Im The Person: Thank you for your compliments. While your... theories over Izuku's female companion are interesting, I am afraid the answer is neither. I have a certain role for Gentle Criminal in this story and La Brava's relationship is necessary to it. As for the question of OFA? Stay tuned. Regarding the pairing, I have given no thought to it and it is very unlikely I'd be including any romance in this story whatsoever. It does not work with the type of story I am aiming for. Secondly, I am also quite bad at writing romance. Of course, I could always change my mind if there is a popular demand for it but the chances are rather low... even if I did engage in it, it would be minimal.

geci1000: I would not go as far as to say it was perfect but I really appreciate your support.

There are certain things I wanted to say before going further. I would recommend you read them. It is regarding the manga spoilers. Simply put, it would be impossible to avoid them. Most of the information we have about AFO, both as a Quirk and person has been revealed in the last couple of arcs and is being revealed currently that won't be covered in the anime for the next few seasons. I fully intend to utilize it in my story. While I cannot guarantee anything, I will try to make sure I give out spoiler warnings before each chapter if it reveals any particular major plot points. That said, you have been warned.

Anyhow, let me know if you guys enjoy it or not down in the reviews.

Disclaimer: Alas, I do not unfortunately own this franchise.

Amalgamation

Izuku loved the feeling of wind in his hair as he soared through the sky. He felt himself falling before his feet hit another roof and just like that he jumped harder than before. This was another one of his Quirks, Spring Step. Izuku always felt the name of Quirk explained it self-sufficiently, it turned his legs into springs. At least in function and thankfully not in appearance. His legs functioned as huge springs would allow the ability to jump farther and farther with more force generated, great speed, and incredible kicking strength.

Spring steps, Accelerated healing, Bio Manipulation, Calory burn, Karmic Punishment, and two unnamed passive durability and strength Quirks. This is what he worked with when he was outside, and his power set worked well. He had... two more Quirks that were reserved for emergencies... they were simply put, too powerful and dangerous for him to use. In all honesty, he was not certain exactly how many quirks he really had.

While he was out at night, Izuku never used his Inferno since it was registered to him. Out here he used Enhancer Quirks since they were the easiest to use quirks. The only downside apart from his urges Izuku had discovered of his real Quirk was that he did not get any inherent understanding over how any Quirk he took worked. No, he had to figure that part out the hard way. Enhancer Quirks were easy to understand and use... unlike Emitter Quirks or even Mutations and transformations.

Added to that, Izuku tended not to take any Quirks unless his life depended on it... for several reasons. One, the more Quirks he had, the less control and precision he could have over them. Quirks needed training and practice, he could not just master every Quirk, so he had to stick to those he knew well. That was his Inferno, the one Quirk he had spent the most time on and as a result, the one Quirk he was most comfortable using... even if it was not the most powerful in his arsenal.

The second reason, his body could not handle that much power. Even if he had a hundred Quirks, he couldn't use all of them at the same time. That would knock him out, he knew that from experience. Izuku doubted anyone out there could handle multiple Quirks apart from him and his father, and even he had his limits.

The biggest reason why he was against stealing Quirks was personal. It was something his father would do, it was not something a hero would. Izuku hated to the very thought that he was like his father... the only time he had ever stolen a Quirk... he could still remember it vividly, the expression on his mother's face... her horror, her fear that Izuku maybe like his father. It was the worst memory of life, that was the day he decided to never steal a Quirk... and he never had despite all the jokes he made with his partner in crime. All of his Quirks were given to him by his father when he was young, sometimes, that feeling disgusted him.

The thought of all those Quirkless people, because of him. The notion gave him nightmares, yet, at the same time... he knew if he had the chance to give them back, he would not be able to. He was... possessive of them, and it shamed him to no end.

Izuku shook his head as he came to a halt. He took a seat at the edge of the building as sat just watching the city. It was something of a ritual, he liked doing it as much as he could.

"And I am back~" Her cheerful voice broke him out of his stupor.

"How was dinner?" Izuku asked casually, "How is your dad, Yui?"

"Hmm, you know him, still grouchy." Izuku could almost hear the annoyance in her voice, "Wanted me to invite you over. Said he wants to talk to you about something... and how many times have I told you not to call me by name when you are out? What if someone hears you?" Yui fretted, she had insisted to be called by her codename, Nightingale. He found it unnecessary and her name quite humorous, her logic was that she hacked other people's secrets and sang them to him... hence her name.

Izuku hummed non-committedly, the Tachibana family was something akin to old acquaintances. After the... incident all those years ago, his mother had found a way for him to let out the fire so to speak. To burn the excess of his power, cool down, and learn to fight at the same time. In came the Tachibana family. Tachibana Hoshi had been an underground hero decades ago, retired after his wife's death. He lived in the same neighborhood as Izuku's family, with his only daughter... Yui. Izuku faintly remembered Yui babysitting him and Katsuki when he was young. The white-haired older girl had been something akin to an older sister for both him and Katsuki when they were young... now, Izuku wasn't even certain if Katsuki remembered her.

Then Hoshi's identity had gotten leaked amongst their neighbors. He did not appreciate that one bit. The man had loved his privacy, so he took his only daughter and moved to the edge of the city, near the forest where they lived in a secluded area to this day. His mother had somehow managed to convince Hoshi to take on Izuku as a student. That is how he had learned how to fight, the man was strict, demanding, grumpy, and outright irritating sometimes... yet Izuku loved him all the same. Deep down inside, he was something of a soft man... Izuku chuckled, he could see where Aizawa had gotten his mannerisms.

"What are you laughing about?" Yui asked suspiciously, she had some... self-image issues of her own.

"Nothing, nothing," Izuku replied hastily, "Tell me, did the old man say anything in particular?"

In response, she merely hummed in a way that made it quite clear that she still thought he was laughing at her. "Wanted to see if you can still fight. He thinks your entrance exam placement may have gone to your head." Izuku coughed nervously, well, he was quite proud. "Also, he was quite pleased that Eraserhead is your homeroom teacher."

"Right, I'll make sure to stop by after school tomorrow. For now," Izuku began standing up and stretching his limbs, "I think I am gonna call it a night." It was already past midnight... and it would still be an hour or so to get back. "I'll just go home and tell mom I changed my mind about staying over at your house in the morning." For now, he'd just sneak in and sleep.

"Right, how was your night?" Yui asked, "Stopped any world domination villain plans?"

"I am not a vigilante," Izuku sighed in response.

"Sure you are not," Yui laughed loudly making his eye twitch, "You just like to stop any muggings and help old ladies carry out their trash for fun. You are in denial, Green bean."

"Ok, first of all," Izuku began a little heatedly, "Don't call me Green Bean, I am not four anymore. Secondly, I-I just like transversing the city, stretch out my Quirks you know that." She had always been able to get under his skin, "If I happen to come across someone needing help, I cannot just ignore it."

"And what if someone caught you while you were 'transversing' the city?" She sounded stern now, humor was gone from her voice, "Do you really wish to reck your shot at being a hero so much?"

"If I am caught, then all they will have caught is some boy." Izuku snapped back, "We've had this conversation dozens of times... as long as I have Bio Manipulation, they cannot link anything back to me."

It was true. Bio Manipulation allowed him total control over every aspect of his body. He could control everything from small things like muscle density, bone shape, flexibility to his blood type, and even manipulate his genes. It was the single most complex and complicated Quirk he had. It had taken him over a decade of studying to learn how to actually use it and he was certain he was still merely scratching the surface of what it was capable of. One of the ways he could use it was to alter his appearance. The biggest downside of this Quirk was that to use it, he needed to understand his anatomy. He could only manipulate his body if he understood how it worked. Multiple hours every day studying biology for the past ten years, and he was certain he still had no idea of its limits.

Regardless, Izuku knew how to use it well enough that if he was caught... the Police would have caught a boy taller and broader than Izuku Midoirya with a different Quirk, drier skin, black hair and brown eyes with no freckles, a sharp face, pug nose, and crooked teeth. In short, he looked nothing like his real appearance.

"You don't know that!" Yui responded heatedly, "You don't every Quirk, you are really underestimating everyone else. For all we know, the Police have some sort of Quirk that allows them to see through disguises caused by other Quirks."

"Maybe they do," Izuku admitted begrudgingly, "But I see no reason they would use it on some teenager using his Quirk out for a little stroll. At most, they'd give me a stern warning and let me go."

"But what if-"

"I'll be fine, mom..." Izuku cut her off with a droll voice he knew irritated her.

"Fine," Yui huffed, Izuku knew he'd pulled her string a bit too much there. "Do whatever you want, I am going back to sleep. Don't call me when you get into trouble." Izuku winced as the line cut. Not to self, buy her favorite vanilla cakes, Izuku thought to himself. Yui worried too much, they had this conversation every once in a while but she always came around in the end.

Izuku shook his head and was about to jump out when he noticed something a bit strange. A hooded man entering the alleyway across him whispering to himself. 'A few more minutes shouldn't hurt,' Izuku thought as curiosity got the better of him. He used Spring Step to jump across the tiny cafe in one powerful jump. He landed as silently as possible and positioned himself over the edge very carefully. The building he was on was very low so he couldn't risk getting seen.

He laid down beside the edge after taking one single peek to see two men talking to each other in hushed whispers. Izuku used Bio Manipulation to stretch his hearing as much as could to listen to what they were talking about.

"You have the money?" The first voice asked. The voice was old, raspy even... as if they were smoking.

"Yea," the second man answered in a grainy, whispery voice, this was likely the one he had seen. There was fluttering of papers before their conversation resumed. "Where is it, then?"

"Be at this location two days from now. You will learn the rest there." There was a bit of a pause before the first voice continued, "Should the information fall into wrong hands... I assume you know what awaits you?"

"I ain't no rat." The grave voice responded, it was like listening to charcoal grinding.

"For your sake, I hope not," The first voice scoffed, "The League of Villains does not tolerate treason."

Izuku frowned a little, he had no doubt he had stumbled upon something a bit different from petty thieves that he had knocked out so far. League of Villains... obvious and presumptuous... that did not ring a bell.

'What should I do?' Izuku wondered as he pulled up the hood and covered his lower half of the face with a bandana. There was a strange sound as if the air itself was tearing apart before he realized there was only one voice that was left. The man was breathing heavily and spoke as if there was grovel in his throat. 'I could just attack him, take the note, and give it to the Police.' Izuku frowned mulling over his options.

Would the police even listen to him? Or would they just dismiss him as a prankster... or worse, they may just arrest me for being Vigilantism he thought darkly. Then there was only one thing to do. Izuku stood up and silently dropped down behind the hooded man. Spring Step coming to life as he felt the recoil force his landing building in his legs just as the man turned around with a startled look on his face. In that particular moment, Izuku noted that he had knives for fingernails as he reigned in his strength Quirks... he did not wish to permanently injure the man.

Like a bullet out of a gun, Izuku shot up from his crouch position on the ground and hit the hooded man with an uppercut. He was knocked out before he hit the ground. He quickly pulled out the crumpled note from the man's pocket and snapped a picture, it was some sort of an address. Izuku put the note back in and took anything else he had... hopefully, it would make him think it was a simple mugging. Though Izuku doubted he would ever report back this League and tell them he may have lost their sensitive information... criminals were like that.

An hour later after he had discarded everything and called the Police anonymously from a public phone... Izuku found himself in his home. If he was lucky, that man would have some sort of a warrant against him and would be arrested. Taking a deep breath, Izuku pulled out his phone and let it dial.

"That was quick, I was expecting a bit more before you came running back." Yui's smug voice rang from the other side, "I'll have your apology now Green bean."

"Yeah, yeah, sorry... listen, I need a favor." He must have sounded a bit more ominous than he had wanted to given how quickly Yui had silenced herself. "Can you check if you can find anything about the League of the Villains?"

Izuku stifled a yawn as he sat on his desk the next day. He had not gotten enough sleep last night... which made no sense since Bio Manipulation essentially guaranteed he fell asleep as soon as his back touched the bed... yet the pounding in his head and sore body told him he was wrong.

Izuku wasn't sure what to expect from his first day of classes but he expected something a bit more... heroic. The classes so far were exceedingly normal, English under Present Mic's tutelage had proved to be dreadfully boring to start the day. A sentiment shared by almost everyone apart from Yaoyorozu, whom Izuku was still having trouble avoiding. He was seated near her for one but the fact there were no Quirks on display today meant his urges were a bit more controllable. Also, now that he was prepared, he was less astonished by her ability and as a result, had less inclination to just waltz over and take it. Izuku himself did rather well in English.

Modern History taught by Midnight, while equally as boring, had a much more interactive and attentive class for obvious reasons. His Appraisal also confirmed one of his long-time theories about Midnight's Quirk being more effective depending on the target's attraction towards her... explaining her wardrobe choices.

Literature by Cementoss was perhaps the hardest slog for him to get through. All in all, most of the classes before lunch were pretty mundane... something one would not expect from U.A. high but then again, education was important.

Over lunch, Izuku sat with Uraraka, Iida, and Katsuki. After profoundly apologizing and making certain there were no hard feelings for his disappearing act yesterday, he allowed himself to doze off a bit. Lunch was... interesting to say the least, between Uraraka's happy constant talk of everything, Iida being stiff and earnest regarding the whole experience, and Katsuki threatening to blow up everyone and everything while question his life choices that led him to that table. Izuku realized they must have made quite a sight for everyone.

It was after lunch that the class everyone had been waiting for. "I AM HERE!" All Might's familiar over-the-top voice shouted, "coming through the door! like a normal person!" The hulking figure of the #1 pro-hero entered the room carefully as not to break anything by accident. All Might strode into the room as whispers of awe spread out in the room.

The star-struck fanboyish feeling rose in Izuku's chest as a feeling of relief and charisma spread over him in All Might's presence. This was the man he wanted to surpass... to be like.

That feeling had lasted for a total of thirty seconds before the familiar hunger had shone up inside him. Izuku had expected, known, and prepared for it. All For One demanded to be fed other powerful Quirks... All Might's Quirk was perhaps the single strongest enhancer Quirk in the world, Izuku had been expecting and preparing for this day.

Yet what he felt was not what he thought. The urge was there but it was nowhere strong nor hungry enough, the feeling he had around Todoroki and Yaoyorozu was much stronger. 'Is it simply because I had been expecting it for years?' Izuku wondered. No, this was something else, the urge was there, but it wasn't the hunger that wanted him to devour... to take all the Quirks, this was... somehow familiar. Izuku thought he must have been crazy because he certainly felt like All For One was acting as if it was familiar with All Might's Quirk.

While around others, the desire was always to take... this time Izuku felt as if All For One wanted him to reclaim something it had lost. Izuku frowned, amongst these complications within his Quirk, he also felt caution from within it. If someone had carefully noticed him they would have seen blue tint emerge in his emerald eyes as he activated Appraisal.

All Might's Quirk was strong but simple enough, strength, speed, and durability. It was a particularly powerful enhancer Quirk. His Appraisal should fill in the blanks, it had, after all, figured out more complicated Quirks with less information. Yet what he saw made him widen his eyes far further.

Target: All Might

Quirk: (?)

Abilities: (?) allows its user enhanced strength, durability, and speed. It seems to enhance every aspect of its user's physique. The Quirk seems to operate on some form of energy. Additional data is required.

Izuku shook his head, there was more to All Might's Quirk than a simple enhancer? Also, why would Appraisal require more data when it had used less to solve more complicated Quirks? Still, there was some information there, All Might's Quirk seemed to function based on energy... similar to his own Calory Burn. His Quirk allowed him to convert his calories into pure energy form... which could be used to augment his strength, speed, and durability depending on much energy he allocated to what attribute. The downside was, he had to eat a lot... and he may end becoming a bit aggressive if he used too much energy. Izuku turned his Appraisal onto All Might again and this time it made him do a double-take.

Target: All Might

Quirk: N/A

Pardon my French, but what the actual fuck? Izuku yelled inside his head. What in the hell was really going on here? His Appraisal could not be short-circuiting? Maybe he was simply going crazy? These thoughts swam in his head all the way into the locker room, and out into the grounds.

"Wow Deku!" Uraraka's voice pulled him out, "Your costume looks amazing!" Izuku in his modest opinion believed it was rather ordinary. The color scheme of his costume was dark emerald, almost black in certain lighting. His costume seemed to be made in the shape of a one-piece bodysuit yet his top and bottom were separate pieces blended seamlessly by his belt. His top was fitting but looked loose was sleeveless and had a loose egg-shaped neck with an extended collar all around. Beneath that collar was a gray gas mask that acted both as utility and equipment should he need to hide his identity.

On his hands, he wore similar colored gloves with black knuckle plates that were made to absorb impacts of hits, guarding his hands against damage. His gloves also extended as cream-colored forearm braces that only left his shoulders naked. The bottom piece of his suit was also similarly colored and topped with black-colored boots that also similarly extended into lower leg braces. Many people did not know but the most common cause of injuries amongst Heroes were injuries to their joints either by excessive force or damage accumulated over their long careers simply to the backlash of their own power. Izuku had taken active precautions against it with his arm and leg braces. They were made of damage absorption material specified to absorb the recoil of impacts... in case he punched someone, jumped from high heights, as much force as possible would be absorbed into his braces rather than directly impact his bones and muscles.

His costume was topped with a red belt with a large white buckle with enough space for an engraving whenever he decided upon his name. To top it all of, his belt had a utility pouch on each side to carry standard first aid equipment and anything else he may feel necessary. Of course, it went without saying, his costume was extremely fire-resistant, borderline fire-proof as the agency had described... no material was truly 100% fireproof if you found a flame hot enough.

Izuku was certain the costume must have cost a fortune... but his mother had assured him it was no issue. He believed her, he knew his mother had made certain to take a sizeable portion from his father's various... business enterprises. To make certain that she could raise her son comfortably.

"I agree with Uraraka," Iida approach quite a loud clunks, wearing his family's signature armor, "You seemed to have found a perfect blend between fashion and function."

"I should have been more specific," Uraraka rubbed her head sheepishly, "This is a bit tight."

"Nonsense, you look wonderful, Uraraka," Izuku assured her, "A Hero has to look the part and you both are naturals." Uraraka blushed embarrassingly and Iida he assumed was feeling quite proud at the compliment.

"If you are all done being sappy," Katsuki's voice interjected, "Let's get ready to blow all the extras!"

"Ah, Kacchan," Izuku shook his head indignantly, "How many times have I told you not to call people extras?" He had no reason to look over Katsuki's costume... they had designed them together so he already knew exactly what it was.

"That's great, everyone! You all look cool!" the Number One Hero praised when they all came to a halt before him, his sparkling grin widening. "Now, shall we begin, you zygotes?"

The class responded in loud excited affirmations. Izuku decided to put his mind off All Might's Quirk at the moment. He was here to be a Hero, the very best... now was the time to establish his position at the top.

"Now, it's time for combat training!" All Might announced with a raised fist.

"Question, Sensei!" Iida asked with a raised hand under his heavy armor, "This is a battle center from the entrance exam, so will we be conducting urban battles again?"

All Might grinned again. "To a point. This will be indoor battle training! A lot of villain cleanup is seen in the open, but if you look at the statistics, atrocious villains appear indoors at a higher rate. The smartest criminals stick to the shadows. Kidnappings, break-ins, the black market… a lot goes on out of the public sight. For that reason, today, you will be split into teams and fight amongst yourself."

Just like that, the class broke into loud excited mutters and questions. Even without looking, Izuku could tell Katsuki would be grinning at him. The blonde had been wanting to fight him for months but Izuku kept putting it off with various excuses. Now was his chance to get his wish... it wasn't like the prospect did not excite him as well.

Izuku blocked out all thoughts as All Might explained the test and the details over how to picks teams and everything that goes along with it. He was only partly aware of pulling lottery that determined teams, or when everyone seemed to have split into different teams. He tried to recall as much information about his peer's Quirks and abilities from yesterday as he could... his mind was working in overdrive trying to single out the threats and how to best counter them.

Izuku felt confident in chances against most of his opponents, while the battle being indoors would present an extra challenge due to the nature of his Inferno... it wasn't anything detrimental to his chances of success. Hmm, as long as he wasn't put up against Todoroki or Yaoyorozu, he should be fine.

Todoroki simply because his Half-cold and Half-hot against his Inferno could end in stalemate. Both Quirks had the potential to counter one another. While he should have an advantage since Fire counters ice and he could also take control over Todoroki's flame... he was not certain of it. Todoroki had a lot of firepower behind him and depending on his control over his Quirk... the battle could be extremely hard. Especially since both of their Quirks indoor would... chaotic to say the least.

He did not wish to fight Yaoyorozu... well, apart from her obviously overpowered Quirk, he did not wish to go through what he did yesterday. Now, what do you want? Izuku thought with a frown as he noticed Todoroki staring at him across the room. 'Wait, why is everyone staring at me?' Izuku thought before he noticed the monitor behind All Might.

Team A: Todoroki and Iida vs Team D: Midoriya and...

"I hope we can work well together, Midoriya." Izuku did not even have to turn to look at his partner...

'Fuck... the Universe hates me.'

Chapter end.

Here we are, the second chapter. That was fast, no? I was wondering if I should use honorifics but decided against it... they just feel weird in English. I would likely still use small things like sensei and other ones but things like chan, kun or san are a no-no. Anyhow, what did you all think? I eagerly await your response. Also, action is incoming!

Midoriya Izuku-Quirks:-

All for One: The ability to take and give Quirks with a touch. The time it takes to acquire a Quirk depends on several factors such as the target's health, willpower, Quirk itself, and mental state. Further research is required.

Appraisal: Ability to research Quirk based on the information present to the user. If the user can acquire a certain amount of information this Quirk can fill in the blanks by itself and reveal almost everything about the target's Quirk. Note: the results provided may or may not be accurate depending on the data present to the user.

Inferno: Inferno is the result of a combination of several pyrokinetic Quirks. This amalgamation of Quirks is unique and has resulted in one of the strongest pyrokinetic Quirks in existence that allows its user the ability to generate, transmute, and manipulate fire. It also allows the user the ability to regulate heat in their vicinity, inside their own body, and extreme heat resistance. The true extent of the Quirk is currently unknown.

Spring steps: This Quirk allows its user to replicate the effects of a large spring from their legs. In particular, the user can absorb a great amount of force and reapply it in the opposite direction. Note: This Quirk does not turn the user's legs physically into a spring.

Bio Manipulation: Bio Manipulation is widely considered to be one of the most complex and complicated Quirks in existence. The Quirk allows its users total and utter control over every single function of their body no matter how big or small. The user can manipulate their body down to their very genes. The downside of this Quirk is that the user must have full anatomical knowledge of their body and whatever process they are trying to manipulate. The true potential of this Quirk remains largely unknown. Additional data is required.

Calory Burn: This emitter-type Quirk is largely energy manipulation-based. It allows its user to turn their calories into a unique signature of energy which can be used to augment the user's physical capabilities. How big the augmentation is up to the user and how much energy is allocated to which factor of their physical ability. The Quirk results in enhanced metabolism in its users and the intake of calories is dependant on its usage. The downside of the Quirk is noted to be excessive aggression if too much energy is produced in a short period of time. The limit of what is considered 'too much' is dependant on its user's mental and physical well-being along with their emotional state. The true extent of this Quirk's abilities remains unknown to this day as all of its users have been noted to become extremely aggressive, downright hostile, and have reported complete loss of motor function and memory loss of their actions before they could reach the maximum amount of energy produced. Note: There are no known physical side-effects of this Quirk's over-usage. All the side effects are noted to be psychological which is extremely unusual for a Quirk of this kind. Additional data and further research are required.

Several unknown Enhancer and possible Emitter type Quirks. Additional data is required.
