Vampy: Thank you to everyone who has followed/favorited/reviewed on Lover's Morgue! And thanks for being patient with me while I rewrite the fic. I might even update after I'm all done! I don't own anything from Black Butler.

The night passed uneventfully and soon became morning. Raven yawned as she entered the kitchen, surprised to find that Undertaker was already awake. He stood with his back to her, hit precious hat on the table and his hair pulled back so as not to get it in the food.

"Good morning, Adrian. "

Undertaker turned to smile at her. "Good morning, m'dear. Did you sleep well?"

Raven smiled back at him and sat down at the table, twirling the hat tail around her fingers. "Yes, I did. I didn't expect to see you up and about yet. I thought you'd still be sleeping in one of those coffins of yours!"

"Heh, even retired reapers have work to do. But indeed, it is a miracle that I can keep my poor old eyes open." He set a plate of eggs and sausages in front of Raven before sitting down across from her with a plate of his own.

Before the two could take a bite, however, there was a knock at the door. Undertaker frowned slightly as he stood up again.

"Who could that be?" Raven wondered aloud, not really expecting an answer.

"The little earl and his butler."

Raven stared at the man in disbelief. "How could you know that? Surely you weren't expecting them?"

Undertaker turned slightly and gave her a rather secretive smile as he held a finger up to his mouth, head tilted slightly to the side to reveal his eyes. "That's a secret."

The girl watched as Undertaker continued to the door. What a strange man!

Opening the door, Undertaker grinned. "This is rather early, m'lord. Perhaps now you are here for a coffin?"

Both the butler and the boy stood in slack jawed shock at Undertaker's appearance. They had never seen him without his beloved hat, and certainly not with his hair up!

Sebastian quickly regained his composure and cleared his throat slightly. "My apologies, Undertaker, but we still do not require a coffin. We're here with an invitation for Miss Raven. "

"Invitation for what?" Raven peeked around Undertaker, one of her hands squeezing the back of his clothes so tightly that her knuckles were turning white.

The demon gave her a reassuring smile that only caused her to cling even more to Undertaker. "A party. We are going to the ball Viscount Druitt throws every year at the end of the summer. Would you care to accompany us?"

Raven bit her lip and looked from Sebastian to Undertaker, who had stiffened ever so slightly when the butler spoke. She then looked back at Sebastian. "Could. . . Could I think about it?"

"Of course. You have until this afternoon." It was Ciel who spoke this time.

Undertaker grinned in his creepy way, but there was a menacing air around him. "I'm afraid we won't be in this afternoon. Come again tomorrow and she'll have her answer. Now if you'll excuse us, Earl, our breakfast is getting cold."

Ciel and Sebastian stood dumbfounded as the door closed in their faces. They'd never seen Undertaker act like this and therefore weren't entirely sure how to respond.

"Young master, I do believe we have offended our informant." Sebastian said slowly.

Ciel pinched the bridge of his nose and sighed. "Perhaps we should have invited him as well."

The butler looked at his master, slightly puzzled. "Why? Do you think he wanted to go?"

"I never thought you'd be so dense, Sebastian," Ciel turned and began to walk away. "But no, I don't think he wants to go to the party. He just doesn't want to leave the girl alone with you."

On the other side of the door, Raven was scolding Undertaker. "That was very rude, Adrian, and you know it! What got into you?"

"Nothing. . ." Undertaker mumbled as he crossed his arms and avoided Raven's gaze.

Raven frowned. "You wouldn't have acted like that if it were nothing. Stop behaving like a child or I'll start treating you like one!"

Undertaker forced himself not to scowl. The truth was that he didn't know why he acted the way he did. He just really hadn't liked the thought of Raven going to a party with that demon. It brought about an odd mixture of emotions Undertaker wasn't entirely sure he liked.

Raven turned to go back to the kitchen with a small huff, but Undertaker grabbed her wrist. She turned back to him. "What?"

"Please. . . Please don't go to the party with him. . ." Undertaker stared at the ground. He knew he wasn't acting like himself at all and couldn't help but wonder why Raven had this affect on him.

"Then come with me." Raven sucked in a breath after those words left her mouth, a blush staining her cheeks.

Undertaker's head shot up and he stared at the girl standing in front of him. Suddenly he started grinning that crazy grin of his. "Certainly, darlin'! I would quite enjoy that." He let go of Raven's wrist and walked past her, humming energetically.

Raven shook her head. "I'll never understand him. . ." she muttered. Then she asked, "Adrian, where are we going this afternoon?"

"To get your clothes, of course! We never got the chance to do so last night since you fell asleep after your bath."

"Oh." She blushed slightly in embarrassment before following him to finally start on their breakfast.

"Wrong! Do it again." Madame Red's voice rang through out Ciel's town house along with the smack of a ruler.

Ciel held back a hiss as he rubbed the back of his hand. "Why must I learn all of this? It's completely useless!"

"It won't be useless at the party, Young Master. On the contrary, everything you are learning will be extremely helpful to this case."

"Shut up, you cat obsessed moron."

SMACK! "A young lady does not tell someone to shut up or call them a moron."

Ciel growled angrily as he rubbed his hand yet again. Sebastian smirked slightly from behind his gloved hand as Madame Red started correcting everything his master was doing wrong.

"Come now, Earl, it can't be that difficult for you to learn something as simple as eating food properly." Lau said from the couch. Ciel glared at him.

"I'd like to see you eat like a lady then, Lau! Show me that you can do it better!"

Lau sighed with a shrug as he stood up and sashayed over to the table. "Alright."

Everyone except for Ran-mao stared at Lau in pure shock as he ate like a proper English woman.

"Perhaps you should be the one teaching this to Ciel. You eat more like a lady than I do." Madame Red said weakly as Lau continued to eat.

"Well it all started when Ran-mao and I went to this party-"

Ciel quickly interrupted. "I don't even want to know. Just get this bloody lesson over with!"

"Then PAY ATTENTION!" Everyone shouted at him.

Except Ran-mao.

Raven gently ran her hand over the soft fabric of the dresses Undertaker had bought for her. Despite her protests, the mortician had insisted on buying them for her. Though he did complain a bit about having to use the Queen's currency.

Now she had two night gowns, three everyday dresses, and one slightly nicer dress for special occasions. When Raven pointed out that she'd need a dress for the party, Undertaker had simply smiled at her and patted her arm as he told her not to worry about it; he'd take care of everything.

A knock on the bedroom door interrupted her dark thoughts. "Raven? May I come in?"

"Yes, you may." Raven turned away from the dresses to face Undertaker as he entered her room with multiple papers in his arms. He grinned at her as he walked over to the bed and dropped the papers, which Raven soon discovered were sketches.

She picked one up and inspected it closely. "Are these. . . dress designs? Did you draw them?" She looked up at him.

He nodded and started looking through them. "I don't like spending more of that old bat's money than I have to, so I thought I'd make your dress instead of buying one."

"You can sew?!" Raven stared at the silver haired man in awe.

Undertaker picked out three of his sketches. "Mhm. . . Out of these three, which do you like best?" He held them up for her to see.

Raven's eyes widened slightly as she gazed at the dresses Undertaker's designs depicted. All three were simple and all three were elegant. She studied them for a moment. "I like the bodice on this one, the skirt on this one, and the sleeves on this one. They look alright on these dresses, but if you put them together in one dress then they'd be breath taking."

"Brilliant! Why didn't I think of that?" Undertaker muttered under his breath as he grabbed a new sheet of paper and a charcoal pencil, immediately sketching out a new design fitting what Raven had described.

The girl couldn't help but smile as she watched him. He was honestly quite attractive, especially when he was concentrating on his work. Raven pushed his bangs out of his eyes without thinking about it. Her gaze locked on his lips. She wondered what they would feel like against her own. Would they be soft and gentle? Would they be warm and passionate? Or perhaps they would be fierce and hungry? Raven wet her lips slightly.

Undertaker's eyes met hers, his gaze smoldering. His expression made her heart pause in its beating before starting up again in an erratic pattern. She slowly started leaning towards him until their lips were mere centimeters apart. She could feel his breath on her face and her own breath caught in her throat. Finally he closed the remaining distance between them. The kiss spread like wildfire within her. Her hands tangled in his hair and his hands held her firmly against his body. Their breathing became ragged as the kiss grew deeper and more fierce with each minute it was prolonged.

Undertaker froze slightly when Raven's hand pushed away his bangs. Her touch made his heart stutter painfully in his chest. He swallowed and brought his gaze up to hers slowly. He wondered what her lips would taste like. They were full, juicy looking lips that seemed as though they would meld perfectly against his own. Undertaker wondered if they would be sweet, or maybe a little bit spicy. Perhaps they would taste like the bone biscuits he was always making.

Raven lightly traced Undertaker's lips with her thumb. It caused him to shiver pleasantly. With a teasing smile, Raven leaned down and pressed her lips softly against his own. He brought his hands up, placing one on her cheek and the other on the back of her neck as they slowly built up the intensity of the kiss. When they pulled away from each other, their breath came in gasps and their faces were flushed.

They stared at each other for what seemed like an eternity before Undertaker finally cleared his throat and stood up, giving Raven his trademark grin. "Well, you should get some sleep, m'dear. I'll see you in the morning."

He gathered his papers before walking out the door, not realizing that Raven wanted to kiss him as much as he wanted to kiss her. That night, Raven fell asleep and Undertaker got to work on her dress; both of them thinking, He/she'd never kiss me
