a commotion, including a familiar British accent, and looked up to investigate.

"I can't believe you broke my umbrella!" Vision was yelling, a beach towel and his own book tucked under his arm.

"It was an accident" Tony shrugged. "I fell on it while I was drunk after all those cocktails at the Tiki Bar."

"That doesn't make it okay!" Vision snapped.

"What fun is a vacation if you're just gonna sit there and not have fun? Losing the Umbrella for the day might do you good."

"You know I have other plans for Tomorrow, but if I'm going to be on the beach Today, I need to be out of the sun. I'm English, you know how easily I burn.."

"He's right, Sir" said another man, who appeared to be a bodyguard of some sort, "Breaking the umbrella was kind of a dick move."

"Well.." Tony tried.

"Excuse me.." Wanda interrupted them, the words spilling out of her mouth without really thinking about it, "I don't mind sharing my umbrella."

"Perfect!" Tony patted Vision's shoulder and winked, then departed with the bodyguard, Happy. "Have fun, I'll see you at dinner!"

"I.. I wouldn't want to intrude, Wanda" Vision frowned.

"Don't worry about it, there's plenty of room" she shuffled over a little.

"If you really don't mind.."

"Of course not. I understand. I burn easily, too.."

"Alright.." Vision carefully laid down his towel, and took a seat beside her.

For a while, they simply sat side by side, reading, but after a while, they got to chatting. Vision was one of the only people Wanda had ever met that had immediately recognised her accent as Sokovian.

As it turned out, Wanda and Vision had quite a bit in common. They had both emigrated to America from their home countries, were both currently based in New York (Wanda would be lying if she claimed that didn't excite her just a bit), and had both been talked into this holiday by their friends.

"It's not that I didn't want to come on the trip, necessarily. Hawaii is a beautiful place" said Vision. "But.. Tony and I have rather different ideas of 'fun'."

"You're telling me. my friends have gone ziplining today" Wanda chuckled, looking around. "I actually didn't want to come on this trip to begin with.. But you're right, it is beautiful."

"You really think so? Because I.." Vision asked, suddenly excited, but just as quickly trailed off, blushing.

"You what?" asked Wanda gently.

"Well.. I have an extra ticket for an Island Tour Tomorrow.. To see a volcano, one of the waterfalls, a bit of Hawaiian history" said Vision shyly. "I was going to ask if you wanted to accompany me.. But it's ridiculous. You wouldn't want to go on a tour with a man you've just met.."

Was it ridiculous, really? Yes, they had only just met, but Vision was sweet, friendly, easy to talk to.. And yeah, kinda hot. Wanda liked him. Plus, it was a tour, so it wasn't like they'd be completely alone. And maybe it wouldn't be the worst thing in the world for Wanda to spend at least one day of her vacation doing something other than reading on the beach. And so, she said..

"I'll come with you."

"You will?" Vision's eyes lit up, like sparkling blue gems, and Wanda found her breath catching in her throat once more.

"Sure" She managed to reply. "A tour is probably more my speed than whatever adventure sport my friends have planned, so long as I keep my hat on and lather myself in sunscreen.. What time do we leave?"

"W-Well, the tour bus leaves at 9:30 AM.." said Vision, still rather surprised that she had agreed to come with him. "Maybe meet me outside the Hotel at 9:15?"

"It's a date" Wanda replied, immediately blushing. "I mean, not a 'date' date, but.."

"I know what you meant" Vision chuckled, his own cheeks still slightly pink. "I'll see you then."

"Yeah, see you then."

They returned to their books after that, but both were strangely content.

"Wanda's got a date!" Darcy squealed. "It's with the beach guy isn't it? I knew he liked you!"

"Well, yeah, it is the beach guy, but it's not a.." Wanda started, before being interrupted.

"A date, huh?" Natasha smirked. "What kind of date? Have you waxed?"

"Natasha!" Wanda cried, embarrassed.

"Eugh.. That is disgusting" said Yelena, wrinkling her nose.

"Definitely TMI" Monica agreed, nodding.

"Thank you Yelena, Monica" Wanda smiled, though still a little annoyed, "But if you really must know, Nat, the answer is 'No', because this is not that type of date.. It's not even really a date at all."

At least, that was what Wanda tried to convince herself. And yet, she couldn't help the butterflies in her stomach as she met up with Vision the following day.

He was such a gentleman, making sure she got on the bus before him, and giving her the window seat. Pointed things out to her, even beyond the Tour guide's explanations. Paid for her lunch at one of their stops, despite her objections.

Vision made sure to keep Wanda close so that she did not get lost in the crowds of tourists, held her hand when she was startled by a noise at the volcano they visited.

Wanda found her heart warmed by his smiles, and soaring when he laughed. His voice had a soft, calming quality, and he listened intently when Wanda had something to say, and patiently answered any questions she had when she missed something the Tour Guide said.. mostly because she was too busy watching him, charmed by his smile.

Now, the tour had stopped at a rather gorgeous waterfall. Wanda had handed Vision her phone after he had offered to take a picture for her. She had posed, and smiled, and Vision was lining up the shot.. And then he had sort of frozen for a moment, just staring..

"Uh, Vizh?" Wanda chuckled, not sure where the nickname had come from, "Is something wrong?"

"Hmm? No, nothing's wrong" Vision blinked, taking the picture and handing back Wanda's phone. "Sorry, I must have zoned out for a moment."

Later, Wanda would realise that this was because she was charming him, too.

It seemed like, all too soon, their day together had come to an end. They and a few other tourists disembarked from the bus, but rather than head inside as others were doing, both Wanda and Vision lingered for a while.

"I, uh, had a nice time.." said Wanda, blushing. "Thank you for inviting me."

"Thank you for accompanying me.." Vision replied, blushing himself. "I suppose we should.."

"Head inside.. yeah.." But Wanda made no effort to do so. She felt somehow drawn to Vision, reluctant to leave his company.

"This.. this is probably going to sound ridiculous" said Vision, turning to face her. "And you may end up thinking that I am a creep, and want to get away from me as soon as possible, but.."

"But what?"

"I.. I would very much like to kiss you right now.."

"Right.." Wanda swallowed.

"Like I said, it's ridic.. Mmmm.." Vision was cut off when Wanda suddenly kissed him, throwing her arms around his neck, and though he was surprised for a moment, soon kissed her back, pulling her closer to him.

The kiss was surprisingly deep and passionate for a first kiss, definitely more than any other first kiss that Wanda had experienced so far in her life, and yet, it also felt more, well, right than any other first kiss that she had experienced. His lips were soft and warm, moving so perfectly against her own, and he tasted of the tropical fruits on the motel's breakfast buffet, and Wanda found herself hoping her own breath didn't taste of anything unpleasant.

The moment was shattered, though not entirely ruined, by a passing tourist yelling:

"Get a room!"

Vision broke the kiss.

"I.. um.." Vision looked as though he was about to apologise.

Wanda was having none of that.

"Well.. do you have your own room?" she asked him, raising an eyebrow.

"Uh.." He blinked. "Yes."

"Can you show me?"

The pupils of Vision's gorgeous blue eyes darkened.

"Yes."

Vision led Wanda back to his hotel room, and almost as soon as they were inside, Wanda was kissing him again, and her hat, no longer needed, was tossed aside, followed not too long afterwards by Vision's shirt, and then her own.

"I really don't do this kind of thing often.." Vision murmured, pressing his lips to Wanda's neck, his hands beginning to roam, fumbling at the clasp of her. "For some reason it is important to me that you know that.."

"Neither do I.." Wanda murmured, her breath catching. "Fair warning, I am embarrassingly unprepared. I haven't shaved, or waxed, or.."

"Why should that matter?" Vision lifted his head to look at her, adorably confused. "You are beautiful exactly as you are, Wanda. That's what I was thinking when I took your picture at the waterfall.. You are beautiful, and you should never think you have to change a single thing about yourself.."

Wanda blushed brightly, then smiled, kissing him again.

"You are the sweetest guy I have ever slept with on Vacation. Although like I don't do this often, or go on many vacations, so the bar is admittedly not that high, but.."

"I will take it as a compliment" Vision chuckled, kissing her deeply.

They shed the rest of their clothes, falling onto Vision's bed. Vision worshipped Wanda's body with his mouth, her thighs, her stomach, her breasts, showering kisses everywhere he could reach, murmuring how beautiful he thought she was.

He was treating her like something precious, like someone he already loved, and though Wanda had never really believed in love at first sight, when she looked at him, this sweet, gorgeous man, she believed that someday soon, she really could love him.

Vision crawled back up to hover over her, reaching to fumble in his bedside drawer for the pack of condoms he was suddenly very happy that Tony had made him bring. Fumbled just as much with the wrapper, suddenly nervous.

"It's alright.." Wanda propped herself up on one elbow, shifting to help him, taking the wrapper and using her nails to help open it. "Those things can be tricky.."

"They can.." Vision blushed, taking the condom to carefully roll it on, "And I am, uh, a little out of practice.."

"That's okay" Wanda replied, laying back and gently pulling him over her, his lower body cradled between her legs, somehow already feeling like a perfect fit, and he wasn't even inside her yet. "We don't have to rush anything, I've got nowhere else to be."

"Are you sure about this?" Vision asked her gently, stroking her face. "We don't have to.."

"I want to.."

"Okay.." Vision kissed her softly, shifting his hips and slipping inside her, both of them softly crying out.

Vision moved in slow, deep thrusts, hitting just the right spot, and Wanda bit her lip, moaning softly. He really was a perfect fit, and after a while, Wanda managed to buck her hips, moving in time with his thrusts, hooking her legs around him to draw him deeper, enjoying the sounds of pleasure she drew from his throat.

They took their time, which probably seemed strange for a random holiday hook up, but that's not what it felt like. Though Wanda and Vision hardly knew each other, their coupling just felt good, right. More than a hookup, they were truly making love.

Heat and passion built between them, the sounds of their mutual pleasure building as they each headed for their peak.

Somehow sensing that they were both close, Vision sped up his movements, until Wanda came with a cry of his name, and he followed moments later, with her name on his lips.

And when Wanda came down from her high, she found Vision gazing at her, seeming strangely awestruck. He looked at her like she was special, beautiful, someone he could love.

"Hey.." She blushed, increasingly certain that she could love him too.

"Hello.." Vision pressed a kiss to Wanda's forehead. "Are you okay?"

"Yeah" Wanda smiled, feeling strangely content, like she was exactly where she belonged. "I really think I am."

A short while later, they lay happily tangled together. Though Wanda knew she would have to leave eventually, she currently had no desire to move. She'd already texted Monica, to tell the others that she might be back a little later than expected.

"Wanda?" Vision murmured, playing with her hair.

"Yeah, Vizh?" She sighed, leaning into his touch.

"This may sound ridiculous.. and you have every right to say no.."

"Ridiculous has worked out pretty well for me on this trip" Wanda chuckled. "What is it?"

"I was wondering if we might catch up.. back in New York" said Vision, shyly. "And have dinner, maybe? If you want.."

"I'd love to" Wanda smiled. "Hand me your phone, I'll give you my number."

About a year later, when she was in the midst of planning a destination wedding in Hawaii, she and Vision wanting to wed in the same place that they had met, Wanda was forced to admit to her friends that she was glad they'd forced her to join them on vacation.

Very glad indeed.
