Sonic and friends have been flying over the ocean for a few hours. Sonic was bored out of his mind, Porker was feeling nauseous, and Johnny was just trying to hold onto the plane due to Sonic's subpar piloting skills. "Are you sure you know how to fly this?" asked Johnny, a little worried. "Okay, maybe I'm not the best pilot on the planet, but I'm fine." Sonic replied, a little annoyed. "Well… I hope you find a better pilot pretty soon." Said Porker while trying to keep his lunch from escaping his stomach. Sonic then noticed something in the distance, it looked like they had finally reached their destination. South Island. A very colorful place. It's also said to hold many mysteries that have yet to be discovered. It had many hills that reached high up to the skies and at the very top of it was a building producing very dark clouds from it's smokestacks. Coming down from the top of the hill was a huge waterfall reaching all the way down to the ocean. "We're finally here guys!" Shouted Sonic, full of excitement. "Oh thank god…" Sighed Porker. "Hang on tight! I'm gonna land this thing!" Warned Sonic, as he lowered the Tornado closer to the beach. Sonic pushed the throttle forward and pulled the controls up just a bit. The plane suddenly jerked up a bit upon hitting the sand. Luckily though, Sonic managed to land it just fine. "Whew! See told ya it'd be fine!" Sonic assured them. Johnny proceeded to hop off the plane, Porker got off the plane trying to remain balanced, as soon he regained his balance, he felt sicker than ever. He proceeded to throw up, falling to his knees. Johnny on the other hand took a minute to breath and relax. Once he did, he went to Porker to see if he was alright. "You alright buddy?" asked Johnny, reaching his hand out to Porker. "Yeah… I'll be fine in the long run." Replied Porker, as he accepted Johnny's help. "Come on you guys, it seems Eggman's already set up base here!" Said Sonic, getting their attention.

Johnny and Porker turn to see a bunch of Insect-looking robots all over the place. The Ladybug bots had a red and blue color pattern, with yellow antennae and yellow pincers. There were also bee bots with a blue and black color pattern with yellow antennae. "Huh, Robotnik must've read my mind. The Moto Bug's now have the color scheme I thought they'd have." Said Sonic outloud. "Moto Bugs? That's their name?" Asked Johnny. "Well… That's what i'm gonna call them from now on. Whaddaya think?" Asked Sonic. "I definitely like it." Porker said. "It does have a ring to it." Admitted Johnny. Suddenly, one of the 'Moto Bugs' sped toward Sonic. "Woah, they're revving for a fight!." Said Sonic with a hint of excitement. The Moto Bug continued speeding down in the direction of Porker and Johnny. "Look out!" Warned Johnny as he pushed Porker out of the way, followed by the Moto Bug hitting him. "That does it! You leave me no choice!" Said Sonic to the Moto Bug as he ran and curled up to the robot. As he smashed right through it, they all saw what looked to be an unconscious blue bird come out of it. The bird began to fall to the ground, but Sonic caught it before it could land. "A Flicky? Why was it in that robot?" Asked Porker. "Good question..." Replied Sonic, sounding unsure. Sonic just held it in his hand, thinking about this discovery. This little bird was cooped up in that robot for who knew how long. Sonic came to the conclusion that Robotnik put this Flicky and most likely various other animals in these bots as some sort of fuel source against their will. Sonic's free hand clenched hard into a fist. Eggman basically took away their freedom, and that's what Sonic cherished most in life. "Johnny! Porker! We're smashing every bot here!" Shouted Sonic, sounding a bit angered as he set the Flicky bird down on the ground.

Sonic, Johnny, and Porker all looked ahead with determination. What they saw was a beautiful tropical resort. Sonic looked to the side and noticed a red and yellow sign that said 'You are here! Welcome to Green Hill!'. Green Hill was made up of lush green grass, brown checkerboard dirt, tall palm trees, and yellow flowers. It seemed this place also had shuttle loops, which Sonic saw in the distance. Sonic also noticed that some of the plant life looked withered and lifeless. Sonic thought more and actually noticed a strange scent in the air, it wasn't a pleasant one though. "Well, the last one to the end is a rotten egg!" Said Sonic as he began running. "Wha- hey, wait!" Shouted Porker, a bit nervous. Sonic spotted what appeared to be golden rings floating in the middle of the air. Out of curiosity, Sonic jumped up and reached his hand out to touch them, but the rings suddenly disappeared upon contact. "Huh? Where'd they go?" Sonic asked, confused. While he wasn't paying attention though, one of the bee-looking robots came up behind him and shot out a yellow ball from its stinger. "Look out Sonic!" warned Johnny. Sonic unfortunately didn't react in time and the yellow orb hit him, sending him flying back. Upon falling backward, Sonic heard what sounded like dropping valuable items. He opened his eyes and saw the rings he had seen before. The funny thing was he didn't feel any pain. Did these rings protect him? He quickly touched them again and just let the bot aim at him again."Sonic, what're you doing?" Asked Porker, a bit worried. "Don't worry, I'm testing something." Sonic assured. The bot shot at him again, and Sonic just stood there. The orb hit Sonic and the results were the same. It was just as Sonic suspected, these rings acted as a sort of defense when he absorbed them. He quickly picked them up yet again and proceeded to smash the bot, freeing the rabbit inside it. "Sonic, if you didn't have those rings on you, that robot bee thing could've seriously hurt you." Johnny said with worry. Johnny was right. As far as Sonic was concerned, Robotnik was getting ready for a fight, and as far as we're all concerned, he found one. "No time to waste guys, let's go!" Said Sonic, before he sped off. He then jumped up onto a tree. But as he landed on top of it, he was then suddenly shot back up by what sounded like a spring. Sonic reached his hand out to grab onto a ledge. He looked back down and indeed saw a spring inside the tree. "Who puts springs in the middle of a forest?" Sonic asked out loud, before he pulled himself up onto solid ground and looked back down. "Yo, you guys coming up?" Asked Sonic. Porker looked a little nervous to answer that. "Uh, nah. We'll meet up with ya later." Johnny replied. Sonic just shrugged nonchalantly as if to say 'Oh well, you do you.' before he ran ahead.

"So… How ARE we gonna smash all these bots exactly?" Asked Porker. Johnny looked around for a bit and saw a yellow and silver post with a blue ball on the top. Johnny walked over and placed his hand on it. The blue ball suddenly spinned around and made a strange 'Du-Dun' noise. Johnny waited a second for anything else to happen, but eventually reached his hand out again. He tried lifting it off the ground but was met with some resistance. He tried pulling it again but it still didn't budge. "What're you doing?" Asked Porker. "I'm trying to pick this up." Replied Johnny. "For what exactly?" Porker asked again. "I'm gonna use it to smash them." Answered Johnny. "Now ya mind helping me out?". Porker made his way to Johnny and grabbed hold of the post. They both proceeded to pull as hard as they could. Eventually they were able to get it off the ground, but Porker fell back. "There we go. Now I can actually do something." Said Johnny before he swung at a Moto Bug. The squirrel that was freed from it then seemed to thank Johnny before running off. Johnny inspected the post for a bit. "Hmm… It'll do." Said Johnny. "That was amazing Johnny! It's like you knew how to swing that thing!" Said Porker with enthusiasm. "I've been taking karate classes in my spare time." Explained Johnny. Porker walked up to the smashed robot parts and began sifting through the pile. He observed some of the intricate wiring and general composition of the shattered metallic husk. He lightly knocked his hand on the metal to test its sturdiness. To his amazement, it was a rather tough alloy. Meaning Johnny has a pretty good swinging arm… and that Sonic's quills are dangerously sharp. Porker was stunned by this to say the least. His curiosity was piqued, and he began looking through the pile to see if he could discover anymore about these enemies of theirs. What Porker didn't know was that there was one more metallic menace watching him. He just didn't see it. Nobody did. From an elevated point, there was surveillance bot blending into the checkerboard dirt, watching Johnny and Porker. "Watch out guys!" Sonic alerted them. Sonic jumped at the wall, curled up, and rammed into the machine. As the pieces fell to the floor, Sonic caught the small bird trapped inside and gently set it down on a nearby rock. Porker had approached the freshly smashed remains of the robot, noticing it's head resembled a newt. It's eyes resembled the lenses of a surveillance camera. "I think this Eggman guy is spying on us." Porker said. "Well he's gonna get a good eyeful of me kicking his sorry backside." Sonic said. Sonic and his friends now knew Dr. Robotnik was watching them. One could only imagine what the doctor was thinking right now. "HE FOLLOWED US!?" Robotnik had yelled, looking on a small screen in his hovercraft that had now gone fuzzy. I suppose we don't have to imagine after all. "That little brat from Christmas Island followed us… AND HE'S GOT COMPANY!?" Robotnik shouted angrily. He then shook his head to keep his mind focused. "Stay calm Ivo, they're just children." He reassured himself. "Now what do I do?". Robotnik thought of multiple options, though none were to his liking. He figured the best thing to do would be to avoid conflict and just move to one of the other areas of South Island. Before he could do that however, he needed to make sure his… assets were properly relocated. "Snively!" Ivo called out to his nephew. "I'm going to need you to go and move the last capsule out of Green Hill. "Yes uncle Ivo." Snively said, getting into a similar hovercraft to his uncle. "What will you be doing in the meantime?". "I'm going to have to deal with another issue that's been popping up on this island." He said, floating away. "I didn't account for it at all, but I suppose that's what happens when you're forced to relocate." Snively didn't like seeing his uncle like this. He wanted to build his theme park on Christmas Island, but some kid wasn't letting him. Now, that very same kid had followed them to this new island with even more issues popping up for them. He could only imagine how much stress this was on his dearest uncle. "Don't worry sir." Snively swore to himself. "I'll make sure you see your dream realized."

Snively began moving the floating pod forward at an impressive speed for something so bulky. Though it would make sense why Robotnik would build a hovercraft to accommodate his rather hefty build. Regardless of their size, they handled like a dream. Zooming through the air in one of these pods felt like surfing a cloud. It was in a matter of moments that Snively had reached what he was looking for; A large silver capsule with caution tape around the rim near the top. At the center of the capsule was a small window, in which one could barely make out some kind of movement going on from the inside. "Alright little ones, it's time to go." Snively said as he was about to flip a switch on his hovercraft. "HOLD IT!" said a familiar voice. Now you see, Snively didn't like confrontation. He was never really equipped to deal with conflict, what with his rather miniscule stature. Nevertheless, he knew who this voice was, and it worried him all the more so. Turning his head and looking up, he saw Sonic himself, standing atop an elevated point. "What's going on here?" The blue hedgehog had questioned. Sonic never really trusted strangers, let alone ones who just show up and build robots using woodland creatures as a fuel source. Sonic was about to move forward but stumbled off and was falling straight toward some… spikes? Why were there spikes planted along the ground in this area? Johnny had just caught up with Sonic and saw the situation. He however had no time to question spikes when his friend was about to fall on top of them. Johnny had looked around for something to find. He noticed a small wooden platform, hanging from a rope attached to a… floating orb? Strange as it was, the situation was too urgent to even question something like this. "Sonic, catch!" Johnny called out to Sonic. Johnny had placed his foot against the edge of the platform and kicked it forward in Sonic's direction. The platform had swung forward, placing itself just under Sonic. "Thanks for the save, Johnny!" Sonic said as he gave Johnny a thumbs up and regained his balance on the still swinging platform. Johnny had let out a sigh of relief. So did Snively in fact. Porker, only just now having caught up with his friends, was trying his best to catch his breath. "What…. WHEW! What did I miss?" He had asked, looking rather red from all the running. Sonic had leapt off of the platform, and right in front of where Snively was floating. "Are you ok?" Snively had asked. "I'm fine." Sonic replied bluntly. "You wanna explain to me why your robots are now prisons for the wildlife?" Snively looked rather offended. "H-how-HOW DARE YOU!" Snively barked like a cornered dog. "My uncle's robots are not prisons!". "Explain why these poor woodland critters are stuffed inside of these machines then." Snively was beginning to get annoyed. "We're experimenting with different fuel sources." He explained, in a tone that felt like this was tedious to explain. "Besides, it's not like it's causing them any physical harm." Porker had stopped holding his strained stomach and looked directly at Snively. "If you're using them as a fuel source, doesn't that mean you're draining their energy?" The pig had asked. Snively hadn't thought of that. "I… well… yes, I suppose." he admitted. "Well we found they were asleep when we got them out." Porker continued. "You may be extracting too much energy from them in a short span of time." Snively saw Porker's point. "I appreciate your concern." Snively responded. "I'll address the energy consumption issue with my uncle once I return to him with this capsule." As Snively had turned his hovercraft around, he felt a hard thrash against the back of the pod, which in turn caused him to instinctively fly upward out of fright. He made yet another spin around to see what caused the impact. He had to quickly swivel around in the air to avoid Sonic, who had been jumping at him whilst curled up into a ball to slam into him. "What in the world do you think you're doing!?" Snively shrieked. "You aren't taking that capsule anywhere!" Sonic stated. "This whole robot operation of yours is incredibly suspicious, so I'm putting a stop to it!" Sonic got another good hit at the front of the pod, which caused Snively to fall back into his seat from the collision. "I don't buy the theme park act one bit pal!" Sonic had said as he leapt upward, only for Snively to evade him this time. "Yeah, I don't think you'd need robots for a theme park." Johnny had chimed in as he and Porker began to walk around the fight and towards the capsule. "Do you know how much a labor force costs these days!?" Snively responded, as he began shaking around from Sonic's bombardment. "Mass produced construction robots are far more efficient. My uncle is revolutionizing what we as a society think capable with production." Sonic still didn't buy it. How could someone building on property that isn't his, or even imprison small animals be beneficial to anyone. "You're uncle seems like a hack to me!" Snively had looked behind him to see Johnny had climbed atop the capsule and pressed the large yellow button resting at it's top. The walls of the capsule fell, and out ran many small birds, squirrels, and rabbits. "I knew you were up to no good." Sonic declared as he turned his attention back to the little man. Snively had enough by this point. He was about to press the accelerate button on the control panel. Just cut his losses and leave the capsule behind. One well placed shot from Sonic however, shook the hovercraft with Snively along with it, causing his finger to slip and hit another button. Out from below the hovercraft descended a large wrecking ball, styled in checkerboard paint, and connected to the pod via a sturdy chain. The ball had swung around a little, causing it to pull the pod around and disrupt its movement. Snively struggled to try and regain control of the pod, frantically pulling on the steering sticks. His erratic movement caused the ball to swing back and forth, even knocking Sonic off guard, quite literally in fact. Sonic had dropped all of his rings yet again. "OW!" Sonic yelled. "Oh that tears it buddy!" Snively was afraid of what was about to come next. He quickly forwarded the hovercraft in a direction away from Sonic and his friends, however the ball was hanging too low to the ground, slamming against a nearby stone. The ball's sudden halt had pulled the hovercraft down with it, causing the pod to slam to the ground on it's side. Snively frantically crawled out from the pod and began running away on foot. "This isn't over child!" Snively warned as he ran away. "Yeah, tell your uncle we'll be seeing him soon!" Sonic had yelled back. "Nice job dealing with that guy Sonic." Porker complimented. "You know this technology is rather advanced. Seems almost mass produced in terms of its craftsmanship.". "So there could be more of these?" Johnny asked. "Potentially all over the island." Porker responded. "I bet that's the source." Sonic said, pointing off in the distance. Johnny and Porker turned to see Sonic was pointing to some mountains off in the distance. They saw atop the mountains was the large building they had seen producing smoke when they had flown onto the island. "Looks like we got ourselves a destination, boys." Sonic had said. "Should we use the Tornado and fly up there?" Johnny had asked. "Nah." Sonic declined. "There could be more capsules with animals on the way. We gotta help 'em out.". "My stomach could use a break as well." Porker added. "Besides…" Sonic began saying as they made their way deeper into the island. "This could be a lot more fun!".
