This is a cute story about Ben and Miranda buying candles because y'all know they love to set the mood with candles. Enjoy!
It was the first weekend that Ben and Miranda had to themselves in a long time because their schedules were either opposite of each other or the boys were around. They laid on the couch wrapped up in blankets after having amazing morning sex. Miranda was laying between Ben's legs with her back against his body as they scrolled on their phones when he got an alert that Bath & Body Works was having a Saturday sale.
"Baby, baby there is a Saturday sale at Bath & Body Works," Ben announced enthusiastically.
"Oh, we gotta get up and get dressed because you know those lines are crazy and it's hard to find good parking at Westfield," Miranda said trying to unwrap herself from the blanket.
Ben quickly threw his leg over Miranda and stood up while she was still struggling to get free of the blankets. "Ben how did I get wrapped up in these blankets like this," she whined as Ben snickered at her frustration and helped her.
She finally got free and threw the blanket back on the couch then scurried off to their bedroom. Ben groaned looking at his wife's naked body jiggling as she slightly jogged towards their bedroom.
"Aht, Aht Ben Warren we don't time so don't make that noise," Miranda playfully scolded him.
Ben slapped her booty hard making her shriek as he ran pass her. Ben laughed as he made it into their bedroom, "I won so I get to pick the candles," Ben announced throwing his arms up in victory.
Miranda scrunched up her face and rolled her eyes as she slowly walked into their bathroom and turned on the shower.
"Don't brag so much about winning when the real prize is the reason behind why we keep so many candles Benjamin Warren and I'm sure that's more important to you than winning," Miranda implied as she leaned up against the door post slowly stuck her butt out at Ben.
"You're so right you can pick the scents," Ben said surrendering his win as he rushed towards Miranda pulling her close and thrusting himself up against her butt causing her to squeal and laugh.
The couple finished showering and they stood in the bathroom mirror brushing their teeth quickly and doing their facial cleansing routine. Miranda brushed her hair as Ben did the same and then they rushed to put on clothes.
"Which one of us is driving?" Miranda asked as they walked to their front door.
"I'll drive," Ben answered as he opened the door and they walked out and towards the car.
As they made it into the parking out of the Westfield Southcenter mall, they both with alertness and focus surveyed the parking lot for a close spot to park.
"THERE! Right there Ben, that person is about to back out," Miranda said pointing.
Ben patiently but anxiously waited for the person to back out trying to make sure no other car would try to come take the spot as soon as the car backed out, Ben smoothly drove into the spot and hopped out to open Miranda's door. They put their face masks on and held hands as they walked into the mall and walked towards the Bath & Body Works store.
"Ben there is already a crowd, you know how much I hate crowds," Miranda complained.
"Well baby we know what we came to do and that there would potentially be a crowd and we're already here so no turning around," Ben said kissing her forehead and dragging her towards the store.
Ben and Miranda were greeted by an associate who offered them a basket that they happily accepted and quickly began smelling candles.
"Hmmmm do we want to go ahead and get fall candles or just stick with our usual fragrances for now?" Miranda asked picking up a candle and smelling it.
"So that we don't have to make another trip for awhile we can do both," Ben told her. He grabbed another basket because he knew that they were buying many.
They smelled and agreed on several scents, Almond blossom, vanilla birch, Midnight Blue Citrus, Sundrenched Linen. "Oh Ben smell this one it's a new scent," Miranda said smiling as she placed it to his nose.
"Umm Open Sky smells really good, we should get two of those since it's 2 for 20 for the single wicks," Ben suggested.
"Baby look, Vampire Blood and Haunted Nights you can have for Halloween," Miranda said showing Ben the candles and he giggled and smiled with excitement because Halloween was his favorite holiday.
They continued to pick up and smell several more until their baskets were full and heavy. Miranda scurried to the line because this was her least favorite part about shopping at this store and Ben laughed as he watched her hurry to get in line. They waited about seven minutes before it was their turn to check out and Ben lifted the baskets onto the counter.
"Wow you two are buying lots of candles," the cheerily cashier said.
"Yes, we like to keep a nice size collection," Ben said wrapping his arm around Miranda's waist as the cashier rung them up. They brought 14 candles altogether but only paid for 10 because the 3 wick candles were buy 3 get 2 free and the single wicks were 2 for 20.
After they left the mall Miranda snatched her mask off. "Hmmm after all this shopping I'm kind of hungry Ben," Miranda said.
"Okay baby we can go to that place that has those bagel chips that you like," Ben suggested.
Ben put the candles in the back of their truck then opened the door for Miranda before getting in the car himself. Once he got in the car Miranda squirted some hand sanitizer in his hand before they drove off.
As they drove through downtown Miranda saw Seattle Candle Company and saw a sale sign in the window. "Oh Ben let's stop at Seattle Candle Company, they have a sale going on too," Miranda said.
"You sure Miranda? You just said you were hungry," Ben asked.
"Yeah I know but they're having a sale Ben," Miranda whined.
Ben slid over into the other lane until he found a park beside the store. He ran around and opened Miranda's door and they hurried into the store. Miranda looked at the price and noticed that majority of the candles were only 10.
"The candles are only 10 so how many should we get," Miranda asked Ben as she turned to him.
"However many you would like to get baby," Ben answered.
So they just began picking up and smelling as many as they could. Vanilla Sandalwood, Oakwood Sage, Violet Orchid, and Seattle Rain were the ones they choose and got two of each as Miranda placed the basket on the counter.
Once they left the store they got the food they wanted and went back home. Ben brought all of their items into the house while Miranda took their food out and fixed it on a plate. They sat and talked while they ate then moved to the cabinet that they kept their candles in and organized them together.
They lit a few of the ones they already had before finding a movie on tv and relaxing on the couch back in the same position they were in at the beginning of the day.
"Ben thank you for this day out and shopping," Miranda said turning her head and kissing his chin.
"No, thank you it was so nice to spend time out with my wife and now we have plenty more candles to set the mood when we want to," Ben replied kissing her forehead.
"Ummm well the mood is already set," Miranda said looking around the room at the candles that they had lit.
"Well if your feeling in the mood let's do some not talking," Ben said as he kissed her lips, turning the tv off, and turning the music on as Miranda turned over to kiss him deeper.
The End.
