The Legendary Swords

Karma POV:

Previously:

"See you soon Aubree," Karma said. Aubree wiped a tear from her eye.

"See you soon Karma". And with that, Karma vapor traveled away, to a major water source so he could use his new move, Planetary Vapor Travel. If he was in a major source of water, he could vapor travel to other planets. Karma smiled, his adventures were just beginning.

Present:

Karma had used his move, planetary vapor travel (sounds awesome by the way) to relocate himself upon a new planet. As he reappeared, he found himself in a bustling plaza, people of all species walking around and buying items. Karma walked around and milked in the sights. This place was amazing.

Karma looked around and found a bar. He scratched his head. He was 22, so he could drink alcohol, though he decided not to. Bad memories of Smelly Gabe filled his mind. He was happy Gabe was now a statue. As he walked into the bar, he sat down on the counter. There were a lot of very huge, and muscular people in the bar, and they seemed to be waiting for somebody.

He turned around on his barstool to face the bartender, a young woman with blue skin, four eyes, and horns on her head.

"Can I have a non-alcoholic drink please?" asked Karma. The bartender nodded her head.

"Any specific flavors?" she asked.

"What do you have?" Karma questioned.

"We have Skyplar, Ecrosis, Gillweds, Conorpho, Juger-," Karma cut her off.

"Can you give me something blue?" he asked, not knowing any of the flavors she was talking about. She shrugged and poured him a light blue drink, and handed it to him.

In the bar, Karma listened to people talk, hearing them recount myths, and legends. One that had piqued his interest was the story of dual blades, the swords of Impurity, and Purity. Apparently, they were very strong.

Tales of previous owners amazed him, hearing how the swords were different with each owner. He heard a tale of a Dragon-Born named Kathodis, that wielded one of the swords. He was able to use his flames to increase the strength of the swords and made flames of impurity spouting from his weapon. Karma was excited. He really needed some swords, and those dual swords sounded like the perfect thing. He had also heard that no one had ever wielded both swords at the same time. 'I am up for the challenge' thought Karma.

The bartender walked over to Karma, looking a little worried.

"If I were you I would get out of that seat," the bartender warned. Karma looked at her quizzically.

"Why is that?" he asked. His question was soon answered when a huge person walked into the bar. He had a huge horn, and grey skin, and looked a lot like a rhino. From what he had heard, that guy was a beast-man. The beast-man walked up to Karma, his nose flaring. The entire bar grew silent and watched the pair.

"That's my seat punk," the beast-man said.

"Aw snap, Dhino is going to destroy that idiot," someone said from the background. The beast-man now confirmed as Dhino cracked his knuckles.

"You have 10 seconds to get out of my chair, or you're getting pummeled," Dhino snarled.

Karma pretended to think for a second.

"Hmmmmmm," he paused dramatically. "No thank you". The entire bar froze. Many mouths hung open in shock. The bartender stepped away from the two, not wanting to get involved in the fight. Dhino looked surprised. Karma guessed most people didn't stick up to him.

"What did you just say punk?" Dhino asked.

"I guess those tiny little ears would make it hard to hear. I said," he cupped his hands around his mouth. "No thank you!" The bar was once again shocked by the carelessness Karma had. Dhino's face started to become red and you could see steam coming from his ears. 'He looks a lot like Ares' Karma thought to himself.

"I guess I haven't squashed anybody in a while huh. Thank you for volunteering," Dhino jeered, raising his fist. Karma just took a sip of his drink and looked up at Dhino calmly. He grinned and brought his hand down to where Karma was sitting.

Quick as a flash, Karma jumped out of his seat and flipped over Dhino. The chair was demolished, and the floor had a hole in it from his impact. Dhino turned around, enraged. He swung at Karma again. Karma dodged him again. Dhino threw more and more punches, each being dodged by Karma. Karma was now crouching on the bar counter, Dhino's back to him. Dhino quickly turned around, only to be met by a fist in his face.

The impact sent Dhino flying, a few teeth fell on the floor. Dhino crashed into another table and laid unconscious in the rubble. Karma cleaned off his fist, ignoring the amazed stares he was getting. He turned to the bartender like he didn't just knock out the infamous Dhino with one punch.

"What's your name?" he asked.

"Cheryll," she quickly responded. Karma reached into his pocket and felt a pouch of money. 'Oh thank god' thought Karma. Aubree had realized he would forget some money, so she gave some to him. He pulled out the pouch and tossed it to Cheryll.

"Sorry for the damage to your fine establishment, you can keep the change," Karma told her. Cheryll nodded, her surprise evident in her face. Karma turned to the men talking about the swords.

"The Impurity and Purity swords, where can I find them?" he asks. The men looked stunned.

"You mean the swords of life?" he asked. Karma nodded. The man pulled out a piece of paper and wrote something down.

"The sector of the planet rumored to have the sword is right here," the man told him. Karma nodded and started to leave. "Oh and thank you," the man said. "Someone had to show Dhino that he couldn't push everyone around. Karma nodded and left the bar. He was pumped. He had a new adventure, to find some legendary weapons, and he just showed a jerk not to mess with him. Karma shook his head. He was focused now. 'Let's go' thought Karma.

Karma had found the train station that could take you to different places. He would rather not do another planetary vapor travel, as it was very draining. He walked up to the ticket booth. Waiting there was a man, who had red fur covering his entire body.

"Hello sir, where would you like to go this pleasant day?" the man asked cheerfully. Karma pulled out the sheet of paper he had been holding.

"Can I go to-," he squinted his eyes. 'Stupid dyslexia' he thought to himself. "Can I go to Aquelious?" Karma asked, finally able to make out what the paper said. The cheerful ticket man nodded his head, and used his many many tentacles, and grabbed the needed ticket, and handed it to Karma.

"Your payment?" he asked, holding out a tentacle. Karma reached into his backpack this time and felt even more pouches of money. 'Aubree knows me well' thought Karma. He pulled out a pouch and grabbed some coins, handing them to the man. "Thank you, the ticket man said, and the gate opened for Karma to walk in. He looked around in aw. This place was amazing. People of all kinds went to get on the train. He found his train and got on, picking a compartment to sit in. Only one other person was there, a boy that looked almost human, if it weren't for his pale white complexion, his pure white hair, and the black mask he was wearing, that seemed to be attached to his face. The mask was black with carved symbols, and it only covered the top portion of his face, not including his mouth, Karma sat down on the opposite side of the boy, you seemed to be sleeping. As Karma sat down, the boy woke up, showing Karma his blood-red eyes, with pointed pupils. He opened his mouth to yawn, which displayed his sharp fangs.

Karma did a double-take. Was that a vampire? The boy seemed to notice Karma staring at him, and gave Karma a little wave.

"Hi my name is Blake, and you are? Blake asks curiously. Karma snaps out of his daze.

"Karma, my name's Karma," he told him. Blake nodded and looked away, while Karma continued to stare.

"Do you need something?" Blake asked. Karma snapped out of it.

"Um no, I just…. Are you a vampire?" Karma asked. Blake chuckled.

"You would not believe how many people ask me that," he told him. Karma said a quick apology but Blake waved it off.

"Yes I am a vampire, though the correct term is Archexile," Blake told him. Karma nodded thoughtfully. "What are you," Blake asked. Karma hesitated. As far as he knew, no humans had ever explored this much of the universe. He didn't know if he should be telling people his race. Blake noticed Karma's hesitation and waved his hand.

"It's no problem if you don't want to tell me," Blake said. Karma nodded gratefully and looked out the windows. It was an amazing sight. There were multiple planets insights, all different colors. He awes.

"So where are you going?" Blake asked.

"I'm going to Aquelious," Karma told him.

"Me too," Blake exclaimed.

"Yeah, I heard one of the swords of life were there, so I thought I'd go and explore," Karma told the archexile. Blake nodded knowingly.

"I'm also going at the chance of treasure. I'm actually a treasure hunter and heard there were bountiful riches here as well. If we find the treasure, you can keep the sword," Blake told him.

"If we find it?" Karma asked. Blake nodded.

"We have the same goals, might as well go together," Blake told him, holding out his hand. Karma saw no reason to refuse and shook Blake's hand.

"Sure why not".

The train finally came to a stop, and both Karma and Blake stepped out of their compartment. Karma looked around and milked in the view. The place was amazing. Sea creatures of all shapes and sizes. The buildings were inside air bubbles that kept the water out. The whole planet was underwater.

"Let's go check this place out," Blake exclaimed excitingly. The duo explored the city, looking at oddities they had never seen before. Karma and Blake were sitting in a restaurant, ordering some food.

"Can I have the Nigathu meat please?" asked Blake. The waiter nodded and turned to Karma.

"Can I have the uh…..the Icar-... can I have something blue?" asked Karma. The waiter looked at Karma quizzically but complied with his wishes. Blake looked at Karma curiously.

"You act as you have never seen this stuff before," Blake points out. Karma laughs it off.

"My home planet didn't have a lot of connections to other planets, so this is all kind of new to me," Karma told him. Blake nodded. The two continued to have senseless chat until an explosion was heard.

BOOM! The noise shook the streets. Karma and Blake shot up and rushed out of the shop. They looked around. Karma pointed out where the noise came from, and the two hurriedly made their way towards the sounds. As they got closer, they could hear screaming. As they got to the sight they froze. Part of the air bubble had been destroyed, and creatures that were growing a white light emerged from the hole, attacking any people they saw. Karma looked at Blake, who had a similar look in his eyes.

"I'll go and plug up the bubble so no more of these creatures can get in, can you help the citizens, I'll join you after," Karma said. Blake nodded and rushed off into the distance. 'Let's deal with this then' Karma thought to himself, rocketing between the buildings.

Blake POV:

Blake hurriedly made his way to a spot with an abundance of these creatures. People were running and screaming. Blake was stopped on his path by three of these creatures.

"Impure," it whispered. "You are impure!" It lunged at Blake, who ducked and rolled under it. It stopped itself and looked back. The other two creatures growled at him. Blake started to glow red, and a thin string started to appear around his body.

"Red string of fate," he started. "Help me defeat my enemies". The red string swirled around his arm and pointed at the glowing beast behind him. It shot at the beast, impaling it in the heart. The beast yelped and struggled, but it became weaker and weaker. He grabbed the string with his other hand and pulled the corpse of the beast. He swung it around, slamming it into the other 2 beasts, effectively killing them.

Blake continued to run and stood in a plaza, where multiple of the glowing creatures were terrorizing. Another creature jumped from the building, and Blake dodged his attack. The creature had mantis-like limbs and was glowing like the rest.

"Must purify," it said and lunged at Blake. The strings that surrounded his arm shot four different strings at the offender, impaling him in his legs and arms. The power from the creature drained from it, and Blake seemed to be getting stronger. He let it go and looked around. 'I seem to have enough power from these things to use that' Blake thought to himself.

He held hands in the air. A dark red aura started to appear on his hand.

"Feeding time," he said to himself, and the strings started to change, becoming bat-like creatures. The creatures flew around, swarming upon the glowing monsters, before flying to a new victim, leaving a corpse in their wake.

When all the creatures were finished off, the string-bats came back to Blake and unraveled, becoming string once again. After that, the string disappeared. Blake brushed himself off. He hoped Karma was doing as well as him. 'I better go help' thought Blake.

Karma POV:

Karma had underestimated the number of creatures that would appear from the hole. He was slashing left and right and didn't have time to focus on the hole. He needed someone else to help him. He jumped off the building and stomped on one of the monsters, which he used to propel himself away from the creatures.

He slashed some more of them and didn't see the creature behind him until it pounced. He turned around but he wasn't quick enough. Just as the creature was about to claim Karma's head, a red string pierced his head. Karma turned around to see Blake.

"Need some help?" Blake asked. Karma nodded. Blake let loose more strings, piercing and stabbing his enemies. Karma used this opportunity to rush towards the hole. Karma felt a tug in his gut. Without distractions, Karma used his abilities to plug up the hole, stopping anymore of those creatures from coming into the city. He sighed and wiped the sweat off his forehead.

"Thanks for the help Blake," Karma said. Blake nodded.

"Back to you as well," Blake said.

"So what should we do now?" Karma asked. Before he could respond, marching footsteps could be heard. The duo turned around to see an army of ectoplasm people turning up, weapons in hand. The one leading the march was more decked up in artillery, holding a rifle like an object, among other things.

"You two," the man said. Karma and Blake looked around, before pointing at themselves confused.

"Yes you," the man said. "You have been ordered by the king to report to the castle. We hope you will come with us".

Karma gulped. He hoped this was good. He hadn't had the best experience with kings since he had left earth, so he hoped that this one was different.

"Let's go then," Blake said, shrugging his shoulders.

"Ok," Karma replied, following Blake.
